5 /5 Jason Maglovsky: On Saturday, April 10, I was on the way back from vacation with my son and his two friends when my tire went flat. While putting the spare tire on (not a full size spare) I noticed that the leak was caused by a bolt which had punctured the tread cleanly and planned to find a tire shop as we continued our return home. However, the stretch of US-27N we were on is extremely rural, with no options for tire repair on a Saturday afternoon. After driving nearly 50 miles with no luck, we stopped to get gas and grab a sandwich at Subway. The gas station attendant was new and had no advice for us. While placing my sandwich order, I asked the lady at the counter if she knew where I could get my tire patched. SHE, unfortunately, couldnt offer any help, but a gentleman having lunch with three younger kids said, "RIGHT HERE".
The kids were all in baseball uniforms, and the man was as well, with "COACH MOORE" on the back of his jersey. He said, "I can help you - my repair shop is only 1/2 mile away. I dont open on weekends, but Im not about to leave you." He asked that we continue grabbing lunch, gave me directions, and told me hed be waiting with the bay doors open. The repair didnt take long at all and we got back on our way.
Mr. Moore couldve easily ignored the situation and continued his Saturday. Instead, he chose to help a complete stranger out. I realize that this was a very minor repair, but how people live their lives speaks volumes about how they conduct business as well. If I lived remotely close to Moores Tech, theyd get all of my business. If youre in the area, I STRONGLY suggest you trust this man with all of your automotive maintenance and repair needs.
... and by the way, THANKS AGAIN MR. MOORE!!!
