4 /5 LatashaTrueHeart: Ive been natural for 13 years and had to do my second-ever big chop to rectify a straight-haired cut for a blowout that should have been cut while my hair was in its natural state. I visited a barber shop with photos for reference to refine my new transition, but wound up with another bad cut.
Then, I Googled salons in the area and found Total Elegance. I called & spoke with Tanya about correcting my horrible haircut. When I went in, she assessed my concerns and highly recommended that I let Wesley, their barber, repair the damage. She really trusted his skills, so I agreed.
Unlike the previous barber, whom I felt did not really care about me as a client, Wesley asked me questions, referenced my photos multiple times, and showed me pictures of his ideas using photos of his and a similar barbers work throughout the process for clarity of what I wanted. He customized my cut for my face & my head shape.
In my opinion, Tanya and Wesley are professional stylists: people who take their clients and their craft seriously and provide their best services as if they were doing it for themselves. I commend anyone who would place the best interest of their client over his/her own pockets. I really appreciate that. My hair went from an uneven, irregular fade with harsh lines and tufts of hair sticking out to a smooth, even, gradient-tapered fade the way I initially wanted.
I felt heard. I felt relieved. I feel lovely. Wesley a.k.a. Fye The Barbers concern & care for my look and for me leaves me with renewed confidence going forward in my second natural hair journey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Tanya and Wesley!
