Hearn Jeffrey (Red) Very clean and sanitary. Amazing staff. They will make sure that you understand the curriculum. The ammonia operator 1 course was awesome, definitely going back for more!

Susan T I graduated the Practical Nursing program 2001. During the time enrolled my class of four had 1 instructor quit. The program was on shaky ground with rumors of closing several times. I had plans to bridge over to RN within 5 yrs of graduation. I was shocked and decimated to learn the majority of coursework credits were not eligible for transfer. I would have to basically start over. I was busy trying to start my LPN career and in hindsight should have addressed the College’s liability with State of GA post secondary school agency as they accepted PELL and HOPE funds from Fed and state and should not have if not fully accredited.

K D I wouldnt give this university one star if that were an option. The university seems alright through the enrollment process. The enrollment advisors and success coaches are great. After that you find out how bad the instructors really are as well as the provost and the registrar. All fully accredited master’s programs should be rigorous, but they should not be unbearable. The university crams an entire lifetime of work into seven weeks while claiming to cater to working adults with families. There is no support system whatsoever and the instructors are way too harsh with their grading. My colleagues went to universities with much better recognition and prestige and they were not anywhere near as overwhelmed as I was while attending Brenau. Time management is key, but I do not want to forget to mention that if you become ill and hospitalized for any reason, they will not empathize with you. If you need to submit an appeal to be readmitted to school or to gain financial aid eligibility, I would recommend you do not submit an appeal as they are still going to throw you out anyway even with all of your medical documentation. They are very quick to throw students out of the university with no looking back. Yet they wonder why their retention rate is so low. I would not recommend this school to anyone wanting to pursue a graduate degree. There are better options trust me.

Ashley Griffin I’m in my second year of attendance with Brenau & I feel like I have enough experience to truly say, find another school. If you are planning to do online classes you are automatically set up for failure and at a disadvantage.Registration was a breeze, and immediately after you get enrolled, the trouble begins. I could not reach my advisor for months and had to contact the board multiple times for guidance. I managed to maintain Merit List my first semester due to most of the teachers being AMAZING, however, the school is terribly unorganized. I have officially decided to find a different school after a semester of multiple health issues documented by my doctor & issues that I informed all of my Professors & Advisors of. Specifically my Statistics Professor was completely unsympathetic, almost judgmental. Long story short, I ended up failing a EXTREMELY expensive class (that I held a A/B+ in the entire semester) by 1 point after my final. After pleading with the professor and chair of the school, it’s clear that this school lacks understanding and ability to work with online students. So many bad experiences has lead up to this review and I’m sickened at the amount of student loans I’ve accrued for this outcome!

Alicia Hill I applied in November 2014 and have yet to begin online classes. The communication from the admissions/enrollment department is far less than desirable. No phone call followups, no return emails, and now I intend to email the department head so I can have my financial aid returned to use at another school. Very Disappointed....this school used to have high standards and a good reputation.

Fahryn Marrs Not sure who I talked to. I asked for my PREVIOUS years billing from NCTC to be sent to me because apparently they can only be mailed. I finally get it and it’s the WRONG thing. I was rushed off the phone and she didn’t seem to care or know much about what I was speaking of. Kinda off putting

David Patterson I am so glad I took my science courses at another school. I have a few friends who took their A&P’s at NCTC and the experiences they described to me were such that they would infuriate anyone. I’m actually surprised no one has sued them as yet, but I imagine it’s coming by the talk I hear. I was told that at NCTC if you had to retake any of the prerequisites to improve your grade they actually hold those against in the form of deduction of a point from the application. I was told that it didn’t matter when that repeat had happened even if it was before they instituted this policy last year. So everyone that advising and the program told to retake it or them as it were not only spent extra time and money and resources going to school that they didn’t need to they also lowered their chance of acceptance even lower. I was also told by another student that their online instructor for A&P would open her major exams on Sunday night at 8 pm and if you weren’t available or had the ability to log in at that time you got a zero and if by some way you were able to log in during that hour she left the Test window open you were graded on what you could finish by 9pm and the exam cut off. I have always had a problem with those instructors that made you Test on a Sunday and , but this instructor is even worse with a ONE hour window on a Sunday to complete exams. I saw for my own eyes this instructors syllabus and she didn’t care what the reason she gave no make up or drop any kind of lower scores. Let me say to that female A&P instructor she knows who she is and I’m sure your institution does as well. Hey lady they are taking your course Online for a reason. Some people are single moms, and Dads some have to work, and any other host of things that brought them to your horrible course such as limited instructors to teach and limited opportunity to take it in seat due to the lack of available classes. I really hope some attorney reads this review and finds fault and that those students who had the unfortunate experience to have to take their science prerequisites for the nursing program are taken care of. And especially those who failed because of a instructor that seems to enjoy people not passing her class due to her rigid test policy on a day the school isn’t even open.

E. Y. LVN - Instructors don’t care and set you up for failure. Especially Carney. Does not know her own material and act like a spoiled child when you ask about conflicting information. Rude and degrading instead of informative and instructional. In Clinical Skills- Grades are not honored correctly and attendance is guessed. Completely unstructured , fudged, and zero room for success. We self taught and self tested our expanded skills without supervision. Literally gave the school thousands in tuition to get handed textbooks and told to teach myself- then belittled when sending proof of conflicting information on exams and assignments, just to be handed lower grades because we should know better- how when we are never given the correct materials? You’ll get kicked for literally 43% of a single point and they will not care even when you (the entire class) show that there is an issue in the structure. Head of the Nursing department-Borden- no initiative and a blind eye with empty “resolutions” at every turn. Do not attend LVN in Gainesville.

But I had to no issues getting into the gated lot fixing it for about 10 minutes and then leaving. So not fair to rate anything else but 5. No interaction with the people inside.
