5 /5 Sruti Prathivadhi-Bhayankaram: Don’t go anywhere else. Had some oil leaking from my car and couldn’t figure out the problem. They took a look free of charge and were able to help me out. Super nice and down to earth people who know what they are doing. Highly recommend this place!!

1 /5 Jeffrey Aranas: TLDR: Highly would not recommend going to this place. Would give this place 0 stars if possible. A few years ago, my cars front right axle broke. It was a Sunday, so most car shops were closed, but this was the only shop that was open that was near me at the time. I had my car towed there to get it fixed. I dropped it off and came back a few hours later. It seemed to be working alright, except there was a hitch with the steering wheel whenever i turned right. This was the same feeling it had before the axle broke. I proceeded to give them my credit card, but they told me cash only. I had to walk home and come back to give them cash. They also did not give me any receipt of the transaction even though I insisted I needed it. Please note that I had no other options to get my car fixed at this time. The next day, I called them and took the car in again and they said they felt nothing was wrong with the car. I then took my car to the Midas on Roosevelt and they said the axle was leaking oil and to ask Martinez Auto Repair to look again to fix it. I then took the car AGAIN to this shop, and they insisted it was old oil that was not cleaned from when they repaired it and nothing was wrong. I brought my car into Midas again and they told me they would basically refix everything Martinez Auto Repair did, but gave me a discount because of the trouble I was going through. I would not recommend Martinez Auto Repair to anyone. I would highly suggest going somewhere a bit farther for better customer service and overall service. They are very unprofessional and shady for only accepting cash and not giving out any receipts.

4 /5 Serenity Smith: Took my Civic to Martinez Auto Repair on S California for a brake job and oil change. They got me in and out same day, which was clutch. The crew knows their stuff, no BS upselling. Only knock is the waiting area—kinda barebones, so bring a book or something. But overall, solid spot for quick, honest work without breaking the bank.
