5 /5 Kaelen P.: I’ve been visiting North Center auto care for a year or so now for oil changes. A few weeks ago when my car wouldn’t start, I brought it straight here. The issue was a fault with the starter motor, which was diagnosed after my car gave them several days of trouble, sometimes starting and the once moved into a bay, suddenly refusing to start again. They quoted me a very reasonable price to replace the starter motor and the air control valve, which was also on the fritz. They were very understanding of my budget constraints and adjusted my estimate to include just the starter motor, and kindly offered to clean a bit around the air control valve. Once the work was agreed on, it was completed within a day and I had my car back working great. Everyone I interacted with was very polite and helpful.

Super responsive, honest, knowledgable, and also was very fair with pricing. Ill be coming back for any maintenance and repairs for my car in the future, and definitely would recommend his business to others!

I know walking in that I’m going to be told honestly what’s needed, how much it’ll be, and that the work will be done correctly the first time. Growing up, I could lean on my step dad because he worked at a shop. After his passing, I knew finding one I could trust wouldn’t be easy. Except it was- because it was here with Elmer and his guys. 4 /5 Autumn Johnson: Solid spot for car repairs. Elmer and his crew are straight shooters—honest and fair. Had my brakes done here; they got me in quick and didnt try to upsell me on stuff I didnt need. Prices are reasonable, and the work holds up. Only reason its not 5 stars is the waiting area could use some sprucing up. But if youre in Roscoe Village and need reliable service, this is the place.
