5 /5 Ami Wickiser: My husband and I had been members of The church in Dekalb for about year when he passed away unexpectedly. He was only 30. Jon and I loved TcD from the start and were surprised how quickly it became home! We were so thankful for Pastor Jamie and others who invested in us right away. People didnt just want to meet us, but they wanted to truly be our friends and our community. We blossomed under Christ-centered worship and Gospel teaching every week. When Jon died,The church in Dekalb became even more my family. They have carried the grief with me. I was blown away by how the church body cared for me in real practical ways in those immediate days. They still abundantly care for me. The death of a spouse is a crazy deep thing, and my family at The church in Dekalb have been Gods instruments of astonishing grace to me. Without Christ, I would have legitimately gone crazy and probably harmed myself. Im so thankful for a church that has one mission- Exalt Jesus Christ and make His gospel known. Im so thankful that in the deepest place Ive ever been, my church let me be authentic and transparent, but they also consistently pointed me to my true hope- Jesus.

5 /5 Isabella Graunke: Moving to DeKalb, I was hungry to find a church that I could call home. The Church in DeKalb soon became that place for me! I love the weekly communion, Gospel-centered sermons, and close-knit familial atmosphere that the church provides. My first Sunday as a visitor, the church was seeing off a long-time member who was moving. I remember how the church body all gathered with both tears and smiles to see her off. Pastor Jamie invited anyone up who wanted to join the church body in praying, and though I was new, I remember feeling completely comfortable and welcome in joining as we all stood and prayed together. The experience truly embodies what I love about this church. I would encourage anyone to come by and check it out! I am certainly glad that I did!

I have encountered unbelievable grace and freedom in hearing the Gospel each week; my faith has been brought back to life after years of complacency and indifference. This church has made a very REAL difference in my life, and I am so thankful for it.
