5 /5 gerald chelette: George Hauke has by far one of the best automotive shops I’ve ever been to. He goes above and beyond, and even fixed my air-conditioner free of charge. But the last time I was there, I left with embarrassment and a feeling of shame. His wife told me to get pest control to my house because I obviously have a rodent problem that needs tending to as they chewed through the wiring of my BMW. There were a room full of people in there when she told me, they all judged me with their stares. I didn’t have it in me to tell them that the BMW belonged to my wife that passed away in 2011, I had it parked in a barn (not my house), and left it there to give to my daughter when she came to age to drive. The car still doesn’t drive, it sits in my driveway (rodent free), and I bought my daughter another car. I don’t even look at it much as my deceased wife’s car anymore, it’s now a constant reminder of my little girl’s broken heart, and a car I was made to feel ashamed of owning in a room full of people, yet I can’t bring myself to get rid of it. Thanks George for your compassion when I needed my AC fixed, I can just never bring myself to go there again, though I do recommend Haukes for everyone’s automotive needs.
