Karen Albeck I was transferred from another hospital because Bassett had a gastro practice. I arrived via ambulance to a bed waiting in the ICU Step-down unit. The care at Bassett was wonderful. I was treated with respect, listened to and made comfortable. Treatment plans were explained, discussed, and carried out with skill and confidence. Every question was answered by staff who never grew impatient. They even charged my phone at the desk. I couldnt ask for a better experience.

TheMysticalOasisGlow Heidi In June of 2024 I was taken by force by state troopers to Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown for an Altered mental status. 2 days prior to my admission I had called 911 for chest pains and dizziness. EMT arrived with 2 young troopers.After 15 minutes of discourse they said they could only take me to Bassett. No vitals were checked and I refused to go with them to ER. 2 days later I believe I had a stroke and called 911 again. I WAS HANDCUFFED, THREATENED WITH TASER AND TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL. Upon arrival I was dosed with meds I could not refuse, and had no information on risks assessed for this medicine. I had an CT scan showing mass in my brain. A couple days later it was confirmed with MRI. Official diagnoses, by a first year MED STUDENT, psychosis? !?!?Did I manifest the cyst with craziness? NEVER GOING BACK. Also no contact or review of prior history with primary care physician during visit. Kept in psych ward for inquiring about possible heart attack and stroke. My wife was forced to leave, leaving me with no proxy.. sincerely. Jason per wifes account.

P Donohue My daughter delivered a baby boy on 10/8/24 and I have to say the nurses/doctor were the best Ive experienced. Nurse Danny was the best. She was approachable and worked great under pressure. My daughter delivered her son in 47 mins. You can imagine the chaos. Nurse Amanda was the best. Talking and soothing my daughter during the aftermath. I cant thank all the staff enough; Nurses, aides everyone that made my daughters experience at Cooperstown a memorable one.

Jessica Beebe My daughter was born here last year and I had nothing short of an amazing experience. The doctors and nurses were phenomenal! Especially one of the nurses named Angel. Rosa is hands down the best midwife on staff and such a lovely person. Everyone was extremely attentive, maybe even overly attentive. My room was cleaned daily and my meals came right on time. Everyone was extremely respectful of what I did and did not want. I’m so happy that I used Bassett for prenatal care and for the birth. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.
