Candi LaFountain Decided to go to someone new, what a mistake that was! She did ok with my feet, but my new set was horrible! I sent a picture of the current set I had, which was ombre, and asked if she could fill, she said she would have to do a new set, as she liked to start fresh. I asked if she could do the ombre style, and she said she could do any color ombre. I proceeded to take my nails off, as she only had a spot available for 2 weeks out and I was in desperate need for a fill. I was asking a lot of questions, as she is new to me, and wanted to make sure she was meeting my standards. She was very snippy to my questions, almost like I had offended her by wanting a great result. She then did what she thought was an ombre, which she completely messed up! She dabbed a dip powder color and then a dab of pink and then a dab of clear acrylic. Thus, making the color very cloudy. I asked if that was the way she was going to keep it, and she said, well it is cloudy, I guess I can paint over it. I did not want a color, I wanted the ombre look, hence, the reason I sought her out! I had no other choice at this point because I had already been there for a pedicure and new set for 2 hours and 45 mins. She was very prissy at that point, and kept painting and trying to cure. I said the 2 nails on my right hand was not curing, she snapped at me and said I know! She then put like 4 coats of clear over my nails, this makes the nails so think, they looked horrible. She then says just pay me 50 for the nails cause I know you do not like them. I said well I will have to gri d them down because they are so thick, and she then says s Just pay for the pedicure and leave! I said I want to go home, but i can come back, and you can always fix them, she refused, I sent her money through venmo for my toes and left. Totally unprofessional and not a great job.

ischaffee I walked in there then turned right around and walked out. Because there was a terrible smell , they said it was the acrylics. The air conditioner they had going barely worked. So it was hot and smelly..

Julie Hogan I have been going to the Nail Goddess for over 20 years. She is absolutely the best ever. Her work with nails ams pedicures is unparalleled! You will never find anyone better anywhere. My daughter has has her nails done here with her too and agrees with me. She has has them done in NYC and in Boston and they don’t even come close to the quality you will get here. She is the best hands down.

Thiago Lippi payed 350 just for them to rip my big toe off. never going back again and prob suing.

Anna Hogan I have gone to the Nail Goddess since I was 4 and she does the best nails in the area, if you want your nails to last go to her! Whenever I have gone to the larger nail salons the color only lasts a week, with The Nail Goddess my Gel or Dip powder lasts for nearly a month! She is very professional and takes so much pride in her work.

Amber Was not impressed with the rudeness on the phone when I called.. if you are booked for the summer and someone purchases a gift certificate for his wife.. maybe you should state that instead of just take the money. Woman called back after 2 msgs in 2 weeks.. and then was rude on the phone to me suggesting I get my money back. Which I did. I personally do not suggest getting your salon needs done from a salon the obviously is too good for anyone. Best of luck

Rhylee Poupore I do not recommend going to Bombshell Beauty in Plattsburgh, NY. We got there for our appointments and the door was locked because her son was in a pack and play in the middle of the floor and she couldnt see him. We were told there would be 3 people working on 4 of us and that we would have 4 manicures and 4 pedicures done in 2-3 hours at most. I was given prices by the owner over text messages because I couldnt find prices anywhere online. There ended up only being 2 people working on the 4 of us and we were there over 5 hours. We got 4 manicures done and only 2 pedicures done because it took 3 hours for a set of French tips to be done and another 2 plus hours to do 8 colored toes and 2 designed toes. A $40 deposit from each of us was mandatory and paid prior to booking the appointment. By the time the whole process was said and done (4 manicures and 2 pedicures with the smallest most basic pedicure package) we paid $420. While we were there, the owner talked very poorly about her employee, and the employee talked poorly about her boss. Each of them also said some very rude comments about a bridal party that was there the day prior to us who were also questioning what they were charged for their nails. I asked for a layout of prices for each one of us and all 4 times this question was tip toed around. The night of the wedding, the gel was already off some of our toes and I had a blister on my big toe where the drill was used (pictures attached). We were very happy with how our nails turned out, however, an owner should always own up to her mistakes and handle things in a professional manner, and she has done everything besides that.

Jillian W Absolutely amazing!!! I’ve had so many issues with different nail salons in Plattsburgh that I just stopped getting my nails done all together. I just recently started trying to look for better places when I came across Bombshell Beauty. They were so kind and welcoming, I never felt any discomfort while I was there and my nails came out BEAUTIFUL! I will most definitely be back and will most likely be my go to.

Jade Wutzer Will never go here again.. my gel manicure peeled off in a week.. they didn’t even use the color I chose just matched it to one that’s similar but it didn’t have any sparkle in it so literally was not the same color at all. No massage with the pedicure $55 ?!?! And not one rub on my legs or feet, terrible!!! They used the same tools on me… no cleanliness whatsoever. Definitely do not recommend going here also take no debit or credit card and have no signs saying that. Hate to complain but when you’re charging $90 for a mani and pedi I would hope it would at least be decent.

Amy Valenze Was told when making the appointment that my nails and my daughters designs we wanted and colors were fine she could do them no problem only reason we made the appointments. We get there told $95+ for what my daughter wanted and let me tell you again it was the worst waist of my money my poor kid is sad on her birthday . The color of the nails my kid wanted she couldn’t do and the design she claimed she could do looks absolutely terrible nothing like the picture at all the sides of my daughters nails are missing paint and paint all over my daughters hands . Don’t claim to be able to do something can’t and over charge $90 for what wasn’t right . Oh also I must add she told us she could have charged $20 but won’t bc of her birthday . I didn’t get my nails done due to her saying she could do the design and then not being able too at arrival. Woman didn’t speak the whole time and also over booked so was rushing through everyone . Very disappointed. Also the store needs a deep clean very unsanitary conditions looking around . Left with bloody fingers they sliced me twice and had to leave with tissue around my finger because they wouldn’t stop bleeding. 70 dollars for full set that was actually terrible. My nails look like a ski slope, how is that possible. I want my money back.

Sarah Marie I was a little hesitant at first! I’ve never gotten my nails done in a Walmart and the reviews seemed iffy. But we needed a last minute appointment and this was the only place available. He did an excellent job for both myself and my daughter. Great service and great pricing. Don’t let the location deter you :)

Loralei Rivera I get my nails done here regularly I love the service. My only complain is they seem to only like doing short nails. I have ask for longer nails and the cut them shorter then I like and then filed them down even more. Nail quality is great and long lasting. Wouldnt recommend if you are a person who prefer long nails though.

Abby Tony does it again!!! Amazing and patient. I usually have my acrylic chip off after a couple weeks, but a month and still holding! I found a place to come back to! Cheaper than others in the area for the work as well.

Lana I have been going to t-nails to get my nails done for over 10 years. The owner Tony takes clients by appointment only. He is the only one there so make sure you call ahead of time by at least a week to get your time slot. I get a full set of gel nails every 4 weeks and every two weeks I get a fill. No matter when I call Tony always fits me in as best he can for as busy as he is. This last visit he was going on vacation and fit me in at 8 p.m. on a Friday night because I have been a long-standing customer and have never missed an appointment. I have also never canceled or been a no-show. He accepts cash only or venmo. There is an ATM on site. You cannot pay with a credit or debit card. A full set of gel nails is $55 +... A fill-in between is $50 for the nails that I get. Every set and price is unique to the individual and what you get. It is very clean in this beautiful establishment. I have never had a chipped or broken nail from any set that I have had put on. I have tried a lot of nail salons in the Plattsburgh, New York area. I always go to T Nails because of the quality and Tony is very personable. I have a very unique color that I wear for Harley-Davidson. I wear pink with black flames and he hand-paints the flames. There is now a no-show charge and a cancellation fee if you do not show up for your appointment. As a former business owner myself, it is high time that he has this in place. People were taking advantage of his good nature and not showing up or canceling at the last minute. He also has a sign to please be on time because if you are late, it puts every client after you late. If you want high quality nails and pedicure this is the place to go. Update: Today 12/27/2023 , I switched up my colors and from looking at a photo Tony nailed it first try. They are GORGEOUS! I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on my nails. Thanks my friend! 14 years as your client tells you youre the best! Dual purples with black grass lines.

Kristin Carlson Good experience. My 12 year old daughter and I went in for pedicures..left another salon a while ago. We did call ahead but we were the only clients at the beginning. But the lady doing mine was friendly and professional. The other lady doing my daughters..didnt say a thing but did an awesome job. Very reasonable, clean area. The only issue is that they were trying to sell too much...overload. They offered their services of course but also had a corner where they were selling jewelry. I did like that. But there were other areas that seemed like mini yard sales. Second hand ceramics, stuffed animals..tacky. if they just offered their services and the jewelry...would be 5 stars.

Christine Mosher I go to Lisa at Magic Nails for over a couple of years. Her mom, Mary is great as well. Both are very friendly, and conversations are wonderful as well. Both ladies are sweethearts! Prices are comparable to other salons in the area. You dont have to wait for appointments for weeks, like others in the area either.

Amielynn Whitney My husband got me a gift card for this place I stopped in to ask a simple question as I have medical issues with my feet and wasn’t sure if they would still do a pedicure so as I walked in I noticed I needed a mask I apologized and put my shirt over my face as I didn’t have one the owner then proceeded to yell at me! Telling me I had to leave and I needed to call! At that point I was so embarrassed I left I then called and again tried to explain why I stopped and she just kept yelling at me saying I can’t just stop in.. I explained I never been there and again I didn’t know but at this time I just felt like it was very rude so I asked if I could go back and get a refund! She then proceeded to yell saying come back I don’t need you’re money nor Business.. I was so shocked I went back a couple days later and asked for my refund! I did get the refund but the embarrassment I had endorsed was beyond words! I have never had any one treat me the way she did! I would not recommend this store to anyone! Check the pictures out the work she does is not all that great and there is paint on there toe nails! Fair warning she is not a nice women and feels she is privileged to be an a hole to people!

Diana Vartazarian Came in today 4/26/24 for a French pedicure. Don’t let the older woman touch you. I came out looking like my five-year-old did my nails with her left hand. Zoom in on the picture so you can truly appreciate it. I paid $40 plus tip for this.

Altruistic ASMR My friend and I went to the salon together and were disappointed by the service and price. My friend had made our appointments in advance, but when we arrived, the owner said we had canceled them (though we didnt). She and the other employee took us in, but the other employee did not say a word to me or my friend. We were also shocked at how expensive it was. For my friends pedicure and manicure and for my pedicure, the total was over $100 (and this was with "a discount"). We did get gel but we did not ask for it, and the employees did not ask us beforehand. I live in a metropolitan area and the prices are cheaper than this place. The quality of the services was also underwhelming. Additional pic is a week from the service. These pics are a week apart.

Jennifer Girouard Shame on me for not reading reviews first! Worst experience I’ve ever had. Left in tears. The owners refused to refund me. Kept saying they’d fix it, but just ended up making it. Then tried to remove the nails but damaged my nails so bad I told them to stop. Still would not refund me.

Loralei Rivera Got my nails done about 2 weeks ago. With in the first 2 days the nail polish started chipping on the acrylics. I originally got the mani pedi service for $40 and then decided on acrylic so it should have been an up charge of around $50 bringing my un-tipped total to $90 when I paid she told me the total was $110. Don’t know where the extra $20 was from. Also weird thing I notice is my nails didn’t grown out for almost 2 weeks. The last time I got my nails done they grew out in three days.

treyell Ann This place is a waste of money 75$ for this, this is after a week notice my nails don’t grow fast this is the acrylic chipping off the back by my cuticle and it’s also chipping on the sides not to mention I was peeling the polish and top coat off my fingers around my nail as soon as I got off the chair. They are chunky, deformed, not smooth at all a couple go up I didn’t even get the shape I wanted cause there all cut different the man was definitely rushing was drilling my cuticles an the skin around my fingers plus one popped off already which is ridiculous an I barley even touched it, it almost ripped my nail off 10/10 definitely don’t recommend wasting your money on these people

Emily Tolosky Went there for the first time, the lady who did my nails was also doing 2 other ladies nails. 3 of is at the same time. Rushing. She didn’t fill the whole nail, they were thick and sharp on the underside. Paid 75 for the nails lasted 1 and a half days before it cracked and then ended up pulling the rest off. Wont be going back. Result from the first picture of the cut, I now have a bacterial infection that required antibiotics.

Heather Labrake Worst nail salon I have ever been to , pay for a pedicure and its only about 5 min they rush through not even enjoyable , the water was cold . My toes looked like a child painted them . My nails even looked like crap . Definitely not worth the money , will never come here again

Morgan Kissane First called to try to book and lady just said “yep, just come in” knowing it was going to get busy around the time I would get there. Got the fastest pedicure ever and was done poorly (looking like it was dabbed on) and rushed. Looks like I had them for a week already. My toe nails were cut really short on where it hurt when she was cutting them. Very disappointing I drove over an hour to go there and $60 for this pedi.

I am very picky and particular with the designs I choose, and she is patient enough to deal with me lol. aleena maple Found my new nail salon! I absolutely love my nails and how they came out. They actually take their time (unfortunately unlike some of the other places around here) and made sure my nails were the shape and length that I wanted. These are my natural nails and she was careful to not buff into my natural nail. Will definitely be returning and recommending!

Karene Bruce Cute little salon, but there weren’t many color options to choose from for nails. There was only 2 nail techs, I had a scheduled appointment, but they didn’t start mine or my friend’s nails till almost an hour after we were there. They had us sit in the chairs as if they were going to start then walked away and started other clients nails and tended to others first. My biggest issue was that there was NO HEAT!! The technicians themselves were in jackets! I’m all for saving a few bucks on a bill, but when EVERYONE was in a jacket and shivering… that’s a little much. And we were there for 2 hours shivering, and my friend is pregnant. There was a silver tin foil like tubing that went up into the ceiling through a hole and was connected to like a construction like blow fan that they would turn on for a few minutes at a time, and it would get a little bit warmer. But they only turned it on twice the entire time we were there. I honestly don’t know if I’ll go back.

Great customer service, amazing nail work and just an overall very friendly and relaxed vibe walking in!! Colleen Doelger I have gotten my nails done many times at Gel nails since the salon first opened. I made it a point to support his business as it was new in town. I was impressed by the one man job. It didn’t even bother me that I had to wear my winter coat throughout that first winter at my appointments because I figured the business was so new and city electric ain’t cheap. Nevertheless I continued supporting his business because I really love seeing downtown Plattsburgh thrive. Eventually his partner who I want to make clear is an incredibly kind, skilled, hardworking woman began working in the salon which I thought was awesome. The very first nail appointment I had at gel nails was excellent. Dave and I talked about our lives and what brought us to Plattsburgh. I admired the story he told me about being a taxi driver downstate and now owning his own business. He took so much time with my nails and they lasted weeks. I wrote a review as soon as I got home which I have now deleted today because I don’t want people to be fooled. I can agree with others reviews that he charges fairly and that it is more affordable than other salons in our area. However I have now come to realize it is worth spending a bit more for way better service and care. The past couple of months I have seen a major decline in the services he offers. His priority at this point in time is filling chairs and running the place like a factory. He rushes through manicures and pedicures, is rude, sloppy with his work, lies to clients about wait times, etc. In the past few months I have left a little unhappy with how my nails looked but brushed it off thinking it was my fault I didn’t have an appt, etc. Fast forward to today, I will admit I did not have an appointment but figured I’d see if the salon was busy and if they had time to see me which I have done in the past. He said no problem and had me sit for a second. I had no problem doing so and told him no rush as I knew others were ahead of me. I got into my pedicure chair quickly and began soaking my feet. Shortly after I arrived three people with appointments entered the salon. Two for 10:30 one for 11. He told them it would be a moment before he could start. This is normal for most business and I want to believe that most customers know that appointments don’t always mean the exact time. Today him and his partner were working. The three ladies before me were mid way through what they were getting so I kicked back and relaxed. 40 minutes later the water was cold and feet were getting super soft. Eventually the pedi started and it was so painful. He used a tiny dremal that has not been used on me b4 and turned it to high speed. I closed my eyes and breathed to get through it. I suddenly felt a shock up my foot, pulled it away and told him that it was hurting me. He was pushing into my nail beds super hard. My mani followed and I just wanted to get my old gel polish off and a new coat. He hopped around customers, put my hands in cold water (no acetone or even just warm water…confused by this). He was distracted the entire time, work area was beyond dirty with other people’s hair on the towel my hands were on. Used tools that had other peoples dead skin stuck to it. I paid $85 w/ my debit card which included tip. I rushed to my car where my fiancé was waiting for me because we were leaving straight from nails to a wedding. About 10 min into the drive I finally took a second to look at my nails & was shocked (see pic) I called the salon immediately & spoke w/ Dave. The conversation went no where & he continued to tell me to come in for it to be fixed. I asked for a refund & he said no but that I can come & get it fixed. I repeated I am out of town now & just want a refund. He then said no refunds are offered even tho I paid with my card and my name is on it. I ended the call because it was going nowhere. I told so many people about this salon and how nice it is there since it opened. Shame on me, I will not return or refer his business from here on out. Take caution.

K M I had a very efficient appointment today. My gel nails were done quickly (but not rushed). The atmosphere is quite clean and welcoming. There are ample color options and parking was not an issue. The couple who runs the place are very friendly!

Malibu Hadid This was by far my worst expirience ever. The lady was rude and the guy would not shut up about his political views. The equipment looked dirty and she would tugging on my arm and yelling that my hand wasn’t twisted the right way. The nails are not what i asked for at all, and she refused to do my request even though I had made an appointment. I asked for french tips and she didn’t do it because it was a “design”. Also i asked for long and got medium at best. Will not be going back.
