Highly recommend coming here if you need a blowout and a hot style for an event in Hudson. I’m very happy with the quality of service and the results!

Akita Jun Im from NYC and this is the only place up here that has the products Im used to. The service is fantastic and Nellie is just the sweetest, most patient person ever. My 4 year old daughter wont let anyone besides her do her hair--not even me any more.

Mya Speller Good Hair W&MC is an amazing hair supply store! They cater to both men and women which you don’t see very often. They sell essential products to elevate the hair as well. They have amazing customer service and are very attentive to their customers. You have to shop here for your hair products! You will not be disappointed.

Caty Eidsvaag Paula is the absolute best! She has saved my hair numerous times and always makes me shine with confidence every time I walk out of the salon. She is extremely talented and a kind hearted person that is easy to get along with as well. It’s a treat every time I come here and I would recommend her to everyone. Moving from Connecticut to Upstate New York meant leaving behind my hairdresser of over seven years. As a creature of habit, I was hesitant to trust someone new with my hair. I put off maintaining it for a while, unsure of who could match or exceed the quality I was used to—especially with my busy full-time career making long trips back impossible. After hearing great things about Paula from my coworkers and seeing her unfiltered photos and glowing reviews, I decided to give her a shot. Booking an appointment was effortless and reassuring because Paula herself answered the phone. She immediately understood my concerns, answered my questions, and made me feel comfortable, so I booked my appointment. From the moment I walked in, Paula was warm and welcoming. She knew exactly what I wanted and got right to work. Unlike past experiences where I spent 4–6 hours in a chair, Paula dedicated her time solely to me, finishing in a reasonable yet thorough manner. The results were fantastic! I was so impressed that I returned for a microblading appointment—and wow! It was the first time I’ve ever had my eyebrows microbladed without feeling pain. Once again, Paula took her time, ensuring my comfort while providing excellent service. She is incredibly sweet, takes the time to get to know her clients on a personal level, and is very informative, which I truly respect and appreciate. I’m thrilled to say that I’ve found my new hairdresser for years to come! If you’re looking for someone who is skilled, efficient, and genuinely cares about her clients, Paula is the one. You’re in great hands!

Joan Solomon The problem is, they will not answer the salons phone. You have to know the stylist cell number and call her directly to make an appointment. I lost her number and am out of luck! Otherwise, a great salon. Have been going there for years!

Lisa Wolferstieg This is a fun salon to visit! There is always laughter as the people that work there make you feel comfortable and are professional and well trained. Its clean and neat and well kept. Definitely a place to go!

Heather Ann I strongly urge folks to avoid Spruce Salon if they value clear communication and kindness from their hair stylist. I saw Paula for a short haircut and am devastated by the results. And I’m just as disappointed by the way Paula handled the situation when I voiced my concerns. The final result of my haircut is completely different than what I requested. I showed Paula a photo of the shape I was aiming for, and asked for my hair to be cut a bit longer than the photo. Unfortunately she cut my hair drastically shorter! Even worse, the back is uneven and looks like it was cut with garden shears. When I expressed my disappointment, Paula told me that I would never be happy and refused to take any responsibility for cutting my hair poorly. She claimed to have followed the photo exactly, but that’s simply not true and I have the photos to show that. I even offered to send her the reference photo again so that she could see how drastically different it was from my final style, but she refused to look at it. Most importantly, she handled my hair poorly and failed to cut my hair in a way that suited its texture. The result is a terrible mess. Paula also seemed very distracted and left me to attend to other clients multiple times during my appointment, so I’m not surprised that this resulted in a horrible haircut. But again there was no receptivity to this concern. Unfortunately I learned that Paula is not a stylist who is interested in receiving honest feedback from her clients, and she was unwilling to acknowledge the issue. This is not a stylist who wants to help her clients, especially after having caused them distress. I feel strongly that customers should be treated with more kindness than this. Paula is clearly uninterested in keeping clients and instead treats them disrespectfully when they voice their concerns. If Paula had handled the situation differently then this would just be a heartbreaking haircut, which is bad enough. But she has lost a client and gained an honest review. (The photo of the brown hair is the reference photo. The other photo is the choppy mess I received.)

Ann Israel I have been coming to Spruce Salon for a number of years and my experience has been the same every time - ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and I am always treated as if I am someone very special. Paula - the wonderful and talented owner - has always been so kind, friendly, and accommodating to me and I always get so many compliments on my hair color and cut. On top of all of that, the salon is beautiful and comfortable. What more could you ask for? I STRONGLY RECOMMEND SPRUCE SALON!!!

Paige Merrow Paula greeted me with an enthusiastic smile before settling in for an attentive hair consultation and trim. Paula not only gave me a beautiful cut to accentuate my curls (who knew?!), but she provided so much knowledge into overall hair care and used products specific to my needs and typical routine. Paula was professional, cognizant of my time and hair (I had a wedding 1 hour after my appt ended), personable, and honest. I will most definitely make the trip (from NYC) to go back.

Jennifer Fahey Split Endz is home to a very professional and talented staff. I live in VA, and I try to time my visits to New York to include a color and cut at Split Endz. Kim is is very creative, and can tailor any look and style to meet the customers needs. I highly recommend going to Split Endz, and I can only rate this salon a five out of five. I do not agree with the review that states that this salon is cheap in price. Their prices are competitive, and yes you do get what you pay for here, and that is a good thing. Katrina Lee If you need a buzz cut or something else similarly easy, thats fine. Theyre good at doing cute hairstyles for children, but for adult and teenage women Id recommend finding somewhere nicer and more chic, unless you really are looking for the cheapest cut in town and are ready to get what you pay for.

Virginia Loperena I booked Spalon for my wedding (August 2022). Jessica and her team were extremely accommodating of my large wedding party and coordinated both hair and makeup for 10 people (bridal party, moms, grandmas, etc.) including bridal for me. Everyone looked amazing! My trial was in June and both Jessica and Rashonda (my makeup artist) were incredibly easy to work with, thoughtful and sweet. They listened to my vision and gave great feedback where I was uncertain. I loved my wedding day look and got so many compliments. Would highly recommend Spalon for all your wedding beauty needs!

My first time at this Salon I went in and told her what I wanted she gave me her professional opinion and told me I shouldn’t color my hair if I wasn’t going to be able to come back every 6-8 weeks to touch it up. As a mom of twin boys I knew I couldn’t do this. She suggested the blonde highlights as it will blend in the few gray hairs I had! I love the highlights and I love the cut feels Healthy and looks great! I will be back!

Hasty Lemon Showed a picture of what i wanted and didnt get anywhere near what i showed her. I had given positive feedback about the cut and she proceeded to go more and had altered perfection into a bowl like mess. And on top of the haircut it was overpriced and had gotten 10x more hair work done for around half w price. I will not be returning and advise others to do the same.

hanakyle moranz I love Lunes hairstyling skills. She is wonderfully detail-oriented with my bangs and has a very realistic attitude towards my style in general, which is low maintenance. I never blow-dry my hair and she respects my preferences! Lune keeps my hair looking amazing and just right for me. Ive referred many friends to her and I can always tell when Lune cuts their hair because everyone looks just right, totally natural and comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend SaLune!

Tara Foley It’s not the lovely woman’s fault at all who cut it- but I don’t think I will ever get my hair cut professionally after that again. It looked so horrible. How was she to know - she didn’t do it on purpose. It’s still growing out and I just should have been more firm with what I wanted. I wanted a messy bob and came out looking like the hulk from the 1970’s- with this really short shag situation that was just so unflattering for me. It’s been three months or so and I still hate it so much and end up having to wear it in a ponytail - which is actually the opposite of what I wanted- I wanted to cover things up- not expose every aspect of my face. I like to hide. Anyway- my bad- but I won’t get my hair cut again. Oh well.

lauren rossi So happy I found this salon! Joe is wonderful and listened to all of my concerns about my dry and damaged hair and bangs that I’m growing out. He helped me assess how much hair we should take off. He cut about 3 inches. First, he washed my hair and it was so relaxing! After that, he cut it and gave me a fantastic blowout, leaving my hair looking shiny and much healthier. I don’t remember what products he used but they smelled really good. The whole experience felt luxurious and bougie and the price was very reasonable compared to other places for the same services. Great ambiance and music. Thank you!
