My girlfriend and I came here for the first time because we just moved here and they not only took us as a walkin but did such a fantastic job making us feel at home. C A Ive been going to Strut for the past few years and have been seeing Randi for my haircut and color. I LOVE Randi - she is fantastic! Not only is she an awesome person, I love how she cuts and styles my hair. I have been so disappointed with salons and stylists in the past that when I would get a cut, I dont even ask the stylist to style my hair because I usually dislike it. Randi listens to what the client wants, but also advises what is best for the client based on the hair type, face shape, etc. I have asked for things for my hair where Randi has wisely advised me against! The salon is small but very well decorated. The place feels posh without being pretentious. All of the people that I have interacted with have been friendly and down to earth. I first came to Strut because I had received a gift card and had my eyebrows done by Kaitlin (also excellent). Prices are also very reasonable for the services. I highly recommend Randi and Strut.

Samantha Garcia This was me and my friends first time coming to this nail salon, prior to coming we googled and this place had a lot of great reviews and we thought we should check it out. When we first walk in there’s one lady getting her nail done, my friend greets the owner (Jenny) and explains what she wants service wise. Jenny then tells her right away to have a seat and proceeds to give my friend her business card for my friend to send any design she wants her to do through instagram. Mind you I’m getting my nails done also but she completely ignored me. As we’re waiting Jenny would constantly look over at us and ask us if we’re okay knowing that we’re new customers. At some point while we were who I’m assuming is her older son comes out of the room in the back and asks who’s getting their nails done, me and my friend both say we are and he proceeds to take my friend first since she’s getting a fill in and I’m getting a full new set. Her son proceeds to let my friend sit in the chair and does not make any conversation with her at all, he only filed whatever acrylic she had on her nails and left. After he filed my friends nails the customer Jenny was first working on while we first got there finished and was getting ready to pay, I noticed that she payed through cash app and Jenny accepted her form of payment. All while this was happening Jenny was telling her customers daughter write another good google review for her nail salon which I thought was pretty weird. To sum up this party Jenny takes my friend and proceeds to start laying on the acrylic for her nails, while that was happening her son had came over and asked me if I was doing my nails knowing that I was he of course only filled them and walked away again. My friend has finished her nails and told her the price she got a simple white French tip with hearts on the ring finger that was $75. Jenny seen my design which was pink and white with hearts on the ring finger also, she does my nails and her and there makes small conversation. What she considers making small conversation is who we believe should win the presidential debate and then talks bad about her son saying that he’s fat and she’ll kill him and us if we messed up our nails in the process of her doing them or if we wrote a negative review which is what I’m doing right now. She also informed me and my friend that our nails are glow in the dark even though we didn’t want glow in the dark. She did my hearts and explained to my that she was gonna add a little Halloween design for me because it’s still October and I wanted some Halloween vibe nails. She then takes out stickers which threw me for a loop because I thought majority of her designs were hand-painted she places the sticker on my nails and puts them in the UV light and the stickers starts lifting, I then took it out of the dryer and told her that the sticker was lifting which it was and she literally did nothing about it and put clear top coat over the sticker thinking it’s gonna make it flatter (it didn’t) she did let me look at my nails until she finished and when she did i automatically noticed a ton of imperfections. The stickers weren’t flat, the paint job was horrible, the filing was even worse and her customer skills weren’t good either. When it was time to pay I told her that I didn’t have any cash since on google it had stated that she accepted credit and debit cards, she then points me to a atm machine that she has in her salon and tells me and my friend to take out the money even though the previous customer she had payed through cash app. I ended up taking out $100 dollars and tip was included and my friend payed 80 when her total was $75 and her tip was also included. Overall she doesn’t have good customer service skills, which shows considering she told a kid that came in with his mom that she hated his mother. Me and my friend agreed that we weren’t gonna come back here again! I don’t recommend coming here unless you want to get treated uncomfortably.

Jaada Stewart I visited this salon as a walk-in, and my initial welcome was somewhat standoffish. However, Jenny warmed up to me once I sat down. After chatting with her, I got the sense that she might have some anxiety or hesitation due to previous negative experiences with rude customers. While the prices are definitely on the higher side—$75 for a basic set is a lot—I did notice that Jenny uses high-quality materials and seems very skilled at her craft. I’m really happy with how my nails turned out. They look just like the picture I showed her, and I’ll be monitoring them for any issues, but so far so good!

Laura Hernandez This was my first time coming in, I called prior to see if I needed an appointment and Jenny told me to come as a walk-in. I showed up on a Friday night around closing time, and even after being so busy all day that she didn’t even have much time to eat, she was willing to take me for a fill in. She was very welcoming and told me that I could eat the food I brought inside her store and placed me to sit in a spot far from the window so I wouldn’t be cold. She did my nails exactly how I asked her and was super sweet. This set cost me $70 and so much better than jobs I have paid almost double the amount for. Will be coming back whenever I am in Albany. Thank you so much!

Emma Vandehey PLEASE BEWARE: THIS SALON IS UNSANITARY! He cut me open 4 times and never put antiseptic on the cuts, just kept working. None of the tools or bowl were sanitized or washed between customers, he reused someone else’s nail file and buffer on me, and he did not wear gloves even after cutting me open. I should have stopped the service and left but I’m not a confrontational person. I am 6 months pregnant and now have two infected toes because of this salon. I called to complain and was told to come back in, which is not something I ever plan to do. As far as the customer service goes, make sure you bring cash. If you don’t (which they don’t tell you to do on the phone) they will shame you in front of all of the other customers. I wish I could give zero stars. Edit to add: four days later and my gel nail polish was peeling off my hands. I went in to talk to the owner and she blamed me for the infection and the gel polish. Do not go here.

Britney Jordan First time visiting today, and it was wonderful! The staff is very friendly, and I arrived early and they were able to take me without having to wait. Si was amazing, steady handed and able to do the flower design I wanted. All in all, 10/10 experience.

Mikaela provided wonderful insight on how to style my curls and gave me exactly what i needed. she was honest and steered me away from a haircut because of my length, but managed to get the exact vibe i was going for. i highly recommend for anyone, especially curly girls who feel like no salon has been the right fit. i will 1000% be returning when my hair needs to be cleaned up again! thank you mikaela!!!!

Kelly M I started going to Bob in the spring of this year. I am very happy with the cut and the color (which he brilliantly matched so well with my existing color). My hair is very thick and curly and I usually straighten. It’s time consuming, but my preferred style. Bob, knowing the time I spend straightening, suggested a keratin treatment. I considered it for years, but was never confident to try a stylist who does it. Tonight I did and couldn’t be happier. For the first time in my life, I have care free straight hair and I love it! Before and after pics below. If you are considering the treatment, i recommend you talk to Bob. If you’re just looking for great color and cut, I also recommend Bob (and company-the entire staff is pretty awesome).

Michael Sinkora Asked Bob for layers like three times. Requested slightly longer layers so i could still tie my hair back. He decided on trimming it and nothing else. He said, "Because its grown out from a short haircut, its technically already layered." If thats true, it is not noticeable at all. The reviews looked great, and i was excited to go in, but he just didnt make any effort with me. I would consider trying again with another stylist because the vibes in there were immaculate, and they offered me a little beverage upon entry.

Amanda Falvo Scissors III is absolutely amazing. Lori, Stacy and Kaile did the hair and makeup for my wedding. I had a very large bridal party (14 girls) and they catered to what each individual girl wanted while making them look stunning! Not only did everyone look perfectly flawless, but they managed to keep 14 girls on schedule and get us out right on time. I HIGHLY recommend Scissors III to anyone who has a wedding, event or just wants to get done up and beautified for a day! Brian Harrington I got a great haircut at Perfect Cut. He listened to everything I said which a lot of times is not the case..he didnt cut it too short which is also a common result. Anne Vaeth I dont get my hair cut very often - but when it needs a trim I go see Tony. The Perfect Cut is absolutely wonderful. Such a welcoming atmosphere - always coffee and usually a pastry or two of some kind are available. Theres usually a dog (sometimes two) around - but theyre usually sleeping in the corner. Tony is very friendly, chatty, and funny - and pretty damn good at cutting hair. I always leave with a nice cut and a boost of confidence.

Tara Davis I’ve been going to the same stylist my since I was 10 years old because every time I try going to somebody else (because they’re closer), I’m NEVER satisfied with my hair (I’m finicky). So I was debating driving 4 hours to my OG stylist or trying somebody in this area…and I absolutely LOVE my hair. I had Carmelina and she was so good..she just really seemed to understand effortlessly make my hair look absolutely perfect! For the first time in 25 years, I found another hair stylist! Yay :)

Natalia Romanoff Very unfriendly and pretentious hair dressers. If you are not white they treat you horribly. I had my hair done by Jessie and Christina. Both don’t know what they are doing with hair. My bill was in 200s and hair looked same as before. Also they are very overpriced with cuts and color. It’s not worth your money or time!!! The front desk doesn’t know how to help customers either. And last but not least their coffee machine is always broken. No coffee ☕️ for anyone.

Breanna Miller The photos do it no justice honestly. My nails came out so SO bad and I wasted $50 at US nails. I asked for almond and this is what I got, they were bumpy, way too short, uneven and somehow round almost. She didnt even soak my old nails off that I came in with she ripped them off using another nail. My cuticles and nails werent touched (no filing, trim) she literally just went straight in with the fake nails after taking off my old ones. Also, not photographed but there was powder mixed with other nail stuff left under my nails and skin after she finished. She was extremely stern and somehow ended up being the one upset when I asked her to take them off and for a refund. 0/10 overall, save yourself the time and money do not go here!!

Maria Redfern Went here for the first time today. Treated myself to a pedicure and acrylic nails. I read reviews prior and was booked with Sonny. Sonny did an amazing job and took his time with my nails. They turned out EXACTLY like the picture I showed him. My pedicure was great too but I chose basic white nails and the standard pedicure and my pedi was done by another staff. She did a great job as well and was friendly and made sure I was content with what she was doing. As someone who has not been to the nail salon in over 2 years I was so glad I came today. Sonny was so precise and careful, not once did I feel burning on my nails from the drill nor was I cut at all. Truly an amazing experience. Thank you so much!

Misbah Overpriced and do a horrible job literally go somewhere else and get a better job done. This was $65 all because they put chrome when I never asked them to and had charged me $15 for almond shape that’s not even shaped properly. Gave me the nastiest attitude when I spoke up. They had fixed the air bubbles and scratches that were on my nails before however even that can’t fix the mess. You tell me these are definitely not worth $65. You will think they are cheap until they triple the price on you. Insanity. Save your money and buy press ons. I am sure even $20 press ons are better than this. Also I never asked for chrome and when I said I don’t want it she insisted on them because they were already on my nail.

Amber Lynn Leo is a little firm and will hold your hand hard, but the work is beautiful. I have only been twice and my nails look very pretty each time, had Evan the first time and he was very gentle. The massages with the service is great. Update: I got home and saw that the skin of my fingers looked like they were filed as well. I put on some liquid bandage and they healed up.

I know there’s a language barrier, totally understandable, but still maybe just say sorry? I bled for 15 minutes and it really burned but I know accidents happen, just nice to have it acknowledged. *The owner addressed my situation and was very helpful and professional, I went back and had my nails done and they’re beautiful. Chelsea Light I found my new nail place! Queen House has been able to accommodate me for same day appointments as long as I call in advance. I’ve been to Niki twice for an ombré manicure and she does such a fantastic job! My first one lasted nearly a month and I could’ve kept it on even longer. Thank you to the staff and especially Niki for such an amazing job. My last 2 manicures have been my favorite manicures ever.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The salon itself was immaculate—spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, which instantly put name at ease. I opted for both a manicure and a pedicure, and I was blown away by the level of service. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of care I received. They provide you with your own nail supplies stored in a box with your name and birthdate to use each time you come in. My nail technician was attentive, professional, and truly skilled. They took their time to ensure that every detail was perfect, and I left with nails that looked stunning! The highlight of my visit was the amazing massage during the pedicure. It was heavenly! The combination of a relaxing massage and the pampering of my feet made for an unforgettable experience. Kerri Malcolm I have been to many nail salons over the years. Mia Nails is the best of the best. I bring in a picture of what I want and they do it exactly. The prices are awesome and I will not go anywhere else. 10 out of 10, would highly recommend.

Sharanya Rachel John New management now and they’re super welcoming and kind. Ryan did an acrylic set for me with tips and it costed $50. I think he said shapes (coffin/almond) would be $5 extra on top of that. Same goes for length (an extra $5 on top of $50). He was extremely patient in answering all the questions I had (which were a loooot btw) and had no issues repeating himself. Communication was a bit of a problem but you know what, it did not matter. He did an excellent job and I love my nails. They’re super sturdy and shiny. Mia Nails is (relatively) new in the area and I found everything waaaay better than a couple of salons I’ve been to. I went to Colorful Nails a lot, and always felt so congested in there. Limited space and the owner always finds the need to justify every single thing that happens in his salon and he’s just unstoppable. I do not like that behavior one bit. The environment at Mia on the contrary, is very calm and comfortable. Did get a few cuts from the electric nail drill, but mistakes tend to happen I guess. Prices are affordable and they also give you a coupon for the next visit if you pay in cash. Ryan is extremely sincere and returned some extra cash we handed him by mistake! Isn’t that just amazing? He’ll offer you a complimentary back massage too if you need one (for sitting put that long). I definitely recommend trying them out! Do not hesitate in giving them a chance! 10/10 for honesty, sincerity, politeness, kindness, effort, and patience.
