Ashley S So it took weeks for me to decide where am I going to go for my nails now that I moved to the island. This was a quick walk nearby so I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did!! Everyone is very nice and sweet which is what you need going to a nail salon. It was also very calm. I did a gel manicure and gel pedicure for $70. The pedicure was amazing, it came with a scrub and massage and I really needed it lol! I’m so happy I came here, this is now my new spot :) 10/10

Tatyana Kurkina I get a hard gel manicure rvery 2 weeks. Everyone at Holly nails is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Ive been to a few nail techs since coming back to NY in November, and Emily at Holly Nails is by far the best! She is incredibly talented, always accommodating, and brings so much creativity to every set. She is very patient with me since I always want intricate designs and makes my nails look amazing. Her nail shaping is flawless, and she makes my hard gel nails look completely natural. If youre looking for a skilled and artistic nail tech, I highly recommend booking with her!

Laura I started getting my nails done at Holy Nails a few mo nuts ago and absolutely love this place. The staff if friendly and very accommodating. Had my nails done by Cindy in December for Christmas and got a lot of compliments from my customers. While my nails were drying she gave me a back massage it was just what I needed after a long day at work. Can’t waist to have her do my pedicure. If you haven’t tried them out yet you should. You won’t regret it.

Morgan Hasner Friendly atmosphere where the artists take care of their client. I had a pedicure by Lucy and the next day soaked my gritty nails off and had light concept done by May. I was going to do French but the color May put on was so pretty I kept it as is. Each time you go you put your phone number in towards a future discount. Credit cards are accepted and there is a ATM machine, but I suggest cash if you can. Needless to say I found a new nail salon.

Queenie Ho The staff is extremely welcoming and talented. Their gel-x and acrylic styles have such a variety and they are able to practically copy and paste your reference photos! They speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese ✅✅✅ They do chrome designs, cateye, and have a large selection of charms.

Amatz Nice salon, nice people. Not sure if I had a new person but definitely felt rushed... my acrylic nails came out extremely thin and uneven lengths on each finger. My cuticles were left a mess which ive never had happen at a nail salon so that was a first. I had to tidy them up myself when I arrived home. They do massage youre shoulders which is nice.

Ana Antequera So glad Yo Yo nails are right near my house. The staff is super friendly and I always get treated so nice. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Best of all I love when you get a neck and back massage that feels wonderfull.

Andrea Pignato I had a Russian manicure done for my wedding, and I couldnt be happier with the results! This was my first time experiencing a Russian manicure, and I fell in love with the technique and the final look of my nails. Leticia was so precise, neat, and clean throughout the entire process. She even fixed two broken nails, and you couldnt even tell they were ever damaged. Leticia is incredibly nice and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. Her room is cute and spotless, with a very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a Russian manicure!

danielle wright i’ve been going there forever and never had a problem they have new people there and i was going to walk out and the one lady was harping on me to stay sit down and to relax and that they all knew what they were doing. I spent a total of 2 hours there and my nails came out horrible. I asked them to fix it and “they did” meanwhile they are thick uneven and have dents in them. i got powder dip i am very unhappy with this and will not be going back. The lady also cut 2 of my fingers with the drill and did not seem to care that i was bleeding

alexis elena I went into the salon with one of my nails cracked. When doing my nails the nail artist didn’t put any type of glue / sealant to stop my actual nail from Breaking. Nor did they put on a tip to fix it. Instead she painted over my partially broken nail. The nail broke twice. I told her to put a tip & she said she was unable to because of where the break is. If you take the time you are able to fix the nail properly where the crack was. I had previous nail artist do is plenty of times. but they do not care enough to handle you with patience or care. She proceeded to tellMe to come back at a later time to fix my nail That now broke THREE times. The picture with my whole hand you see my middle finger nail is shorter I had to go to a different salon to get my nail fixed because she wouldnt take me in. This was not even two weeks ago and another finger chipped and another nail is completely broken. Mind you I am not a wild person nor do I have a strenuous job where all my nails should be breaking. Cheap products, rude customer service. The nail artist didn’t even clean up my cuticles which is something you should expect when paying 60 dollars for a gel manicure. Will NEVER go back. Do NOT recommend.

Doris Cordero My daughter and I recently got our nails done here. The place has been renovated and is under new ownership. We both got a pedicure and although I read a review here that they no longer use the hot stones, we found that not to be the case with us. They used the hot stones and our pedicures were not rushed. My daughter loved the way her nails were done and we will definitely be back. I find the prices to be fair and similar to what they used to be.

COOKCOOK1966 The last several times that I’ve gotten my nails done, the gentleman always makes my cuticles bleed by cutting too much or pushing too hard. Today I had either his wife or daughter and she made my cuticles bleed on 3 fingers. I don’t know if I will ever return. My fingers are painful & now I have to watch out that it doesn’t get infected.

Christina D I have been going here for years and now it’s under new ownership. It used to be warm and friendly environment. Their pricing has gone up and the quality of services are not where they used to be. I was very upset when I called and specifically asked to see Elizabeth who has been working there for years. They told me she was still there and my appointment would be with her. When I arrived she was no where to be found and when I questioned them they immediately couldn’t speak English anymore. I was aggravated but decided to get a pedicure anyway. No more exfoliating lotion, no more hot rocks just a quickly rushed pedicure that literally chipped the next day. Sorry to say I miss the old staff and will not be returning here.

Mary Zaki I’ve visited this place several times for convenience since it’s the closest salon to where I live, but every time I go I leave disappointed with the result. The last few times I have left with cuts on at least one of my fingers. Avoid this place at all costs.

Persephone Dgheim All I can say is DO NOT GET THE SPA pedicures, they are a total scam. I requested the lemon pedicure which was supposed to include a hydrating mask, a lemon scrub, a 15 minute message and hot stones. The only thing I got as advertised was the 15 min foot massage. The mask the lady used was from a tub, it looked to be one of those 5 dollar mud masks you get in those big jars from amazon. Other than that she used only a very small amount on my legs and didnt even wash my legs off first. the scrub she used was not lemon, it was the regular scrub they use for all pedicures. the hot stone treatment consisted of rubbing a warm stone on my leg for 5 seconds each leg. now I will say that my legs are feeling smooth but my issue is that other than the massage the spa pedicure that cost $55 did not give what was advertised. they should be upfront about what products they actually use on you and for 55 dollars I feel I should have gotten more. They also were very hesitant to turn on the massage on the pedicure chair. Its a nice hygienic looking salon but theres room for improvement.

Socorro Puzo After seeing the google reviews I took myself and my daughters to get our nails done. My nails are baby pink dip powder and my daughter had acrylic with hand design. My daughter showed them a picture and they got it spot on. I was not disappointed. This salon is extremely clean and organized. My nail tech Ling was wonderful. I will definitely be coming back.

Julianna Meyer This is hands down the best nail salon on Staten Island! Jasmine and Eva are so attentive and polite. Jasmine takes her time to make sure every detail of your nails is perfect. The salon is so clean, beautiful, and new. I got powder tips with a design, and it was exactly what I asked for!! The shape, color, and design of my nails are perfect!! The best salon and the best nail techs!! 11/10 would recommend!!! I will definitely be back!!

Jennifer Burman This is genuinely the best salon I’ve ever been to. I went to jasmine and she was incredible. She took her time, was so careful, and my nails have never looked better. The salon is 10/10 clean, the staff is so nice, and they have so much services to choose from. I also got a 20 minute massage and fell right asleep. I will definitely be a loyal customer here.

Olivia the BEST nail salon I have ever been to. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my manicure was exactly how I wanted, including trialing colors/glitters before doing my nails. They also take the time to shape your nails how you like and check in throughout the process to make sure it’s looking as you want. Everyone is so kind and the space is so clean. Would highly recommend!

Alex Kuzma When my nail technician moved to a farther location I decided to look for a new place near my house. Based on Google reviews, I went to Lava Nail. My first technician was Kiki for the powder gel nails. She damaged my nail and I have to take a break for two month to recover. Decided to give another chance and ask for an experienced person. Hanna did my nails and after two weeks two nail covers fell off. Not coming back for a dip powder. However, the pedicure done by Lisa was amazing. One of the best technicians that Ive had in the past. Therefore, for a dip powder 1 star, for the pedicure 5 stars. Average is 3 stars.

Tracy Demarest I sought a new salon for my wedding nails in February 2023. I found and received excellent service from Nicole for my manis and Jessie for my pedis. My nails always look great. I have acrylic nail tips and my toes get gel polish. What a time saver to not have drying time. Shoes on and off I go. Never a smudge, chip, or lost tip. I go every 2-3 weeks for fills depending on my schedule and events. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. They can be very busy here. I always book in advance and appreciate that they are on time and not over booked. I have not utilized any of their other salon services.

Jacklyn Peczek Gel started peeling after 1 week, this shouldn’t happen. They never applied a bottom coat, barely let it dry and didn’t allow me to wash my hands before painting. This now caused fungus to grow under the acrylic power. Very annoying and won’t be wasting my money and time here again. Now I have to pay someone to fix my nails, ridiculous. (Picture is 2.5 weeks after service, these usually last me 3 weeks tops and still look perfect) Go to Hugenot nails instead!!!!

Chrissy Wanted to love this place more but the best part as the neck rub, my nails are meh. I was a walk in, Theresa started my nailed and stopped 3 times to make phone calls. Didnt even say anything she just got up the first time outside the other 2 times at the counter. There were more times after she stopped but I can understand when phones ringing or ppl need to pay. Not even done shaping my nails I get what seems like a new person swaps. Which she buffed and polished my nails, wanted a design on my ring finger she did ok. She was a bit rougher on the nails, but everyones starts somewhere. Than paying, I didnt have cash I went to tip on card. I was gonna give the massager 10 and her 5. I usually tip 5 for nails and Im told paying I have to switch that. I said whatever give them both 10. Massager did a for my neck, but I know I wont be coming back. Place is out of date, sitting there looking at a burnt on the bottom tv, the atmosphere is very uncomfortable. A lot of stuffs broken around the shop. Not once did anyone try to make a conversation or any type of friendliness here. So between my streaky nails, ambiance, over all experience Id say pass on this place.

Nawal Elsibay Ive been getting pedicures at Coco nails for over a year now, and I enjoy my experience here everytime. The women are all so accommodating and make sure youre taken care of. My favorite is Veronica. She is very good at what she does and is very professional. She also does excellent leg and feet massages during the pedicure and makes sure your experience at the salon is a good one. Thank you Veronica! ❤️

Nicold Delorenzo I went in for a regular manicure which was listed for $15. They charged me for taking off gel which was another $10. This was not listed or told to me until I was already paying. I waited for 40 minutes and there was only 4 other customers. The manicure was rushed and sloppy. Paint all over the side of my nails. The lady who did my nails then demanded a tip as my nails were drying. In total I was charged $30 for a horrible manicure. Horrible experience!

Danielle Geandomenico I stopped going here years ago due to bad experiences. Have not missed the place at all. Theyre more expensive for exact same services than most other nail salons- however I went back just to see Blanca for a pedicure because she gives the best leg and foot massage Ive ever had with a pedicure- no one compares. I had my pedicure with her and the massage amazing- the other workers there who do nails only- horrible. Rude as can be. While I waited for someone to finish who could do my nails another employee who could have greeted me or done my nails was doing her nails- for over an hour. Playing with the polishes. Multiple employees were sleeping with their heads down at their work stations the entire time I was there to get my nails done. There was a massage guy who didnt move from his seat the entire time or look up from his phone. Other workers who sat at their desk and stared at phone entire time. It was uncomfortable- as other reviewers have mentioned... this is not the way to operate a business. People could have been working- stocking- cleaning- asking clients if theyd like a water or a massage etc- anything. I was ignored. Multiple times. When I finally got a person who could do my nails she was rude. Anything I asked she was angry and rude. I asked her to help me find a dip color like Funny Bunny and showed her a picture of the color on nails- she was nasty and threw the colors at me and kept repeating these are the only colors we have... my thought here was you are the professional who does dip color day in and day out- so show me what you know is a soft white color- she didnt want to help she wanted me to pick a color even though I couldnt find a soft white at all or a white in general. I was frustrated. I looked at the employee sitting next to her and showed her the picture and said do you know of a soft white? She totally blew me off and nodded her head as if to tell me dont talk to me! She said No! You ask her she will help you those are the colors! Incredibly rude. And my thought was yes Id love for her to help me- but she doesnt want to. After we picked a color she was throwing my hands around and yanking them as Ive noticed the ones with attitude do- which honestly makes me so angry. Im paying you. Im paying you for a service. Not to take out your frustrations on me and be nasty. Im literally paying 50.00 (overpaying by 10.00 bc Coco nails over charges for everything compared to other salons) for you to do a simple dip and youre being short and nasty and rude. Anything I asked like can they be a little shorter was met with excuses and basically being told no. Its insane and such a terrible experience- one of many reasons I stopped going years ago and found other places. Mind you- I was only back because I just had a baby and really was craving an amazing pedicure massage from Blanca. So long story now- I will never ever go back for nails. I will see Blanca only for massage. I wanted to make sure hopefully the owner Theresa sees this and changes how she is managing this location and her staff- bc at this rate- wow. She wasnt there and was at a second location. Your employees are sitting around with their heads down, scrolling their phones, sleeping at their station, ignoring customers and on top of it all being down right rude. There is nothing about that experience that would make a person want to return for a service. Terrible. The place I go regularly now is Holly Nail by Veterans and wow they are so friendly and nice and sweet and less money.

Lisa Velez This was my first time visiting and I absolutely loved my experience, I had a Gel Mani & Pedicure Done and I felt 110% pampered and taken care of here which is something I haven’t felt at a nail salon in a long time, I actually felt like they cared about the service they were doing, my nail tech and pedicure person took their time and painted my nails with precision, very very clean salon as well, it is small so I would advise to make an appointment just to make sure you won’t wait long. I will be returning here , everyone was very pleasant and welcoming had a very good and relaxing experience, and my nails came out absolutely stunning most importantly , thank you !

S A I truly cannot thank the wonderful staff enough for going above and beyond for me today after I crutched out of my house for the first time in two weeks post surgery. I was in desperate need for a refresh as it’s been so difficult lately and I was so embarrassed by how grown out my nails were. Every single person who serviced me today went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable, bringing me water and even doing my eyebrows for me in the manicure chair so I didn’t have to crutch around. The technician took her time to perfect every single detail and gave me an impeccable gel manicure. My eyebrows are finally tamed. I finally feel like myself again. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. I will return (from New Jersey) again and again. This salon is truly the best I have been to.

Morgan Hasner I have know Lee and have been going to her for years. I am so happy for her to have opened her own business! A FAMILY business!! I havent done my nails in over a year...and finally went in today to see her and the new store. Its immaculate and she has updated features such as, disposable plastic liners in the water tubs for a higher level of cleanliness... bag hooks so your purse is not in the way or on the floor..... as well as a tray to hold your drinks, phone, etc. SNS takes pride in what they do. They are kind, accommodating, and gentle, and most important, experienced. Always feel like I am going to visit family when I go see her. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Dannie I have been looking for a “home” Nail Salon on the island for a long time, and then I came across this place and met Mariela. She has to be one of the most attentive Nail tech perfectionists I have ever met. You can tell she definitely knows what she’s doing and wants you to leave satisfied and happy, no matter how long it takes. This place is clean, affordable and super friendly.
