Meems E Just no. Poor customer service. Beyond poor. Excuses excuses... In this day and age we are ALL busy so we work our schedule around posted business hours. If you cant accommodate that then change your hours. Walking in an hour before close of posted business hours closing and being turned away because you have an exam is ridiculous. If you need to change hours to accommodate your school schedule then fine. But driving to a location within an acceptable time frame only to be turned away when I also have many responsibilities and time constraints is unacceptable. Otherwise I would have loved to come during the "sweet spot" of hours.I also am in the customer service industry so I have to accommodate those people when Im at work and do so happily. However, that only gives me so much time to do things like my nails when Im not working or doing continueing ed, etc etc etc ...

one uup I was in town visiting friends and was recommended this shop. I love the atmosphere and the welcoming ambience. Jennifer was very sweet and soft spoken, she knows her job very well. When I come to visit again, I know where to get my nails done at. ☺️☺️

Klynn Chapman Walked in today, I was greeted and sat down. After 3 minutes (there was one worker and one customer). The worker asked me what I wanted to get done and then asked me if I had an appointment. Shouldn’t you have asked if I had an appointment before asking what services I wanted to get done? Next time, have a sign that says appointments only. I’m starting to believe that Business owners forgot they’re in business because of the consumers! 0/0 wouldn’t recommend.

Amanda Leckonby Today I walked into the nail salon for the first time. They were able to take me immediately. David did my gel manicure.He was very pleasant. He asked me if I liked the color before continuing. He also asked me about my nail shape and length. Lotion was also applied.He didn’t rush, but I was done rather quickly. I was very pleased and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this nail salon.

Alysse Carpenter I will never go to David’s nails again I went one before a few years back and they complete destroyed my nails I decided to give them another chance and I should of just listened to my gut because again they completely didn’t care they rushed my nails they are not the shape I asked for the lady used the completely wrong color there’s bumps all over and the “heart” on my ring finger are just blobs I asked he multiple times to fix them and she ignored me never again will I go to David’s nails

Kelly Russo I love Jenni!!! She was my nail tech when she worked at Ly Nails in Crossgates and I followed her here. She has never did a bad job with my nails or eyebrows. Every time I come see her I bring her a picture of how I want my nails done and she does it exactly how I want.

Serena Ashley-Ortiz Prices not posted, they come up with their own. Also they messed up my daughters nails and had to redo them, then charged her 78 for not pretty nails. The owner gave her attitude on the phone and hung up on her when she had a question. Very unprofessional and we wont be back. This isnt 1990s right... As the owner said while hanging up on my kid.

Vonda C I asked for a basic pedicure. I picked out my nail color and she came over with another similar color and asked if that one was okay. What she didn’t say (or I didn’t understand because she didn’t speak English) was that the new color she picked out was gel and cost $10 more. I got ripped off without even knowing it. Sadly, because they didn’t care or take care of the situation, I won’t be going back.

Jaz I come here every now and then. No appointment is needed. However, you can make one. Staff is friendly and quickly acknowledges their customers as soon as you enter. Prices are reasonable compared to other nail salons near the area. I do think that they could use a refresh of colors. The color books pretty much have the same colors for the past 2 years Ive gone there. Their nail art is also a bit dated. I usually do gel manicure and gel pedicure. Ive done ANC here, too. Its not too bad.

Nat I live less than 5 minutes away, yet I only go here on an emergency basis... Generous 3 stars because they are always available... BUT BLACK WOMEN BEWARE, EXPECT LESSER QUALITY SERVICE. No rudeness or any mean racism.. just less effort and attention to detail. I got a full acrylic French set today. The tech used white tips, which I thought would give a more crisp result. But not so. He didnt fully remove the clear chrome I had on my nails, so it is visible on some nails. Also, he didnt let me go wash my hands after all the filing and drilling, and so there is a lot of dust and bubbles. $55 Took a little less than an hour.

Mickayla Fitzpatrick Dont waste your money anywhere else. This place cares about your nails and not money hungry like most places in this area. All the other places use drills on your nails making them weak and eventually making even worse problems. They only care about getting as much people in and out as possible because like I said they are money hungry they dont care about your nails and this place does. They take there time and the price is totally worth it. Also the staff is nice and friendly.

Lisa K Jones I have been going to Gratitude Nail Spa since they opened and followed Tu from her previous spot. She is the best nail tech in the area. Shes quick, but very meticulous and your nails will last longer than 2 weeks. Go see Tu and be sure to book your appointment in advance.

Stacy Winn This was my first time here and I had a wonderful experience. The facility was very clean you had to wash your hands when you went in and you use your own nail files. Daniel was very pleasant chatted with me made me feel relaxed and did a fantastic job on my nails. I will definitely be going back and getting my nails done

Even with me not knowing the names for the designs and shapes I wanted they understood and made my idea come to life. Honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever been in a salon before. Amazing work and so durable, even after 3 weeks working 10-12 hours the polish and designs stay. Best experience

Jessica McFarland I used to go there for a while. I stopped getting my nails done to give them a break and because i could never get in on a day off because they were closed. I called today to schedule a week and a half in advance because they usually book out a ways because their that good. The guy was extremely rude and said that because i was a new customer, he wouldnt book out that far because Id possibly no call no show. Ive never done that, and i said Ive been there before he then said well i dont know you, so i wont do it, and hes the only one there. I would glady paid in full to book the appointment for 2 people, but they just lost a customer. No matter how good a place is if they have horrible customer service thats a done deal.

N. Have been using this place for almost 10 years. Lately the service has been horrible and my last 3 visits have been bad. Making me wait 25 minutes at the pedicure station while they started working on a manicure that walked in behind me. This last visit I picked out an Ombre style and they said, "sure", then once my pedicure was done they said, "we are just going to do the one color, we cant do the Ombre unless you wait 35 minutes". Once again they put someone ahead if me. If they would have told me to begin with I would have picked out something different. I walked out and will not be returning.

Priscilla Feliciano The people are friendly but the quality is poor. I paid 50 for a pedicure. They never smooth out my nails, and they sand my feet so quickly, not paying attention to the calluses. Im never satisfied. Not sure why I go there. They should use the Dremel to sand the calluses off. And they should definitely be vigilant about smoothing the nail before painting.

quey mh I need to get a hold of HR. They were incredibly racist they sat here and lied and told me to my face that they don’t do no type of fake nail designs nor shapes. but yet there were ladies that weren’t my color getting their nails done. The Workers were incredibly rude. They were not polite one bit. I will never go back to that place ever again. They were incredibly Disrespectful !!!!!!!!

Heer Thakkar The lady doing my nails did not use any cuticle oil on my nails, and asked for a tip like she deserved it after getting gel nail polish on my hands and still curing them- she also got mad at me when I tipped 5 dollars on a 30 dollar service instead of 6- AND SHE WAS THE OWNER!!!!! Edit: my nails started chipping 2 days after getting them done 35 dollars wasted at a horrible place that should not be open

They dont have half the colors they advertise, made me wait 2 different times in 1 session for eyebrows then say I have to wait again, they cant follow any designs you want and got mad when I asked for them to clean the table and give me a clean towel will NEVER go back!! Anonymous Maami came to do my birthday nails & couldnt even get what i asked for... All my nails are different shapes n lengths ... ( guy in the wheel chair ) told his ass slow down with the file machine so he wont zap my skin... WHY HE STILL Zapped my skin by going fast and cut me with the blade so mad an annoyed because i told him slow down... didnt like my service n i dont like my nails...

Lauren Moran Was going to this salon for the last three months seeing Lee who always did a fast, good job. Two of my nails broke and when I made my appointment again I guess we both didn’t realize it was July 4th 2 weeks later so I wasn’t able to get in, decided to take off my set as it’s been 3 months and will get new set when I go back. Discovered fungus on one of my fingers, I don’t understand how during a fill this wasn’t noticed as it’s quite dark but to say I’m happy is an understatement.

Allison W Ended up being an ordeal; acrylic nails fell off after less than a week & *again* even after repairs in less than 4 weeks. The tech did a nice design on 2 of them, but not without very frustrating encounters. She would say “yes” to a question and then proceed to do something completely different, and ignore the details of what you were asking for repeatedly. For someone who is not very confrontational like myself, it was very awkward to continually to have to ask her to please do the shape that I wanted or not do something that I had already said I didn’t want. I’ve never written a bad review for a nail salon before, because I don’t think it’s an easy job! But this really was a waste of money, unfortunately. Maybe if you’re doing a simple mani/pedi it would be totally fine! Also, she insisted that they didn’t do gel extensions or tips, so I got a full set of acrylic, which is more $$$. When I had to go back to have them repaired, she didn’t even look at the broken one I tried to show her, and messed up the repair initially by using just tips, which is what I wanted in the first place! A bit of insult to injury on that one, haha.

Tiana Rios I had a great experience here , the employees were friendly, the price is affordable and the salon was very clean . Leon did a great job with my Gel French pedicure and was able to make time for a quick Gel French manicure which came out perfect . I will definitely be coming back ☺️

Brandi Carter I have never had such terrible service in my life! I walk in after a 12hr shift at work for a little pick me up. I walk in and get told to sit in this woman’s chair. I sit down and after 15 minutes of her taking off the gel from my nails she tells me to get up and go to the man in the back. I already had a bad encounter with this man messing up my nails so I wasn’t optimistic. The gel is all over my cuticles and skin. One of my nails has a chunk missing and two of my nails are crooked. I was going to get my eyebrows and feet done like I always do but after the horrible service I left without getting them done. I pay good money no less than $100 plus each visit and I bring my mom and niece with me and pay for them too get the works as well but NEVER again will they get my business.

M S I was going to leave a good review for this place because they only had bad reviews for a while and they did good work from the pictures outside of the customer service. I can see why people do not come here very often. I give two stars. My nail broke within 24 hours of having it done and they close so early that there’s no time to get it fixed. I tried to come in on a Saturday and they told me their appointments were so stacked they could not fix my one nail that broke within 24 hours because the person who originally did it was not there. Basically told me I can wait or deal with it even though I wouldn’t have to pay. What good is that if I gotta walk around with a broken nail right after they got done. I had to get my nail fixed somewhere else as I had events. The work is ok but that’s about it. They may have gotten four if they could’ve fixed my nail.

Rachel Cooke Last Friday I got a gel manicure. By yesterday (Thursday, so just shy of a week) 8 of my nails were chipping so they looked and felt terrible. I called to explain the situation, and asked what it would cost to have them re-done. She told me to come in. At first she didn’t seem to believe me until another woman working on a pedicure came over and confirmed she did my nails not even a week ago. They ask if I want to change colors. I say I can pick something else, if the color is the problem causing the chipping. They tell me that’s not an issue, and they will fix my nails for free. I sit down and this guy just files off the top shiny layer of my gel and puts one new coat on and tells me I’m done. I don’t think he took even 10 minutes. My nails looks goopy and terrible, and the chips aren’t even covered. First two pictures are from when I left the salon yesterday, third picture is not even 24 hours later.

emma kate I have been going here for almost a decade now. They have never been good, but I understood you get what you pay for. Recently it has been getting worse and worse, but I will never return after today. They filed my skin, filed down my nail so far it burned, tried to pop my acrylic set off with a nail tip, ripped off parts of my natural nail, and were rude when I expressed I was in pain. Overall they destroyed my natural nails.

Janet Glaude This was one of the worst mani-pedis i have had in a very long time. I came in on a walk-in and specifically asked if they had time for a mani pedi and they said yes no problem. But They were already backed up come to find out as i had to wait close to an hour for my ancs after my pedicure. Pedicure was fine enough except for the following: The attendant i had, soaked my nails in acetone while the pedi took place...they were never removed until i asked about them. And then the attendant proceeded to give me a nail buffer and told me to buffer out the old ancs myself! I had gel polish done that looked like i done them myself ( please see photos) The massage on my legs was less than 10 minutes and the paraffin wax was lightly done, didnt cover my whole foot and was in plastic bags. By the time he came back with the wax, which was just about dried, he was trying to mold it around my feet with in the bag, again ,it was already pretty much dried...the specific paraffin wax with gel polish pedicure cost: $60!!! After waiting for 43 minutes they finally were able to start my ancs!! The anc french manicure was done so so poorly that my daughter thought i actually got Lee Press On Nails! They didnt even apply the dip to the entire bed of the nail, which makes the fingernail appear to have already grown out of the application! Top this frustration...no manicure. Thats right! They do not give you an actual manicure,. Well they do...but its an ADDITIONAL COST!! Like what?!?! I have literally had my nails done in Naples ,fl california, NH, Maryland and NYC. And i have never had ancs or the like down WITHOUT AN ACTUAL MANICURE!!!.. Question: How can you present a good product on the hand..without preparing the hand? I mean, if you do a pedicure before you apply any specifics...what is the difference? Please see the photos to show what a poor service and product i received from Venus. ancs $40. Pedicure with gel $60. I spent $100 bucks and i shouldnt even had paid $10 dollars. Total time at this money suck....3.5 hours!!! The spa environment was okay visually and they spoke english..only pros.....

She was getting a pedi and anc, the employee literally did her pedi in 10 mins and was done with her nails which I was still getting my pedi. I feel she rushed through the service. I did tip her because she did the service but I wont be back.

Adrianna G I’ve been here a few times before & have always been happy with my experience. Today I saw Alex & I am so pleased with my results as well as how the appointment went. He made sure before he proceeded which each step that I was happy with the results & that’s more than most salons these days will do! Definitely recommend. Patience Curtis This was my second time and most likely my last. My nails were impeccably done both times. The customer service or lack thereof is the reason for my review. I made an appointment at 10am with the same person that did my nails. I was sent to someone else, not a huge deal, Im looking for a new nail tech and only had my nails done once previously. I got ANC with tips, white, gold and neutral. I asked for one ombre and the nail doesnt look ombre, it matches the totally nude one. After putting on my top coat, I overheard my tech tell the person next to her to tell me to wash my hands she was leaving. I thought she was joking and going to the bathroom. After ten minutes, I asked if she was coming back, he said no to wash my hands. Im used to washing my hands, having oil, lotion and cuticle trimmed. I asked if anyone was could do that and someone else did trim my cuticles, I put lotion on myself. When I went to check out I was told it was $60. I asked why when two weeks ago I got the same exact thing and was charged $50. First the owner told me it was because I got 4 ombre nails. I said I did not I got 2 but they do not look ombre. Then he told me it was because I got multiple colors. Again, I got the same thing two weeks ago. I explained that I like the nails even though the ombre isnt ombre but Im more upset that I was just left there and had to ask to have my service finished. I said that I shouldnt have to pay extra for services I did not get and I was just left there for 15 minutes, my tech should have told me they had to leave and someone else should have been assigned to finish. His response was she told me and I forgot, Ill tell her. He said he would charge me $55 instead. I really wish I refused to pay but my anxiety was high enough. I asked if he was the owner and he said yes. This happened the last time I was there to another woman of color and when I asked my cousin about the shop she told me she had tried it but felt racially profiled and ignored. Its sad that you cant find a salon that does good nails AND treats customers as they would want to be treated.
