M Good cut, okay price of$30 for teenage boy. Got the new guy. Took about a hour 45 min to cut. Did a walk in and they took right away. Great attention to detail by everyone there. Had the time to observe a few cuts by the others during this time.

Moore Katelynn (Soul Retreat) I cannot express how amazing Hannah is. I recently moved and I had to get a trim at another salon. The salon owner was in awe of my hair cut (an asymmetrical undercut) and my color (silver). She asked me who did it and asked if I would convince Hannah to come work for her. She did my hair for my wedding and has dealt with all my unique hair styles through the years including giving me mermaid hair and a teal shadow root. She will also give you tips on how to keep your hair the color you want it. Highly recommend.

Gabrielle Shoemaker Andrea Bosko at Cut Loose is the only stylist you need to know in the Capital District- she is amazing! I’ve been seeing her for years and she always does a great job on my haircuts and balayage, I got a ton of compliments on my hand painted highlights.

I have curly hair, and every time my hair is cut I leave almost in tears. I havent been able to find someone that can give me a nice hair cut. Until now. Andrea knew exactly what she was doing and she did a beautiful job with a balayage and hair cut and styling of my hair that I had to leave a glowing review. Absolutely go to this salon. Kimberly 84 Ive never been here before and definitely wont be taking my son here. I just called to make an appointment for my son and the man who answered was extremely rude and mean. When he answered I said "Hello, I was wondering if you had any appointments available for today for a kids cut" and the man who answered was rude and said "ya know what... No, no I dont, its a bad day" and then just hung up on me. He could of said, sorry I dont have anything for today, would you like to make an appointment for a different day instead of being rude and just hanging up. Its fine though, Ill gladly take my business and my money somewhere else.

Walking in the door to make an appointment and being ignored for 20 minutes!! not a hello, not a how can I help you? not you need to schedule an appointment ,not one word spoken to me. It was a Saturday morning I watched three people get their hair done waiting to speak to someone not wanting to be rude I waited . The girl finished her haircut and swept the entire floor not just where she had cut the persons hair and yet I was still ignored. So as a first time customer I will not return. Its a shame too so close to home. Was it my lack of appointment? that got me ignored. Maybe it was my wardrobe choice that day of a black zip-up hoodie and black sweatpants because I was going to be working outside? Because I was looking to schedule an appointment. Definitely not an excuse that they were too busy and didnt notice me. Because somebody else they knew walked in and they jumped to her and went and made her a coffee and made her feel welcome. Needless to say I went to work without a hair cut appointment that day quite bothered by the entire experience. My normal hairdresser move to East greenbush I guess Ill be making the trip there.

My wife sometimes shears my balding head dependant on my busy schedule but it is a treat to go see Ish and get a great haircut in an inviting atmosphere. Justin Gardner I give this review for MEN who are looking to get a good haircut , in and out and pretty low price.I can’t speak for women. I’ve been going to Ish since I was 16! 28 years he’s been my guy. Even my ex gf was a very good hair dresser and she even admitted he did my hair better. Haircut is like 14-15 bucks. He is fast and will go through 4,5 haircuts of all styles in 20-25 minutes but not be rushing anybody out. He takes his time. The BEST part , my man can work with severe “ HAT HEAD”. He’s done it for me over a dozen times easily. He’s also a really nice guy. He may not give the pampered shampoo n wash ,hot towel, warm shaving cream , etc- but he makes up for it in his skill and no real waiting and price.You can however request shampoo n wash and shaving options.

Suhail Merchant Haircuts are a very personal thing, a bad haircut will stay with you till its grown out. Sure you can wear a cap but you know, and thats what matters! Its been a difficult experience for me to find a good place to get a haircut everywhere I go and I move around a lot so thats almost every year till. Since I moved to the US its been especially difficult as the natives here have a different kind of hair and so even the best pros can be thrown off. Ive been to a lot of ethnic hair salons and they take one look at me and tell me they cant promise miracles. They are very friendly though. To make things worse, my hairs thinning so not much to work with. Ishs was down the road from where I stayed in Troy. Nervous as I stepped in he started off by making me really comfortable and gave me the best haircuts Ive got in a while. From Iraq, hes been in Troy and the US for over 25 years, cutting hair in the same location ever since. He is a Mercedes lover and has 4 of them! The mayor and the chief of police and also all the local hospital doctors come to him for haircuts. Hes not formal, walk in and he will have you wait and give you a great cut. No regrets. One of the things I will miss most about Troy.

Monica Arnold I just recently went to this store!!! First let me say that it’s nice. Now when I walked in there were three young boys very polite but knew nothing about the products or hair. I asked for a 27 mix curly wig and he had to call his parents for pricing that took 20 mins and then I was quoted a price if 130 with tax 150and was told the unit was 100% human hair when in fact it was not. This hair was shedding and felt like synthetic hair. I don’t mind supporting black own businesses but be truthful. All wigs are non-refundable it was not a quality wig. I am going to do a consumer report and BBB complaint. 150 is a lot of money to only be able to wear this wig one time!! I want my money back or made good in the mess I was sold!! Be honest your surely just loss a customer. I’m going to add the photo of the unit.

Alleyne Mary (MuvaLou) First time going and it went great! Got everything I needed. The Gentlemen helped me navigate the store and even came from behind the counter, to help with product selection for mens. The store was bright and very clean; not overwhelmed with tons of products. The have brand name and great quality products; from Blue Magic to Design Essentials (WORTH THE MONEY, great at opening your scalps pores.) Ladies They also have a big selection of mink lashes, even the 20+mm. I also love the section with all the natural brands together. I definitely will be a returning customer.

Akishma Henry They are hardly open and they said 10pm is closing time I came to the store at 4:30pm and the lady wiping the door told me they were close after I drives 30 min to get there!

Shreyansh Patel Not good experience and would not go to this location anymore. The hair stylist who was cutting my hair, The way she was holding trimmer and Scissor I am confident enough to say that she was new and I don’t want to take a chance with her and asked her if another hair stylist can cut my hair. Another stylist started cutting my hair but with made face. when my hair cut was about to finish, she started teaching me the manners lesson and said you should not change stylist middle of the hair cut. That’s extremely rude behavior from them by not allowing me to change the stylist. No objection for the first hair stylist though, I’m sure she will get better at hair cut. But extremely bad behavior by another hairstylist because I just asked to change hairstylist.

Nithin Km I am a regular customer of great clips for the last three years. But today I got a very bad experience at great clips location at Van Rensselaer location in Albany 12144. Time I entered is 6.50 Pm Friday 27 Sep. I entered the saloon 10 mts before closing, I know I am late, so I asked them that is it ok to cut my hair at this time and they said its fine. But I can see from the employees face that they are not happy. And when one employee started cutting my hair, he/she is doing it very roughly , banging my hair very hard. So I stopped and asked to do slowly, and they answered You know what is the time now, very aggressively ?. So I said, that is why I asked, is it ok to cut now when I entered, you should have said this upfront, if not able to do it today instead of banging my hair and messing it up. He/she was very angry and cut my hair at the worst, I somehow managed to get out of the saloon. My hair cut is a mess now and tomorrow I need to go to any other place to cut it properly. I am very upset about this experience. I never had this kind of experience in life. We are paying for the haircut and it seems from his/her face that he/she is doing it free of cost. Please take necessary action against such kind of employees otherwise Great clips will loose the reputation. Anyways I decided not to come back here anymore iny life.

But today, my stylist TINA said “you gave us bad review and said will never come back, SMILING”. I said I didn’t but she insisted. I said ok so giving my review now to make her statement right. Not going back for sure and not recommending anyone unless I see their old manager Mckenzie back. “THEY CANNOT BLEND THE HAIR”

Elizabeth Laurange Last time I was in with my son, I had an excellent experience with his hair cut. He’s only two and she was wonderful with him and took her time with his haircut. However today, I was extremely disappointed. I had a woman named Sue who stunk like cigarettes, and she missed a TON of hair. It’s so uneven, choppy and scraggly. It’s really unfortunate I won’t be back, because I can’t even remember the women’s name who did my sons hair and she’s the only reason I’d come back.
