He knows all the classic mens styles and always makes sure you get the kind of cut you want. This is the spot for haircuts in Binghamton. He only asks $14 per cut as well. Great for college students like me.

Aletha Ash I had a very strange experience with this barber. My nephew was really excited about bringing me to his shop because he said he was told by the barber to come to his shop anytime to get a cut. Ayken is Afro American and had kinks in his hair yesterday. It became obvious that this barber does not have tools that favor curly hair. So he turned to Ayken and asked him how old he was and told him that he was old enough to comb his hair out before coming back. Ayken combed his hair last night and this morning and woke me up excitedly to go back to this barber but I had a feeling he didn’t want to actually help us. We return the next day, and the way the barber said “you’re back” made me feel like he wasn’t going to help. Then he proceeds to ask about aykens hair and say no combing it out is not good enough, that his hair should have been picked and washed by an adult before coming back to his hair. Such instruction was not given the day prior but suddenly that was his new requirement before he would even touch aykens hair. And as we left he proceeded to gossip with his white customers about how he can’t believe we had the nerve to even try. I will not be returning to this place of business. He was not even willing to try or work out any other solutions so the goal could be accomplished. He just wanted us out of his establishment and he got it.

Katherine Hawes Vanessa is awesome! She makes sure to give you what you asked for but also offers her professional knowledge. She doesn’t typically see several clients at once so you don’t feel forgotten about in the chair. You can tell she sees what she does as artistry, not just a job and uses techniques that produce beautiful color and cuts. Plus she’s funny and you always get a good story in the chair!

Gina Bryant Vanessa is the most incredible hairdresser in the greater Binghamton area. I starting going to her around 2021 for just haircuts and I always walk out of the chair feeling amazing with the most perfect haircut! I got engaged june 2023 and Of course I had to have her get me bridal ready! Vanessa put in my highlights for my bachelorette and then a week prior to wedding. I had my K-tips as my extensions and had them installed for my hair and make-up trial, removed for a few weeks and a new install right before the wedding. I highly recommend getting your k-tips done by Vanessa! Her install was not only flawless but prior to the install, we planned how much hair we would need for this trial run and my actual wedding and ordered it all at once. I felt so relaxed that we had a plan. The color match was perfect! The install was long but install is always long no matter what, but worth it. The most comfortable extensions you can wear! If you are a bride to be or individual who is in need of a stylist, go get your k-tips, color, cut and more done by Vanessa! You won’t regret it!

Kirstine Purcell I’ve been getting k-tip extensions from Vanessa for 3 years, cut and color for almost 5. She is AMAZING! My extensions are always beautifully done and I always get a lot of compliments. My natural hair has never been thicker, longer, or healthier. If you’re looking for extensions or coloring I would strongly recommend her!

Stacey Taylor I recently visited this salon and had Jenna as my stylist. Let me just say how awesome she is! I reached out to her because I had hand tied extensions and my hair colored by someone else previously and they were not installed correctly or the color I wanted. I texted with Jenna explaining my situation and she instantly made me feel at ease and told me she would fix me right up. At my appointment she took the time to discuss my options and listen to my needs. She reinstalled my hand tied extensions perfectly and gave me the best color she could, despite the color extensions I already have. I can’t wait to go back and have her install new hair and get me the exact color I’ve been wanting. I drove 2 hours to see her and will be driving that distance for all my appointments in the future. Next time I’ll have longer and blonder hair...I cant wait! She’s the best...hands down!

C Dub, Jr Went in for a beard and mustache trim and he gapped up my mustache. Now my mustache and beard dont connect. He was lining up my beard on my cheek when I heard and felt the trimmers gap my mustache. Hair flew in my eyes and everything because the hair on my mustache was so long. He tried to even it out but left a bunch of stubble on the sides of my mouth. Had to go home and fix the rest and clean it up. The only positive thing is that at least he didnt demand payment so he gets one star added back for that and he was upset that he messed up my face. His hands are shaky and he wasnt paying attention to the end of the trimmers so Im sure thats why it happened. He did knock it down on the sides and everywhere else, which is what I wanted since it was getting long and I dont want a mountain man beard, I like a trimmed up beard. However, I wanted to keep my beard and mustache intact. Not going back here again, though.

Maryam Noori I went to see Leesa for a balayage, and she did a terrible job on my hair. She left the bleach in for over 3 hours, causing my hair to burn and fall out. I went back in and they said my hair is just a little dry, but as you can see in the pictures, it’s fried! I wish she would have just said she couldn’t do it instead of putting me through this mess! I wouldn’t recommend Salon to anybody!

Once again, she was long overdue to have her hair cut and returned to Lizzy at her new location. Lizzy Paige is a licensed and talented professional who is truly passionate about her profession which shows in her meticulous skills. She is very friendly and warmly greets you at your appointment. Lizzy has her own private studio that she designed herself which is stylish, inviting, and calming. She takes pride in her studio and she keeps it neat and clean. My wifes hair was washed, cut into a graduated bob and styled to perfection. My wife looks fabulous, feels better and is extremely happy. She will most definitely be returning to Lizzy Paige sooner than later.

Kristy Brandt So the night before my wedding my hair stylist and make-up artist cancelled on me. My family called So Jealous Hair Studios and Grace picked up and thank god she did. She squeezed me in the next day to do my wedding hair and make up. Let me tell you Grace did an amazing job. She made me feel so comfortable even though I was so stressed. My hair and make up looked absolutely perfect for my wedding and stayed the entire day and night. From 12pm- 12am. She is a life saver and does an absolutely amazing job! Thank you so much Grace!!

He looks sharp and he sat super still for Jose and enjoyed his first professional haircut! I would definitely recommend this place. I booked the appointment online which was super easy and they got us right in at our appointment time we didnt even sit down to wait. Tytiana Browne They have a hair braider now and she does amazing work! She just started there so she was still getting her set up together when I went. Very accommodating and checked in with me often. I got Fulani braids and her cornrows are tight foing in but they dont hurt or pull on your hair once shes done. Like Im tenderheaded af and aside from when she was putting them in they didnt hurt at all. Fully recommend her services (blurred background for privacy)

Talitha Angevine Hands down one of the best places. I have been to as a single mother felt welcomed and my son was happy and comfortable. Jose has a light hand and my son was super content. My son has sensory issues and can be a bit jittery. The staff was amazing and social.

Jacob Jackowski Used to pay 40 dollars for a 20 dollar haircut at the old place I went to. Trevor is hands down best barber Ive found in Binghamton. Prices are much more fair than other shops. Hot towel was included rather than being a paid extra. Straight razor to clean the back of the neck. Trevor definitely goes the extra mile and takes pride in his work. Highly recommend

Krieger "We love walk-ins!" No, they do not. Made an appointment for several days later. Arrived a few minutes early to find a locked door and switched off "open" sign. Waited. Nobody showed up. Went home. Not even a phone call to reschedule or explain. Maybe they had an emergency. Otherwise, they do not respect appointments or your time and gas money. This paired with sky-high pricing should tell anyone what they need to know. Waste of time and gas.

brandon collings Great shop, great people. Went to Eva when I moved to the area ~6-7 years ago, haven’t stopped since. Long hair, fades, mullet, she’s done it all and I’ve left with a smile on my face after every visit. Worth every penny for the honed skills, atmosphere and down to earth barber.

Molicia Fraser I would not recommend this place to anyone with ethnic hair texture. The barber’s focus was solely directed to a situation going on in the shop rather than making sure she was cutting my hair correctly. I ended up with large bald streaks in my head that I didn’t ask for to the point where I had to cut all my hair off and start it over again. Rather than telling me she didn’t know how to do the cut and design I wanted. She came off as confident and it resulted in my hair being completely messed up. Once again I would not recommend this place to my people with kinky curly coarse hair.

Kirsten Hollister I cannot rave about this location enough! If you want the highest quality cut around, this is your place. I personally go for my undercut and have been thrilled every time by the work Yoryi and Eva do! I won’t go anywhere else! The location itself is easy to get to and despite being downtown, parking is usually pretty easy. The shop is very clean and bright inside, and I love how there is always upbeat music playing. It’s a great place to be and I always look forward to my appointments.

Jewel Soto I’ve been sitting on writing this review for 2 months. Back in April, I scheduled a hair appointment for the day of my bridal shower. The girl was nice and offered me a 9am early appointment. Great. The day of, I’m sitting outside the salon SERIAL CALLING because it was now 910a and no one was there. I drove 40 minutes from my house. My shower was at 1. I panicked and started driving home. About 10 minutes into my drive, the girl calls and says she wrote down 915a. I am a very punctual person and she acknowledged that wasn’t the time she told me. I drive back and arrive there around 945a. I show the girl a fairly simple half up half down with curls. The girl is putting curls in my hair. Not using much product hold them but I was trusting the process. When it comes time to put the pony up, she starts freestyling. I had to tell her that i want what’s in the picture and nothing more. She could not do it. I had to tell her to stop and I settled and left. When I got home, I had to completely take the pony down. The front looked an absolute mess. The pony was way too high. I wasted hours of my time and $60. I don’t know if it was lack of experience or not caring but I could have done better, saved time, and anxiety if I just did it myself at home. Not sure why the pictures online are great but the service I received resulted in nothing but disappointment and frustration. The 2 stars is for scheduling an early Saturday appointment but that’s it.

Everyone is super friendly and listens to what I want to get done and follows directions. As a BU student, also very accessible by bus (by taking the 5).

She was upfront and honest that she was not going to guarantee that we were going to get those results in one sitting. But I said go for it anyways! She did a fantastic job! Absolutely amazing results. The best my hair has looked in probably forever!!! I was completely blown away at how good of a job she did, AND she managed to match the color that I asked for!! Wanda Levette I recently visited The Beauty Mark expecting a positive experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. From start to finish, I encountered several issues that made my visit disappointing. To begin with, the salon appeared a bit untidy and wasn’t as clean as I would expect from a professional hair salon. The staff/owner i think seemed disorganized, and I had to wait past my scheduled appointment time without much communication about the delay. As for the actual service, the stylist didn’t seem to fully listen to what I was looking for in my haircut. The final result wasn’t what I had envisioned or described. While I appreciate that not every style turns out perfectly, I felt that more attention to detail could have made a big difference. Overall, I think The Beauty Mark has potential, but they need to improve cleanliness, time management, and customer service. I hope they take these areas into consideration for future clients. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend them based on my experience. (p.s the dogs run rampant during the entire process so if you’re allergic RUN!)

I drove over an hour to get there because i had no option and needed hair real quick but i would never recommend anyone to go here. The only person who was helpful was a young cashier.you are better off ordering your stuff online because you have to pay triple the price at this place with horrible customer service.

The head lady can’t do hair but wanna charge $200 for some twist. I had to take the hair out that same day because I was scared. My hair was gonna fall out. It was so tight. And today I call ahead of time to see if they have something bc I’m disabled at the moment and I was snapped back with well I gave you the price range ‘ $19-$300, it depends on if you want long, curly, human…’ I said yes I led off asking if you had human long curly weft or clip in and bc I’m on crutches I wanted to see if you could help me, ‘yea, I just gave you the prices’….i was very upset and hung up. Wasn’t trying to inconvenience anyone, just looking for some help so I was prepared when I came in.
