I just had my hair dyed for the first time there this week, and I can honestly say it’s the best dye job I’ve ever had. Beyond Lizzie specifically, everyone at the salon is friendly and professional. I’ve never had a negative experience with any staff there; the customer service is genuinely lovely from every person in the shop. If you have ever tried to cut your own hair, you know its very time-consuming, especially if youre trying to get a good fade. Barbetorium was highly recommended to me by one of my sisters professors. I showed Anthony a picture of the haircut I wanted, and thats exactly what I got. I like to switch my cuts up, and Anthony does a great job every time. Ive been going to Barbetorium for about two and a half years now. Jes, Nico, and Anthony are all great guys. Korri Matela When I first went and Cate was doing my hair the experience was great. When I got moved to Charlie my experience was sub par. My hair ended up how I wanted it once, and he cancelled more than I saw him and trying to get in once he cancelled day of twice I couldn’t get in for a month. My last visit he was too busy coloring his own hair, and only colored my roots and slapped on color conditioner which didn’t even take to my ends and washed out the first wash. The slain policy for cancellations is 48 hours our you get charged for the full service. Yet he has cancelled on me three times twice was an hour before my appointment. Knowing he was “sick” before that. Maybe other stylists would be great there but I will not return there as a client.

M Tufano Wonderful, inclusive environment. My manicures done by Bethany are beautiful. They also have pretty antiques for sale in the front of the store I always enjoy looking at before my appointments!

Jill Calvert Brought my best friend for manicures and pedicures on her birthday and was treated like royalty! Got my first set of gel nails from Halley after decades of having acrylics. Theyre gorgeous! And Im happy they wont damage my nail beds. My favorite part was not having to wait for them to dry! Yari did our pedicures and treated my feet so gently. From the sugar scrub in the beginning to the leg and foot massage at the end, I felt incredibly pampered.

Mickey Jordan The salon is beautiful, owner Kristina is so sweet. Chris greeted us at the front desk and immediately took our coats and offered drinks. The pup Rocky is so adorable, he came up to say hi. My son wanted a very specific haircut inspired by Tim Henson, it’s a very detailed and a bit unusual style. Ella was our stylist, she has great customer service, she took her time listening to a request and looking through inspiration photos. Ella worked on getting every detail right, she used scissors and razor to get the cool choppy look and styled it in two different ways to show how it can be worn (for additional cost as my son needed extra help on styling tips). My son said the shampoo and head massage was amazing. He has got so many compliments on his new haircut. We’ve already been back a few times, customers for life.

Kimberly Haller Hands down the best salon! Everyone is so welcoming, and its the appointment I genuinely look forward to each month. Ella has been doing my hair for a while and put in a gorgeous balayage in this year, and always takes the time to talk through hair maintenance strategies.

Holly I’ve always come back to this salon after trying others that are closer to my house because they always just get it right! Ella has been my stylist for over a year now and she is amazing! I wasnt sure what the best cut would be for my hair and after she took a look we went with a curly girl transformation. Amy Jo Cody I was at Fringe and Roots for hair color with Marissa during their first week of operation. The salon was very clean and all the stylist and clients were wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. These girls are following all the CDC guidelines and I felt extremely comfortable in the salon. My hair turned out AMAZING and I receive compliments everywhere I go! Amanda Billotti I had such an amazing experience at Fringe + Roots! The owners make you feel so welcome-- from the time I walked in until the time I left I felt comfortable and relaxed. The establishment is hands down so unique and refreshing its a must try beauty house! My six year old daughter loves to get pampered and have mommy and daughter dates, both owners were wonderful with her. Spoke to her the whole time about her hobbies and school while getting her nails and hair done (I love that they made her feel so important and confident). As a mom its important that I feel safe and my child, it was comforting seeing everyone wearing masks + washing everything down! Highly recommend!

Huntz Shaikz I called to make an appt due to the website not working so well for me, but was not a problem. Booked an appt with Chloe who I found on Instagram for her beautiful nail art. It was $85 for acrylic with the tip and shape on bare naked nails. The color is nice as it is, so I did not need polish on top, just one coat of clear gel. She was very nice, checked in on me throughout the process, and did not hurt my cuticles which is important!

Melissa Stio My massage visit to the Park Ave Salone & Day Spa was a great one! I arrived a few minutes early and was promptly greeted by the lovely women at the front desk. I made my way upstairs and filled out my new client intake form. Right at 3 I was greeted by my Massage Therapist and we had a quick chat about the process and points to focus on during my 60 minute session. We chatted a bit throughout the session but it was very peaceful and I have already scheduled another session to keep up the relaxation I have felt since Friday.

Jessica Privitera I’ve been going to Park Ave Salon for over 2 years now to get my hair highlighted by Emily. She is by far the best when it comes to blonding in Rochester. I always walk out of the salon feeling confident, and beautiful.

Kalhari Jayasinghe I go there for massage. I really like this place. Very calm environment. I did a facial from this place as well. But that was ok. Little bit expensive. But the money you pay for massage is worth. This is my go to place in Rochester. You can do street parking. If not there is a parking lot back of the place. Update: This place is best for the massages. Do not try their hair cuts. I had a very bad experience. I went there before my vacation to do a hair cut. I asked to cut my hair . ( even I understood my hair is damaged and I need a hair cut. I didn’t have a hair cut for almost 8 months) The lady washed and did a blow dry and said I have a good hair and she just trimmed. For that they charged $58. Didn’t meet my expectations at all. Came home had a shower then back to damaged hair. Very disappointed. But again try their massage with Stevan. He is the best. Me and my husband both like his massages.

Ron&Carole Cunningham We arrived 5 minutes early for our appointment and the hair stylist cancelled our appointment while we were waiting in the parking space. We were on time and the last appointment also. She came out and very rudely cancelled our appointment while we were waiting in the vehicle, and said she was done with us. She refused to do our hair. This was very unprofessional and there was no compensation for our time and the 56 round trip miles. We have to find another hair salon.

Every time she’s done my hair, she pays such attention to detail and puts so much care into what she does. She not only takes my requests and executes them flawlessly but improves on anything I could’ve expected. The amount of hard work and the level of service at W Salon, plus the friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, make it such a phenomenal place to come to, not to mention their more than reasonable prices. If you’re looking to get a hair cut, color, or style, cannot recommend highly enough.

Valerie I was in desperate need for color correction, and Ava at W Salon did a phenomenal job coming to my rescue. She gave me jaw-droppingly gorgeous blonde highlights that are so perfect in their color and tone that I cant take my eyes off of them! Ava is very talented, professional and friendly. She also styled my hair super smooth and gave me beautiful beach waves. I walked into the salon wanting to wear a hat, but left the salon feeling like a million dollars. Thank you, Ava! And, a big thank you to Lexi, Salon Coordinator extraordinaire, for connecting me with Ava and fitting me in to see her on such short notice. Such a great salon experience. I look forward to coming back to see Ava again soon!

Sharon Kingdon I’ve been coming to W Salon for about 6 years. I love my hairdresser, Melinda. She always listens to what I want and works with how I style my hair. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. I bring my daughter to her as well because she has super curly hair and cuts it well! I highly recommend this salon.

Ekaterina Rashid Been going to W salon for few years, they are pricey but I didnt mind as I enjoyed how my hair were cut/colored. Last time had appointment with Jeanette, not sure what happened. At the end of the cut was left sitting in chair all covered in hair, was not even offered to brush off. Waited in chair for several min, hoping my stylist came back but to no awail.. Ended up brushing off myself, honestly not something you expect after dropping $$$ for simple cut. To add to the misery, came back to find my hair being shaved with blade to create layers, something that was discussed with Jeanette several times before as not being good for my hair as it leaves them super frizzy. Very disappointing. Not sure if my stylist had a bad day as she is usually very good. However not taking chances anymore and taking my business elsewhere. For they amount they charge I would expect better service and greater attention to details. Overall, I do not recommend.

Heather Balonek I am very indecisive when it comes to my hair and color. Crystal took her time going through the book and comparing colors to my skin tone to make sure we achieved what I was looking for. We spent almost an hour looking and there was no rushing or pressure for me to decide! Pricing can be hard these days with hair services and she made sure the service was affordable and reasonable with amazing results. Her attention to detail on short hair cuts is also something that is very hard to find. She takes her time and knows the perfect cut that will look best with your face. 5 star service will look forward to coming back again.

I have now been seeing Brittany for over 5 years. I have never once left without liking my hair. She has done an incredible job making my brown hair always look rich and like it has beautiful dimension. She also knows exactly how to cut my hair to make my curl pattern perfect. Marilu Aguilar I really like this place for hair coloring, washing, styling and cutting. Michelle Doyle has been my hair stylist for years. This place is clean and personnel are very friendly and welcoming. The place is a nice size offering two floors of services and is handicap accessible. Plenty of parking, but the highlight for me is my hairstylist, Michelle...friendly, personable, compassionate, professional and tries hard to accommodate my last minute appointment requests. Shes a gem.

Marie Brennan I brought my daughter here ( first salon haircut) for a special birthday treat ( she is 6 and wants to own her own salon in the future). I had never been here before but saw they did kids haircuts so we gave it a go and hoped for the best, the receptionist was very sweet on the phone. My daughters hairdresser, Michelle, was just excellent, an artist at what she does, she really took the time to discuss with us what the best cut would be for my daughters hair, and took every step to make sure it was just right. Unsurprisingly my daughters hair looks amazing. All the staff were very attentive, making us feel welcome and the other patrons were kind as well. The price for my daughters wash, cut and style was very reasonable. They even have a coffee, and cookie station and the sweetest lap dog who will greet you at the door and cuddle while you wait. We definitely hope to visit here again soon!

She not only charges much less for her cuts but I also get a better cut than the Master stylists in Atlanta. NiCool Great Customer Care and Hair! Christina has cut my boys hair 3 times now and I am beyond impressed with her abilities. (My one son has a difficult cowlick) Also takes her time, both kids take the full 30 min. Prices are great, affordable!

It shows in every detail, from the time I just stopped by to find out about their services, made my appointment, discussed hair care, laughed and chatted in the chair while my hair was braided, and the grand finale, a gorgeous new hair style beyond my expectations! I highly recommend Wosa’s! I had natural hair with some grey, and I wanted to try long braids, something new for me. Wosa mixed grey with black hair extensions, small to medium size box braids, the length of my back.The braid technique looks natural and soft, like braided hair should be, and the grey makes it “pop!” - like highlights! Wosa and her assistant Dezi were wonderful to work with, and so professional; very important to sustain a business. Wosa’s knows how to make each Clint feel special, even if a person just stopped in to ask a question or say hello, they keep working on the client in the chair and give appropriate attention to the others. Shannon Davidson I heard great things about Wosa. Then when I called for info, I realized I had totally been misinformed. They did NOT offer they services I was told they were so amazing at. I was incredibly disappointed... Not to mention the prison that responded to me was very short and quite unaccomodating. That being said...I will NEVER recommend this salon to anyone which is sad cuz I have so many times when people have asked about dreads... Im embarrassed now cuz Ive recommended such a shady business...I apologize to those I referred... XOXO
