Hannah Levesque Tess is unbelievably amazing! Not only is she incredibly talented but she is the sweetest most kind hearted person! Shes so friendly and welcoming and makes sure that you approve of every step she does and she continuously keeps you in the loop of what she is doing. Hands down the best hair stylist I have ever been too! Highly, Highly recommend!

Rachel Frateschi I cannot say enough good things about this salon. All of the stylists are extremely talented, knowledgeable and welcoming. The salon manager is very helpful and always goes out of her way to schedule appointments to work with your schedule. The salon is clean and beautiful.

leah pawlewicz I decided to make an appointment at J.Lorriane because I needed a change in cut and style of my lifeless, straight hair. My first impression of the salon was that it was gorgeous, clean and high quality place. I felt like I was in an upscale nyc salon. I was immediately welcomed by Lindsay at the front desk. She was lovely and made me feel comfortable. I was offered a drink and cocktail as I was getting my hair washed. Tess was absolutely fabulous. She was so kind and sweet. She gave me direction on how she thought I should cut and style my hair. I got my hair trimmed, thinned and layered. Tess made sure to I was happy with how my hair turned out. She gave me a million tips on how to better treat my hair. She offered products that she recommended. The end price was very reasonable; I honestly would’ve paid double for the experience I had. I left feeling like a new and confident person. I would recommend this place to anyone. I appreciate J.Lorraine salon for making my hair manageable and easier to style.

Abigayle Ziegler I am absolutely obsessed with my extensions I got done here! The first install was amazing, everyone and I mean EVERYONE is super sweet and so friendly. When you come in you’ll feel like you’ve known them your whole life. If extensions aren’t your thing (which they should be) the blow outs and coloring is absolutely amazing. You’ll leave feeling your best self inside and out and definitely looking your best. Lindsay is always super welcoming and bringing joy to everyone she interacts with while my girl Tess behind the chair is so great that I give her free range of my hair and say do what you think will be best and without a doubt, it always comes out way better than I could ever imagined. I cannot recommend this salon enough, I even drive a little over an hour to get come here cause they are THAT GOOD. Do yourself a favour and book yourself an appt.

Chino Cheng Recently went to a really very satisfied! From entering the store to leaving every link let me feel their professionalism and dedication. The staff was very warm and attentive in their reception. They also took the initiative to ask me about my needs and provided many useful suggestions. The environment in the store is clean and tidy, and the tools are very hygienic, giving people a very comfortable and reassuring feeling. The hairdresser is very professional and does exactly what I want and makes personalized suggestions based on my face shape and hair. The cut out is amazing. I love how she had multiple hair products, to suit the different hair needs and that she took the time to show me something about my hair. Furthermore, as a student, the price is reasonable, for an outstanding look/service, without having to break the bank. Update: A small increase in price, but still manageable.

Molly Finnigan I visited Hair Habitat for the first time today. It was pretty damn fab. Kaitlyn was my stylist and she was fantastic. She listened to my wants, made helpful suggestions and made a great cut. The salon itself is very well decorated and stylized. Its clean and has a good feel. Plus I greatly appreciate their dedicated efforts to being a green, organic business. I will absolutely be returning​!

Erica Liberatore My experience was amazing!! I didnt get a haircut, but a facial by Lynn. She took her time to make sure I was comfortable, provided a refreshing beverage, and was extremely knowledgable about the products. I felt RELAXED from start to end. Besides the facial. The salon has a very industrial/rustic feeling to it. Which I love. I would def recommend any of the services here.

John Ball I had a haircut and shave by Louie. He did a nice job with my hair and it was refreshing that he didnt try to rush the cut and made sure I was happy with the result. I also had a shave which I really enjoyed. If you havent done this before it is definitely a treat. Overall excellent experience and I like the all natural products. Another appointment all set up.

Corine Lamb I got my haircut at Hair Habitat by Kaitlyn! I had been a few months ago and I was very excited to go back. Both times I have walked in, I have been greeted very nicely by the employees. I immediately felt at peace and was relaxed for my haircut! Kaitlyn made me feel very comfortable as she sat me in front of the mirror and asked me what I wanted done! Michelle Hewitt I took my 11 year old daughter in yesterday for her first salon "experience". And let me tell you, it was amazing. Hannah was her stylist, and she made the entire experience absolutely wonderful. She nailed the cut, color and style of the picture that my daughter wanted. They bonded so easily, and the conversations were so fun and effortless. Hannah is a true professional. So much so, I booked again for my daughter in 6 weeks, and for myself in 2. The salon itself is clean, spacious and inviting. Youre missing out if you dont come in for the Hannah experience! Id give 10 stars if I could

Deyanire Chacon Castillo I was there today for a color service, they gave me a dark color that I didnt ask for, I gave them a sample of what I was looking for, they dried my hair terribly, the person who did it had no idea what they did, they charged me an unreasonable price, unfortunately To tell you that I did not feel satisfied, I think that if you do not know or are not sure, ask the person first that you are working for a whole morning wasted and also I felt robbed, they gave me another price and even then they ask me if I will leave tips, I paid for education, he left there crying, he didnt even make an effort to say that he could change it if he wasnt happy, but zero delicacy, as if they were giving you the money to throw it away that way, I dont recommend that person, she never lacks practice and hes not even stylist. I dont post photos because I dont see that option. I want you to judge by what you see and dont think that Im exaggerating.

Amanda Blake Great first time experience! I was looking for a last minute cut and of the 8 places I tried, they were able to accommodate me! Not only that, but Brittany listened to me and gave me the EXACT cut I wanted. I paid $45 but would and have paid double for the same services :) I absolutely recommend this place for all of the locals in Syracuse!

Ellie Lawler I had Faith cut my hair there yesterday, and she did the best job! I think she is new to the store but was extremely thorough about asking exactly what I wanted and checking in to make sure I liked what she was doing. Overall a great experience, and I’m super happy with how my hair turned out, will be going back!

They were incredibly professional, accommodating, and listened to each member of the bridal party for how they wanted to look. Everyone looked amazing and the guests could not stop complimenting the hair and makeup. Working with the bridal coordinator made the booking process easy and efficient. Would always recommend for anyones special day!

Carrie Stevens Element on Water handled the hair and make-up services for my wedding party in September, and they did a wonderful job! As a curly-haired girl, I appreciated working with Ann Marie--a curly-hair specialist. She was able to transform my vision perfectly. Hannah and Mary did make-up for our group, and they both did a wonderful job. Everyone looked beautiful!

Kelsy Ramirez I went to Syracuse to visit some family and decided to get a trim so i came to this salon and it was the best experience ever!! My stylist Kimberli, recommended I did face framing layers and to thin my hair out and I would say that was the best recommendation ever!! Perfect for the summer since I live in FL. R S Can’t say enough about Jillian at 315 Beauty Bar Downtown! I have very curly thick hair and she gave me the most stunning blowout. She listened to my concerns regarding hair texture and left me with a stylish look that perfectly compliments the shape of my face. Hannah Penoyer Kaylee is the best lash artist around! She is very nice and welcoming. I have been going to Kaylee for my volume lashes for months! She takes her time and does very amazing work. She cares about the health of your natural lashes and is overall fantastic. I constantly receive compliments about my lashes and that is all Kaylee’s hard work! I am always happy with my lashes and she is always very flexible if I need anything. Very satisfied and I would recommend getting your lashes done by her!

Nicole Dooley I go in often for my blonde touch ups and Jillian always does an amazing job of coloring, toning, and blowing my hair out beautifully every time! I often dont know exactly what I want when I go in but she always picks something that always looks good on me! Very good service and love the salon and the environment they offer!!

Anela Meheljic Every time I sit in Danielle’s chair I sincerely have so much fun. Danielle knows exactly what I’m looking to do with my hair to give me the absolute best results and everytime I leave I have so much confidence. I have never been complicated on my hair before I started seeing Danielle, now even when I don’t style it I still get compliments! I have never had a hairstylist that could do that. I moved states but visit Syracuse often and when I do I make sure to get some self care done in Danielle’s chair, will forever be the only person that I can wholeheartedly trust to do my hair!

Kara Willis The salon was very nice and clean. The stylists all seemed relaxed and friendly. I liked how it was peaceful and not loud and chaotic. I would definitely recommend this salon. I met Bryan today and he was my stylist. He is fabulous. I showed him pictures of my hair from past couple of years. I had not had my haircut since moving to NY three months ago. Finding a new stylist is scary. I read the reviews and they all said he was the one to cut short,fine, thin hair. He did a fantastic job. I am very happy with the cut and Bryan was a joy to get to know. I have already made my future appointment.

Kimberly Briggs The first time I visited the salon my finished color was too drab and my stylist did not have the product in stock she needed to fix it. I told her I could take care of it at home. I was not given any type of discount due to that mistake. I believe the service was over $220 and I tipped her 20%. The second time I visited the salon my stylist told me she never wrote down the formula because she didnt think I liked it. Actually, it was very pretty except for the fact that the toner was too drab for the highlight which should have been an easy fix but because she did not write it down and couldnt remember what she used we had to start all over again. That final result had a little too much yellow in it so I had to do a toner at home that I purchased. Still, I made another appointment as I know it takes a few times for a stylist to get it right. The haircut was not good. Again I tipped her 20%. I am a former hairdresser and understand the business. The salon receptionist called me and asked me to change my 3rd appointment because my stylist had something going on. I accommodated them without a problem. I had to cancel my appointment because I had surgery and was not recovered. I had originally emailed them w/in 48 hours and the email was bounced back to me so I called them first thing in the morning to see if she had a cancellation list she could fill. I did not hear back from them so I reached out again and they let me know they did receive my voicemail but would be charging me for half the service. I explained to her that I did send an email within the time limit, made a phone call, had surgery, and had issues in the past with my color and appoimtment needing to be rescheduled. I tipped her 20% every time I was there even with the issues I had with my color. The manager Micaela was unwilling to make an exception or hear or care anything I had to say. Her answer was " you emailed the wrong address and that she was just following policy." I used the email address on their scheduling website. Be aware if you need to cancel an appointment even w/a legitimate reason they are not willing to work w/ you. That is bad business, horrible customer service and shows that they care more about money than their clients. Not only am I a former hairdresser but my parents had a salon for over 40 years and never ever treated a client like that or had a policy in place charging a client for a service that was not completed. That is bad business and apparently they dont need the business as they were willing to lose a client and possibly more over a legitimate need to cancel an appointment. Given the issues I had w/ my first 2 appointments and the fact that they had to reschedule my original appointment, it seems reasonable that they could have worked with me. Im not sure they understand or care how much one bad review can affect their business. I requested a call back from the owner and received one that evening. He left me a message and stated his manager told him what happened and if I wanted to discuss it further to call him back. That did not sound very promising to me. No apology, no we are willing to work this out...my surgery was oral and talking was not easy. I already spent 15 minutes talking with a manager unwilling to make any exceptions! I hope it was worth it.

Glennette Just Pure Black Excellence at its Finest!! Ms. Jayvana and her staff are very professional and care about their clients! My husband drives me from Corning NY to Syracuse NY almost 2 hours away from me. But its Totally Worth it!!!

Well sowhatwhocares Visiting from Florida… need my hair flat iron asked if they take walk in answer no. How about asking me when do I need it done maybe u had something before I left. I find that when ppl are making lots of money they tend to get very strict…. The first time I called she hung up on me. I had to call back twice. Thank God I can do my own hair let me go buy this flat iron cus babe. 1 things for certain 2 things for sure I’ll never beg to give away money for a wanted thing.nothing personal against this shop I’m sure they do great hair but I’ll never no.

Sarah Miller Pure Salon is AMAZING. I cannot say enough good things about this salon. My hair was an absolute mess from getting hair extensions that were put in incorrectly. Unfortunately, my hair ripped out and I acquired sores from only two weeks of having these extensions in my head. Jayme Sager, the owner of Pure Hair Salon, is the most professional, caring, and amazing person. She took me as a client to help me and she did. During the whole process of fixing my hair she was so friendly and positive, I knew I was in good hands. I can’t express how grateful I am that I met Jayme. Brittany Sidnam This is a great place to get your hair done! Its bright and spacious. It has really great vibes, cute stuff and products in the lobby and they always offer coffee, water, wine, even had margaritas for Cinco de Mayo! I see Melanie and she is such a good listener about what I want, and you can tell she cares about her work! Would def recommend her to anyone!

Olga Harrison Let me start with saying that Zach as your stylist will never disappoint! i literally had blues, pinks, oranges sporadically mixed in my hair and came in with going back to natural. blew me away with the fact he got every bit of color out to get me to such a dreamy color. The salon itself is such a bright and comfortable vibe, with options for retail ready for viewing and a whole coffee station for your appointment. Even bought a cute hair clip :) Can’t recommend enough!

Jess I scheduled a massage with Heather expecting a relaxing experience, unfortunately it was quite the opposite. Heathers demeanor was extremely rude and unprofessional, creating a very stressful environment rather than a soothing one. She frequently made passive-aggressive remarks, which made me feel unwelcome and rushed. Additionally, she seemed uninterested in listening to my preferences. Overall, the entire energy was very stressful. I am very disappointed with the service and it was not worth the money. I would give zero starts if I could.

Cassie Wintermute Anna is amazing!! She has done hair for all of the women in my family and it’s always perfect! Shes done countless cuts and colors for us, even doing my hair for my wedding!! The salon itself is beautiful and clean and a great place to be.

The lady who did my hair (no longer there) lets just say it was not good and I had to have it redone as soon as a salon opened in June 2020. But because I found this place such a nice calm, clean, Pleasant and professional and the owner was very sweet I said okay Ill give it another try and I got very lucky I got this lady her name is Anna I was definitely nervous walking in there but right away she made me feel very comfortable so I let my guard down a little and proceeded to get my hair done and Im very happy that I did so Anna did an amazing job with my hair.. my hair has not looked this great and felt this amazing and many years since my original hair stylist retired. Im sure all the ladies are great there but Im definitely sticking to my Anna. As long as shes doing hair Ill always be her client not only does she do a great job on hair she has an outstanding personality which makes you feel very comfortable within the first few minutes of meeting her so Anna if you see this thank you so much for helping me look my best

Lauren Hanakovic My friends and I have been going to Evan Michaels over the past few years. We make the drive from Binghamton about every 8-10 weeks and it’s totally worth it. Kasey and her team make you feel welcome and it’s always such a nice atmosphere. I always admire their work and enjoy seeing the final product when they’re finished with their clients hair. I always leave the salon happy and loving my hair!

Kourtney Warren I saw Ashleigh before & recently starting seeing her again. She is amazing at what she’s does, hair & makeup! I also see Yvette for my esthetician needs, primarily facials & skin care help. Both of these girls rock & I would recommend them to anyone. The salon itself is cute & cozy, it’s a warm, welcoming environment. After my wedding a few months ago, which Kasey, Britt, & Ashleigh helped with. My mother started recently seeing Kasey. She got extensions put on & her hair colored. Let me tell you, she looks & feels like a new woman. It’s amazing how a professional service can make someone feel. Melissa Streeter I’ve been going to Evan Michaels Salon for two years now and will never go anywhere else. I’ve never been happier with my hair. Kasey and her team are fantastic. I love that they are constantly investing in furthering their education and, in turn, educate their clients on how to keep their hair its healthiest. 5 ++++ stars!!!!!

Elizabeth Healy Anna is fantastic! She knows what styles will and won’t work for your hair. Her command of color is amazing! She makes sure to have extensive consultation before doing anything so you know exactly what needs to happen to get the result you want. Her studio is also super fun!!

Amber Lievre Anna at Sola Salon is great! She constantly checks in with her clients to see if they are still liking the haircut as she’s cutting. She takes her time and tries to make her clients feel at home in her studio. She heard I was doing my wedding hair on my own (i’m not a cosmetologist), and she took the time to walk me through, step by step, how to get the look I want on my wedding day. She gave me the inside scoop of what products to buy and where I could buy them. As long as I live in Syracuse, I’ll be going to Anna!

Jessica Fox So many different salons to choose from, all in one place! I absolutely love Amanda at The Color Clinic Salon, she always does an AMAZING job on my hair!!!

GodHead Custom Creations Best salon in Syracuse hands down!!! I brought my 6 yr old (who got about 4 heads worth of thick hair) for her 1st wash and press and believe me this tender-headed child cried and screamed!! But Beverly did an amazing job! Both Beverly and Jackie met the challenge with patience, laughter and professionalism! When other salons would have given up, Beverly persevered and conquered that wild hair and crying child. Not to mention, all the other customers hair they were doing came out perfect!! The environment is laid back, friendly and welcoming. I left feeling like family. Well be back, Bev ;)

Amber Messina Venus is phenomenal. Ive been going to her for about ten years, and she always lets me be as picky as I want to be with tweaks etc lol. She genuinely wants her clients to be more than happy. I was gifted a cut at a different salon, and knew right away that Venus is better with technique and professionalism. And every time shes working on someone when I get there early, that person is always thrilled with their hair. I always love going to Venus and coming away looking as feeling fabulous and refreshed.

Kelly Radigan I have been going to Venus for over 10 years and have always had such a positive experience with her. She listens to what you want and does a really amazing job executing your vision. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my hair!

Lissa Rose I have known Venus for almost a year and she has done an amazing job every time I went to her for my hair. She’s always so polite and respectful and easy to conversation with. I just love going to her salon. The people, the atmosphere and the work done is the best in Syracuse, even better than the expensive top salon in Chicago that I’ve been to! I recommend her to everyone and will never go anywhere else to have my hair done. I see a few bad reviews on here but they are the complete opposite of what I’ve experienced and how I’ve seen her act towards other customers. She is always accommodating and professional with everyone. If I ever move out of Syracuse, I will fly back just to get my hair done by her!

Randum Poet Venus is a true artist who has mastered the art of customer service, along with pure talent the way she handles my hair.
