Sania Holy I did several times hair straightening in Bangladesh and New York City. I stopped doing it for few years. My hair condition was worse. Rokhsana apu made it wonderful. I am really happy of her service. She has a kind and wonderful personality. I will be her regular customer definitely.

Sameya Shithi I Did my hair rebounding today from Rokhsana apu. She’s the best and the expert on her work for sure. My hair giving all the shine it needed she made it look really good. Recommend her 10/10. Visit her or make appointment with her to do your hair permanent straitening. She will give her best to make you happy with the result for sure.

Henna By Masraka it was my first time visiting here and had a wonderful experience with rokasana Apu and her team.they are very friendly and did a great job with my hair. I would definitely recommend her and her team 100%. Thanks for making me look good

Barbara I’ve been going to Shari to years to get my hair done (cut only) and I absolutely loved her as a person and hairdresser. I am blessed with amazing and low maintenance hair that Shark calls “model hair”. It’s voluminous and big but sits just right. It takes too long for my patience to straighten, but Shari almost always straightens it out for me when I get my hair cut. She has a keen sense of how to style a person’s hair compared to their head shape and she just does such a great job. Thank you so much for all of your wonderful haircuts, Shari!!

Laura Mascari I had such an amazing experience there! Not only did this salon offer excellent conversations(with Ashlee the hairdresser), prices, and service, theres a dog! Hes basically a therapy dog. 100% recommended.

Kayleigh Tompkins-Lipsitz Kallista did all the beauty services for my wedding. They did an exceptional job! They do not have a makeup artist, but one of the stylists was able to bring in a friend to do makeup. Everyone involved w/ my wedding had a great time at the salon; everyone is so much fun! All hair stayed perfectly done for 12+ hours. My sheilac manicure stayed in place for 2 weeks, through my wedding and honeymoon.

Meghan Como OMG I was absolutely over the moon at how amazing my hair came out!! Like it came out better than I could have ever imagined (you should have seen the before lol.) This was my first time back in a hair salon in over 10 years (I’m super protective of my hair so that’s why I hadn’t gone in a while), but my hair desperately needed some sprucing up so I decided it was time to go, and let me tell you, I don’t think I’d trust anyone else with my hair besides Gretchen. She is such a lovely/kind person and knew exactly what I wanted and how to execute it perfectly, and overall she is so knowledgeable about hair care. So if you’re looking for a place to go to get your hair bleached/dyed/cut, look no further! I’d 100% recommend seeing Gretchen .

Roger Moore Gretchen is wonderful! So precise and gives me exactly what I want. Prices are very fair for hair cut. Have not gotten color or mani/pedi, so I dont know how those prices are. They only take cash, so prepare for that.

Meg Saint-Neri I’ve gotten my hair done by Maggie at least 4 times. She’s my go to hairdresser now! Maggie made my hair so beautiful! Which made me feel so beautiful! She was very professional & had great topics of conversation. I highly recommend booking with her!

McKyla Brooks Maggie is a one of a kind hair dresser! I came to her to get my hair back to my natural color and she matched it perfectly !!! Made me feel so sexy! She is so friendly and made me feel so comfortable in her chair!! Highly recommend! Also her blowouts are outstanding. I basically get a blowout every week now. Love her! Thank you Maggie!

Jodi Brown I have nothing but great things to say about Scenic Salon! Maggie has been cutting and coloring my hair for years, and I couldnt be happier. She always listens to what I want, and gives suggestions to what would look best. Maggie is very talented. I highly recommend Scenic Salon!

Christina Benham Whether its a quick trim or a full makeup look, Maggie kills it every time. I cannot recommend her enough, she is absolutely amazing at both hair and makeup. If you are looking for stylist/MUA you need to book an appointment in Maggie’s chair. I know when I leave scenic salon, I will always be satisfied!

Courtney Viens I have been going to Heather for my cuts and highlights for over 4 years and couldnt be happier. David Clayton Ive been coming to Mercury Salon to see Felicia for about a year now. These are honestly the best haircuts Ive ever had. N Z I am so glad I decided to try Mercury Salon out. First of all, the salon itself is very welcoming and immaculate and there are so many wonderful plants in the windows. You are offered bottled water or a beverage and I happened to be the only customer in there at the time of my haircut and so I had Felicias undivided attention, which was nice. Felicia is extremely personable and friendly and the conversation flowed so naturally that before I knew it my haircut was over and my hair was then soft as soft can be and I felt great. She asked a few questions before the haircut to see what I wanted and did everything I asked plus whatever she suggested, which I tend to be open to whatever the stylist suggests as well. She also asked if I was comfortable with her using CBD products on my hair (which I was happy to say yes to - the products smell amazing!). I feel that for the service, the price is reasonable for a high end salon. Anyways, I am very pleased with trying out this salon and will definitely be back as its also within walking distance from my house. Try Mercury Salon out, youll be happy you did!!

Shannon Graziano Adam is an amazing hair dresser! I came to him after a salon chemically burned my hair and he was able to completely heal and turn my hair into something I now look forward to getting done instead of being scared what products they are using. Thank you so much for saving my hair! Melissa is an incredible esthetician. I can go to her for anything from microcurrent treatments to lash lifts/tints. She is so knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Danielle Grzymala Best haircut and experience. Ever. I usually tell my stylist that Im a nomad because I keep roaming around trying to find someone to cut my curly hair properly. Im currently growing out the aftermath of the last bad haircut I got from someone else. Adam is amazing. He listens to you and offers his expertise so that you work together to decide on whatever needs to be done. I got my grays covered and a beautiful cut to even out my mess. Jessica Vella Pryzm salon provided hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I for my wedding last week, and they did a phenomenal job. The team created beautiful, unique hairstyles for each of my bridesmaids, and transitioned mine from loose curls to an elegant updo, which all held up during the heat and movement of the entire day. The makeup enhanced and complimented each of our features and skin tones, and you could tell they had experience working with different hair types and textures, we received a lot of compliments. I can’t thank Adam and Allison enough for making a nervous bride feel beautiful, confident, and ready for this special occasion. Adam especially went above and beyond attending to all the details, and providing exactly what was needed in a timely manner. Mary Bieger Once you sit in Adam’s chair, you won’t want to go to anyone else. Adam has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 10 years now. He’s such a pleasure to talk with, the atmosphere is comfortable and modern and sophisticated and fun. I always leave in awe of the transformation that has taken place with my hair. He always gets it just right - he has such solid understanding of hair product that works perfectly for my type of hair. He patiently shares his knowledge about what would work best for me and why. I don’t feel like just another appointment when I get my haircut with Adam - he gives me his undivided attention, he knows me and remembers our conversations. It’s always a pleasure to be there. I also bring all three of my boys to Adam - three totally different heads of hair - and again, he always gets it just right. He is kind and funny and professional and so skilled. Angela Sikora Adam is the owner of the salon and I just started coming to him. My hair was extremely unhealthy and I knew I needed a change. My first appointment Adam took an entire look at my hair before he started, offered suggestions on how to improve the health of it, and today had my second appointment and already am noticing a difference. Elizabeth Digati Alyssa does such a wonderful job on my hair. Ive seen her for full foil highlights and a cut several times now and my hair keeps getting healthier and healthier. I never truly know what I want and just blurt out random things - I also dont exactly take care of my hair as well as I should - yet she takes care of my needs every single time! Shes super helpful with products as well but not in a pushy way. I love the vibes in Local Honey - everyone is so nice and the atmosphere is great. This is the only salon in Buffalo that I feel comfortable in and trust.

She’s extremely talented and always knows exactly what I want, but is also very realistic with hair expectations as well. My hair has never been healthier and always looks incredible thanks to her! D. Gabner Went in for an appointment in early 2023 to fade out my colored blonde hair back to my natural color. My hair was parted the wrong way (down the middle) and hasnt gone back to its normal left side part after the colorist did whatever to it. Ive been walking around like this for year now. I dont hate the middle part, but I dont know what was done to my hair to cause this automatic parting lol.

Sarah Ertel Super disappointed with the service and the way the stylist made me feel invalidated about my concerns. Don’t go here if you’re looking for freehand balayage, because you might get a standard full foil with a root melt instead. The stylists here are talented, but I didn’t feel heard at all when it came to what I wanted with my service. I presented pictures that were rooted blonde, hand painted styles. Bright pops of color and a melted look. I left the salon with almost the exact same hair I walked in with, which was crazy after spending 4 hours in the chair. (Pictures included in the review) (first is before almost brighter second is after) As someone in the service industry, I still tipped slightly over 20% which made my service shy of 400. So, 4 hours and almost 400 dollars later, my hair looks the same! I’m only writing this review because I first reached out to the stylist giving her a chance to address my concerns but instead I felt sort of blamed? She was nice about it, but I felt she was undermining my concerns. I reached out to the stylist on Instagram, presenting the issue. She claimed it was as blonde as I could get without damaging my hair, which is fair. However, she didn’t address the fact that she gave me a ton of contrast with the highlights when I said I didn’t wanted that. It’s crazy that this happened to me, as I didn’t think my expectations were unrealistic. I actually showed this to another licensed stylist and she agreed that it wasn’t technically a balayage. Which was the service I booked. Do your research before booking. I will definitely be looking at a stylist’s body of work on Instagram before booking next time.

Amy Gambino I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who work there. When I came in my long hair had gotten shamefully bad, very matted. I’ve had some depression issues lately. All the staff was non judgemental and my stylist gave me the cutest pixie cut. I feel like a completely new woman. I was intimidated going into a salon with hair in such poor condition but all the staff were caring and kind and so professional. I felt like the price was very reasonable for the amount of time the stylist spent with me. I left a good tip because of the outstanding service! When my hair grows out I will be coming right back! Other bonuses: the location is convenient to the bus line or there’s lots of parking. It’s nicely decorated with well cared for plant friends. Very clean salon. Online booking super convenient.

C.D. Nevaeh (V) Grace Bell did my hair. Walked in not knowing what I wanted and she took care of everything! She is so sweet and professional, I have chosen my place for hair. And I went last week for a lashlift with Laurelle. Also booked a appointment with Grace for my daughter on her birthday next week. These ladies know what theyre doing and they do a phenomenal job, I will recommend to anyone.

Amy Liu Ive been here twice now and both times have been the best hair experiences I have ever had! I highly, highly recommend Genevieve as the stylist. I got my hair balyaged and cut with her both times, and I have never loved my hair more. She was so attentive and ensured she knew exactly what I wanted before she began. You can tell she takes her time to get the best result. I got so many compliments on my hair after the first appointment, even after months later. All of the staff are so lovely and professional.

Kristine Smith Frank Giambra is the best in the business. He is truly the Master! He cut and colored my hair better than the high price salons. I have never gotten as many compliments about how nice my hair looks in my life. If you are looking to have your hair cut /colored and want someone you can trust to do it right, then Frank Giambra is the person to see. Also, the prices are reasonable and not over priced. Trust me you wont regret it!

M Spry Jeremy is the only person allowed to touch my hair. Best service and extremely knowledgeable. Hes a master of color and his creativity shows in all the work he does. Highly worth the time and money. Ive never left there unhappy. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for the best cut and/or color of their life.

Lindsey Ziccardi There is no better salon than Salon in the City! Ive been going to Stacie for about 10 years now and when she opened Salon in the City I had to follow her there. She is an amazing stylist and cares about each and every customer she makes every single one feel special and comfortable. She listens to what you are looking for and always gives great suggestions too! When I got married 2 years ago Stacie and Christiana (another fabulous stylist! She made me some awesome clip in extensions for special events and they are perfect!) even came on site and did mine and my bridesmaids hair! They all looked amazing! I was at the salon just last week and Stacie noticed that I (unintentionally) may have burned a piece of my hair with the blow dryer and immediately suggested a heat protect spray and shine combo (called Kera Glaze Smoother and Color Lock). It was the perfect fix! My hair feels strong and even the shine spray is light and makes my hair so soft. Another amazing experience at Salon in the City!!

Emily Kernin I started coming to this salon about 6 months ago from a friend who recommended them. Theyre all amazing there!! I personally get my nails and hair done by Pam and she is fantastic! My nails have never been better and she is helping me to make my hair heathier since my last salon caused damage. The 3 stylists are all super friendly and wonderful and I love them all. Nina Bangel Amazing, I repeat AMAZING SALON. The culture and vibe is just spot on and it is so beautiful and relaxing inside. My stylist Cathy is literally the queen of hair on Hertel and gave me highlights and cut better than I could of even dreamed of. I have never loved my hit so much. Philip W This is the most unprofessional facility/man I have ever spoke with. I called to schedule an appointment for my ladys birthday and he said he would call me back in a hour. Two hours later I called him back from my office number. Let him know I never got a call back, he asked was my lady black. I said yes, he said oh he wasnt going to call me back because he thought I was white. None the less, booked an appointment. The night before the appointment he texted and cancelled. This left me scrambling the day of her birthday to try to find a salon, ON A FRIDAY! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Audrey Loines I got my hair cut and colored by Alyssa this weekend. This is by far the best my hair has ever looked, she’s very thorough with everything she does, and really cares about the end result, not to mention she’s so nice and makes it a point to make you feel good about yourself. I don’t think I could go to anyone else after going to her. Everyone in the salon is super friendly. As someone who’s super shy and awkward, they all made me feel so comfortable and were able to get me out of my shell which means a lot to me. I could not recommend this salon enough.

Bri wholts Would leave a 0 star but there is not an option. Shop focuses more on gossip than doing hair. I would never go back here. Stylist had a nasty attitude and yanking my hair. Went down the street to Natural beauty for them to fix what this shop messed up. They are very professional. Watch owner responds with an attitude and sarcasm like she did with the rest of low ratings. Very sad & unprofessional. Ugh. 0 star

Kali Gina was my hair guru for 1 Mar 2024. I love everything about this woman! She found a spot for me in her schedule so that I could have my hair relaxed, and her energy is quiet and kind. She is excellent at her job; I had neglected my hair for about 3 months and came in looking like I was homeless with a rats nest on my head. She relaxed my hair without pulling my hair, she put the Affirm Fiberguard relaxer in my hair and there was no discomfort, no burning and no clumps of hair in the comb and it didnt take all day. She has a bright and personable personality, and I highly recommend her expert hair services. You will not regret it!

Alexis Lawson Latoya was my stylist and she provided me a wonderful experience! I was visiting Buffalo and needed my hair done for a photoshoot and she was fast and professional. Plus she is very kind and easy to talk to!
