Salma Ahmed had a fantastic experience at Hair Lounge NYC with Leah! I went in for a balayage, looking for a natural color that would complement my black hair. Leah took the time to walk me through the process and explain how different shades would appear on my natural hair. We decided on a deep brown to avoid using bleach, and I fully trusted her expertise. It was clear that she is highly knowledgeable in her field, and I appreciated her professional recommendations. The process was smooth, and Leah’s friendly demeanor made the experience even better. She engages in deep, meaningful conversations, making the appointment feel comfortable and enjoyable. Tina Bodner I have gotten my haircut here for a couple years now and every time I am extremely pleased with my cut! The staff are kind and welcoming, always hanging your coat for you and offering a drink which is really sweet. The stylists are very skillful and really listen to what you want and work with you to create exactly what you are looking for! My blow dry and style after is always A++ ( Ill include a picture from after my last visit) I have been with several stylists there, and all of their stylist are skillful and attentive! Michelle and Adela recently have done an amazing job with my long fine and curly hair. Another thing I love about Shear Bliss is the salon interior is clean and beautiful, and the music and vibes put me at ease. I feel comfortable and taken care of there. Aiza Zulkarnay My hair is very dry and damaged from my adolescence. I’ve been doing different keratin procedures for 10 years, so I clearly can compare effects. Nelly is a professional! She gave me deep analysis of my hair using special technology and helped me to find a best cosmetics for treatment. After one month use I was surprised, how cleaner and stronger my hair became. I decided to do scalp detox then, in order to completely recover them. Result was even more surprising. She explained me, how keratin and scalp help each other for better efficiency. Keratin could damage my weak hair without detox, but doing keratin after that treatment will even make the healing effect last for long, because protein under high temperature covered scalp detox and now my hair is strong, shiny and gorgeous. Observing my hair a week after procedure, I found Nelly’s job done brilliantly. I can tell, because usually a week after procedure hair behaves different way after different salons. I’m grateful to finally find a right specialist in New-York!

Alena It was my first experience and its amazing. my hair was fluffy, after the procedure it became so pleasant to the touch, smooth and shiny. I also really liked the scalp detox, after that the hair stayed clean longer. but i think without Nelly it wouldnt make such sense because she is super professional! highly recommend:)

Isabella Lopez Honeybliss salon is an amazing salon on the UES! I went into the first appointment unsure of what I wanted to do and Kadir the stylist guided me on what would be best. I did not like the outcome of my hair and they were happy to rebook an appointment. It was not a cheap process overall but I am glad I went back and got the hair I asked for. They use only Oribe products which is amazing. I would highly recommend and they are very detail oriented!

Shu Aw I have been getting my hair colored with Kadir & his team for a couple of years now and couldn’t imagine getting it done anywhere else. He always gets it right and is knowledgeable about hair health and color. Love the friendly and hard working staff as well. Highly recommend!

Lymari Delgado I HIGHLY recommend Honeybliss Salon in the UES! This is my second visit, and I couldn’t be happier with my balayage, thanks to Kadir’s exceptional skill. I’ve recommended this salon to many friends, and they’ve all had amazing experiences too. They’ve recently moved to a beautiful, spacious new location in the UES. The client service, hairstyling skills, and overall experience here are unmatched. Kadir and Jess are incredible, but the entire team is amazing at what they do. Kayla ESPINAL I recently went to Vu and had my hair cut by Danny. He was absolutely incredible! I was doing “the big chop,” cutting my mid-length hair to a pixie and donating it as well. I couldn’t have been styled by anybody better. He was patient, took pride in his work on my hair and did an incredible job. I would highly recommended to anyone looking for an amazing cut done by an amazing person!

Julia Megibow Dolson I will try to make this review short and sweet as I know long one can be daunting, but let me tell you that I feel like I have FINALLY found my new salon and stylist in the Upper East Side. As we all know, especially those of us that color our hair, finding a good salon and a good stylist can be quite a journey. I had been to several other salons in the neighborhood and some I would stay at for a few months, but then something would happen that would cause me to look elsewhere. I came in on a Sunday and Giuseppe was my stylist. I said to him only a few simple things - half head of highlights and blended and he went to work. i dont know how he did it or if he is a psychic, but it was like he read my mind and gave me exactly what I wanted and I AM THRILLED. I feel like only really good and amazing stylists can take a little information and make it amazing. He also has such a strong passion for hair coloring and the art of it. He thoroughly enjoys his work and making people happy by giving them exactly what they want and you can tell as it was very much reflected in his work and personality. Also the Living room hair salon is HUGE and just beautiful! I dont think I have been to a salon that clean, organized and spacious since I lived in California! Seriously - if you want a wonderful experience with wonderful stylists - look no further as The Living Room Hair Salon is IT.

Chris Lesko I have going to Living Room Salon for close to two years and Giuseppe has been highlighting and cutting my hair to perfection each time I visit. He is a master of color and I dont think my hair has looked better in years. I highly recommend Giuseppe and Living Room Salon. You will not be disappointed.

Jane Moseley I walked into The Living Room Salon on the recommendation of a friend. I had gotten my hair colored in The Cayman Islands, where I now live, and I was NOT happy. Sitting at the front desk was Shane, who lovingly took one look at me and said, “color correction? It’s definitely…red. And stripey.” He recommended Daniela and he couldn’t have been more right. Daniela is an absolute artist. She took the correction process one step at a time and literally had her hands in my hair for the entire 4 hours I was at the salon; I have never had a more attentive stylist, let alone one as knowledgeable about color or as brilliant with color techniques, highlight placement and color correction - all while maintaining the integrity of my hair! Daniela also instinctively knew that part of my problem was the cut I had, so she finished by giving me a haircut that not only accentuated by brilliantly transformed color, but somehow made my hair seem longer! Daniela made me feel confident and good about myself again. What more could you ask for from a stylist? She is a true gem on the UES! I will no longer trust my hair to anyone but Daniela and will schedule my visits back to nyc from Grand Cayman to coincide with my need for color touch-ups.

Diane Lebowitz Guiseppe is a genius! I showed him an AI generated haircut and color, and he reproduced it exactly, transforming my drab hair into a luminous masterpiece!

Olga Stamatova Saw Jordan for my hair color & Ziyu for style & blowout - WOW WOW WOW - what a pair of amazing hair stylists! Highly recommend these 2 and the entire salon! Jordan absolutely nailed my dream color and was super attentive, explained the process, spent the time listening to me.... At no point did I have any doubts my hair will come out looking fabulous! Ziyu also somehow just knew what I secretly wanted in a haircut but could not articulate well. Hair is just the right length, bangs frame my face really nice - just super happy. This is the first haircut that I’ve ever been completely happy about in all my years of asking for “long layers” from dozens of hair stylists in the NYC area who could never bring my vision to life. I arrived a few mins early and was kindly asked to relax and have a seat, and I realized that I forgot my wallet and a very nice man, possibly an owner said you have Apple Pay, don’t worry! C Bacon I decided that any salon that could thrive on the fourth floor of an office building was likely to have a strong repeat clientele and i was right. It is clean, busy, pleasant and i got an outstanding wash and blow dry from April on very short notice. I will go back whenever i am in new york. I have had a Sassoon "bob" cut for a very long time and she recognized it as a classic precision style so i would not hesitate to have a cut there too.

I came in with box-dyed red hair (I’m blonde and my roots were showing)Jennifer offered a discount for me to stay and get the roots fixed and add some highlights and a gloss. Just note that when the salon is busy (especially Fridays and Saturdays) it gets loud and overwhelming for people like me who go into sensory overload. If you want it more quiet, aim for a Wednesday or Thursday around 1:00 or 2:00

A balayage in blonde because I’ve always had dark brown/ black hair. 2nd time coming to her for a touch up and I’m in love! Thank you so much! Jenifer as well is a great person when comes to hair cuts, she listens gives suggestions and works with you to find your Comfort but also Gives you the extra push you need to try something a little new.

Vincent M 2nd time going here and was absolutely AMAZED with the results. Ordered a cut and Digital Perm with Celine and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest! Celine was very nice, professional, and informative with my hair, especially letting me know that a digital perm wasn’t necessary and instead helped me with a down perm and charged me with that instead! While cost may be a little high, what you’re paying for isn’t necessarily the haircut, but the quality and professionalism that comes with it. the staff here are very courteous and kind! They offer refreshments of your choosing if you are thirsty and also sell hair products that will help maintain the longevity of the haircut you got! If you have a hairstyle in mind, make sure to have reference photos/videos so that the stylists may help you achieve your desired hair style! TL;DR - An amazing place with amazing hairstylist and staff! While expensive, it’s worth the cost. 10/10 and make sure you book with CELINE! Shes absolutely wonderful! Can’t wait to go again!

Mari Lee Absolute worst and choppiest haircut I’ve ever received. I should’ve left as soon as she started taking halves of my hair instead of smaller sections. She kept dropping the comb and tool on the floor. Seemed like she was lost. I tried asking the other hairdressers if what she was doing was part of the process, but they pretended they didn’t speak English or Korean and didn’t defend her either. Go to On Session nearby. Your money is better spent there.

Sara Rehart Got my hair cut and colored by Sarah, and so happy I did ! The service they provide is amazing and Sarah really knows what shes doing to bring your vision to life- along with giving her input. Everyone is so nice and I felt very catered to during my first visit there.

Soo Kim It was my first time getting my hair done at NEWHAIR, and their stylist Celine did such an amazing job! I had long hair with damaged ends, so I decided to do get layers to make my hair look cleaner and lighter. I appreciated that Celine took the time to communicate with me throughout the whole process, making sure we’re on the same page. She also gave me helpful tips on how to style my hair! I absolutely love how my hair turned out, and definitely would come back in the future and get my hair done with Celine again. 디자이너님 감사합니다

Mariska LyHo Super satisfied with their service. Professional, clean, organize, most importantly hospitable. The variety of beverage complimentary is such a nice gesture and thoughtful. Remembering depends on what kind of service you get and how long you’d be spending time there. It shows how much the business care for your experience. I booked a root perm today by Megan. She is a hair magician. After witnessing how much work her and the nice assistant put today, the service consider very quick. I started at 11am and finished by 2:30ish pm. That is a lot of time for one service. But I could tell how much she’s passionate about what she does and she listened what I really need. So thank you Megan and her nice assistant, I forgot her name. She made sure I am comfortable during the process. Just go! You’ll thank me.

LoMo Phillips So glad I found my curly hair salon in NYC! The salon was clean, chill, and large. Marianna did a fantastic job with my hair and took the time to give lots of tips on how I could style it better. She did the PERFECT hair cut - did away with the split ends, but still kept the length. I felt very well taken care of, and while a bit more pricey, I think it was well worth it given the entire experience. Will definitely be keeping Christo as my go-to salon!

Gianna Shafei Igor is an absolute gem! He completely revived my curly hair and taught me how to care for it with such patience and clarity. His kindness made the whole experience so enjoyable, and I left his chair feeling confident and truly in love with my natural curls again. I can’t recommend Igor enough. he’s a true expert and just an all-around wonderful person!

Tal Cohen I am very hesitant when going to new hair salons but I when googling different places I found Christo 5th Ave and after seeing all the glowing reviews constantly mentioning Igor, I decided to impulsively book my appointment. I am so happy I did. I don’t have a Before photo of my hair but the after speaks for itself. He cut my layers super naturally and still kept my hair long, which other stylists I have been to in the past have always struggled to do. He was also super helpful and patient and made sure to ask me what issues I had and wanted to fix with my hair. I love how he made my hair just look better and feel healthier. All my friends have just been constantly complimenting my hair without realizing I even got a haircut. Before Igor cut my hair, I was feeling really frustrated with how my hair would look and I definitely wasn’t getting as many compliments as I am now. So grateful to him and will definitely be back!

Aliyaah Toussaint I had an amazing experience at Christo Fifth Avenue! As someone with type 4 natural hair, I’m usually very hesitant about going to professional salons because I’m so protective of my hair. But I decided to trust Christo Fifth Avenue for a color and blowout, and I’m so glad I did. Igor, my stylist, was incredible— efficient, and so knowledgeable about how to care for my hair type. He made me feel completely at ease, and the process was smooth from start to finish. No hair loss, no pulling, and absolutely no rough handling. On top of that, Igor was so friendly, and we had great conversation throughout the appointment. I’m in love with the color (reddish auburn) and can you believe no bleach was used!! Candy Y My 15yo daughter and I had our Head Spa treatments done right before we’re flying back to Florida. We were greeted and welcomed. Without much wait, we were seated to begin services. We did detox, moisturizing treatments along with some scalp massages. My stylist, Beau, was super attentive from water temperature to how I wanted to style my hair…. Look at how pretty she made my hair looks!! Love my experience at Maison with Beau!! Give her a shout!! You will be happy that you did!!

Jason Tom Danny did an amazing job. Got a haircut and perm. Told me he’d keep the length, trim down some of the weight and layer the hair, and then perm it. We went with a bit tighter curl because I’m an active guy and want to keep the perm a bit longer through more sweat and movement. Very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable and answered all my questions during the process. Recommend for any Asian male with medium length hair getting a perm!!

Dana Lee Ian is absolutely the best hair designer in NYC!! Worth every penny! Me and my husband used to go Mason de Mi for Ian for a long time but we moved out from NYC couple years ago. We missed him so much as there is no better hair designers than him in other parts of US. My and my son just did my haircuts with Ian and left the salon now. This is the hair cut we really wanted for a long time. He is absolutely the best of best in USA! I sent couple of my friends to Ian before they all loved him! I highly recommend him to anyone! Thanks for made our nyc visit so special and for the amazing haircuts! We will def come back for our next visit!

Suzie Ryu Halley was fantastic. I saw her for a layered cut for my long Asian hair and I’m thrilled with the results. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and offered expert advice to make sure I left the salon satisfied and confident. Her attention to detail, precision, and creativity are remarkable. And she created a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, allowing me to relax while she worked her magic. If you’re looking for a stylist, Halley is the one, especially if you’re looking for a soft, long layered look! Highly recommend!

Stephanie Wang The salon itself is clean, bright, and airy. It’s super easy to find. All of the staff are super friendly from the moment you walk in the door! I had an appointment with Halley for a layered haircut and color/highlights. She did an amazing job giving me what I requested! She works very fast so it only took about 3 hours total. She listens well when you want something specific done (eg. I have thick hair and wanted the bulk of my hair thinned in the back; she totally delivered!) Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Kierstin R. Elisa took incredible care of me and my curls at my first time to this salon!! I went in for a haircut to freshen up my ends and shape my bangs. The shampooing was thorough with much attention to detail on my scalp and helping remove any product buildup. Best. Feeling. Ever. She listened to my requests regarding length and my plans to layer or chop in the warmer months. Since I only use heat on my hair about once a year, I opted for a blowout and left feeling confident. They usually never last, but this one I wore for a week in rainy weather! Combing my fingers through my hair and putting it in a ponytail were so easy. My curls bounced back beautifully, and my hair feels amazing. Elisa’s skill, rapport, and professionalism made me feel welcome and taken care of. I can’t wait to go back!
