I’ve been in other salons where gossip is a big thing.. not at SnB Hair Studio. You are sure to engage in meaningful talk and great advice from the owner herself. Quality service.. you definitely get your moneys worth.

Christina C Ruth is the absolute best ever! I’ve been coming to her for years! I even moved and still found a way to get her. She is the only person I let near my hair w a scissor or chemicals! This is my most recent bob done by the GOAT!!!

Tina Y I called to make an appointment this morning and lucky for me they had one available! I was immediately greeted and my jacket was taken to be hung before I got my hair shampooed. My Stylist was Dayra, she was nice and professional. She asked me what I wanted and what my end goal was. I wanted layers and shape without losing length, because I Love my long hair. It was a butterfly cut essentially and came out perfect! I couldn’t be more happy with it! The salon is also clean, nice and bright. The kind of atmosphere that makes you feel pampered. Everyone around there seemed knowledgeable as well.

Poly Klou I’ve been going to Riva for years, and it’s hands down the best salon I’ve ever been to! Lauren is an absolute artist when it comes to coloring—she’s attentive, creative, and always gets my color just right. She listens to what I want and delivers flawless results every single time. Isaac, the owner, is equally amazing. His passion for his craft is evident in the salon’s warm atmosphere and the top-tier service from every member of the team. You can tell he’s built a space where both clients and stylists thrive. I can’t recommend Riva enough!!!!

Alex I got a great haircut here last year (I even left a five-star review), so I decided to return. Unfortunately, this time, my experience was completely different. I showed the stylist (different from last year) photos of the cut I wanted, but was instead given the most conservative haircut I’ve ever had – maybe quite literally an eighth of an inch. It wasn’t a haircut, so much as it was a dusting. The angles that I asked for and showed in the reference photo were never cut either. When I went home my family even asked me if I had gotten a haircut at all. After a few days of trying to work up the nerve to call and ask if I could come back to have the haircut that I asked for, I finally made the call. The owner was extremely nice, and told me that I could come in and they would let me get another revision haircut free of charge. It’s not at all easy for me to get to the salon, as I live really far away, so I had to spend the entire day traveling over there to come back for the day that I scheduled. I showed the reference photo again and explained what I wanted, but the revision turned out to be the worst haircut I’ve ever had. I was left with uneven, choppy cuts that don’t match on either side of my face, whether my hair is parted to the side (as it naturally does) or in the middle. The strange angles make it impossible to style or hide. I trusted the process while she worked on me (even thought from the very first cut it looked like something was wrong), but it didn’t come together, leaving me stuck with something I can’t fix or hide. I’m still reeling and shocked that I spent so much time going back here to get a revision haircut, only to end up in a place even worse than where I started. I’ve loved angled haircuts in the past, but this experience has left me scared to ever ask for them again. I’m not picky about haircuts in general, but this one has shaken my confidence. I have been embarrassed to return to my classes, and have canceled my plans for the week while I considering finding another salon, and paying for another haircut, to turn the uneven strands into bangs just to make it manageable—a look I have never wanted on myself, but now feel forced into. The blowout I recieved was also more of a simple hair drying, with very little -if any- styling, than the blowouts I am used to getting when I go to a salon, too. It was flat and had no life in it. While the staff was very nice, I feel obligated to share this experience to warn others. For anyone sensitive about their hair, this could be devastating. A haircut should leave you feeling confident, not stuck with a mistake you’ll deal with for months or years. Unfortunately, this has made the start of my year feel like it’s over before it even began. Christine Khawaja Disappointing experience. Staff were very rude to me and made judgmental comments about my appearance and clothing as I was not wearing makeup or a "flattering" outfit. I got a pretty basic haircut and ended up paying $90 which seemed very expensive to me given how quick and simple the cut was. The prices on the website seemed affordable but it was not. (Also FYI you cant give tips with your credit card payment so bring cash) The stylist I booked was busy with another client so they gave me the choice to wait or see a different stylist. I opted for another stylist and did not have to wait. The owner was there and he was very personable, welcoming and friendly. I liked my stylist as well, but the other staff, particularly at the sinks made my experience really awful. Aesthetically its a beautiful salon but personally I will not recommend and I will not return.

Natalie DePadua Ive gotten highlights here a couple times, as well as color, cuts, and blowouts. Jody and Isaac are artists with color, and Gabby gave me a fabulous curly cut. Everyone has a great attitude and even the design and mood in the salon are beautiful. Riva keeps you slaying!

Melonie Chiu This was the best salon experience I’ve ever had! Zoe, my hairstylist, perfectly recreated the cut I wanted just from a few reference photos. She was incredibly sweet and provided thoughtful recommendations on my coloring to help me maintain it longer. I also appreciated that they sent me home with a box of dye in case the color fades over time. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommend!

Louise Kim Zoe did SUCH a wonderful job on my color job- even though there was a language barrier, she understood all of my asks and executed perfectly. I initially wasn’t 100% sure of what I wanted, but she guided me in the right direction and I ended up loving the end result. In addition to that she was just an incredibly kind and approachable person. I can’t wait to go back!!

selin talya moral I went to MG Salon to get my hair bleached to a platinum white color. I’m so happy with the results!! I have pretty thick hair that can resist bleaching despite being lighter brown and they handled it really well. Pan and team made sure my hair was in good condition throughout the whole process and explained every step along the way. The salon is also well equipped and a great environment to spend 4-5+ hours in with plenty of snacks and entertainment. Salon staff is very attentive and kind as well. The service is well worth the price. If you are looking for a place that you can trust for a challenging color, I highly recommend and I will be returning regularly.

I came in for layers with face framing and curtain bangs and am extremely happy with the result. My hair stylist knew exactly what I wanted from one look at a reference photo and absolutely delivered. She truly made me feel valued with a precise cut, not a single hair was left imperfect. Alison Morris Five stars is not enough! This place was so amazing, especially Ivan, who was my stylist – they were so great and took me as a walk in! Ivan was the best and checked in with me throughout the trim that turned into a haircut to make sure I was comfortable with how much we were taking off (We ended up doing more than I initially thought because the ends were so dead and he double checked before doing anything). Not only was the cut fantastic, Ivan gave me the MOST GORGEOUS blowout - he did not even have to use a straightening iron once! I cannot oversell that enough, I have a long, thick, curly hair, and this man gave me the most gorgeous fantastic bouncy blowout with just the brush and the hairdryer. 100 stars all around, I cant wait to go back!! And, it was so reasonably priced!

Isabel Guerrero I had an amazing experience at [Salon Name] with Shay and Alex! After 5 years of cutting my own hair because I couldn’t trust anyone else, they exceeded my expectations. Shay gave me a flawless haircut, and Alex finished with a blow dry that gave my hair the perfect shape—making the final look absolutely amazing. I was super impressed! Both are incredibly talented and truly care about their clients. Now I know I’m in good hands, and I’ll definitely be coming back! ammini david i got my hair obliterated at another salon (check my review history to see how bad it was lmao) and alex saved me! they triple washed my hair, fixed the ends, and put the WORK into my blowout. all of the staff was very sweet- hung up my stuff, made light headed jokes, helped me put on my jacket, and got me out in an hour. everyone seemed like a family in there, i loved the vibes and efficiency. worth every penny!

Lauren Pluguez Eda, the hair stylist that assisted in coloring, cutting my hair, & a blow dry (with Damiano, an assistant) were gentle with putting dye/highlights throughout my hair. It didnt burn my scalp, and they showed me great customer service for my appointment. After getting a toner in my hair, washing/conditioned, cut, and all, it was all done within 2 hours. Im very happy with my experience here since it was my first time at this salon which I found on a Google search. I totally recommend this professional business for hair, nails, threading, etc to anyone.

Jasvinder Mullarkey I have been going to Shay’s hair salon for over 10 years and even when I stopped working in the area I still drove over 30 minutes to get to his salon. Why? Because my hair has never looked so good. I never felt so beautiful. When I first went to Shay my hair was very long. He was the only hair stylist to know how to style long hair. Everyone else would say “there isn’t much to do with it.” Not Shay. Eventually my style changed and whether I kept it long or short, Shay made it perfect. From coloring to cuts Shay will make your feel your best. His staff is great too. Nice little scalp massage when they wash your hair! Book and enjoy the day!

Kruthika Villacreses EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE AS IMAGE BY TOP SECRET. Horrible experience, for just a wash and blow dry with the round brush. Please go to any other hair salon before considering this one. Edit in response to the “owner” of this “business”: Instead of using your time to create a fake business to boost location ratings on Google Maps to help boost the original business in the EXACT SAME GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION, how about you use your time to teach your stylists how to wash hair? Maybe then the real business’s ratings won’t be so abysmal.

I always get so many compliments on my hair and that all has to do with Albert. They did my hair for my wedding and I loved it! Cristina Aviles Excellent salon. I have been following Albert for years. When he opened this gem of a salon I couldn’t have been happier! Albert is amazing. He truly is talented when it comes to hair. I have never met a hairdresser quite like him before. Whether it’s color, cut, blowouts or treatments, Albert will guide you in what’s best for your needs. I wanted an asymmetrical bob. Hated the overall experience. I felt like I paid someone to contradict and criticize me. Never ever going back.

Alexandra T I went to this location back in August 2024 based on reviews. I went as a walk-in. He took me without appointment on a weekend. Luckily theres only one client inside. The reviews were right about how nice and talented this guy is! My hair needed some fixing, I showed him a pic of what I had in mind, he went ✂ in and did a great job! For that Im very grateful! The only down-sides are: the place is smaller than expected and can use some TLC! Also, he did not wash my hair before cutting it! A bit disappointed cuz it was dirty, but I went with it.

Christine Stewart On April 20, I visited NYC from SC and had to get my hair style quickly for an event. Called Peter and he accepted the challenge with easy. My hair is all natural and I was a bit nervous, but he did my hair so beautiful and I received a lot of excellent compliments. He even guied me to the nearest nail solon on Jamaica Ave and they did a great job as well. Peter is talented and he gives his customers what they need. Love the hot stove. Maisha Khan I would not recommend any haircuts from this place ever!!! Honest review she only took maybe 5 mins less to cut my hair and told her to make sure it’s even when it was choppy. She didn’t even make sure it’s a gradual cut for my curtain bangs either. I can see the blunt cuts she made and it looks horrible.. I told her it was for a photoshoot as well and now I have to cut it my self to make it even.. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all to anyone. This isn’t a professional place to get any haircuts or nails done. I told her as well make sure my hair parting is good but she didn’t make sure as well. 100% of all these reviews are based on friends and family to keep up with people going there. The last review with pics; the lady works there and got a haircut to just write a review. I would honestly go to any other place than this place.

While booking my appt, they asked for pictures of my hair to better understand what treatments I will possibly need and do. I went in for a single process and a hair treatment. My stylist Denise was an absolute pro. She’s knew what I wanted and got the job done. I will definitely be returning to Posh. PS - while you wait - they can provide a mimosa or champagne. i settled for sparkling water which was a nice treat (for me).

Boodd Tsatsral Bought a groupon for hairwash/cut/blow dry. The hairdresser Babita told me since my hair is long it will be extra $20, not a problem. The cut took 15 minutes, and when I asked to see the result she said since it is wet it wont show. Then proceeded to curl/blow dry my hair. It looked great since the curl hid all the flaws. Once I washed my hair to see the cut, the sides were uneven and chunks of them were straight, I asked for layers. You can see from the picture what was the end result. I am very disappointed and unhappy with the haircut, this was the worst experience. She asked me to write a review straight away, but this is ridiculous. I dont know how this salon has such great reviews. Never in my life I had this bad haircut. I would give 0 stars if that was possible.

Estefania I absolutely love Zeenat’s work! I live in Brooklyn and don’t mind the commute because she’s the only person I trust to cut my hair. After years of disappointment and visiting multiple places where no one understood what I was asking for, I finally feel like I’ve found a hidden gem. They provide excellent service and have very good prices. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them, especially Zeenat!

rien gonzales This is my first to write review. I’ve been looking for a good salon/ hairstylist for soooo long!! I’ve wasted so much money before and not worth it. So on Tuesday while just browsing I came across to Mos SaLon in Flushing. I read the reviews and I can attest that Jason is very talented. I showed the picture that I wanted and Jason explained everything and recommended what best for my hair.. It took hours but it was so much worth the money!! Each time that Jason will put something, Jason will explained it first, which was very nice and that’s how it should be.. All in all, I was so happy and even recommended to my friends.

Yoon SH (NYster) $15 for cut & wash meant another round of detailed cuts. The gentleman with dyed blond hair named Tony takes his time and make sure it comes out perfectly. I went in on Sunday morning & got an easy parking on Northern Blvd. Ive been trying to find a new place and couple of place not bad but a bit disappointing. No issues here. One of the best cuts I ever suffered. Definitely get wash for the extra $5 as he made sure the cut came out better than the pre-wash cut. Oh, he does NOT speak English but a reference pic + Google translate more than does the job. Asian hair is best left to an Asian no matter the base language. BTW: I do NOT give out 5 stars just for the heck of it.

Winnie He Good service, but I did not get what I asked for. I know that its hard to get exactly the same color or cut you request, but I showed them pictures of the style and the color I wanted and didnt get it. They cut my bangs too short, but the main problem was the hair coloring When they showed me color samples, they kept recommending purple, saying it would look good on me, and I kept rejecting it. Instead, I asked for a dark brown with red undertones, but when they finished drying my hair after the dye, it looked nothing like what I had asked for, and I realized they put purple undertones in, even though I said I didnt want purple a hundred times. The end result isnt ugly, but it feels like they ignored my request and injected their own opinion. They didnt do a bad job, but I would really recommend customers be extremely firm when they make their requests.

daeun kim I had an amazing experience with Tony at YS Hair Salon. Tony was incredibly kind, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere reminded me of my old neighborhood hair salon in Korea, where everyone was friendly, chatting, and sharing kindness, but with the exceptional skills you’d expect from any top stylist in Manhattan. m s I love my hair and I’m very sentimental towards it so I’m always very skeptical about finding someone to cut my hair, and I let it grow out too long because I get scared. I booked a 10am appointment here because it had good google reviews. I show up at 940 (says online they open at 930 and I’m always early everywhere I go, I hate when people are late.) The door was locked and nobody would let me in until 955. The nail artist asked why I was there so early when my appointment wasn’t until 10. (Very weird to ask why someone is early to an appointment?) I’m here early because I respect people’s time and you’re supposed to be open already. Whatever. The girl cutting my hair shows up a little after 10 and we get started on my hair. She was very nice and explained everything to me. She knew I don’t get my hair cut often and I didn’t want to lose too much length. She made me feel very comfortable and understood. She spent forever giving me a good shampoo and scrub which was amazing, and throughout the whole time I was there, she explained every product she used, recommended things for me to try, etc. I paid with the guy at the front desk and he kept insisting I tip in cash or Zelle (didn’t have either) and he seemed upset I wanted to tip on my card. He said they really prefer you don’t tip on a card here. I left a standard 20% tip so not sure why it’s his business how I do it. It’s hours after my appointment now and I realized there’s a good chunk of my haircut that looks bad. My face framing layers are not blended on one side, it’s cut straight across in a straight line. Not gonna bother going back there to get it fixed so I’m gonna have someone else fix it and it should be an easy fix to blend it out, but now my face framing is gonna have to go way shorter than I wanted it to be so I can even it out on both sides. Mistakes happen but I won’t come back here. Price was good, other than this piece that looks not great I do like my haircut. Compared to other places that charge $80 for a wash and cut with no blowout, this wash and cut cost $45 plus a 20% tip.

Terri Lerman Paul is by far my most treasured hairstylist.I followed him from another salon to Spectrym Hair Salon.This salon is so classy,relaxing,warm and extremely professional.All the staff are friendly and do really beautiful work.After all the trauma my hair had been through from Chemotherapy and radiation,Paul knew how to nurse my hair back to life.He is an exceptional hairstylist and I would follow him anywhere.I think Paul has found his place at Spectrym Hair Salon with all the other professional and friendly hairstylists. I would recommend him to anyone interested in a very experienced, patient and kind hairstylist.

He is a very talented and detail oriented professional stylist. Carol Derop I was pressed to find a hairstylist for my son’s wedding just days before. Spectrum was recommended and I met and consulted with my stylist. She was gracious enough to open early the morning of and squeeze me in for a updo. She was meticulous and I felt confident watching her take pride in her work and not rushed. Danya Rashid I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this salon. I asked for a simple blunt cut with angles in the front, but the results were completely botched. The angles were uneven, and even the back length wasn’t cut straight. This was by far the worst haircut I’ve ever received. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

I found Style Glam Salon back in 2019, but only recently made a return back to the salon after realizing that in order for me to get my hair done right, I need to travel to the right place (seriously, Ive gone all over Long Island to different salons, I could not find a match.) Ive worked with Ellen in the past for hair cuts and Nicole on my most recent venture there, which was to color my hair with burgundy red highlights. Nicole absolutely nailed my hair out of the park!! The color was a perfect match to my inspo photos and she cut my hair just the way I wanted it. The execution was just *muah* chefs kiss! Nicole answered my questions and she came with good vibes all around. Im so happy to say that this salon is a perfect match for me. I will be returning back here for all my hair needs, all thanks to the lovely ladies that work in this salon!!! If youre looking for a new salon, look no further and put your trust with any of the ladies here! Youll be in very good hands.

annie When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the welcoming and cozy atmosphere. It’s a clean & vibrant salon that has really good music playing in the background (seriously, I added several songs to my playlist haha). I didn’t make an appointment (since this was a spontaneous trip) but was seated within ~10 minutes and the manager Nicole checked in with me periodically. James, my hairstylist did a wonderful job with my hair & communicated with me throughout. Iris and Nicole were also really friendly and sweet. She has a ton of experience from a famous salon in South Korea, so you know she knows her stuff. She’s super detail-oriented, and it always shows in how my hair turns out. What I love the most is how fast she works without ever rushing. She’s so chill and focused, so every appointment feels relaxed and fun. Darren Lee I was actually looking for a new barber since I moved in the area. And I came across this barber shop. It was definitely trendy. I love my hair stylist, Hani was very professional and nice and kind. She took care all the cuts down to the smallest detail, even some areas you normally wouldn’t noticed. I asked her to do a certain comb-over cut and she delivered and also advise me some cool options I could style from which was be try thoughtful. Thank you Hani The service is great, I am gonna be a regular here. The price is somewhat fair. Overall the atmospheres layback and cool. Everyone is accommodating.

Sierra Lock Calling all Dolls. This is the only salon in queens you should stop at for wig installs, ponytails braids, natural hair ect. No other salon in queens would give you that clean sophisticated look. The salon is located in the heart of Jamaica ave. This store is clean the employees are professional and the ambiance is everything you’re looking for. Ask for Shelly a beautiful spirit and soul who take the time to give you exactly what you want. Andee Carroll Ester is the best! I flew from Texas to see her as I couldn’t find anyone who specialized in curls and was so knowledgeable. From the moment I reached out, my experience was phenomenal. Scheduling was easy and she kept me so comfortable during the process! Lots of snacks, all meals ordered and Netflix to keep me entertained. Results: My hair is very rare, naturally fine, curly and dark blond blended with highlights. Lots of dimension. The match was perfect! I almost cried during the reveal. It didn’t feel any heavier than my natural hair. Very light, perfect amount of volume and so comfortable! I’m tender-headed and was shocked by how comfortable the install and wear was. The curls were so easy to maintain. If you are interested in more volume and/or length, there’s no one better!

J C Ester is a magician. I have fine hair and started out with a blunt grown out blonde bob, and she took that and transformed it into the hair of my dreams. She has blended out both my grown out color and bob seamlessly, and now after many installs, my hair is both longer AND thicker than before. I don’t know how she does it.
