John de Rosier Francesco is a skilled and talented barber who turned my vague guidance into a winner of a haircut. Went in looking pretty rough and left looking and feeling like a million bucks, all at a fair price. Take in their beautiful studio barbershop on Troys must-visit River Street. Highest recommendation.

Ross Van Doren Francesco is the absolute best. He definitely knows what he’s doing and puts time and care into each and every appointment. The space is pristine and nicely decorated. If you’re looking for a barber in the Capital Region, look no further! Highly recommend.

Kira Register Brought my 2 year old son based on recommendations. By far the best experience. He was kind, patient and very professional. He explained why he was doing things a certain way, educated me on the type of cut we were needing while still incorporating what I wanted. He was perfect with my little boy. Highly recommend.

Louis S My new favorite barbershop. Elevated service and interior makes this barbershop the best in Troy. Francesco is friendly, skilled, and makes me feel welcome. Amazing attention to detail, hot towel treatments, and reclining chairs make the experience enjoyable. The interior is well lit with floor-to-ceiling windows and the aesthetic is contemporary with a touch of rustic that gives off a Brooklyn loft vibe. Do not sleep on this shop!

Lori Azoia Michael, the owner & hair stylist is wonderful! I went to Espirit back in the 90s. I had to stop because of my back issues and it was too long a ride for me from Scotia. My back is better now and Im traveling from Guilderland so, I called Michael about a year ago and once again Im very happy with my hair.

DEBRA BROWER Michael was a pleasure to meet. His salon was clean and peaceful. . I was in town for a wedding and he gave me a great cut and blowout for a reasonable price. I highly recommend using him!

Karin Krasevac-Lenz Michael truly listens to his clients to discern best haircut and does an excellent job on styles for both women and men. Plus, very reasonable prices. Cant find a nicer guy to style your hair!

Julia Milos I cannot say enough good things about Vibe & specifically Jess and Skye! I have seen Jess for facials and it is absolutely my most favorite experience ever. The salon is beautiful and so cozy. I had Jess and and Skye do hair and makeup for my wedding day and my bridal party. My bridesmaids were raving all day about how incredible their hair and makeup turned out. I felt so beautiful and I cannot recommend the ladies at Vibe enough if you are looking for your wedding. One of the best decisions I made of my entire wedding! They are so talented and also just so incredible to be around!

L Sausville Kevin took care of me as a new client. He listened to what I wanted and looked at pictures of what I was aiming for as well as pictures that showed what I did not want. I was hoping for a low-maintenance style to help my long hair that grows out dead straight from the crown and is wavy everywhere else. Kevin was able to break up my hair, blending in subtle layers as he went. I waited a week before leaving a review to see how my hair looked when I wasnt just walking out of a salon. I still have movement and I am now able to coax a little curl out of the top layer myself with minimal effort. He suggested styling products without pushing me to buy anything from him. He seemed like an unassuming, nice guy who enjoys what he does. Im very happy.

Katje Benoit I was lucky enough to work with the Vibe Beauty Team for my wedding after my original hair & makeup artist canceled a few months before our wedding. If I could go back, I would have gone with the Vibe team from the start! Jess and Kevin were so incredible to work with, making me and my bridesmaids and mother in law feel so comfortable. I had never gotten my hair or makeup professionally done prior to my wedding, and Jess made me feel so beautiful with natural makeup where I felt like myself and Kevin did such an incredible job with my hair, I was so speechless! I cannot recommend the Vibe Beauty Team enough for wedding day hair and makeup services and I will definitely use them again for any future event needs!!

Jun Simons Best barbershop in upstate NY. I have long hair and I like a lot of texture and layers, and Ben always does a great job listening to what I want. They can do the trendy cuts, the classic cuts, or whatever you feel like trying Also the atmosphere is professional and clean, and its in a convenient spot for students in troy. I would be happy to drive well out of my way to get here

Jen Not only have I been waiting for a price jenna refused to respond back with a price I’ve had my consultation last week and she wrote the price on a sticky note then took the sticky note back and said her receptionist was going to send me a price and never did. I’ve been waiting since oct 10th for the price and shes refusing to give me one. Jenna is very unprofessional bad for business. I do not recommend you going To the salon, they are unprofessional here and rude. And Jenna just shrugs everything off. It makes it clear that she doesn’t care. Terrible place.

Kaila really gave an amazing consultation, gave really good feedback, was very open & honest about what was possible with my time frame and also what would look best on me! Kaila was incredibly sweet, friendly, welcoming, and above all , it gave me a safe space to chat, relax, and feel beautiful! She was upfront about pricing, expectations and she was also extremely gentle with how she not only handled my hair, my color and my haircut but was very open the entire time on what she was doing and what She felt comfortable doing, too!! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Kaila to anyone who asked me, and I am so excited to see her again soon, too! Kaila, you are awesome, and you should be so proud! ♡ This salon was gorgeous! From the staff members that were all total sweethearts to the atmosphere of the entire salon! Having complimentary snacks and drinks is such a caring, sweet touch to the customers, especially because hair appointments can take hours! I think my one only con is as a plus size woman myself, the chairs were not the most comfortable Ive ever sat in, I felt a little squished into it and felt I couldnt move around much, but other than that the salon was beautiful!

Angie I think that it was a pleasant environment and my daughter was pleased. I did feel a little blindsided because, I had called and asked how much and was told $20. When we got there I said my daughter would like her hair shampooed which took 2 minutes and at the end was told $35 because of shampoo and blowdry. You should have been more specific about change in price. $15 is a significant change. My daughter had a basic trim of a few inches off that took 10 minutes. I just felt overcharged. I understand you are there to make money, but if kids cuts cost $40 around here, thats tough on a lot of families.

Kel Amanda cut my hair and she did awesome! I needed probably 4-5 inches gone on fairly short notice and she not only fit me in same week, she gave me an awesome cut too. Everyone in the salon was incredibly nice and it was super reasonably priced, too. Absolutely will be returning, loved the experience!

Luna Northrup I have come here twice and I have nothing bad to say about it in the slightest bit. Everyone is super friendly who works here. The conversations that go on are super nice and mildly thought provoking which is always good. The pricing is not bad at all which is a huge bonus in my book. June is super sweet and caring and I personally love having Amanda trim my hair. I would recommend to other people as often as possible!

Daniel Rositano Good haircut for a good price. June, Amanda, and Lucretia have all treated me well here (though theyre always shocked to hear how much I want buzzed off). The place is homey and I appreciate the feeling that theyre not rushing to finish one client to get to the next, they take their time with you and make sure theyre giving you the cut you want. Bring example photos of what youre looking for and they can talk you through how they want to achieve your cut before starting.

LeAnne I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is calming and the ladies are wonderful. If you’re like me and want a more edgy hairstyle then Amanda is your girl 100%. She’s amazing!! I won’t go anywhere else now. She’s super polite, talented and just the best.

Durasia Anderson Eboni is great! Growing up as the child of a stylist makes it hard to find someone you trust with your hair. So my first few years of college I learned to do my own hair. But then I found Eboni at So Beautiful Hair Salon. The first time I went to Eboni was for a press and curl last August. She was and always is so kind and gentle (I am quite tender headed). She also takes great care of my very curly natural hair. The products she uses not only smell amazing but are handmade and makes my hair look and feel very soft and healthy!

Shayla Timmons I have absolutely loved working with Eboni for the past 9 months. When I first came to her my hair was suffering from stress and I was experiencing breakage at my hairline. But with her shampooing and detangling methods (I have 4C and fine hair and she is very gentle) as well as taking the time to make sure my scalp is clean and moisturized, hair has never looked better. Family and friends have noticed too! It feels/looks stronger and thicker. I am beyond happy with her services and she has a loyal customer in me.

Tremayne Souza Eboni is very welcoming and friendly, and, importantly, her hairstyling game is on point. Ive never been to a salon before to get my twists and havent let anyone touch my hair outside of my family. When I looked in the mirror when she was finished and saw how great my twists turned out, it felt like I never left home.

ruth candice she’s nice and friendly but did my hair incorrectly. I had crochet braids that were supposed to be a passion twist. after they were installed them, she was supposed to twist them again so they looked like passion twist. But she forgot to do that part and instead ran her fingers through my hair, making it look even more frizzy and nothing like it was supposed to. she took longer than average when I get my crochet braids done. and charged more I would’ve asked for a refund for not having the style done correctly, but there are no refunds.

Minimymo I normally see Mo, but I have seen everyone here. I’ve had many cuts and dyes and every time everything is perfect! They are good conversationalists as well as very talented hair stylists.

Bonnie Yerry In the past month, I went there for the first time and the hairdresser did an excellent job on my hair. She had it the right length that I wanted it and the style stood a great job. The other customers that were there getting hair eyes looks great awesome.

Krystal DiNovo Davidas is amazing! I called last minute for a cut and color. Vinnie fit me in. They were honest. What I wanted just wasnt going to work. The atmosphere was great. Davida and Vinnie were great! My hair was completely damaged and I walked out with a new cut and color and I absolutely love it! My hair is lighter with volume and more healthy. I wont be going anywhere else.

Elizabeth Rhymer Google asked if I used this business before I started to leave this review. Well, I TRIED to use this business. In Oct 2022 I emailed Davida using the "contact us" email address on the website saying that I just moved to Troy and wanted to try Davidas but had questions about appointment availability in November. I never heard back. I decided to try again in May 2023 and made an appointment online with Davida for 11:00. I arrived a few minutes early and Davida wasnt there. I waited until 11:10 and left the salon. The stylist who was there tried to text her but no response. Apparently when you make an online appointment, you can choose a day and a time, but its not confirmed until you get an email. I made another appointment after this to see what might have been the problem and saw this message. However... this is not how any other online scheduler works, so I didnt expect this, and also why wasnt my appointment confirmed? Or canceled? I decided against my better judgment to keep the 2nd appointment I made, especially because Davida called me to apologize. I got there about 5 minutes early and Davida wasnt there yet. She came in just in time for my appointment but there was another lady there ahead of me! Either she scheduled us both at 11:00 or she was late to the other persons appointment. Either way, she obviously has no respect for other peoples time and is not reliable. I guess other stylists are independent contractors? No mention of other options for stylists on the website, no information about them, and no way to book with them, only Davida. I guess calling is the way to go (but why have the online booking then??) Maybe she would have done an awesome job, but Ill never know. 3 strikes and youre out. Leaving 3 stars out of extreme generosity and benefit of the doubt.
