Armenia Ruiz My experience with Dr. Chen was worth well below one star. My personal needs were ignored, Dr. Chen entered the room with misconceived preconceptions about who I was, what my needs are, and my ability to understand what he was saying. He lacked professionalism, he proceeded with intimidating and dismissive tactics that were unethical and bias, and despite my visual discomfort he continued very unprofessionally and forcefully. I became discouraged and shut down, avoiding eye contact and when I did not respond according to how he desired with eye contact, even after reminding and assuring him I was listening to me, he became very dismissive and rude. My experience with Dr. Chen was cringe worthy, undeserving, and traumatic. I will not be returning to this medical facility. As a patient I should never had had to endure unprofessional and unethical behavior such as this from a medical professional in whom I am expected to trust and feel has my best interest in his mind. I have been to practices with more patience, understanding, empathy, and compassion that host providers with the professional ability and training to proceed professionally and encompass the values of being a healthcare provider. I hope no one else has to ever endure what I had to endure during my visit. His lack of empathy, compassion, and professionalism should be reviewed thoroughly to determine if he is the right fit for this practice.

Judy Barth Staff always efficient and polite. Dr Murphy is thorough and easy to talk to with ones concerns. He carefully explain things so you understand them. Genuinely interested in how you are progressing. A great experience as of you are there you are going through scary times.

Vikki Raniolo Dr. Neal Murphy was extremely relaxed and put me at ease. He was unbelievably thorough! He reviewed & discussed ALL my medical records from 2016 to the present. He gave attention to every detail. I was totally amazed. Even when I could not remember the name of some of my doctors in the past, he was able to figure it out for me! He listened to me and all my concerns and treated me like an intelligent human being. At NO point did he interrupt or cut me off as if what I was saying wasnt important to the situation. What a very VERY nice man, and a doctor that makes you feel human! His concern for me, my feelings and how I was doing both physically & emotionally was not fake. Jenna Geiser My first visit to Dr. Sinha was for a physical issue from a chronic condition. She was supportive and helpful and got me the care I needed. I loved the experience. However, I recently went to her for advice on mental health treatment, and now I feel so hurt and betrayed. She tried to push me into visiting or checking into a facility immediately (I was not experiencing any immediate symptoms to warrant that action - I explained repeatedly that in the past I had experienced extreme emergency symptoms, I was getting treatment and they had improved, but now I felt like my conditions were starting to worsen again which was why I was there for guidance on what I should do next for my care). She called the police without informing me or asking for my consent, so they could convince me to go to a facility on her behalf. I suffered an anxiety attack from the shock of her choice and suddenly having to explain my personal medical situation to people I did not know. My apparent distress made everyone pressure me more to get a level of treatment that seemed extreme. I told her this wasnt helping me, it was hurting me. She didnt even say goodbye or check in on me after the officers realized there was no reason to detain me like this and finally left. I feel so betrayed. I wont return to the office again. I have never had a care provider break my heart this way.

Joan Horn Initial visit with Dr. Sinha went very well. A thorough medical history was taken. My reason for the visit was readily addressed. Prescriptions ordered with instructions. Dr. Sinha clearly explained what to expect from the prescribed treatment. There is a lab on site for tests if needed. Comfortable setting and friendly staff.

Sheila Cumberbatch Dr Seodat has been my doctor for years. Just about 34 years 36 years that I have been here. I am truly gonna miss him. He was the best. Dr. Sinha was great for the first time meeting her! She seem very caring and thorough. I can truly appreciate that. I also love the way she explains things after you give her your issues. She takes the time to listen and set you up to get thorough checked out on what ever your issues may be. For us that have her as our primary doctor, could possibly be our God sent Angel. adrienne brown By far one of the best doctors I couldve hoped for. Dr. Safier started treating my daughter approximately 1 year ago. When we went to him, my daughter suffered with terrible allergies that triggered asthma attacks. She would have to go to the hospital sometimes multiple times during the year. Since being under Dr. Safiers care, she has gone from multiple attacks and hospital visits, to no attacks and zero hospital visits. Dr. Safier put an action plan together that was very thorough, it covered every possible scenario. Both he and his staff made sure I understood my daughters treatment and how to provide at home care along the way. Awesome doctor, definitely reccomend!

Ronald Fisher I can’t say enough good things about Carline in the Riverhead Lab. She is gentle, compassionate, capable, and thorough. I know everything is going to be neat and organized when I see her. My doctor didn’t fax my blood work script. Instead of turning me away, she spoke with the on-call physician on a Saturday who read off the labs so I didn’t have to come back. Carline is one of the most exemplary phlebotomists that I have come across at Northwell.

During my first visit, she reviewed my entire history, drew more than 25 vials of blood, and scheduled a follow up appointment for me in 3 weeks to discuss the results and review the course of treatment she recommends based on the Lab results. I highly recommend Dr Sharma as well as the entire staff at the Riverhead office.

Don Bracken Dr Avvento is the best. Hes always looking for the best treatments he can find for the individual. He has been my guy for 19 years and I consider him a good friend too. Hes kept my brother in law alive for almost 20 years with a type of cancer that is hard to fight.

Audrey Hausig, MMT, MT-BC Dr. Avvento caused my father undue pain and suffering. Despite being his doctor for many years, when my father was diagnosed with nodules throughout his organs, Avvento told him not to worry. He delayed the CT scan and then delayed the biopsy. He agreed to do a virtual appointment to read the results and then delayed it by hours and only did a phone call when we threatened legal action. He ordered chemotherapy with a high risk for bleeding despite my father having extremely low platelets (something which Avvento had treated him for for over 10 years). Throughout this process, despite my father clearly having metastatic pancreatic cancer, he refused to give him a clear prognosis and when pressed repeatedly he finally said 3-6 months, when it was in fact just over a week. This cowardly refusal to speak honestly and frankly made things much more difficult than they already were. The continued delaying of appointments and procedures was agonizing. If this man is unable to have tough conversations, he probably shouldnt be working in oncology. People who are dying deserve the dignity of the truth, even if it makes the doctor uncomfortable. His office was often unwilling to talk to my brother and I despite our legal medical proxy status. He did not order the full biopsy tests he should have and had to go back and retest for us to know genetic information. I recommend getting out from his care immediately and know that if he orders test, you are stuck with him until he chooses to read results (which will happen late and inaccurately) because other doctors are not allowed to share results.

Leggard Vanessa Dr. Verona Young, takes the time to listen and discuss what your problems are, she is very through and took the time to explain my blood test results. Staff is very friendly and professional. I really appreciate the technology aspect with the patient portal. I love having all of my doctors on the same network, they talk to each other and my overall health and wellness are better. My only issue is that the follow up has to be initiated by me. I find that although they are really quick with putting my results in my patient portal which is greatly appreciated they often lack follow-up. Most of the results are super easy to decipher when reviewing on the portal, they need to be explained by a professional and I have found that I have had to request a follow up visit instead of the office reaching out to schedule a phone call with the physician or the physician adding a note in my portal to say all is good or please call the office to schedule a follow-up to discuss your results. I have found this to be an ongoing concern.

I have one suggestion for this office though(Riverhead).. since there are so many different types of doctors here, there REALLY should be a side dedicated to NON SICK visits like bloodwork etc... and a side for Sick visits. Theres no reason why I should have to sit next to a sick person/child when I am just getting bloodwork and potentially bring something home to my family.

Martha Cole Dr. Kitt was my and my husbands doctor for a few years and then my son & future daughter-in-law, and grandson started seeing her, too. We were all very impressed with her. I found her to be a very caring person who gave you enough time when you were in her office. She listened to what you had to say, and worked very closely with you. I envy all the folks who are lucky enough to have her for their doctor. I wish she was down here in South Carolina, where I am located now. I miss her.

Lisa Douglas-Aubé I decided to try this urgent care in my home town when sick last week. First problem: online said wait time was 5-10 mins. Got there and it was over 30 mins wait time. (Only takes 5 mins from my home). Saw the doctor who told me my diagnosis and said he would give me a work note and prescriptions. Second problem: never asked or verified if I had any issues with the prescriptions given. Third problem: never got a work note. Have made 5 attempts (2 online, 2 phone calls and one in person) to get a simple note excusing me from work due to the flu. Should not have to work this hard for a medical excuse note when I was seen in the office. Will not be going back there. Will take my chances driving to Manorville for the PBMC Urgent Care.

Kristen Goetz I want to give ZERO ⭐️. They dont care about you. I went there no one in waiting room and still waited over half hour to be seen. I finally get inside nurse does there thing sends in doctor.... doctors does nothing but walk in the room and say will prescribe medication that will help my symptoms. I was still sick for weeks. I was not diagnosed correctly at all. They dont take you seriously. And the people at the front desk dont want to be bothered with anything except taking your money. I had to ask multiple times for a doctors note for work but all the note would say is I can work long as I dont have a fever. So had to work and I lost my job!! I was not ok to work!!

Dara Santoro CityMD was the second urgent care I went to, as I primarily live in Orange County, NY. Staff was very friendly and the provider I saw was excellent. I believe she saved me from pneumonia. I highly recommend the CityMD group of Riverhead. I wish there was one in Orange County.

Phoenix RedHawk If I could give zero Stars I would. I arrived there around 4:00. Friday December 13th. I was wheezing and coughing and throwing up. I was not given a chest x-ray. I have been in the medical field in excess of 35 years from ear, nose and throat to cardiology to family practice, etc. Symptoms were used as my diagnosis by the physicians assistant and additionally I was given the incorrect medication. I became so ill from not being treated for the right diagnosis or with the right medication that here it is December 27th and I am still home from work. Thankfully I went to a different walk-in on Christmas day was treated professionally, compassionately. My vitals were taken and x-ray was taken. Everyone at northwell near Walmart in this facility was professional. I am so grateful to finally be getting better due to the Northwell team. All courteous and seemed happy to be working on Christmas to help people. From what I have seen past at City, MD, including my own troubling issues with misdiagnosis and incorrect medication, I will not be referring anyone to City, MD. Id rather go to anywhere else.

Bonnie Kessinger I had been using this office for years but as the larger organization grows the rules and policies are hard to navigate. I unfortunately suffer with periodic ear infections. The doctor at ENT and Allergy directed me to call his office to be seen instead of going to urgent care to ensure that I am given the right recommendations. The offices never have openings though! Now I was given a next day option in a location far away from me. I accepted and rearranged my whole day to attend but due to traffic was 15 minutes late. The office would be open for another 2 hours but they said I was too late to be accommodated. They refused to see me and told me to go to the Emergency room instead. I have been a patient for years and have often waited long periods of time for my appointment but today they would not have the courtesy to help me. I’ll never be using this practice again.

Eileen Mackey I saw an audiologist and Dr. Braat yesterday. The hearing exam was thorough and professional, and I was able to get a copy of my report. Dr. Braat was knowledgeable and professional, as usual, and prescribed a medication that has a comforting 90% rate of success for my condition after listening to my complaint. I took off one star because of the wait time. My appointment was at 3, and I wasn’t called in until almost 4, which is unusual for this practice. Also, I’m not sure why, but I had to make a separate appointment to look at their hearing aids.
