Elvin Soto My wife sally has been going to Dennis her stylist for 25 years and will never go to any other stylist highly recommend this salon.

Georgie Jones Paid $200 + tip for the most badly done highlights Ive had in 8 years. I was told someone would call me back when I got in touch for them to fix the situation, but was ghosted. Blotchy, badly placed fluorescent strands, and a bleached spot right in the front are just some of the obvious issues. I knew something was up during the appointment when the woman doing my hair had to continuously consult with two other stylists on what to do and eventually brought in another woman to mix a toner shade for her to help rectify things. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, I waited a week and did a couple of washes hoping things would settle, but no luck. Was also hopeful that they would do the right thing and intervene to fix the issues after I called. Save your $$ and go elsewhere.

Gradjola Rucini Had my hair done by Bianca. I had a groupon for highlights and haircut. Instead of the haircut I got the toner and the blowout. The staff is nice and warm but the results aren’t as high as usual might want.

Andi Hazoury I have been coming here for years and I still love it. They have always been professional, thoughtful and very good at what they do. Angela is who I go to when she is available. She is a special and lovely woman that knows how to treat and blowout difficult frizzy hair! But truly they are all very good. Irina the owner is very considerate and makes sure you are taken care of no matter what service you are doing. I highly recommend them!

The salon is up to date, clean and operated by such friendly people. The first time I went I had Oksana and have requested her each time since. My last haircut was especially the best haircut to date. Oksana is a perfectionist who will take her time to make sure your haircut is exactly how you want it, perfectly even and blended. Oksana even stayed significantly past closing to finish and make sure I leave with the best haircut possible. I am beyond grateful to have found this place and will continue to come!

My fiancé gifted me a gift certificate to Hair Decor and recommended me to get my haircut with Arthur. Everyone at Hair Decor is so nice and have wonderful personalities. I enjoyed the hair wash experience because she was super gentle on my scalp and no water got in my ears!! Arthur took the time to find out what look I was looking for and he accomplished it! The way he cuts hair is gentle and he was not aggressive with my head/neck. I’m so happy with my new style for 2023.

Nicole Lee I chose Hair Decor after the stylist I was seeing at Red Chair Studio messed up my hairstyle. Inessa has been helping me ‘rehab’ my hair and get it back to what I wanted it to look like. It’s taken over 4 months, but she’s done such a nice job. I appreciate the level of care and attention she provides for each haircut. I get a simple number 1 buzz around the sides of my head and she takes the time to do a thorough job every time. I trust her taste and her judgment and I’m glad I made the right choice. The studio itself is very clean and inviting. They have all of the equipment and products you expect of a quality hair salon. The staff are professional and welcoming. I am always greeted pleasantly. As a queer person, it has sometimes felt awkward to ask for what is traditionally a man’s haircut. But I’ve never been made to feel unusual or unwelcome at Hair Decor. They also charge me for a men’s buzz, which is accurate and fair.

Blaine Ashley I just had the most odd experience at Wind Hair Salon. I usually go to another salon on the block but tried them first last week when my usual salon was closed for the Chinese new year. I had a pleasurable experience the first time so thought I’d go again. I especially loved the wash and massage but this time was so odd. First - the owner thought I was someone else who owed him $ and I reminded him of who I was. Then - I proceeded to show him a picture of how I liked my hair done. I get my hair blow dried / styled very often due to my line of work. And have for a long time. My hair is difficult - fine and a lot of it. But he kept telling me it was too short to be curled. Yet, I get loose curls all the time. It’s 2 inches past my shoulders. A pieced wave / loose curl works for all hair lengths. And the way he was pulling my hair made it feel like pieces were being broken. The whole process took way too long. I left SUPER unhappy yet they charged me full price knowing it was not good. I did not tip because they charged more than last time even. I ended up walking straight to my other salon to get them to fix it. I’m also very confused by the smell in there. The first time I assumed they just had lunch but this time - the smell was looming. My hair smells like it. Just not ideal all around. I feel really bad posting this but also feel like this is a place for mostly men and cuts and a specific type of hair that’s definitely not mine : (

Clint Borzoni Reina gave me the best haircut of my life. I told her what issues I had with my previous haircuts, and she was great at listening and understood the assignment. She was very detailed oriented and made all the right cuts. Most stylists want to cut too much off, but she did the perfect amount. The salon is lovely too, with friendly a front desk, and shampoo assistants. I highly recommended!!

Joannah Denise I finally found a salon that knows how to care for my coily curls! They do it all here - blowouts/silk press, wash and go, color, cut, braids…whatever you need! My experience was awesome from start to finish. I arrived a few minutes early and they promptly started with my service while talking me through the entire process. Conveniently located less than 10 minutes from my office, Hair Rules is now my go to hair salon. The salon space is clean and modern, the staff is personable and professional, and the service that I received - TOP NOTCH! Hair Rule was referred to me and I highly recommend them for your hair care needs!

Purplediamonds3456 I scheduled a blow dry and silk press hair appointment with Mr. Anthony Dickey and he is a wonderful hairstylist. He gave all the helpful information on what hair products work for my type 4 hair and he also gave me helpful advice on how to take care of my hair. He did a marvelous job styling my silk press and used excellent hair products that kept my hair healthy from the shampoo to heat protectant products. I would highly recommend Hair Rules Salon to family and friends.

Sierra Q I had an awesome experience learning from Mr. Dickey and Michelle! My hair was in desperate need of a good trim and I got exactly what I came for. The shape looks great and I have steps to take to get to my desired goals. It was cool to see the salon staff work as a well oiled machine- they are super organized! Valerie Gunter I had a great experience at Hair Rules. Dickey is a master hair professional. He possesses expert knowledge of black hair care and enthusiastically educates his clients on how to care for their hair. I loved my haircut and wash n’ go when he finished my hair, however I waited a few days to give this review because I wanted to see if what he taught really works and is practical to do at home. The answer is “absolutely 100%”. My curls/coils look better than ever. Lety, his assistant, was wonderful also. Dickey and team are committed to professionalism, cleanliness, and great customer service. I will definitely return for haircuts and other services.

She is super friendly, shares lots of hair advice, and even makes me a tea while I wait. The blowout looks really nice and lasts a few days. Glad to be a regular.

Britney Rosette I had my Silk Touch Keratin done with Alla and it was amazing. My hair was sleek straight & smooth. Not sure why people leave reviews saying they’re surprised hearing about additional fees for length & thickness when it’s clearly stated on the website. I definitely recommend Hair Bar for their customer service and care!

Tiffany Chester I had Senait and she did my hair absolutely amazing. She gave me layers and face framing and she knew exactly what would look good. I love the curls and my hair looks healthier and better than ever!

Ariana Williams Senait Schlage is the best stylist! She does an excellent job with my Keratin treatments and her blowouts are the best. She will work with you on the best plan for your hair moving forward too. Go see her! You’ll be looking and feeling like a million bucks!

Casting Prodcuer I would absolutely not get a keratin done again here. I was influenced by tik tok to come, the service was fine. BUT it is advertised as about $119-150 for the keratin. When they sit you down they make you take a questionnaire and said I had LONG and thick hair (mind you i have very fine shorter hair, about shoulder length) and they charged me an extra $80 for this. They will do this to you as well. So I ended up paying $250 with tip and overall its a very unprofessional environment. I also see no change in my hair and it does lift 3 levels of color (they did tell me this) so just make sure you know that :)

Martyna Chrzanowska Super overpriced for what it is. The owner tried (unsuccessfully) to charge me more because I came in with long hair even though I wanted it cut in a ponytail for donation. I spent almost a $100 (even with a groupon) for a haircut that should’ve cost $25. The blowout was rushed and bad. The stylist herself did a good job on the cut but the experience was quick and not the luxurious experience I expected.

Paula LaCagnina I finally found a salon that I love! I have been coming here for almost a year now and Yona, who is an extremely talented stylist cuts my hair and he always does a wonderful job! I always leave the salon very happy with my cut.

dg27 Pearl Salon is a great multi-service salon catering to both men and women. They offer a wide array of services and though I only opted for a cut, the price and service were both outstanding. Its in a great location thats close to east side subways and buses, but on a charming stretch of East 60th Street, which is dotted with many antique shops (plus Serendipity). Another plus is that they are open on Mondays (many salons are traditionally closed on that day). The haircutter I had was Irina, who has many years experience as both both a haircutter and a highly regarded Manhattan colorist. She clearly puts the preferences of the customer ahead of all other concerns. Pearl is definitely worth a visit; I know Ill be a regular.

Crist Stilianos Isaac does fantastic work. I initially started going to Isaac Salon a few months ago; after my first cut I was thoroughly impressed and I havent gone anywhere else since then. By far the best cut and blow dry I have experienced in the city. Isaac listens to what you want done and delivers every time. The salon is tucked away a block from Bloomies- well worth it!

Katie Wright I went for the first time to have a haircut, blowout & deep conditioning treatment and LOVED the way my hair was done. I would definitely go back and recommend Yona :) My hair is rather curly and I have yet to meet anyone who is able to straighten it without mostly using a flat iron and he was able to!
