Sarah Washington I’ve officially stop coming here after being a customer for approximately 14 years. This salon has not been the same since Melanie left. They only cater to the Hispanic community and treat them extra friendly; meanwhile, all black customers get is overcharged and heat damage to their hair because the dryer is on the highest setting burning your hair. Dori, the owner of the salon is very kind and I have never had a negative encounter with her. The two woman that work at this establishment daily act one way when Dori is in the building and a whole other when she is not present.

Tory Robinson I went to Doris for years and I always revive the hair style I want

sloane moses First time customer at establishment, they have poor business practices. The prices change for different people. My daughter has shoulder length hair was told $45 fir wash conditioner and blow then charged $55. I can’t argue about a what a business charges, but watching them changes prices for their sub par service was a turn off. If they did an excellent job, I wouldn’t be wasting my time to review. However, the service was poor, and with a blow my daughters hair lacked the body and bounce. They suck! Only people who go here have been going there for years because they don’t want to travel for quality service.

Angela Zeolla Castellano Great place for a haircut, color or styling. No frills - just professional and friendly people. Thank you for doing my grandmother’s hair for my wedding, too! Highly recommend. Great prices that won’t break the bank like some other salons. They take walk-ins too which is great.

Hanson Heather [Missy] (The One Yeshua Loves) Patient and treat African American Hair well however they charge extra for natural hair. $35. I think that is unfair because most Latinos that come there have natural hair too and they are charged less. However they definitely give you a top quality job and excellent customer service so it was money well spent. The owner Doris did my hair and did a magnificent job and trimmed my dry ends very nicely and not too short. Very professional and clean environment.

Nnennaya Walker I don’t usually write reviews but I feel as though this is necessary. I went in last weekend for a lift and color correction and left with tears streaming down my face. When Stephanie Vega began working on my hair, I asked if I would have time get a gel manicure and pedicure and the hairstylist said “yes! of course” underestimating the time she would take on my hair. The nail tech began taking off my gel pedicure that was still in very good condition and I was left in slippers for a few hours. Long story short, I did not have any down time to get my gel pedicure done and I was left with unfinished work. As for my hair, the hair stylist began bleaching my hair without doing a test strand first. Once she finished bleaching my hair, she touched up the roots, and washed my hair. Then, proceeded by adding a toner and washing my hair one last time. My hair was ready for styling and the hair stylist said it was absolutely necessary for me to cut my hair so she chopped off 3 inches. She then proceeds to by blowdrying my hair. Once she finishes, she starts adding her finishing touches of hair products and states she is done. I took one look at the mirror and immediately started crying hysterically at how terrible my hair came out. My roots were curly, hair frizzy, hair cut very choppy, and an uneven tone and blotchiness to my hair. In exchange, the hair stylist offered me a shot of alcohol… I ended up doing my own hair at the salon and having to use a brown box dye on my hair the following day. My experience was horrific.. For a hairstylist who went to school for this, you should know your limits. 3 weeks later… I was contacted by the owner and was told in exchange for deleting this post, Michelle would do my hair personally as she has 40 years of experience. Customer satisfaction is not their top priority. There is always good and bad when running a business, the bad shouldn’t be swept under the rug. I hope this post can help those who are looking to go to the best salon. I have since then done my hair elsewhere.

Andrea Sanchez When I came to synergy it was actually my first time ever coloring my hair!! I was so nervous at the beginning but right from the consultation I knew I was in good hands! Michelle is so sweet and I could easily tell not only does she deeply care about her work but she loves what she does, and it’s because of that passion that her work is impeccable!! The staff was so sweet as well, very kind and welcoming!! I definitely will be returning and I highly recommend synergy ❤️

Jenna H Michelle has been my hairstylist for the past 20 years. If I ever want to change my color or hairstyle she is always ready with some great ideas that I love every time and I always get complimented for. I live in Manhattan and come to White Plains just to get my haircut. Stephanie, Trisha, Michelle and Lindsey are always friendly when I come and make me feel very welcome. Stephanie did my nails and they looked great. I would recommend every one of their services to anyone who wants to come out looking beautiful with great service and a lot personal attention.

Meghan Mertens I went to Synergy to get a blow out and my makeup done for a wedding I was attending later the same day. I showed the stylist (Vega) a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it! I was so happy with how bouncy and beautiful my hair came out too. I received so many compliments on my look from other wedding guests and my husband couldn’t stop saying how good I looked. The appointment flew by, it was so much fun chatting with Vega (she’s an absolutely wonderful person, strongly recommend making an appointment with her.)

Haley Baron I had a great experience with Melissa at La Isabella salon. It was my first time getting a curly cut so I was a bit nervous but Melissa made the process super simple by talking me through everything from products to her technique. She was super sweet and made me feel comfortable while in her chair. I love my cut and the styling. I will definitely be going back to keep my shape up.

Joan Dinowitz I booked a curly haircut appt online with Melissa (owner) hoping she could fix my unruly nest. I’m not that focused on my hair and wear it in a pony tail most of the time but I thought as a fully adult woman I should have a proper cut. (Also, if you see my other reviews I’d had a bad experience recently) Melissa exceeded expectations. My curls look healthy & bouncy and free from frizz and heaviness. This is probably the best single haircut I can remember. FYI I love what Melissa created so much that I haven’t worn a pony tail even once since I left La Isabella Salon a week ago! Bonus: no waiting , COVID safety A+, no hard sell for products. I will not be going anywhere else from now on.

Tamara Green Disappointing Experience - Consistently Late and Unprofessional. I have given Milissa of La Isabella Hair Salon three chances to improve, but unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently negative. Milissa is notoriously late for appointments, often leaving clients waiting without any updates. When asked about the delays, she snaps at customers and fails to address the issue professionally. On my last visit, Milissa rushed through my haircut in just 5 minutes, and it was clear she didnt take the time to check her work. The curly style blow dry was a joke. She gummed up my hair with a ton of product and through me under the hooded hair dryer. The final result was awful... uneven and far from the quality that I expect for the prices she chargest. In fact, I had to rewash and style my hair when I arrived home. Additionally, Milissa frequently double and triple books herself, leading to an overcrowded and chaotic salon environment. This lack of organization only adds to the overall frustration. I cannot recommend Milissa or this salon to anyone seeking a reliable and professional hair care experience. Dont waste your precious time or money.

Jasmyn Torres After driving an hour to get to the salon, I was told upon arrival that Melissa was on her way. Forty minutes later, I was informed she wasnt coming in at all, despite receiving a confirmation email the day before. While I understand that emergencies happen, clients should be notified of cancellations in advance. I used to love the haircuts Melissa gave me, but I can no longer recommend this salon. It’s nearly impossible to get in contact with them via phone or email.

Sandra Agudelo So disappointed with this salon. I went there to get a hair dye and cut and in between the hair stylist had 3 customers she was waiting on back to back. My hair dye came out good but the hair cut was not of good quality. The haircut was not all uneven. If that wasn’t bad enough the stylist also left me with scissor marks and razor mark in the back of my neck and when I got home and looked at the back of my hair I noticed the marks. I proceeded to call the owner of the salon to make her aware of my dissatisfaction of the haircut I received and to complain of the neck marks left by the hairstylist Meredith. I never received a call back. I will Never go back.

Yessenia Almonte The only reason I gave this a 2 star is because the lady in the front is very nice. This is the first time I’ve gotten my hair done that I came out like an amateur did my hair. My hair was blown out so bad that some parts of my hair were not even blow dry? I had a wedding to go to that night and I had to redo my entire hair. Never again. 70 dollars down the drain.

Stephanie Paute HORRIBLE DONT COME HERE THEY MESSED UP MY HAIR AND CHARGED ME $160 THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO NOT COME HERE! The man that did my hair obviously didn’t know what he was doing and was really defensive about his work and made me and my cousin feel like we were dumb and that we didn’t know what we were talking about when it came to hair. I came for copper hair all over and this isn’t it. This is ridiculous and I went somewhere else to fix his mistake.

Leette Eaton-White The nail salon portion if the business is inconsistent at best. The first time I went here the service was good. Simple gel manicure. The second time I requested tips using SNS dip color. The first and biggest issue by far was a lack of professional skill and courtesy by the manicurist who was not licensed . My middle finger nails were not the same width or length and my ring fingers nails were both applied crooked. I had to make multiple requests to fix the crooked nails, and she never fixed the width or length issues of the middle fingers. My requests were rudely ignored. I also requested long nails which wasnt done because they insisted on a up-charge for the service on top of the $50 already being requested. That price is only reasonable from a skilled licensed manicurist; not someone clearly still in training. Only two manicurists had licenses displayed and neither were present on the date of my service 7/14/21. The smaller issue was a lack of color selection for gel or dip color; and a clear lack of supplies (one girl searched for a dip color similar to what I selected for over 20 mins, but because it wasnt what I selected I settled on white.) Finally word to the wise, although they foolishly have no signage here; it is CASH ONLY for the nail salon portion and they dont inform customers until after the fact, one lady was forced to go to the bank after her service was completed to pull cash from an ATM: not the right way to do business.

Dee Bonilla This salon is the best of both worlds small town treatments with big city service. Its family owned, so you get that love and five-star treatment from a family owned business. The staff is professional and really works hard at making sure that you are comfortable and happy with the service. You get a complimentary conditioning treatment with your highlights, so its a great time to add a manicure and pedicure to your schedule when you make your appointment. If youre looking for a salon that remembers you by name and works hard to ensure that you are happy with your service, then this is the place for you! I have level 1 hair, and I walk out with highlights that match my greys. This is no small accomplishment as a former hairdresser, I understand how difficult my service is, and I always walk out happy. Stop by have a service or two with your cup of coffee and tell them Odily sent you.

Monica You won’t see me at another salon after my visit to Salon Neljou!! ♥️ I had a last minute hair emergency for an event later that night and as we are new to the area, we were looking all over for a hair salon that could accommodate me that afternoon, to no avail until I called Salon Neljou. Gina came to the rescue, and to the salon we went. Their facility is well-kept, clean, and accommodates a LOT of people within. Haden then worked absolute magic on my hair with perfectly-set curls that not only framed my face so well, but also later fell even more naturally by the time of our event a couple hours later. Like everyone else at the salon, Haiden was super friendly and warm!! Because my hair is very thick, very heavy, and coarse, I was a bit anxious about the longevity of my styling. He knew just what to do to make sure my curls stayed, didn’t frizz, and brought me tons of compliments from everyone in attendance at the event :) Don’t sleep on Salon Neljou - you won’t regret it one bit!!

Kathy Fusca I went to this salon to try out their blow outs. I got a wash and set, but i brought my own hair products. Overall all they did a great job. Anna the owner did my blow out. She did not use a flat iron which i loved! Great place for a wash and set with a great price. I will be going back soon.

Ashley J I love this salon! I notice first timers and those less assertive tend to be nervous. It always helps to call ahead so you can go first, but you learn how to work your way around the salon over time. Another tip, If you are very sensitive to heat, let them know ahead of time, so they can place you with someone who is prepared to go easy. This is the only salon I go to after a long search this is definitely the best salon in White Plains.

Leyla Lopez The lady that cut my daughters hair was nice and she did a good job but the owner was rude from the moment we walked in. As soon as we walked in the owner didnt even greet us, she was just so rude to us like if we were wasting her time.I had called earlier in the day and said I would be there around 5 to take my daughter for a haircut. We got there at 5:10, they close at 6 so as soon as we walk in the owner says the other lady can cut my daughters hair but no wash and dry only cut. We got there at 5:10, they had more than enough time to wash, cut and dry my daughters hair since they were not closing for 50 min. I said fine I understand you are closing just cut it. I decided to stay for the cut because I didnt have time to go elsewhere. I should have walked right out, the way the owner kept staring at us. At the end she charged me $25 for the cut without even drying or washing. I handed her the money and she didnt even say thank you or thanks for coming or even goodbye. She was so rude! She will never get any money from me ever again. I rather spend more at a salon where the owner is at least a professional and knows how to treat her customers. I dont understand how a business owner can be so rude and unprofessional!

Kimberly While this business can do a really good relaxer. They are horrible at trimming hair. The stylish told me that I just needed a "little" trim. She ended up trimming off almost 2 inches of hair. I had grown out my hair so well and now i can show any proof of that cause the stylist just hacked it off. Dont go to this place for a trim. Im very disappointed.

Soni Earle We went to have our hair done and it seemed as though because we were not with an adult they were taking several people ahead of us. People came in after us and left before us. I spoke to the owner and she claims everyone came in at the same time which is definitely not the case. Tell me when is the last time you spent over 5 hours in a Dominican hair salon. Especially when you arrive early in the morning. I’m very disappointed as I have been coming to Ana’s for many years.

Caridad Garcia Pricey for inexperienced hair coloring & hairstyling service. I went there to get a root touch up…what a mismatch of colors on my hair. I will need to go somewhere else to get it redone. I was also left under the hairdryer for a long time. She forgot about me because she got busy with others that came after me. I had an appointment but it didn’t seem to matter. My first & definitely my last time there! Your choice but I do not recommend this hair salon.

Fancy M Beware of this salon. I went to Maria for a wash and set for weeks and noticed my hair started to thin out. I stopped going and started washing my own hair due to this. It has been weeks and I feel as though it is now getting strong again due to home care. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
