Kiara Ramos I recently had my baby 9-24-24 at this hospital. At first I was scared because of all the negative reviews HOWEVER I’m very happy with my decision with the nurses and labor and delivery team. They answered my call button quickly the nurses were very friendly and helpful they made sure that me and my baby boy were taken very good care of. I had my own private room with free T.V. The food was very delicious and had flavor.upon discharge I was given a free diaper bag filled with baby Essentials and postpartum care plus not to mention a free beautifully made fruit basket filled with cakes and fruit. I would most definitely come back here again and I highly recommend the labor and delivery unit . Thank you St.Barnabas for your excellent service !!

Tiffany Derroches if you have a real medical emergency that needs immediate care DO NOT COME HERE!!! for the sake of your own life if you value it, please don’t come here. my biggest regret was coming here when i was experiencing a severe asthma attack/anaphylactic shock. i have never cried so much & the lack of urgency and communication and care in my life. the initial resident doctor who interviewed me to gather information was pleasant but literally everything she said they were going to do such as take covid rsv flu test and xray to check for pneumonia they didn’t do until i had to continuously ask. while i was sitting in this filthy deplorable emergency room (check photo) just absolutely disgusting filthy walls filthy bathroom just literally will make you sick sitting there. anyway, while i was sitting there i started to experience anaphylactic shock, i had came in through EMS and had administered my own epipen in my house but by this time it was wearing off. i know my body well enough to know when im about to go into shock. i tell my nurse i need another epipen and by pass machine. she says wait let me give you nebulizer treatment and get your doctor. i already know that time is of the essence. my throat is literally closing up and I CANNOT BREATHE. the doctor comes and says oh let’s just see if the nebulizer works give it one or two minutes. i’m trying my best not to panic because that only causes you lose more breathe but i’m trying to explain to them the machine isn’t working my throat is closing by the second PLEASE HELP. now the doctor is looking for a bed, i didn’t need a bed i needed an epipen ASAP. i kept saying epipen epipen. she then tries with another asian doctor to set up the by pass machine and i’ve never seen two doctors not know how to set up the machine and load it up to work im still sitting there gasping for air and they’re two doctors struggling to get the machine one and working like i literally felt like this is it. my life is over with. by the time i got on the by pass machine it barely was working and they finally stabbed me with the epipen. when i finally did get some what stabilized the next day i asked to speak to a doctor she was literally sitting in front of me and said she was going to come and she never did until she was giving her report to the next shift to introduce the new doctor. there are a few decent nurses here but aside from that it’s horrible. the entire time i had no clue what was going on with me. i had beg and wait for hours for results for a test to the point i had to ask someone who wasn’t a nurse or doctor to look up my chart and tell me. i was told on saturday i was being admitted to ICU it is Monday and im still in an over crowded ER. no food , have to beg for whatever, everyone on top of each other. again emphasis on how filthy and deplorable this place is just dirt every single place you turn. i didn’t yell i didn’t nag i didn’t act belligerent the entire time i was here. i spoke softly i waited patiently ; they probably wouldn’t expect this type of review from me because i didn’t even complain once. but the way i want this place shut down and inspected is real. disgusting staff disgusting everything! JUST PLEASE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND HAVE A REAL MEDICAL EMERGENCY DO NOT COME HERE!

Clara Bryant The absolute worst hospital ever! I’m not understanding why the just allow anyone in there to “work”. The staff is rude as can be. The air quality is awful! No privacy… I knew the lady next to me needed some drug to sleep. I was in the ER with no separation meanwhile the person literally next to me coughing and regurgitating and hollering… they had no linen… the “beds” are made for short people. I’m 5”3 and my feet were dangling off the bed. Mind you I was having leg pains. I am on blood thinners and asked for crackers and they didn’t have anything to put on my stomach to take my pills but wanted to give me Tylenol after I told them I had nothing to eat. I’m not sure why HPD is not in there giving violations with all that peeling paint on the walls. It’s dirty and hot. The staff working around there coughing, they talk too much to each other! They even lied on my paperwork and said they took my temp and did not. They did not do anything about my concerns or my reason being there. Oh and dead roaches were in the lights! Like really I only gave them one star because I was able to leave alive. They deserve no stars and whomever governs this facility needs to be fired immediately! I highly do not recommend. Go there at your own risk but you have been warned. I wouldn’t take a rat off the street there for help. Even they deserve better. Revamp or close down. Our neighborhood deserves BETTER!

Anna Barcene This place deserves zero stars.
Unethical and Unempathetic Care
This hospital operates in a completely unethical, unempathetic, and dismissive manner toward patients and their families. My sister was brought here by EMS after a fall, classified as a trauma case. She spent an entire week in the hospital, yet I was never contacted or given the opportunity to speak to a doctor about her condition. After running numerous tests, they discharged her without providing any results or explanations, sending her home via EMS.
Four days later, my sister had to return to the hospital because she felt faint and was in pain. Instead of addressing the reason for her visit, the staff seemed more focused on her mental health history, treating her like a specimen rather than a person. The doctors decided to discharge her at 2 PM, again with no clear explanations. When a family member arrived to pick her up at 6 PM, my sister fainted while changing clothes in the bathroom. Only then did they decide not to discharge her.
Throughout this ordeal, I tried to remain patient and requested to speak with a doctor multiple times. While waiting in the waiting area, I was told the doctors had switched rotations, and I’d have to wait another hour. The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful.
This hospital’s lack of communication, professionalism, and compassion is appalling. Patients and their families deserve much better.
