Holly I am so happy i chose synergy bariatrics, the staff is amazing. Always greeted with a smile always willing to answer any questions. Reminded constantly that you are not alone and the support is there for you. Dr Sanders sits and answers all your questions. You leave feeling so well informed and ready to start your journey. The medical staff and nursing staff are amazing! Especially Brooke, she is a blessing for me. Worked so hard to help me when things were tossed at me and I couldn’t navigate them. She stepped in and saved the day! Always reminded me I wasn’t alone and she was only a phone call away. Went above and beyond to get me to surgery day. Amazing staff and amazing doctors and amazing facilities! No regrets

Terry And Mimi Helped with more than just bariatrics!!! I needed my gall bladder removed and dr. Sanders did an amazing job and the staff was very supportive with my recovery. Looking forward to starting my weight loss journey with them.

Hannah Wommack I have experienced nothing but the best from Synergy Bariatrics! I have my upcoming VSG surgery this Thursday and they’ve prepared me so much for what’s to come! Dr.Sanders is wonderful! I HIGHLY recommend Synergy!

Mary Laporta Absolutely the best group in Western New York. Extremely friendly and professional. They explain everything and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Very grateful for the care I received through both surgeries I have had with Synergy Bariatrics.

Bill S. No communication. Nobody answers their phones. The office staff does not appear to know what is going on. Pretty unprofessional. excruciatingly frustrating because of the lack of communication. I went through the program and I lost quite a bit of weight, so I am happy about that. I will say however, the office staff does not answer their phones at all. Everything goes to voicemail so that if you are trying to ask questions or I get some answers over the phone. Quite literally it’s impossible. Nobody will answer their phone.

Allen Smith I have always been well taken care of during my recovery from kidney cancer. I travel from S GA for my treatments at Roswell Park CCC. I travel so far because I have confidence in the Drs and staff and trust them to take care of my needs. I have recommended this facility to others here in the Southland and anywhere a person may be.

Jim Calarco My experience has been very good. The doctor and staff I come in contact with are always helpful and friendly and the patient portal is good too. Recently they have taken steps to improve my wait time which has turned out really well. Roswell is easy to get to and you can either valet park your car, or, there is a convenient ramp right across the street that has a enclosed walkway for bad weather. If you are a patient you also get a discounted rate of $4.00 for the ramp. If you have a need for Roswell services do your own research and check your insurance but I am happy they are available to me.

James Giallella I was greeted as soon as I arrived and my appointment was right on schedule. A nurse put my IV in and explained everything he was doing. The staff that did my scan were kind and made me safe during the procedure. It went very smoothly from arrival to discharge.

bob bailey Very professional, courteous, and timely....didnt have to wait long at any point during my visit. Very impressed with the thoroughness of my exam and biopsy procedure. Almost zero pain and felt like I was always in control by the way the doctor and nurse always related to me. Wish all doctors were like Dr. Kuraitis at Roswell Park!

Kathy Kearns Everyone was helpful and nice. I had been very anxious. The parking though takes a lot of time . I enjoyed the line dancing in the lobby after my test. The girls dancing helped me to relax. The gift shop is cute too. It’s a big place and a bit confusing when you’re already anxious, but it is more than that, a caring welcoming place.I really appreciate Roswell.

Mart Jay 12-18-24. Highly recommend! Thumb laceration, 7 o’clock hour. Called ahead to make sure they could stitch or glue. Walked in, check in was quick. I was taken back within 5 minutes. Treated with in 10 minutes. First nurse that saw me was kinds and respectful, did vitals told me next steps. Doctor came in he was awesome. We chatted as he treated. It was like we were old buddies. Nurse that came in to give a shot was also very kind and respectful. Out the door! Great experience. 5 plus stars!

Mandy Spring HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! ☺️ I live in Attica so the drive here is kinda out of my way, but it is SO worth it! I dont mind traveling for excellent medical care. The staff here are amazing from check in to discharge. The nurses, the PA, everybody is very personable and kind to listen to your concerns. I never once have had a problem going here for various acute illnesses. Great job WNY Immediate Care!

Jeff J The weather was cold and snowy today, and Immediate Care was open when others were closed. The staff were friendly and efficient. I had an appointment and was in and out in less than 30 minutes with a prescription for my acute issue. Thanks to the team there!

BobbyS There weren’t many patients when I visited, but they were efficient and attentive. I had an infected tooth and really needed antibiotics. They took vitals, I saw the doctor who looked briefly at the infection and my prescription was waiting for me when I got to Wegmans. I have been here a few other times and I always felt that it is well run.

Pauley Wallnutz If there were 10 stars, Id highlight them all. From the very helpful receptionists Amanda and Nicole right up to Nurse Keith and Dr. Kate. They were very kind, compassionate and explained in great detail, the issues I came to see them about and applied the necessary remedies to treat my condition. The follow-up visit was just as informative and helpful. Thank you all!

Shelley Wojtaszczyk It feels like a jail in there. The building is beautiful, but to get anywhere except the cafeteria or restroom, you need to be buzzed in or an escort. Cant even walk in the front door without the 3rd degree through an intercom on the wall; "State your business.". (even associates from that company who work at another site get treated like this.)

Unknown Unknown Went to this clinic several months ago twice. The nurses were all extremely kind, understanding, and very positive the first time around. I was still having symptoms so I returned a week later and was seen by other staff members. They seemed very confused that I was still having symptoms and just gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way. Unfortunately that did not do the trick and I must go see a urologist, however I dont think they are at fault for that. Id definitely recommend coming here.

x It’s always a pleasure interfacing with everyone at the DOH, particularly the Nash Health Center. Everyone is extremely kind, and they even remember people from years ago. Results are fast for STI testing, they have tons of free stuff upstairs. I always have a giant smile when I come here because it’s such a pleasant experience. This is how state services should be run. I am more than happy to give the state my tax money because this center is a stellar example of useful public services. To all the workers, thank you very much! I appreciate y’all beyond words.

Rosiejean Does not really meet the needs and serve the community correctly, leaving a message and waiting for someone to call back about a child receiving vaccinations sets back and adds to the wait time on why so many people are in need, that is ridiculous and needs to be redone, I walked in to the clinic was completely open, with lots of space and no one was inside, there is absolutely no reason on why you cannot just walk in get the vaccines you need and walk back out, that would be serving the community the proper way, all of this talk about being spread thin and not having enough staff can be addressed and fixed, there are more than enough human beings on planet Earth, who are qualified and would love to have a job where they are there all day, when calling to make an appointment someone should actually answer the phone and book the appointment in addition to being able to walk in and get serviced , again just putting patients in the queue to be seen adds to so many people in need who have not been serviced yet, no one could even tell me where my name is in the queue so that I can know when to expect a phone call, just because someone is not there at the moment which hows that even possible, Jesse Nash is a health care facility meant to serve members of the community, someone should always be there during business hours to address the needs and the concerns of the people you are hired to serve

AMT I have come here for medical assistance a few times over the years... My most recent visit was an annual check up for that 3 letter abbreviation with an S at the end... Haha!! A quick joke but this was back in January 2018 around midday. Everybody was great from the front desk to nurses. My check up went smooth and had a great chat with my nurse that dealt with me. Not a long wait or anything. I recommend these guys and gals anytime!

(271) Reviews VA WNY Healthcare System - Veteran’s Hospital:

Jon Nichols Im writing to share my experiences with the VAs in-patient Mental Health / Substance Abuse program as I was unable to find any such reviews before I arrived. I hope future veterans find this helpful. I have gone through similar programs elsewhere at other VA clinics and feel equipped to compare them. This VA in-patient ward is very small, with only 10 people in the wing as I am writing, with space for up double as there are two beds in each room. The programming is designed as something of a gap program for those who needed detox and are enroute to longer term treatment at larger facilities, such as Bath, NY. The program is the most locked down of any clinic Ive been to, with any movement off the ward in the company of staff. Access to anything not inside of the one hallway is available only when the staff can accommodate the Veteran. The items one can bring onto the floor are similarly limiting, with even hair clippers and electric razors kept from Veterans. Unlike other clinics, this is very much a hospital environment in every sense. Basic medications such as Advil, nicotine lozenges, and multivitamins are kept under lock and key and require the nurses for administration. Every event, including AA NA, rec events such as fishing, painting, or shuffle board, are mandatory. All classes are done as a group, and designed for the lowest common denominator. The absence of choice in the most basic of decisions feel more appropriate for people coming from prison who need it, and not for Veterans coming from a largely functional life who are requesting an educational environment of focused learning. The standard duration of stay is 28 days. As a glaring stand-out to these measures, veterans with 14 days in the program can request 8 hour passes on the weekends. The staff are a pleasure and appear to be as frustrated with the rule restrictions as the Veterans. A few staff members have stated that the rules used to be lax before covid, but have not been relaxed since. This is a fine facility for anyone needing a halfway step between a detox ward and a larger VA facility with more class/group options, resources, and responsibilities. This may not be the right place for Veterans not requiring that level of handholding.

Carol Thomas I work at another VAMC. I brought a Veteran for an appointment today to the Buffalo VAMC. Dr. Ferrario was a breath of fresh air! She was pleasant, strait forward and very knowledgeable. She answered all the veterans questions and even escorted us to the area to schedule upcoming appointments. She should be commended on her acceptional care! I definitely would recommend her to any veteran.

nikki What is wrong with this place? My boyfriend has had his physc appointment canceled on him 5 TIMES IN A ROW!!! Why?!? No explanation but that the head of the department canceled. What kind of support is this? No support, no priority to help our veterans. This place is beyond terrible.

Phillip Toney Absolutely terrible! 4 days before my daughters surgery, they cancel the surgery. We have been jumping through hoops for over a year with the ENT doctor to have this surgery and now we are told they cannot do it because of the patients body mass index. Catholic health is the new owners of ambulatory surgery have created new guidelines. Catholic health is the reason my daughter cannot have this surgery.

Dan Stachelski III The treatment and care that this center gives its patients is beyond what I ever expected. Every interaction with nurses and the anesthesiologist was positive and reassuring. Knowing that this was my first surgery, they explained things to me and calmed my nerves beforehand. During my surgery, my parents received texts from the center to let them know were I was in the process - from pre-op to post-op. Thank you to all the staff and the anesthesiologist who took care of me. If I ever need surgery again, I would feel so comfortable coming here. The team is amazing and its evident that they love what they do here and have a genuine care for each individual patient. This was the most peaceful medical experience Ive ever had or witnessed. Many thanks and keep up the amazing work!

Nick Danner If I could give a 0 I would. We had a surgery scheduled for tomorrow and today we had it canceled because of BMI. My daughter was so happy to start feeling better after this now whe is going to be very upset that this happened. We have been trying to get her tonsils removed for months. And we have wasted months dealing with this place what a waste of money and time. Now we have to get our money back that they hounded us for to schedule the surgery.

susan gall The surgery center itself was satisfactory and I have no complaints. My complaint is with billing. I paid before my procedure and found out I was overcharged! Trying to get my $925 refund has been a nightmare. I am told the refund is approved but for some reason it has not been sent to me. I cannot get anyone to explain and when I am told to call the manager my calls are not returned. This is no way to run a business and I would not go back. Please beware what they ask you to pay upfront

Tina McMasters My experience after surgery at the ambulatory surgery center of Western NY. I had surgery on April 11, 2024, My nurse before surgery was great but the one afterwards gave me the impression that she had a problem with me, So to tell you how it started, I woke up from surgery in so much pain that I started crying. The pain was so agonizing I didnt know what else to do. So this nurse informed me that she gave me everything that she could have given me which at this point I still never said anything to her. I"m still crying at this point. So another nurse walked by and asked what was going on and she told the nurse that she didnt know and that she gave me everything. So I asked her if she could help me go to the bathroom when she roughly started handling my arm that just was operated on while she knew I was already in pain because I had been crying and saying my arm hurts multiple times before I asked about the restroom. So as she continued to hurt my arm putting on my shirt. she then put my pants on the same way and then started complaining about my shoes I wore. She literally asked me why was Im wearing my shoes and I said its raining out and she then said so why did you have to wear these? I stopped responding to her and asked her where Dr. Tettro was and she then replied that he is in surgery. So I called my pain management Dr because If Im in this much pain now how would this look like at home. She then told me to hang up my phone and I responded no, so because I said no she refused to give me my discharge information after she called my driver back to see me she explained some things to them instead. At some point she went and told DR. Tetro something because when he came out he had so much to say to me without even knowing the full story. He didnt give me a chance to tell my side which made me more disappointed because Ive been his patient for over a year and thought we had a good Dr/patient relationship so I just left. When I left I didnt even know how and when I could bathe. Ive had like about 8 surgeries in my life and have never felt that kind of pain afterwards and have never been treated the way that I was at this facility. This was the worst experience Ive had in my entire life. Something should be done about this. They have a worker with an issue and I hope that she hasnt made anyone else feel this way and they just havent complained about it to you. After I made this complaint the Dr that did the surgery no longer saw me to explain or apologize nothing, he just pasted me off to his assistant and the person I complained to on the phone just said we will take care of it. Don’t go there

Donald Fox On Oct 11, 2024 my Father went in for an outpatient heart procedure having a watchman implanted by Dr Chee Kim. The device dislodged during his recovery period, caused a cardiac arrest, and subsequently he lost enough oxygen that it damaged his brain and he remained unresponsive for a week. No one advised me of his cardiac arrest until after the emergency surgery. Dr. Mohammad Ashraff did the emergency surgery and conveyed that night that my father was recovering peacefully and that his vitals were good. The charge nurses told me the same. Next morning 10/12 I get a call from a CT tech who informed me Dad was having seizure symptoms and that he was actually on a ventilator and not breathing on his own. Thought the week I had doctors and nurses assuring me that when the temporary pacemaker could be removed an MRI could further tell what was wrong. All the while come to find out his blood was too thin to remove the device and he developed CDIF too. A nurse named Eric chewed me out for using the term life support and I got more information about his condition from a mid level named Alison than I from either Kim or Ashraff. Ive had better communication come from drug dealers and Crack addicts. Their neurological team was pathetic and couldnt relay updates when they said they would. No one can tell me why there was a 3 hour gap between the time they discovered the device dislodged, and when they actually got him in for emergency surgery. My father was suppose to have come home, not wound up a corpse. A week and a half went by and no one had even done a device review. Today marks one month since his death and I still have no answers. I stood outside of Gates Vascular hold signs and sharing this horror story with random passerbys. All the while getting smurky smug looks by anyone who gave off the vibe they worked there. So horrifying that their staff thought my display was a joke. May the Lord have mercy on them all because as far as Im concerned they can be sent to the pits of Hell. I have regular night terrors about what happened to my Father there.

D Leavell Dr dryjski is not a good doctor. His bedside manor is sub par. I got new doctor and got done in twenty minutes what I couldnt get done in two months with him. Btw theres no nursing staff as stated by woman who answered phones. If he cant attend to patients on a fairly regular pace then he should retire.

Marianne S Just came home from Gates Vascular Institute where my brother had a angiogram. He had the most unprofessional, rudest and down right nasty nurse I have ever encountered. We were afraid to ask her anything for fear that she may yell or get cocky with us. This behavior lasted the whole time we were there. The last question I asked .. can my brother drive and this is the answer we got: she looked at my brother and yelled…you just had anesthesia, if you drive I hope you get in an accident and lose your house! After this outburst, she left the room and we asked another nurse to ask the head nurse to come see us.. which she never did. The absolute worse experience ever!

Richard Raffule Yesterday, I had to have a cardiac catheterization done at the GVI. I was notified by my doctor on Thursday that my apt was on Monday, and that I needed to have some tests before I arrived. I was not in Buffalo, and not due to get back until late Friday night. My flight was cancelled and I was not able to get my pre testing done before Monday. I showed up on Monday and everyone was so accommodating. I wasnt in the waiting room for more than 3 minutes before they took me to my room. Within 30 min I had my blood drawn, EKG done, and was ready for my procedure. The staff was invested in the outcome of my test, and showed such empathy. The nurses, nurse practitioner, and doctors made me feel as if I was the only patient that they were taking care of. I cannot thank the wonderful staff at Gates Vascular Institute for providing superior care, coupled with compassion. Whatever the leadership team is doing to foster this healing environment, please keep it up.... I will be referring any of my friends and family that may need your services in the future. Buffalo General and the GVI offer world class services that make me proud to be a Buffalonian. Sincerely, Rich Raffule

Matt Pasternak It doesn’t surprise me other reviews on this page talking about money grab appointment’s and just wasting your time. I trusted this place with my health and being hung up on repeatedly by the staff here has lead me to writing this review. You don’t hang up on people that are following up after another hospital visit because this place has failed as a health provider. The appointment I’m Still waiting on should have been suggested months ago but since I’m dealing with a bunch of pill pushers that don’t believe in dangerous medication interactions, I’m forced to wait like 8 visits to the ER in 2 months is normal. This place deserves to be investigated.

Ben Stanford They are great to get your scripts and the front desk staff are really great. I reported a concern that I was told would be looked into. Been about two weeks and no word. If they call to schedule an appointment, make sure theres a legitimate reason. Seems like they dont respect time and will call to have you come in for bs reasons. Money grabs maybe idk. Make sure they state why theyre requesting you come in and make sure its a service you want. They had me come in to meet a physician who wasnt actually going to be my physician, and then never returned my request for follow up.

trevor hughes They would make you wait until all of your meds expire if it were up to them. Waited 2 months for services and 30 minutes prior to my wife’s appointment, they reschedule… Another 2-3 months out because the provider decided not to come into work today. Horrible just move to Canada at this point or something. Thank god this happened honestly. Judging by the horrible reviews and reports of mistreatment, this place should be out of business. Misleading/misdirecting people’s time when it is crucial to their health is a disservice.

Shahinur rashid Dr. Momin Ullah is seriously the best doctor I’ve ever had! I can’t say enough good things about him. When I was in Buffalo and had that scary heart problem, he was there for me 100%. First off, he’s super smart but doesn’t talk down to you like some docs do. He explains everything in a way that makes sense, which is awesome when your freaking out about your health. And he’s got this way of making you feel comfortable, even when your nervous as heck. I remember one time I went in feeling really anxious, and Dr. Ullah just had this calming presence. He took his time, listened to all my worries, and didn’t rush me out the door like some other doctors I’ve seen.Even now, when I am out of state for travel, he is there for me. All I had to do is left him a message. The thing that really stands out is how much he seems to genuinely care. It’s not just about treating symptoms, you know? He wants to make sure your doing okay overall. And he remembers stuff about you, which is pretty cool. His office is pretty convienent too. I never had to wait forever to get an appointment, which is a huge plus when your not feeling great. I guess what I’m trying to say is, if your in Buffalo and need a doctor, Dr. Ullah is your guy. He’s the kind of doctor who makes you feel like your in good hands. I’m so gratefull I found him when I did. Seriously, can’t recomend him enough!

Cool in Is that a medical center! Is Momin Ullah a real doctor. He is a practicing nurse but provide medicines like specialists in medicine. and poor us cant recognize these google doctors nowadays. Seems like those credentials are easily purchasable and the rest assured by networking. Such a mean person, do all businesses except medical issues. He actually doesnt know how to describe medical issues. Family people should go and get feeling of tea stall. That is the business Mominullah good at.

Seth R Mcglothlin Hello, I am just writing this small review on how my experience with them were. MAS transportation had them as my medical cab ride. Well, for that my appointment was at 8:30 AM, it was scheduled for 7:00 AM. The driver was very late, 8:20 AM, where I was going for an appointment was 54 minutes away from my house. I was late, pretty late. 9:39 AM is when I got to my appointment. Lucky, the place understood. Though, if they didn’t I could’ve gotten very messed up due to them. Never using this company again. Two stars for how nice the driver was at least.

ana mocha The one driver was very rude to me. I had informed him that I paid for my fare, and requested for him to get on the expressway but decided to take a longer route. Then, he demanded for me to pay, after I informed him several times I paid in advance. He even tried to stop me from getting to my destination, but besides that t Liberty cab service is great.

Taj Cochran They treated me for wrong thing! I went in with pain in my left side. CT showed my spleen was enlarged and bloodwork showed an elevated white blood cell count. They gave me a G.I. cocktail and a script for Pepcid. Your spleen isn’t even part of your digestive tract! They blatantly ignored my actual symptoms and treated me for “heart burn” which I told them I don’t have! And they expect me to PAY them for their lack of basic medical knowledge or treatment. I had to go somewhere else for REAL medical care. Oh, and thank god I went somewhere else where I was tested and treated for a very serious medical condition. I’d hate to see how sick I’d be if I only took the Pepcid and didn’t seek real help. Thankfully I knew better. They’re out here scamming regular people who might not know any better.

Jocelyn Mathews Degraff is usually my go to ER for my entire family because you get in and out quickly. Tonight I went at the request of my PCP for having worsening flank pain, decreased urine output and low grade fevers. On Christmas Eve I went to another ER facility and they suspected I was passing small kidney stones. So after two more days i started to feel worse. Well I was triaged and put back in the waiting room. After about 30/45mins I was taken in the back. After giving a urine sample I was in the room and the ER doc came in to talk to me. I knew this doc from working with him at BGH and his bedside manner depends on how he feels about the patient....he believes everyone is lying and drug seeking. He questioned me on why I was there and I told him everything that happened including the visit at the other ER and how i felt worse and my PCP said to come in. His response was "I already looked all your information up on Healthelink and of course your PCP would tell you to come here it keeps our numbers up". He said I looked fine despite my pain level being high and I only urinated twice today. He looked at my urine labs and said it looked ok.......I told him I was still feeling worse....his response was "we could check your lab values but the nurses told me you are a pretty hard stick to get an IV on and I dont know if it would be worth it to have them try". He did an assessment on me and said he thinks I was having back spasms & then he offered me a Motrin for my pain....which I have an anaphylaxis response to ibuprofen....after I told him that he said well I guess we could try a muscle relaxer but im going to discharge you and he left the room. I spent more time in the waiting room than I did in the actual room! I work for Kaleida and this visit really left a bad taste in my mouth. How could a provider be so dismissive of a patients concerns?? Clearly I was following the directions of my ER discharge papers: if you feel worse pain, or your symptoms get worse or you begin to have fevers go back to the ER to be seen. The doctor said I didnt have a fever, yes because I had taken Tylenol before going and that would lower it, he said my urine was fine....after looking in the patient portal it was not. He also stated he did a "chart review" of my chart and I had had way too many CAT scans for his liking so he wouldnt be ordering one. Every CT scan I have had has been necessary due to my lung issues and GI issues that I have. After this visit I called my PCP and she was furious at how I was treated. She asked for the names of all that encountered & she said she would be filing a complaint. It is very hard to be a young black woman who has medical issues and I go to be seen and I am completely dismissed in regards to how i feel and what my pain is. The doctor put in his note "she looks comfortable so she must be fine". Pain is subjective, sorry I wasnt falling all over the place and acting outrageous like yall expect black people to do. Smh my doctor is reaching out to the ER that is associated with her office to see if they can see me and ACTUALLY TREAT me. This is the last time I go to Degraff! UPDATE: My PCP had me go to a different ER who did do labs and images and I have a pretty bad infection in my colon and my blood levels are so low that I will need a transfusion!!

Hidaya Majeed I am beyond furious with the service at this doctor’s office. They never answer the phone, making it absolutely impossible to get through for appointments or inquiries. It’s as if they don’t care about their patients at all. I’ve wasted countless hours trying to get someone to pick up, only to be met with endless ringing or rude, dismissive staff when someone finally answers. The staff’s attitude is appalling. They are consistently rude, unprofessional, and treat patients like a burden. It’s clear that they have no interest in providing decent customer service or even basic human decency. Their indifference is infuriating and unacceptable. To add insult to injury, the wait times are a complete joke. Despite having an appointment, I’ve never waited less than an hour to be seen. The waiting room is overcrowded and uncomfortable, making the experience even worse. It’s obvious that this office is grossly mismanaged and has zero respect for their patients’ time. Overall, this place is a nightmare. The lack of communication, horrendous customer service, and absurdly long wait times make it one of the worst medical offices I’ve ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other practices out there that actually care about their patients and know how to run an office properly.

But for the past 2-3 days i have been calling morning , afternoon and before closing to schedule my 2 week Ob appointment and to also get my test results and no one answers the phone at all. I have left voicemails and no call backs, i have also messaged the page and nothing either . Im not understanding the issue with simply answering a phone call for medical reason.

Curly Jay This office just really keeps going downhill. They don’t care about their patients . I been begging these people to fix my dad’s script so he can get his feeds since he’s a stroke patient and can’t really take nothing by mouth. It’s been a whole month trying. Now nobody answers the phone. Dr Glick and Ciera never call back super hard to reach I don’t know what else to do . Will definitely be leaving this clinic and removing both my parents from here as they have no care in the world for their patients .

Samantha Bell If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I saw the nurse practitioner first. It was a great visit. This past visit I met the doctor. I had Dr. Cruz. I absolutely do NOT recommend you have her as your doctor. I went in regarding thyroid pain. With a family history of thyroid issues it would make sense for this to be a concern. Well she had no interest in discussing the issue. Instead she wanted to go over my mental health and ask if I wanted medications. I am not on any medication for anxiety, depression or anything else for mental health. My mental health has been great and she was just pushing the pills. I am on medication for asthma but she had NO idea that her practice prescribed the medication and has conducted the tests on that to keep tabs on my asthma. I also have the tendency to get extremely nervous at a doctors office, which I was really nervous since I thought she was going to be pressing on my already painful thyroid. My blood pressure was slightly elevated. Nothing alarming. She even said so at first and so did her nurses! Well then it was all about an EKG and the rosacea on my face. I was there for my thyroid. I told her I do not consent to the EKG at this time and she tells me this practice doesn’t seem like a good fit for me and my family. First off, when did my family come into play? Secondly, you didn’t even address the issue? I was there talking to her for over half an hour. Also how many brain cells does it take to figure out a blood pressure cuff? She couldn’t figure it out! He had my hand above my head causing it to fall asleep. She was not even releasing the air so it was just hurting me. I called to make a complaint and had to get a voicemail. I am posting this as a warning. If you are looking for a practice then don’t choose this practice. I don’t trust them when my life. I had to walk out of the office. I couldn’t stay there any longer. She told me I couldn’t then I asked if there was something I could then sign saying I will leave against medical advice. I wouldn’t trust her at all. I don’t know how all of the doctors are at this practice but if they are anything like her then they need their license stripped. She doesn’t deserve the job she has. I also reported her. She doesn’t deserve to treat patients the way she did today. I don’t care if you were having a bad day or what was going on in your personal life. LEAVE IT AT THE DOOR AND TREAT YOUR PATIENTS WITH THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE! I hope this saves someone from deciding to go to this practice!

Jessica R I don’t know when the hospitals in Buffalo became the worst of all! I am here with a person who clearly has the flu, he has 7 of the 8 symptoms on the warning chart due to a flu outbreak now Jan 2018. He was taken a flu swab at 2am it’s 2:51 am so I looked up “how long for the flu swab results?” It says 15 minutes so I tell the lady at triage and she says another 45 minutes?? So I tell her there are two people that’s has been over 12 hours and I know everyone’s case is different so I went and ask her based on your experience how much longer until he gets some flu medication or something for the vomiting -3 since he got here- and she says at least a couple of hours! For a person with flu on nationally known outbreak .... only one ambulance patience and 13 here at the ER Waiting room

Kim Gallo The review written by Jessica that is just below mine is for the ER at Buffalo General NOT the Neurology Clinic. I have spend a great deal of time in the hospital and getting care from the Neurology clinic at BGH. They are top notch in my opinion. I have an undiagnosed illness that stemmed from getting a flu shot in 2005 which caused terrible issues with my nerves effecting muscles, as a result I lost my ability to walk twice for about a year each time. Out the three hospitals I spent time in, the rehab team and the neurology clinic at BGH got me walking when no one else could. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jeremy Bartee I had reason to visit the hospital after having some questions about my heart rate at the eye clinic where I was having cataract surgery. I spent two days there and even with a few things that were aggravating or things that may not been moving at a pace in which I felt they should, the staff was fantastic overall. From the start, the intake nurse was great all the way to Ella who was the nurse who took care of me for most of my stay and she is a wonderful, patient and pleasant person. I apologize that I dont remember everyone. There were a lot of different people taking care of me and performing different functions. Dr. Brumberger (cardiologist) came to see me during my stay. He is a great guy. Talks to you, looks at you when he speaks and explains things so you can understand them. I have been to see him in your offices subsequent to my stay and I am happy to say that I have found a new doctor if I need those services going forward. The nurses in his office in the hospital were all very polite and professional. I only remember Laura, but the three working on that unit were all equally cordial. Thank you

Lu Sal My water broke at 28 weeks and was admitted to sisters hospital. I was so scared and confused and didnt know what was going to happen. I spent a few hours at labor and delivery and everyone there were so nice and helpful. Many doctors came in from the nicu and explained to me what could happen which was so scary but they did their best to reassure me that everything can also be ok and their was also a chance i would not deliver soon. Hours passed and still i was not in labor thank god and they took me to mother and baby where i spent the next four weeks there. I met the most kind hearted and sweet and loving nurses and doctors and nurse aids there. Every nurse and nurse aid that walked in my room was very compassionate and kind and did their best to keep a smile on my face considering i was going thru a scary time in my pregnancy. I wish i remembered all their names to thank each one. Even all the doctors that would come every morning were very nice and listened to all my concerns. I had one doctor specifically that came in every day and did my ultrasound Dr Katherine O’Donnell, she was the sweetest soul i have ever met. She was very professional and loving and cared very much for her patients. After our talks and ultrasound i always felt comfortable and reassured and will always be greatful to her. After i gave birth at almost 32 weeks my baby Zayn spent almost 6 weeks in the nicu where he was in amazing hands. All his nurses and doctors where amazing and loving there. They made us feel very comfortable over there and took care of my baby. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses for everything they did for me and my son and for being so kind.

Shelly Pitz I visited the ED on Wednesday and stayed for observation until Thursdsy evening. From intake to discharge, everyone was amazing. The nurses were all so friendly and helpful. They were very attentive to anything I needed and genuinely happy to help me. I had an incident with an allergic reaction and the nurses jumped right into action. I had 5 nurses in my room all working quickly to make sure I was ok. I believe it was the quick action that only caused a very tiny reaction. I am so grateful for all who helped me in my 2 day stay. They made me as comfortable as possible. If I didnt have to be there for a reason, id say I enjoyed it. Great job!

Joseph Gajewski Worst hospital I’ve ever been in to. My girlfriend started to experience signs of pre term labor. We went into her obgyn and they saw contractions. We were recommended to go into sisters hospital. We go there and they get us into a room. The First Lady that comes in does not even state her name. Didn’t even smile. My girlfriend was told to get undressed and the nurse didn’t even leave the room to give her some privacy. She gets the monitors on her belly and we wait. One of the monitors fell off of her belly and I notified the nurse. Right when I told her, she was shaking her head like we were in the wrong. Never came in to fix it by the way. My girlfriend had cultures taken and they didn’t even take them out of the room to test. They were sitting there on the table when we left. For all we know they threw them in the trash. The nurse comes in the last time and rips the test paper right out of the machine, almost pulls the machine right off the table. Crumbles it up and says we are good to go home. The best part is the nurse with no name told my girlfriend to take all of the medical equipment off herself. They didn’t even take it off for her. We left with no answers and we are very unhappy with the professionalism from the staff. They honestly deserve no stars but I had to atleast put one to write a review. Everyone seemed unprofessional from whom we talked to and saw. Hope the next visit will be better.
