Maria Rodriguez I came to bring my mom food and security guard Checo refused to let me in . My mom is 74 years old been in the Er since this morning without any food. He was not helpful at all. She was waiting to be discharged. He said well then you have to wait till she is discharged. What if it was his mom without eating all day. This is terrible service.

Ann-Marie The ER is scary and I was there for three days. The food was not bad. The warm dinner rolls and warm cookies were delicious! The nurses were excellent and so nice. The PCA‘s were 50/50. Half were Nice and the other half did not do their job And had a bad attitude. The doctors were excellent. Thank you for taking good care of me!

Thomas Cayce Stapp Worst hospital experience ever- complete waste of 3 days of life I will never get back! Where do I start? - Rude, condescending, haughty unprofessional belittling unhelpful incompetent nurse. - Dr. Tanner did absolutely nothing for me, and I only saw him one time in 3 days. I only received Motrin after I let them know I was leaving, and was literally screaming in pain so loudly that other patients advocated on my behalf. - No food. I only received 2 decent breakfasts in 3 days. No ice. Seriously, literally ridiculous. - My room that was shared with an absolute psychopath had BLACK MOLD growing on the HVAC grate. - Need I say more? Had to check myself out!

Jennifer Mayer While the place was a bit of a maze, the people who served us, from the doctors to the clinicians, were friendly both to my son and myself, and went out of the way to make my son very comfortable, despite the hospital setting. They even gave him toys with which to play, and used them to show him what would be happening in his surgery so he wouldn’t be alarmed by any part for which he’d be awake. I was very grateful for their care and how relaxed they made him about the whole process.

Mounir This is a Hospital in the Real meaning of Medical.. The staff is impressive knowledgeable and relaxed . I went in late evening to the ER.but was soon in good hands .Im definitely thankful and I admire their work and demeanor. Eventhough many hospitals are good, Im glad my luck took me to Bellevue E 28 st.

Rick Milne Everyone was great. Dr Balaguer and his staff including PA Christopher Bent were awesome! The nurses on Floor 15 were very nice and helpful with everything. Some of the other patients on the floor were very rude and must be hard to deal with but the Nurses were great. All my doctors were informative and everything went great. Even the few ppl who transported me around were very nice and on time etc. Thank you! :)

Kerlyn I This hospital did not meet my expectations because it is too expensive and when I requested an MRI for my autistic son, they did not know how to answer me or give me options. What they tell you is that if you want to do more tests, they will not help you with your concerns about autism. The worst thing of all is that they are not clear from the beginning. They also do not let you pay a small amount of money and they send you a form knowing that I do not apply for anything. Because in this state they only look at what your partner earns without seeing that the other party does not work and has expenses everywhere. Really, health care should not be so expensive for those of us who pay taxes and have children with conditions.

Nicholas Maldonado Best hospital in NYC!!! The level of care was amazing. My wife had a procedure done and the attention shown to her was top notch. The doctors are some of the best in the country. The nurses and staff show a genuine sense of care. We felt very comfortable and confident during our time there. The bed side care is unmatched in NYC. The oncology department and the GYNECOLOGY department are the best in NYC hands down. Our insurance was excepted and we didn’t come out o pocket. The billing department will work with your needs. I know countless people who have said they will not go to any other hospital. Every visit we were made to feel like we were the most important patient there. The doctors and nurses spent a lot of time explaining what they were going to do and what they thought would be our best options. Every question we asked was answered. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for the highest care available. Thank you!!!

Helen Herrera I highly recommend this hospital to anyone. My birth experience was truly magical, thanks to the incredible team. Words cant fully express how grateful I am. It felt like I was in a five-star hotel, and I never wanted to leave. To my surgeon and all the nurses, thank you for taking such wonderful care of me. A special thank you to Cynthia (RN) for being so kind and patient with me. To everyone on the 18th floor, I will never forget you.

Jessica Arias I delivered my baby on October 27 and I cannot be more thankful for the amazing staff. Christina in the L&D floor was amazing. Her bedside manner cannot compare. When I was moved to postpartum I had Christine as my morning nurse and Amber as my night nurse. These two ladies are the best nurses. They were amazing and once again the bedside manner could not compare. All in all I had such an amazing experience.

Richard Thompson Wonderful facility. Modern, big private rooms (labor/delivery and postpartum rooms). The nursing care was fantastic throughout. We had DD when we first checked in and she was really outstanding and made us feel very comfortable throughout (our first baby). All the doctors were informative and took the time to explain all details to us. For partners, you have a pull out sofa bed next to mums bed and are just as well looked after. The food isn’t the best but luckily there is lots of great Manhattan food delivery options! 5 stars!

Bridget Absolutely wonderful birth experience. I requested to have an elective C-section from the beginning of my pregnancy and I appreciated that my doctors gave me all the information regarding not just my birth plan but my plan for my family in the future and that helped me decide between a vaginal and C-section birth. As a woman, I have heard horror stories from countless of women and a social media about how terrible C-section is how difficult C-section is, how traumatic C-section can be. But for me, I appreciate that I entered the procedure with the mindset that it was going to be an elective C-section and I felt mentally prepared for the upcoming recovery. And the entire birth experience with the surgery was absolutely a blessing. I feel so grateful and privileged to be able to say I had a wonderful birth experience at Alexandra Cohen and I truly contribute that to the entire staff and including my surgeon, Dr. Andrea Dobrenis. The recovery process at the hospital was phenomenal. My entire family was very impressed with the staff. Very impressed with the education by the doctors and very impressed by the care by the entire treatment team and the biggest perk, very impressed by the gorgeous room. After our three day stay in the recovery suite, we learned so much from the nurses there, and we gain the confidence to be able to take care of our little one before we got discharged. I truly am amazed at how easy the transition was to motherhood and how calming and relaxing the child birth experience was. I truly accredited this to Alexandra Cohen hospital. We traveled from New Jersey and both my husband and multiple friends/family members said I was a bit crazy to do this commute and a bit crazy to commit to delivering in New York City when we have other great hospitals nearby. One of my closest friends delivered at this hospital and her experience to me truly felt magical and I felt also that I would be in very good hands. God forbid there was a medical emergency during the birth, I had full faith and trust in the doctors and that is what really kept me at this clinic for my entire birth experience. I did not worry about my own health during the childbirth and I of course, did not worry about my child’s health because I knew this hospital had the resources to be able to take care of us if the worst case scenario ever did happen. And to me that peace of mind was well worth the commute and well worth the time, money, and energy to deliver at this hospital. I will be delivering my next kid here and I’m constantly raving for people to choose this hospital for the entire treatment and amazing care I received. I am forever grateful and thankful for this place.

Josias Castillo Century Medical and Dental center staff are always professional and friendly. If you need PT services I highly recommend this facility. Physical therapist Sama Khedgikar, DPT is knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help you in your recovery. She helps you understand your injury and how each exercise helps get you back to yourself. Unfortunately in September of 2023 I hurt my back and went Sama. Khedgikar for PT and within 3weeks I was to my old self. Earlier this year( 2024) I had quadricep repair surgery and went back to see Sama Khedgikar, DPT and she’s helping on my recovery. She’s gentle, efficient and helpful. Sama answers any concerns I have. And puts it at ease in any my worries.

brittany doyley Please be careful booking with this doctor. I will give the reasons stated below. Doctor is never available if you need to ask a question about your medicine not being sent to pharmacy you will need to book an appointment. If this medication is life saving it doesn’t matter you will need to book an appointment for her to fix the prescription even if you just had an appointment the same day. She doesn’t speak with you very long. The most I have spoken with her is in 2 min intervals. The rest are nurses. She will give you a bunch of random tests and random medicine so that your insurance can pay them. The front desk handle all of your medication this doctor will not help you. They will say that the doctor is doing the prescriptions and medication referrals but it’s not her. She will randomly cancel appointments and she is only available Monday through Wednesday so she you will have to wait till the following week if she cancels you on a Wednesday. She is not trained in ob/gyn or GI amongst other things so you will have to pay your copay to speak with her for her to then tell you she doesn’t specialize in that and give you a referral to another doctor. She sent me to get ultrasounds done and NEVER FOLLOWED UP WITH THE RESULTS. Guess who called me THE FRONT DESK!!! They didn’t even knew what the results meant and couldn’t explain. The list goes on and on but please save yourself the trouble with dealing with this doctor. There are other century medicals that have better doctors.

Larissa Muehleder Where should I start? This facility consistently failed to follow up on medical x-rays or urology tests. When you call for information about the next steps, they often mix up your file with someone elses. The only person who provided clear guidance was a woman I spoke to in Brooklyn, and unfortunately, she seems to be an exception. Whenever I reached out, the receptionist lacked the knowledge to guide me or offer advice on my care. Despite my back pain, the diagnosis of kidney stones, and the recommendation for an x-ray, I ended up receiving a chest x-ray instead. The lack of clarity on this decision was frustrating, with no one able to provide a satisfactory explanation. After paying a fee and attending another appointment, the urologist informed me that I was supposed to go to another office for necessary tests before seeing her. This raised the question of why a second appointment was scheduled without ensuring they had the required tests. Following up for a month to understand the next steps, I made an appointment for a phone call to discuss the results. However, just 2 minutes before the scheduled call, they called me to charge the consultation fee again, even though I had already paid for a prior appointment where no service was rendered due to their negligence. Upon explaining this to the representative, he looked up my records, put me on hold, and then returned to inform me that they couldnt locate my results. This lack of preparation for the consultation, coupled with insistence on fee payment, was frustrating. Despite their earlier call to collect fees, when the scheduled consultation time arrived, they were unable to find my results, and the subsequent promise to call me back was not fulfilled. In a later call, the receptionist offered a credit for two office visits, and I was told the doctor would call me when available. However, as of 7:46 pm, I still have not received the promised call. The level of care provided in this situation is truly astonishing and concerning. In the care of Dr. Bachilava.

Raúl Rodríguez García Third time my dental appointment gets cancelled, this time with less than 24 hours prior to the appointment. Next availability is in 8 weeks! Sooo unprofessional. Furthermore, the cocky attitude of the personnel on the phone is infuriating… not even an apology or reason why my appointment gets cancelled…

Agnes Lekk I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Tisch Hospital and all the medical and nursing staff for the excellent care they provided me during the birth of my child. From the first moment I felt safe, supported and warm, invaluable elements in such an important moment of my life. A special thank you to my gynecologist, Dr Justin Brandt, for everything he has done for me, his dedication, patience and impeccable scientific training. His presence gave me strength and confidence at every step of this beautiful but demanding route. His patience, scientific excellence and human approach made the birth of my child a beautiful and safe experience. My heartfelt thanks to the whole team for their excellent care and support!” There really are no words to express how grateful and pleased I am. The paediatricians, the nursing staff, the excellent gynecologists and the entire maternity department are all unique. I thank God for sending me this amazing doctor Dr. Brandt!

Shan Lack of communication with each other. I had a tech administer the same test as triage that was not ordered again. A nurse who requested urine from me twice after providing it less than 30 mins of the request. I told her another nurse took the sample, she seemed very confused. During my care they didn’t seem to have much to offer me in terms of possible test and diagnosis to rule out my symptoms. Everyone is concerned about moving fast and not providing efficient and effective treatment to help aid in my concerns. I also had someone with a tablet ask me to fill out paperwork while in the emergency room. I was also moved from one bed to a random corner. I’m very sad and disappointed. I’ve been experiencing symptoms for a while and thought NYU Langone could help provide some clarity.

I traveled far to come here (based on positive reviews), and the facility and experience definitely exceeded all expectations.

Laura Washington I have mixed feelings about my experience here. I was injured on my trip to NYC and came here about an hour before closing. The receptionist and PA were so nice on the first day. I could barely walk and they helped me get to the room. It was almost closing time and they were still helping everyone and being so kind. The doctor was also nice but she only did an x ray, said nothing was wrong and sent me on my way. I was visiting NYC and had to walk 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back in pain. I woke up the next day and the pain was so intense I couldn’t put any weight or pressure on it. I went back to this urgent care and the receptionist that was there that time was different. She was very rude and talking about people that came into the urgent care. It was extremely unprofessional. A couple from out of the country came in with travelers insurance and she was so rude to them I couldn’t even believe it. The difference from the night time receptionist to that day time receptionist was unbelievable. It was Christmas Eve and she kept talking about how she was ready to get off and how people were getting on her nerves coming in at the last minute as if there were not being people in the waiting room. I had to pay $120, $60 for the first visit and $60 for the second visit which I thought was a little crazy because it hasn’t been 24 hours since my first visit. I know here in my hometown if you go to the urgent care and you have to be seen for that same issue within 3 days, you don’t have to pay the copay again. But I was in so much pain I didn’t even want to get into it with them about it and was would be the point. If that’s their policy, they were only doing their job. I was called back quickly and was in tears I was in so much pain. It was a new doctor and a new PA so they had to redo every thing. I’m glad they did because they were able to find the problem. They put this splint on my foot, a boot and a cane/crutches. They also gave me the medicine that I needed and recommended I see another doctor. I even got a call the next day for the appointment but I decided to wait until I got back in my hometown for treatment. The PA and doctor the second day were amazing. I have mixed feelings on if I would recommend this place or not because it all depends on who is working that day.

Jessica Moreira I usually don’t write reviews about medical providers but I went there this week and had a terrible experience with PA Sara D. She barely looked at me, besides not examining myself. She got in the room and just said “you have a strep throat, i will prescribe antibiotics and that is it” and was about to leave the room when I asked if I could at least ask a few questions. I felt so disrespected because I was in a lot of pain specifically in my ear, told her that and she did not care to exam it nor give more guidance of what could be happening, perhaps I think she lacks knowledge because she said strep throat is only transmitted by kissing and sharing food, which you can figure it is not with a simple google search. That is actually how mono is usually transmitted not strep throat. My sinus was probably affected by the strep throat and she did not care to evaluate it even though I asked her so - she said I should feel better with a few days of antibiotics and did not even take a look on my throat or ear. I will avoid at all costs this location if needed in the future because I never saw a PA who does not want to interact with patients like that. Total lack of professionalism and respect.

Josh M I had an appointment at 9:15pm booked online and I arrived at 9:06pm. The gentleman at the front said I would be the next to be called. I wasn’t called until 10:00pm and they let 7 people in front of me who didn’t have appointments. Of course all of this was only AFTER they collected my copay so I was held hostage there. Then I was finally called inside to a room which ended up being the wrong room so then they asked to move me to a different room. Finally the physician assistant came in and I had to explain to him my symptoms at least 15 times until he understood The doctor didn’t come in to see me until 10:30pm and I left at 11pm. To top it off, not only was no one apologetic. They were actually actively rude. The doctor herself came in with an attitude, which is shocking. I’ve been coming to this location for years and sadly it just keeps going more and more downhill. This was the absolute most unacceptable experience I’ve had.

Sacred Jervis The bad: Nurse D.B on floor MSH P05 clearly doesnt like children. If shes your nurse, save yourself the rudeness and ask for a different one. My 2 year old was admitted after midnight after being sick for almost 4 days and was of course fussy and crying. She kept saying stop crying/ use your words/ youre a big girl to a sick, lethargic 2 year old who had been poked and prodded all night. The other nurses that I ran into were actually very amazing and I should have just requested a different nurse. Security picked and chose who they would bend the rules for. Siblings under 10 I believe werent allowed to visit and despite pleading for an exception/ 10 minute visitation we were denied. I even asked if there was a social worker around but it was the weekend. Dad and I took turns waiting in the lobby with our other child and observed "other" children who were very clearly under the age of 10 being allowed to visit. This caused emotional stress on us as parents and deep emotional stress on our children who were crying on facetime. The good: I was mostly kept informed and could communicate directly to the entire medical team through mychart. They had tablets for for the kids in the room and lots of toys, crayons etc. I arrived with nothing but was provided everything. Additional staff was fantastic. Someone came to play with my daughter and the rest of the staff provided us with a meal voucher and toiletries which was nice. Dr. Odukwe reassured me throughout the discharge process and answered any and all questions that I asked. Thank you :) I accidentally forgot some of our belongings and the front desk called me and held it until I could return. They could have easily discarded it but they were so sweet. Also they were SUPER friendly and nice to my toddler. Overall: Advocate for your children and ask questions they are most often very happy to answer them no matter how small it may seem. Weekends are probably just a weird time to be in the hospital I suppose.

If your hot but she cold then its cold. She puts al the machine on wrong. Its like she a nurse in training. Then there George. He a man that will make a promise and not get back to you. There were some excellent staff there and some terrible. I was told to share a ten dollar voucher with the pregnant women I was with

G Luch Overall great experience with a beautiful , new space, competent doctors /nurses and a very engaged ancillary staff. However , the waiting times in the ED to get care delivered is painfully slow - even when it is empty. This is somewhat systemic with Sinai TBH- there is always a reflexive perception by the nurses that “it’s really busy” even when it simply Isn’t . Im not anti-labor , but seeing droves of staff talking /socializing loudly for hours at a time must drive admin crazy. The only way to get care in this ED is to advocate for it …and then you will get it…but that’s sad. I’ve dealt with the Kravitz Pediatric ED three times (all in the middle of the night when it was literally empty) and have had identical experiences - excellent medical care delivered by exceptionally slow ED nurses. The care upstairs on the fifth floor was much much more expedient . The residents, doctors, nurses, SW, and aides were all prompt, kind and attentive. There was an error made with medication reconciliation that was preventable but other than that it was a great hospital stay . Shout out the impressive Drs Reid, Bautista , Garcia and Zinns as well as the Child Life Team!

Sd In past six months we had to go to this place twice, and highly recommended doctor had no bedside manners. I have had fare share with doctors to deal with, but this kind never. Usually with any kind of procedure they walk you through what to expect what will happen etc… needed to get the biopsy for the liver and without talking he just shoved the needle in the stomach! Painful procedure and the process! It’s not that I have got many biopsy in my life. On top of it did not follow through entire instructions given by the doctors. Now that you are dealing with those doctors my doctor guaranteed me about the surgeon ( she would go to her) . I needed surgery, doctor was good to talk to, she knew what she was supposed to do but only half the information was given to me. I was never told how long will I be in recovery room, or if needed instead of laparoscopic they will make a full incision…, I was out after the surgery but my relatives were told that they can be with me within 1 to 1 1/2 hours instead they ended up staying 12 hours worrying about me. They got a call that the bed was not ready but the floor I was supposed to be on, the nurse was ready and asking my relatives when were recovery room was bringing me up. So big communication gap between each management. Avoid this hospital and do your homework before going to the doctor associated with this hospital.

Dominic Del Principe I have found that the medical staff is top notch, 5*, but the admin staff can leave a bit to be desired. This is by no means a universal issue; sometimes scheduling is great. Overall, a very positive experience, you will not go wrong choosing Mount Sinai as your hospital.

Oscar Avoid. They don’t have enough postpartum rooms. If you are unlucky to be there on a busy night, you will have to sleep on a chair or sharing a single room.

Selt Gjergjova I recently visited this hospital for a bad sinus infection and had to get surgery for it. I stayed 3 days and everyone was very hospitable and respectful and took very good care of me. From the moment I stepped in the hospital, everyone was so kind and helpful unlike a lot of the other hospitals here in NYC. I would recommend anyone to go here for your health needs. God bless everyone who works here and fight every day to save people’s lives.

Shane Calderon UPDATE: this review that was posted on 10/13/24 was deleted off Mount Sinai somehow. Reposting with updates. They billed me a sky high amount for visiting ER where they took my bloods 2 times & kept me waiting for 6 hours (nothing else, no resolution just shocked how i am alive with 250 BP) and DISCHARGED me with 250 blood pressure which is illegal. No one followed up with my condition & did not get back to my attempts of seeking medical help. On 10/10/24 around 3:45pm my wife and I arrived to the ER entrance where we were nicely greeted by the security guard. As we proceed after that, everything went left. The front desk person that was sitting there made sure to not acknowledge us, while i had 240 blood pressure with a crisis and my wife who came to admit me. After being ignored, we decided to approach the lady in the green scrubs since we thought maybe thats not her department until another person pops and mumbles we have to refer to the other front person (the same one with a careless attitude who obviously had a problem with assisting us). As we walked to her direction, she was extra slow and made it obvious she had 0 interest in helping us. I, the patient started getting infuriated and exclaimed I have abnormal high blood pressure and this treatment is absurd. Then some random person behind the desk (woman in late 50’s) pops in with a passive aggressive attitude demanding information. My wife started providing the full name, although prior to arriving we called the hospital to schedule a scan (from my PCP’s prescription to this location) and the phone clerk confirmed my name & DOB does NOT exist in the system. The older woman started getting nasty and demanding the address, my wife gave the most recent address and she started acting condescending stating thats not the address, then we provided an older address and then some other random nurse in the back sitting started chiming in to stop talking to my wife but ask the patient and ignore her. My blood pressure started spiking higher and higher because their incompetence and racism was taking over rather than caring for a patient in crisis. Thankfully a different nurse with a nurse hat working that shift was able to admit us into the ER room and isolate us from the racist, condescending, hostile, lazy and incompetent workers. The bedside manner of the medical professionals inside the ER room completely shifted thankfully. All the doctors were very polite and gave me attention but sadly I left without a resolution and was advised to be seen my pcp. I was discharged with 240 blood pressure because they stated it was “livable” since I had this issue for about 2 years and not 1 doctor can figure out the root of the problem to help me. I did return to my pcp the next day and they wanted to call the ambulance for me to be sent to the hospital because my blood pressure stayed high, at that time around 220. I did receive a message to see an endocrinologist but I want to know if they can relocate me to a Brooklyn location as the experience in the Manhattan location was horrible (minus the bedside manner of the doctors, they were very nice and tried to assist me, although refused to run any tests advised by my pcp). Management please retrain your staff to save their personal issues towards people who come with peace in need of desperate help, racism & hostility should be the last thing I should experience at a place where I should feel safe. Disappointed.

John Had an appt for 2:15 PM and arrived about 1:45 PM. I go to the main check-in area, they (I thought) checked me in and told me go down the hall to the left (Urology). I saw my prepaid copay was already on hold the minute I checked in, but apparently the actual check-in never went through. I went to Urology, packed office, no reception area and everyone just waiting. I take a seat. Wait till about 2:30 and still packed. After it thinned out at 3:30 PM, and only one other person was waiting who was there before me, I went up to the first operator who was a female (and apparently the same less than helpful person who I spoke to a few times on the phone) and I asked her if I was still waiting to be seen (as there was no receptionists here). The second operator helped, as she couldnt be bothered as she looked and turned away even though she wasnt on a call and they all had nothing to do. Come to find I was never checked in, even though I should have been when I went to the main check-in. Theyre check-in for Badanis office, but you would never know. No one is facing the entrance area, theyre desks are all facing the wall, and theyre all looking their computers and dont pay attention to anyone entering. I assumed theyre appointment operators. Its just the horrible layout of the place. Also doesnt help they had a check-in sign, but it was pushed all the way against the wall like it wasnt supposed to be there. Theres also a check-out desk on the left and a sign also pushed back against the wall, which that desk was empty the whole time I was there, so I assumed the check-in WAS that main area where they took my name, DOB, appt, etc. DO BETTER! Move the damn sign in front of your operators if you need to check in twice! Also make it so when I checked in the first time, it should have checked me in already, the guy said. I wasnt checked in at all! Also if you make an appt with Badani, you dont see him, you see Vassar his P.A. Usually they dont tell you this and just do the switcheroo. I wonder how that gets billed. This time though, the operator told me I wouldnt see Badani (who Ive never actually seen and dont believe he exists as every appt with him Ive never seen the guy). Hot as hell, left work 4 hours early to make the only available appt. The guy is done for the day and had teleconferences the rest of the day. I could wait, but they cant tell me when it would be done. 5, 6, 7, 8 and even then, would he still honor the appt? OR, I can reschedule with the same incompetent office. I chose the latter and will never be back! What the hell kinda reception area do you have where theres a main one that checks you in, doesnt work and then the smaller area, they ignore you and dont even look at you and look to be operators on the phone doing phone appts, even though it seems one person could do that job and they dont need 3 just sitting and waiting for calls while they surf their phones, make personal calls, etc. And if you do say excuse me, the woman acts like you interrupted her mid-surgery. HORRIBLE! Also, I received an email when I first sat down, made sure everything was in order, went to hit the "Check-in" button and it didnt work. It said go see reception. (This was after I had ALREADY checked-in so I didnt pay it any mind.) If you go here, make sure when you hit the waiting area to tell a phone operator youre there or youll be waiting in perpetuity! The whole check-in in person main desk, Badanis smaller check-in and the online check-in all needs a full reconstruction! So many fails had to happen for them to waste my time.

Waheed Abdul My wife was recently admitted in NYP for car-t cell transplant, and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The facility was clean, well-organized, and efficient. The reception staff was friendly and made the check-in process seamless. Her doctors were not only knowledgeable but also took the time to thoroughly explain my condition and treatment options. The nursing staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. I truly appreciated their patience and professionalism. Oncologist Dr Mejia is an outstanding physician. The hospital also maintained excellent hygiene and safety protocols, which made me feel secure during my visit. Overall, I’m extremely grateful for the outstanding care I received and would highly recommend NYP to anyone in need of medical attention.

As a caregiver who frequently visits various hospitals, I was particularly impressed by the professionalism and warmth displayed by the team. Overall, the visit was outstanding and truly exemplified high-quality care.

Austin Tousaw BEWARE! My mother is currently admitted and is getting absolutely unacceptable care. If your family or friends are not in the ICU and having delirium and are at risk of falling DO NOT go here. They do not listen to you or properly document incidents that occur. My mother had issues of climbing out of bed during the middle of the night then they refused to put a 1 on 1 with her or allow my father to stay over. They only changed their attitude once we were RIGHT and she fell out of bed which is extremely dangerous. In addition to this they forgot to put her medicine patch on TWICE after getting scans. Doctors who examined her were confused where it was it, this is a critical medication that they missed and allowed her not to have for 12+ hours. We have been working with patient services and nothing is changing. The only part of the hospital that world class is the ICU. Ill say the manager on the floor has stayed in close contact with us to ensure that after the third scan that her medicine is put back on correctly (which still should be standard care) and one of the day nurses Ahmed did all he was able to do for us. Only other highlight was the day nurse Jessica on the 8th floor but the night nurses were not equipped support with someone like my mother and put that on my father who stayed over and wasnt even supposed to be there (they made an exception). Wild to me that I have to continue to escalate to just get standard care...

Sabrina Johnson We had a midnight emergency (croup) when we first moved to the state. We took my 2 year old in to the ER, and they were so kind! They made her feel safe, our wait times were so short, and we were only in the building for 1.5hrs. They were also so understanding, and this is the first ER that took our medical history/medical allergies seriously. They were very very knowledgeable about our rare conditions as well which is something I’ve never seen in an ER setting! I was very impressed!

Ronald Coleman Firstly, I want to acknowledge the outstanding service provided by Dr. Oh and the attending nurses who provided exceptional care during my stay. Dr. Oh was very detailed and transparent. I never had any type of surgery prior to 2/24, but I didn’t have any anxiety going into the OR. I was made to feel at ease and assured that I would be well taken care of and I was. I want to highlight my first and best nurse Alice. What a delight! Great energy and attentiveness to go along with outstanding care and compassion. She truly went above and beyond and I could tell that she enjoys being of service to her patients. I really wished she was my nurse for my entire stay because she absolutely separated herself from the other attending nurses. Veronica, another nurse, provided noteworthy care as did Starlin, another nurse who was very nice, gentle and courteous. This would have been a 5 star review had I not had the unfortunate displeasure of witnessing as well as receiving blatant rudeness from the receptionist named Maddie. What a disrespectful, unprofessional and crass individual. On two occasions I witnessed her answer the line when the gentleman I shared a room with called and asked for assistance getting to the restroom. She answered and asked what was needed and when she was told what was needed she simply hung up the phone without saying anything. No “ok someone will be there shortly” or any other type of explanation or assurance that help would be en route as soon as possible so he had to run the risk of potentially injuring himself from going to the restroom alone. Something the staff constantly reiterated that we should not do. Later that evening I pressed the call button, she asked what I needed and I asked if someone can come close our door to which she gave no reply and simply hung up the phone just as she had done to my roommate earlier in the day. I pressed the call button again, she picked up and said “have at it.” Of course I contacted the nurses admin and reported her. Unfortunately, there’s always ONE. May she have all the days she deserves. ☺️☺️☺️

Boo Bear I can’t say enough how wonderful the one day surgery department was. From the start, I was greeted warmly by nurses and staff. I was given warming blankets, snacks, drinks during recovery. I didn’t feel rushed at all during recovering. Even between the switch of nurses shifts I didn’t notice a difference because everyone was so attentive and caring. Thank you nurses! Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

Brianna Caputo WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! The staff was so beyond rude they could care less about me. The front desk nurse told me in these exact words, “you are our last priority right now please get away from me if you want to leave there’s the exit” she deserves to have her license revoked at this point. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone and definitely will not be returning ever again in my life. You guys are a disgrace to the medical community and I hope for your sake you learn what compassion is and having a better bedside manner.

Karen Targove A close family relative was admitted through emergency for a serious condition and admitted for several days. Given it was the weekend , we expected nothing of substance to occur into Monday. Gratefully we were wrong. Tests were rapidly taken, with cat scans and MRIs as more information was needed conducted seamlessly and quickly. In the 13 hours each day I was visiting I was part of an amazing hospital experience. Everyone, and I mean everyone no matter what their role from the nurses, to the doctors, to the technicians, to the aids, to the food service staff exhibited excellent competence, communication, attentiveness, responsiveness and humanity. The thoroughness and thoughtfulness of her care resulted in a need for surgery that is scheduled for the following week which we can go into with full confidence

maeve kathleen The admin and front desk people are great but the place feels cold like a Black Mirror episode. Ive been handled like a piece of meat for blood draws (most pain ever on a blood draw in my life) and treated with blank blinking stares when my pcp met with me for the first time. Awful, so dehumanizing. I had a subsequent doctor visit that was OK, and I will keep trying. ADDITIONALLY they require sign up for a "mychart" website that DOES NOT WORK. Im so tired of signing up to a million of these sites, at least it should work properly. I get notifications that Ive been messaged only for it to be blank, constantly. Its been weeks since I got my tests done, for an example, and no updates. So, I am not happy at ALL, but this is the current state of healthcare and because of how helpful everyone is when I call, I will stick with it for a moment. I have a friend who comes here and swears by it so, here I am.

Gibelle Acosta I came to this office for an active medical concern and pain that I was having. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time, and while Im trying to check in Im told I have to wait due to a balance. Yes, I had a balance. I had changed insurances a while ago and for some reason this required multiple updates to NYP/Columbia so they could bill the correct insurance. I had spoken to billing 24 hours before my appointment and told them once the claims were processed Id pay as much as I can of the accurate balance (I had been told that my claims were denied again). The receptionist brings out the manager who did not introduce themselves. They basically repeated that I had a balance, how much could I pay, and that I needed to make a payment. Their attitude was condescending and I felt attackedm They insisted they were not denying me medical care, but they were publicly humiliating me discussing my business right next to the open waiting area, and making me late to my appointment. The manager then made me sit in the waiting area for about 15 minutes and I was then brought back to the front by the receptionist. I was given a phone and on it was Ann from one of the billing departments. She has an attitude that Ive dealt with before since she had called me recently, but I was exhausted and in pain and broke down crying on the call. I was put in a private office in the front to calm down (which could have been used to discuss this instead of out in the open in front of others in the waiting area). Eventually they let me go to my appointment. Lauren Golfer is an amazing NP, and my nurse Cynthia was incredibly sweet. I forgot the tech and second nurse who saw me names, but they were also wonderful. It was unfortunate that I was made to be so late by staff, and I hope I didnt cause too much problems in the schedule. The manager was adamant that my lateness didnt matter, but as someone who works in a non-profit clinic appointment times are important. Emergencies do haopen, and this was not one of them. This could have been handled with much more grace and tact. There are some amazing medical staff within NYP/Columbia, but theyre still under a business that clearly values money more than the person. My experience at this site was horrific and I will not return in person at least. I hope theyre more thoughtful of any future guests who may have a balance and are trying to get some much needed medical help.

anja gurin If i could put minus on the stars, i would definitely do so. I dont know how they are still not in prison for fraud operations? They literally use insurance company not even to double charge but in our two cases first time we were charged 20 times more than what is the non-insurance (cash price) for the procedure and second time 6 times more. And not only this: they never managed to send me the bill to the correct address which is in the city center, and instead of calling and double checking they preferred to wait a couple of months and then ask collectors to call me. Horrible and disgusting experience! Unbelievable! If you have an option of going anywhere else, please do. Feel really bad after getting in touch with this organization. Not to mention that in both cases the problems were not solved.

Li I always had a great experience from Mt. Sinai (in the ER Department). However I had surgery in the GP-2 at 1468 Madison, and the aftercare was not well. They also do not give enough information on the plan beforehand for you to know what to expect. So in periOperative care department/area, I got out at 4:20 PM on November 3rd. I was trying to close the curtain, but barely had the energy to walk or get up. The small drop-down table on the chair flipped down, and the 4 ounce apple juice fell on the floor. The male, older nurse got angry and irate. Then told me I need leave. He actually had the audacity to later come and pick a fight (high tone and quick words) with me (very poor bedside manner); he could have just easily said ‘sorry there was a misunderstanding.’ I told him we were probably having a cultural difference, and I told him he was being unprofessional. He kept trying to argue with me, but I asked him to stop. I wanted to get out of there so fast, I didn’t brush my teeth and put my used robe, sheets, and cover in the soiled laundry hamper (I didn’t want anybody complaining about any of my mess). I haven’t eaten since yesterday, but my appetite is gone for today (that was enough argument to last me for the week). The other fifty nurses were kind and nice.

Emmanuel Maria The neglect their patients. They don’t take their jobs as serious as they can they worry more about how many family members come see their patients. I ask for a supervisor and get different people coming up to me saying they are a supervisor and they are not. They take their time with going to attend the patients and leave them there until they feel they are ready to attend the patient. The called the cops on my family because it’s was a lot of them trying to visit my grandmother and they banned us saying we were be a big distraction on the floor and said they can arrest us for precaution. They are unacceptable. The head of nurses is very rude and do not know how to communicate. My grandmother been there for 1month and they have been running tests and telling her family she is fine. Unsafe, unsanitary no good communication.

Simple works The Mount Sinai Hospital has seen me through some of the most challenging times in my life, and for that, I am deeply grateful. I’ve spent numerous nights in this hospital, and my longest stay was two weeks. Throughout all my visits, the one thing that has remained consistent is the incredible care and compassion shown by the entire staff—nurses, doctors, and everyone involved. The nurses at Mount Sinai are nothing short of amazing. They have always treated me like family, attending to my needs with genuine care and without a hint of complaint. Their dedication to their patients is evident in everything they do, from the smallest tasks to the most critical care. It’s clear that their number one goal is to ensure that you walk out of the hospital feeling healthy and 100%. Knowing that you have people who care for you like family during such difficult times is a comfort that cannot be overstated. The doctors are equally remarkable, providing expert medical care with a level of professionalism and kindness that makes all the difference. They take the time to explain everything, ensuring that you feel informed and supported throughout your treatment. So, yes, I’m writing this five-star review to say thank you to The Mount Sinai Hospital. Thank you for being there when I needed it most, for treating me with respect and compassion, and for helping me get back to feeling like myself again. I can’t recommend this hospital enough to anyone in need of medical care. You’re in the best hands possible at Mount Sinai.

Dominique Horrible horrible horrible! I give it nothing but 0 stars. They will milk your insurance in every way possible. One of the ICU doctors said in front of my mother & the staff that my lungs were very “Marketable” red flag number one. I was discharged on Sunday by one of the doctors & they kept me there for several more days with no real reason. When I asked why am I still here they first stated I needed to see the social worker. When I finally saw the useless social worker they then started diagnosing me with other issues that I never had. Let’s also talk about how nobody in this place knows how to draw blood. The Nurses can’t draw blood, a few of the medical assistants knew how to draw blood better than the Nurses. I have great veins by the which they blew all my veins out. I had about 8-10 bruises all over my body, bruises were so big you would have thought I was in a DV situation. They have nothing but residents working on you who think they know it all and don’t listen to you. Had 2 residents tell me that my oxygen levels were low… my oxygen level was sitting at 96 which is normal. Had another resident tell me I had kidney failure when I never had kidney failure. Blood work came back & showed my kidneys were just fine. That same resident who put in my chart & kept saying that I had kidney failure told the nurse to give me a “IV bag”. When I asked her what was it she was giving me she stated “I don’t know”. I refused. The same nurse comes back in again & said “it’s for your heart”. I told her there’s nothing wrong with my heart. She then comes back in again and she says “well the doctor (the same resident) said if you take this medication he’ll let you go home”. When I refused again I told her to bring me the resident who was telling her these things. She went & got another resident & that’s resident implied that I was lying & making it up…MY TWO family members who were sitting there the entire time even said the nurse said those things & all the resident could say was “OH” & left. I never been more disgust by a so call hospital.

Gjil L 12 floor scanning center is quite ridiculous. Every time a pregnant woman comes in for a normal scan, they run about 1 hour late. Michael Emerson No complaints at all about the services I received here in fact the sonogram and cardiac MRI staff was exceptional from reception to the technicians. My review is about the building design. Specifically there is a long slanted ramp inside a medical building. I just dont quite understand who or why this is inside a medical building. Maybe it was necessary but Id love to take the designers and see them go up a ramp that long in a wheelchair. Then I would sit at the bottom of this ramp and watch them accelerate down the ramp in a wheelchair as they grind their hands on the wheels to slow down before they pick up speed. Them I would ask them why they would put this in a medical building. Im not exactly frail but going down this incline wasnt fun. Going up it would take some strength, I cant even imagine a older or sick person being able to do it at all without help. But I didnt see one building employee aside from security guards. Im hoping that theres a reason it has to be designed that way and for all I know theres other ways in and out that are more user friendly but I was taken to the building by someone who knew the building so apparently thats the best option, enter doors, go up incline, then you get to security-check in area. To leave go down incline to doors. Not impossible at all but just an unusual design for a medically oriented building IMO.

John B. I visited New York Presbyterian David Koch Center with my significant other on 05/15/2023 for an important lumbar puncture procedure. Unfortunately, our experience was highly disappointing and I feel compelled to share it as a warning to others. Initially, we were greeted cordially and the procedure was explained in detail. However, several red flags emerged during our visit. The miscommunication surrounding a pregnancy test caused unnecessary anxiety for my partner. Moreover, we were left ignored and disregarded for an hour and ten minutes in the prep room, with no updates or assistance. The behavior of a nurse named Jasmine was particularly unprofessional and deceitful. The lack of respect and genuine care became evident as the hours passed. When we decided to leave after waiting for four hours, Dr. Kim finally reached out, more concerned about avoiding a malpractice suit than understanding our frustration. It was clear that this facility was run by negligent, arrogant, and disrespectful individuals. Additionally, the lack of security measures raised serious concerns. Despite a metal detector and security guard, I was able to enter the facility twice with a knife and pepper spray, without any intervention. Such negligence is alarming, especially considering there is a maternity ward within the facility. I deeply regret choosing NY Presbyterian David Koch Center and urge others to avoid it. Take heed of the numerous negative reviews from other patients who share similar experiences. This facility failed to provide adequate care, demonstrating a lack of professionalism and compassion. I hope my detailed account serves as a warning to prevent others from enduring such a nightmare. Please report any similar experiences to ensure accountability.

A. Lozada I had an excellent experience at this facility under the care of Dr. Rosen. The hospital staff was attentive, professional, and made me feel at ease throughout the process. My procedure was efficient, and I was in and out within a few hours. While I can’t speak for the other doctors, I can confidently say that Dr. Rosen is an exceptional gynecologist. Her expertise, compassionate care, and clear communication truly stood out. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a skilled and caring GYN specialist.

Roger Jarman Last weeks experience for ambulatory surgery was excellent at such a convenient location too. From pre-op to recovery, the staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. They clearly explained every step of the process. The center was clean and modern, and the waiting areas were comfortable. My procedure was efficient and I felt well cared for throughout my stay. I highly recommend the Chelsea Medical Center for anyone needing outpatient surgery. Still waiting for my McDonalds - if you know, you know :)

Laura Pope I would strongly recommend against using any of the doctors in this clinic. They will schedule you for a certain time and have absolutely no regard for keeping to the time you were scheduled for. I traveled two and a half hours to get here with a 4 month old at home and childcare until a certain time and they were not planning for me to see the doctor until 1.5 hours until after my scheduled appointment time so now I have to leave and come back next week. Absolutely unacceptable. I want to ensure other potential patients are aware of this kind of mismanagement before enrolling with a doctor here.

Maria Cirillo My 77 yr old, mom has been receiving chemo treatment for a late stage of ovarian cancer at the Chelsea center for the past few months. Yesterday was my mom’s 4th visit for chemo and the most stressful experience thus far. For a hospital treating people with cancer you would think that they would be more accommodating and sensitive to the needs of the family. They say when one person has cancer, the whole family has cancer with them. To avoid long car rides that can trigger my mom’s stress levels, we usually take a 3rd person with us to access the HOV lane. My daughter came as she happened to be off from school. It was her second time coming to treatment. Upon entry to the infusion center the nursing assistant quickly denied access to my daughter explaining that only 1 person was permitted at a time to enter with the patient. Surprised, I asked her if the rules had recently changed because this was the first time we were ever told there was a limit in the amount of people entering and that my daughter had been permitted to stay with me in the past. Furthermore, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving her in the waiting room alone as she was a minor. She then explained that she would not be permitted because she was underage. I pleaded with the facility staff to please permit my child to enter for just today as I was completely unaware of this rule that had not been enforced in the past. I didn’t want to make a choice between supporting my sick mom or maintaining the safety of my 13 year old in a public facility. I spoke with the front desk supervisor, the patient representative coordinator and the nursing administrator, each person adamantly denied her entry, insistent on policy that could not be swayed in any way to accommodate the individual needs of our family on that particular day. In addition they tried to excuse the act by maintaining that it was a matter of safety for my own child since chemo is a highly hazardous treatment it could potentially put her health at risk. Im not sure how something being administered intravenously could be hazardous to my teenage daughter. I told the administrative staff that this was not my first rodeo- unfortunately cancer runs in my family and I have had to experience chemo treatments centers before in other hospitals. We were never given restrictions on age or number of people present. My mother was forced to be left alone for aprox 5 hours. I went in periodically throughout the day for a few minutes to check in on her. She was emotionally stressed being alone for such a long period of time while receiving chemo. I requested that the nurse practitioner who works with my mom’s oncologist to please speak with me when she arrived. I also posted a message in the portal for help from doctor and/or nurse practitioner. No one responded to my message or came out into the main lobby area where I was with my daughter to speak to me while they tended to my mom that day. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. It was an incredibly disheartening experience that has shaped my opinion and view of this treatment facility.

Danielle Rounick Worst doctor ever - I arrived 10 minutes late for my first appointment after coming from across town on a rainy day and the doctor refused to see me. Glad I didn’t make these people my new doctors.

Jamie Williams Extremely slow!!! Came in at 2PM & it’s just about midnight now and I have yet to be seen by a Doctor smh Never again! I was told that CT scan results can take anywhere from 2-4 hours. The medical personnel here are literally just dragging their feet and barely doing anything in the emergency department. Absolutely no communication or updates.

Danah Abdulaziz Horrible treatment on 9/16 I came to this hospital waited 3 hours and more to be seen. On 9/17 I was seen in the ER the nurse was horrible. I was left with an empty IV drip for a while. She dismissed me when I was seeking some assistance. That nurse knew I was pregnant. She didn’t even bother to check in once in a while. I seen people wait 2 hours for discharge papers.

ana castellanos The truth is that when an institution is made up of people who are really committed to the service and well-being of people, it shows! I filed a complaint with this platform which in less than 24 hours was taken into account and I am quite happy that it was so because it shows that they are people who are at the service of people and willing to improve and maintain the quality in their institution, very good work and I hope that it always stays that way, that they are one of the most prestigious places and with such good human quality, congratulations for your management definitely this hospital has the best manager and people in charge!!!!

G Frye I brought my children to see Dr. Hiltebeitel. She is professional and efficient. Our nurse was great too. The visit went smoothly. We arrived on time in the morning and were seen on time. Their online portal offers a lot of options too. And we got the school forms filled out beautifully. I appreciate the West Side Weill Cornell Pediatric Primary Care team!

Courtney Howard SCAM EMAIL: if you are coming here to see if the email you got is a scam, it is. Ignore any email appearing to be from a Dr of this practice asking for anything as a dying wish from their patient.

Sheen He Dr. Carolyn B. Hiltebeitel is an excellent Pediatrician. The nurse/PA Yulia S. who saw us before the doctor was terrible. She had no patience and behaved very poorly with my 1 yr old son who is very scared of doctors visits. She made the start of the visit horrible and unnecessarily difficult. My son cried and screamed the whole time clinging onto me while she did the measurement. In contrast, Dr. Carolyn B. Hiltebeitel and Richard S. were amazing. Richard S. gave my son 4 shots and he only cried a tiny bit with the last shot. Richard was patient, and had excellent bedside manners. Dr. Hiltebeitel was similarly patient, calm and caring. It was a disappointing way to start our first visit given the lack of care and patience Yulia S. had. I will go back, only if Yulia S. is NOT assisting my son.
