adrienne brown By far one of the best doctors I couldve hoped for. Dr. Safier started treating my daughter approximately 1 year ago. When we went to him, my daughter suffered with terrible allergies that triggered asthma attacks. She would have to go to the hospital sometimes multiple times during the year. Since being under Dr. Safiers care, she has gone from multiple attacks and hospital visits, to no attacks and zero hospital visits. Dr. Safier put an action plan together that was very thorough, it covered every possible scenario. Both he and his staff made sure I understood my daughters treatment and how to provide at home care along the way. Awesome doctor, definitely reccomend!

Ronald Fisher I can’t say enough good things about Carline in the Riverhead Lab. She is gentle, compassionate, capable, and thorough. I know everything is going to be neat and organized when I see her. My doctor didn’t fax my blood work script. Instead of turning me away, she spoke with the on-call physician on a Saturday who read off the labs so I didn’t have to come back. Carline is one of the most exemplary phlebotomists that I have come across at Northwell.

Don Bracken Dr Avvento is the best. Hes always looking for the best treatments he can find for the individual. He has been my guy for 19 years and I consider him a good friend too. Hes kept my brother in law alive for almost 20 years with a type of cancer that is hard to fight.

Audrey Hausig, MMT, MT-BC Dr. Avvento caused my father undue pain and suffering. Despite being his doctor for many years, when my father was diagnosed with nodules throughout his organs, Avvento told him not to worry. He delayed the CT scan and then delayed the biopsy. He agreed to do a virtual appointment to read the results and then delayed it by hours and only did a phone call when we threatened legal action. He ordered chemotherapy with a high risk for bleeding despite my father having extremely low platelets (something which Avvento had treated him for for over 10 years). Throughout this process, despite my father clearly having metastatic pancreatic cancer, he refused to give him a clear prognosis and when pressed repeatedly he finally said 3-6 months, when it was in fact just over a week. This cowardly refusal to speak honestly and frankly made things much more difficult than they already were. The continued delaying of appointments and procedures was agonizing. If this man is unable to have tough conversations, he probably shouldnt be working in oncology. People who are dying deserve the dignity of the truth, even if it makes the doctor uncomfortable. His office was often unwilling to talk to my brother and I despite our legal medical proxy status. He did not order the full biopsy tests he should have and had to go back and retest for us to know genetic information. I recommend getting out from his care immediately and know that if he orders test, you are stuck with him until he chooses to read results (which will happen late and inaccurately) because other doctors are not allowed to share results.

Leggard Vanessa Dr. Verona Young, takes the time to listen and discuss what your problems are, she is very through and took the time to explain my blood test results. Staff is very friendly and professional. I really appreciate the technology aspect with the patient portal. I love having all of my doctors on the same network, they talk to each other and my overall health and wellness are better. My only issue is that the follow up has to be initiated by me. I find that although they are really quick with putting my results in my patient portal which is greatly appreciated they often lack follow-up. Most of the results are super easy to decipher when reviewing on the portal, they need to be explained by a professional and I have found that I have had to request a follow up visit instead of the office reaching out to schedule a phone call with the physician or the physician adding a note in my portal to say all is good or please call the office to schedule a follow-up to discuss your results. I have found this to be an ongoing concern.

Theres no reason why I should have to sit next to a sick person/child when I am just getting bloodwork and potentially bring something home to my family.

I found her to be a very caring person who gave you enough time when you were in her office. She listened to what you had to say, and worked very closely with you. I envy all the folks who are lucky enough to have her for their doctor. I wish she was down here in South Carolina, where I am located now. I miss her.

Lisa Douglas-Aubé I decided to try this urgent care in my home town when sick last week. First problem: online said wait time was 5-10 mins. Got there and it was over 30 mins wait time. (Only takes 5 mins from my home). Saw the doctor who told me my diagnosis and said he would give me a work note and prescriptions. Second problem: never asked or verified if I had any issues with the prescriptions given. Third problem: never got a work note. Have made 5 attempts (2 online, 2 phone calls and one in person) to get a simple note excusing me from work due to the flu. Should not have to work this hard for a medical excuse note when I was seen in the office. Will not be going back there. Will take my chances driving to Manorville for the PBMC Urgent Care.

Kristen Goetz I want to give ZERO ⭐️. They dont care about you. I went there no one in waiting room and still waited over half hour to be seen. I finally get inside nurse does there thing sends in doctor.... doctors does nothing but walk in the room and say will prescribe medication that will help my symptoms. I was still sick for weeks. I was not diagnosed correctly at all. They dont take you seriously. And the people at the front desk dont want to be bothered with anything except taking your money. I had to ask multiple times for a doctors note for work but all the note would say is I can work long as I dont have a fever. So had to work and I lost my job!! I was not ok to work!!

Dara Santoro CityMD was the second urgent care I went to, as I primarily live in Orange County, NY. Staff was very friendly and the provider I saw was excellent. I believe she saved me from pneumonia. I highly recommend the CityMD group of Riverhead. I wish there was one in Orange County.

Phoenix RedHawk If I could give zero Stars I would. I arrived there around 4:00. Friday December 13th. I was wheezing and coughing and throwing up. I was not given a chest x-ray. I have been in the medical field in excess of 35 years from ear, nose and throat to cardiology to family practice, etc. Symptoms were used as my diagnosis by the physicians assistant and additionally I was given the incorrect medication. I became so ill from not being treated for the right diagnosis or with the right medication that here it is December 27th and I am still home from work. Thankfully I went to a different walk-in on Christmas day was treated professionally, compassionately. My vitals were taken and x-ray was taken. Everyone at northwell near Walmart in this facility was professional. I am so grateful to finally be getting better due to the Northwell team. All courteous and seemed happy to be working on Christmas to help people. From what I have seen past at City, MD, including my own troubling issues with misdiagnosis and incorrect medication, I will not be referring anyone to City, MD. Id rather go to anywhere else.

Bonnie Kessinger I had been using this office for years but as the larger organization grows the rules and policies are hard to navigate. I unfortunately suffer with periodic ear infections. The doctor at ENT and Allergy directed me to call his office to be seen instead of going to urgent care to ensure that I am given the right recommendations. The offices never have openings though! Now I was given a next day option in a location far away from me. I accepted and rearranged my whole day to attend but due to traffic was 15 minutes late. The office would be open for another 2 hours but they said I was too late to be accommodated. They refused to see me and told me to go to the Emergency room instead. I have been a patient for years and have often waited long periods of time for my appointment but today they would not have the courtesy to help me. I’ll never be using this practice again.

Eileen Mackey I saw an audiologist and Dr. Braat yesterday. The hearing exam was thorough and professional, and I was able to get a copy of my report. Dr. Braat was knowledgeable and professional, as usual, and prescribed a medication that has a comforting 90% rate of success for my condition after listening to my complaint. I took off one star because of the wait time. My appointment was at 3, and I wasn’t called in until almost 4, which is unusual for this practice. Also, I’m not sure why, but I had to make a separate appointment to look at their hearing aids.

After a brief discussion with the utmost rudest desk clerk, I conceded and made my way to Patchogue. At the Patchogue facility I was treated pleasantly and expeditiously. As for the Patchogue reps, nothing short of rude and dismissive. In short we served. We are only looking for the care afforded to us by by the DOD. Stop worrying about health care for illegal aliens and start treating the Vets of America.

Cathy Clayton It is unfortunate that some of the staff at the Shirley office are rude/unprofessional in the way they spoke to a family member of the patient. Juliana (front desk) and Michele (medical assistant) were both snippy and discourteous. I was quite disappointed and frustrated. In addition, I asked for a return call from my fathers doctor, which I did not receive. Perhaps no message was left. My question needed a prompt answer (as I explained), yet no one called back. Since this incident left me with an uneasy feeling, I decided to call another office and schedule the specific test. I never got a call back, even though Michele said someone would get back to me -- that day. It is vital to have staff that are willing to listen to the issue at hand, answer questions, and not be curt or snippy.

G Juma Came in with a cough, runny nose, dry eyes, and body ache. I was seen by Dr Duffy. She came in unprepared and didn’t look at my record on the online system. She prescribed a yellow pill and she informed me that it works on some patients. Not sure why a Dr gives out medication to patients that has 50% chance of working. I took a full day of dosage and did nothing for me. Next day I called the office early AM and asked for a different medication. Late PM, I called the pharmacy and was informed the Dr didn’t call new medication in. So I called the office and asked that my health got worsened and I was informed that Dr Duffy is not in the office and will return tomorrow and she definitely will get back to me. Three days later, no words from the office or Dr Duffy. For a medical organization like this, I was totally disappointed that there is no backup Dr to take on writing me another script. Very unprofessional treatment of patients and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I know.

The front desk was very friendly and Joan was helpful in getting my CT prescription to me. My wait time to see the doctor was 5 minutes. Amanda took my vitals, my medical history and my lab work (which was painless) Amanda is very soft spoken, calming, and we’ll informed. Dr. Duffy was great, very approachable, and addressed all of my concerns. I felt very confident in her hands, so I have decided to change my primary care physician to Dr. Duffy.

Diane Dinnigan I was a patient of Dr Abrar for about a year. Every single visit was an ordeal but it was the last visit where I decided that I could no longer take his abuse. My medical history is complicated and he actually told me and I am not paraphrasing here that I was stupid because I had to have 4 lumbar surgeries in 9 years. He said it was my fault for choosing these doctors. He was completely unaware of what the surgeries were for and who did them. I do not recommend going especially if you are a woman.

K M Dr Abrar is a kind and knowledgeable doctor. He took me in as a new patient very quickly and made sure to be extremely thorough with his examination. He made me feel very well taken care of.

Virginia Cleary `Hi my Name Virginia, and I have been a client at Quannacut outpatient in Riverhead I have beeen attending over 2 years now. I was assigned a counselor named Morgan Mecalianos, and boy did I hit the jackpot! I have to admit the 1st 6 months I barely attended and when I did I was still was in active addiction and struggling with mental health. I was in a very dark, dangerous and place. I was being evicted facing a homeless shelter and silently suicidal. I was eventually received an intervention by family and went into ELI Quannacut hospital under Dr. Hoverkemp’s care, Morgan helped convince me a higher level of care would be beneficial and I had the option off going in voluntarily to straighten out my mental health meds. I was already sober at this point. having moved I was away from people places and things that contributed to my using. I had been making some groups and being to form a relationship with my therapist. I began to trust the woman that I in the beginning sat in judgement that she was younger than me, would never understand me or be able to tell me anything I didn’t already know. Boy did I have another thing coming. The way she went about helping me with my medications was in a way that gave me a sense of empowerment, she gave me a choice, her at Dr. H let me be a part of my treatment plan. I came out and continued to listen in groups and develop a trust and respect for all the coping skills I was learning, all the patience she had with me. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She told me I was smart, she told me I was capable, she kept challenging me with finding passions, things I today enjoy. Gardening, painting, coloring, the love of animals, reading and the urge to help others who once felt as hopeless as I felt. Morgan went over and beyond we she helped set up transportation, she taught me to take care of by health (Gastro, neurology, pysical therapy and my first ever mammogram at 56 yrs old and know waiting the dentist). Morgan has given me so much insight to myself and my mental health diagnosis what triggers it how to combat it with many coping skills, how to eliminate anxiety and a deeper understanding of who I was and what I was becoming, a strong confident and now responsible member of society. I share with others what I learn and pass on valuable life saving skills. Morgan has helped me to prepare to go to school which I should be starting soon. Numerous phone calls, paperwork and faxes on behalf of me. Incredible. The things I have learned and continue to learn will benefit me for years to come. I especially appreciate how she tellls me what I need to hear not what I want to hear. Staying healthy, I have worked through my short, medium and now am in my long terms goals. The maintenance part of my life, I live most days very content and I know I am thriving. I have hopes and dreams and that has been because of this kind ,smart empathetic but no bullshit kind of counselor excuse the language but these disorders are a matter of LIFE AND DEATH. I am forever grateful for Morgan and look forward to doing deeper work with her and DR. H. They have given my a life beyond my wildest dreams. I have a forever home here at my mothers I have become an asset. I learned to be responsible for others it’s not all about me anymore but I try always to put my mental health first or I am good to no one. I can’t wait for school, My fin. Aid went threw and I look forward to helping and giving others the hope i have Thank you Morgan. The words dont feel adequate to how my mind, heart and soul feel. April This would be an excellent center for treatment if Psychiatry there was different/changed. Many get the best care possible by their therapist, and in groups but then need to deal with one of the Psychiatrists. One who is angry before you even walk through his door. You may want to choose telehealth instead, (to avoid the anxiety of walking into an office where your providers attitude is unpredictable). And sitting in an overcrowded waiting room where everyone in rushed in and out. Then, youre encountering another challenge. A phone call instead of telehealth, which will last (literally), 2-3 mins. Hell quickly say hello, then explain how busy he is and wants to know what meds need to be called in. God for bid youre not well and need a med change. Then youre screwed. Thats it.. thats your monthly, or bi-monthly appointment. Be aware of medical gaslighting as well.

Kiyana Wilson Quannacut Outpatient is Great but I must say the sober house which I lived for the past 4 months was horrible and its not even the people that live there but quannacut staffing and rules. They discriminate people for talking about their religion even using the word God kicking people out. A few people they kicked out, and I understand we are grown and have to be accountable for our actions but they kick people out and these people are losing their lives. They make it very hard for people thats in recovery. If you need to go to court or DSS shopping wash clothes they wont even give you a bus token most of us woman dont have income. I thought quannacut was there to help people but in most cases lately they w just been making things so hard I hope they get things together and to the person that got kicked out and is now living on the streets just because he was talking bout the Lord but making every group and not using man you should sue them !!!!

Robert OConnor My medication has lapsed 3 months in a row. Going into discontinuation syndrome constantly. Front office doesnt even acknowledge your existence, return calls, or forward critical messages to doctors.

Thomas Ryan I’d love to add to my review Hannah, Bella, Michelle and I believe Mary at the front desk. As well as dr. Bhattacharya who has taken over the reigns for me from Dr. Asif with also Dr. Delucia and I’m more confident with every visit, phone call, confirmation. These teams help allow me to focus on the other behavioral techniques I need too. I’m serious when I say I would give my doctor, Dr. Asif 10 stars if I could. It’s nice to see familiar faces like Dr. Constantine from when I was at inpatient. I had the gift of meeting Dr. Asif on my birthday. This professional not only became a huge advocate for me and allowed me to advocate for myself.Dr. Asif has seamlessly moved me from my hospital medicine as I call it into more functioning medicine for my bipolar disorder. I haven’t felt this good in 7 months. I never planned on going away and spent 33 days in the acute psychiatric ward. The feeling heard and lessons learned, and books suggested. Overall communication/service was far exceeding my expectations even though the staff at the inpatient was excellent too you can tell the Stonybrook team is a well oiled machine. Dr. Asif is a prime example of that and calmness to the next level, that says a lot with a high nervy patient like myself. With high regards I say thank you doctor. The motivation provided by this team member for somebody like me that was not okay when I left truly helped bring me to another level. Plenty more work to do, however, I would be disappointed in myself if I let him down. Relationship building and feeling heard is huge. Again a great example of a leader and what SBU psychiatrics is all about in my opinion. I’m shocked with the performance with Dr. Asif. Always logical reasoning, ability to say no, however game plan alternatives and as long as you are serious he will steer you in the right direction. Thank you sir. It means a lot more than you would think.

ANNE HAQ You couldn’t get a better doctor anyway she listens to your knees. She discusses everything with you by your part of the decision process, and she has always helped me no matter what my problem has been and it’s easy to get an appointment and very very nicely located and the staff is also very sweet.

RoseAnn Gallo I have been a patient of Dr. Brook for 12 years, and he is simply the BEST!! Dr. Brook is very knowledgeable, caring, always LISTENS, and treats the whole person. His new office at 300 Old Country Road in Riverhead is beautiful, clean and so well run by his professional, friendly staff. They draw blood for tests at the office, which is a plus. I cant say enough good about Dr. Brook. He is like a trusted friend, and I feel very blessed to have him as my physician. Highly recommend!

Donald Nunemaker Dr Bellamy Brook has been my primary physician for over 20 years. There is no other doctor I would want as my primary. He is so knowledgeable and has a very kind compassionate heart and he always has a smile on his face. I never feel rushed and he always explains everything in a way I can understand. And his staff are all wonderful he is the type of family doctors that were around when I was a kid thank you Dr Brook for always being there for me God bless

Judy Krizsan I saw the nurse practitioner, Valerie. She had such a rotten attitude. Valerie talked down not only to me, but to my daughter as well. It took her 4 days to send my blood pressure medication to the pharmacy, and she failed to let me know. I spoke with Dr Brook briefly and he seemed like a pleasant guy
