Joanne Walessmith Excellent service and professional employees. The worst place in Monroe County for handicap parking. There are spaces, but usually have to wait. The handicap spots are a mile away from the building!! Im grateful for the ambassador assistance which is long overdue. Calling them upon arrival is the greatest service. The ambassador will come to the parking lot with a wheelchair and take you to your appointment. They also will bring you back to your car after your appointment. Im so grateful. Thank You. .

Michelle Crawford Dr. Maroldo in neurology is one of the best doctors Ive ever met. He gave me his full attention for over an hour and offered both medicinal and natural remedies for my illness. He was thorough and explained everything very well without making me feel talked down to, and then asked what I wanted instead of telling me what to do. If it wasnt so far from home Id happily go to URMC for all of my medical needs if the rest of the staff are half as good as Dr. Maroldo! The receptionist was also very nice and patient and the whole place was clean and modern. Thank you URMC!

Cali Boone If I could give zero stars I would . Their staff will treat you like just another pregnant woman. If you’re 15 minutes late they will make you feel horrible over it it’s certain office staff not all one is nice the other is the complete opposite. They made me feel like a child . Then the doctors on staff aren’t very nice either I wouldn’t say they’re rude but the demeanor needs work and how they talk to people and look at people the nurses are all pretty nice as far as I know . On top of that there is no air conditioning so dizzy spells will be a thing if you’re prone to that in heat . Definitely worse ob office I’ve been to . And won’t be back.

Juliana Marie I wish I could give this place zero stars for real, The first time I went there the lady at the front desk gave me the wrong address and date for my appointment and I went there and wasted my time.. Mind you I was already not feeling good I was still in my first trimester of pregnancy with horrible nausea and moving around to unnecessary places because she gave me the wrong date and everything, they don’t know how to get paperwork done on time it will take FOREVER, I was prescribed a medication that’s dangerous for pregnant women so if you go here be mindful of what they are trying to prescribe you especially if you’re young, I’ve heard a lot from my family and much more people that they love to mess with the younger moms. I switched somewhere else and will never ever go back there

Thomas Wolfe Staff is empathetic and validating. From my original call I told them I am seeking diagnosis and need help and wanted a mental health evaluation. Scheduled an appointment, met a counselor I was lead to believe that it takes time to schedule an evaluation with someone who can diagnose (2/3 months) but that I could be helped 3rd visit in three weeks and only now is it clarified that they engage exclusively in talk therapy and that I will have to go elsewhere for testing (they CANNOT facilitate that care/testing) If you have nobody else to vent to and need someone to listen they are wonderful. If you need diagnosis or direct/constructive help, they will not be able to help you here (though if you are unsure of what help you need, they may be able to refer you BUT be very clear that you need something in excess or addition to talk therapy if thats what you need because they are unlikely to pick up on indirect/unclear communication

David Streever The doctors seem fine, but the office staff is prone to errors and does not deliver appropriate documentation to schools. After having issues with a daycare, pre-k, and primary school, I called to complain and was told by a nurse who acknowledged that they had failed to update the state portal, but claimed it was the schools fault. I can not trust a medical practice that points fingers and blames others for clear patterns of mistakes, and I would not bring a child to this practice. They also can not manage any sort of email communication or faxes and only work by phone, which usually involves 30-45 minutes of hold time and then someone has to call you back anyway, which makes you wonder why they cant just call you back from a submitted message/email. I really would encourage anyone looking for a pediatrician to ask yourself if you want to deal with the school sending your child home in their first week because your doctor cant get the vaccination paperwork done - can you just leave work and sort it? How do you explain the problem to your child? Is this what you want to be doing with your time?

Although there was not a doctor we meet here that we didn’t like. I had many appointments (just this year) which we had to cancel with short notice, and I never once got attitude from the staff or received warnings about canceling too often. When I was running late I called to ask if we could still be seen and they worked with us so that my children didn’t go without care. Their staff are wonderful, patient and compassionate.

amy emens Review of Golisano Children’s Hospital and Pediatric Emergency Room Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) As a parent of a special needs child, finding a medical facility that not only meets my son’s needs but also provides a compassionate and supportive environment can be challenging. However, I can confidently say that Golisano Children’s Hospital stands out as the best choice for pediatric care in our area. We recently visited their Pediatric Emergency Room, and I was once again reminded of why this hospital is our go-to place, despite living closer to another facility. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. They quickly addressed my son’s needs with professionalism and warmth, making what could have been a stressful situation much more manageable. During our stay, we were admitted to Tower Eight North, where we had the pleasure of being cared for by two exceptional nurses, Samantha and Will. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness made all the difference for my son, Tyler, who is known for his playful spirit. Samantha and Will not only provided outstanding medical care but also took the time to engage with Tyler, making him feel comfortable and valued. Their ability to connect with him and nurture his unique personality is a testament to their dedication and love for their work. It is evident that the staff at Golisano Children’s Hospital are not just employees; they are passionate individuals who truly care about their patients. Samantha and Will exemplify the hospital’s commitment to providing excellent care, and I believe they are invaluable assets to the team. Their compassion and professionalism shine through in every interaction, and I am incredibly grateful for the positive experiences weve had at this facility. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Golisano Children’s Hospital for any pediatric needs. The combination of expert medical care and heartfelt compassion creates an environment where both children and their families can feel safe and supported. Thank you, Samantha and Will, for your unwavering kindness and for making Tylers experience a wonderful one. We are fortunate to have such a remarkable hospital in our community.

Vanessa Acheatel If you have a child who is in a mental health crisis, I suggest that you take them to another county for care. Golisano makes it seem like they have top notch facilities and care at their hospital, but let me tell you…the mental health facilities for these poor kids is absolutely despicable. They make children stay in their rooms to eat food, and discourage them from talking to anyone. The rooms are disgusting and not cleaned after the last child that was in there. They put children together who have different issues. For example child who is suffering from major depression is kept up all night by a child who has major anger control issues and screams all night. There should be separate units for different problems if you truly care about child’s healing and wellbeing. Speaking of that, my child was woken up in the middle of the night to be moved out of his room and completely out of his side of the tiny sad excuse for a psych unit because of two other kids were fighting and had to be separated. 3 in the morning my child had to sit in a glass room waiting to be put somewhere else. My child has major anxiety. He was starting to do well in group therapy because he started building connections with these kids he was with; then he gets yanked out in the middle of the night and put with kids he doesn’t know all because of other kids actions? He was improving and just tanked again! Can I also mention the times where they were supposed to go to gym on the weekend but were kept in this tiny little unit because they had no one to take them? Because they were understaffed? And discharged my son before he was even ready because you wouldn’t move him back to where he was. Shame on you, Golisano! You act like you guys are state of the art…well BS. I trusted you with my child, and you completely showed me how much you guys do not care about certain departments…which means you only favor certain children. You failed my child, and I am sure you’re failing other children as well. I am disgusted by what my child was not only living in for a few days, but how they were treated, and went through. Your facilities are the reason my child has once again tanked. You should be so ashamed! When is the last time you guys have changed those blankets or pillows? Or even upgraded a bed. Everything is old and run down. Terrible.

Joshua Samere Damn saved my life! Shout out to the Pediatric Nephrologist Dr. Mark Lande In June 2017 I was around 8 years old and I had Nephritis refers to inflammation of the kidneys, and there are several types, including: Glomerulonephritis (GN) and it was very scary the place was like a dream! At first I was in the basement (ER) and it was pretty bad. Kids very sick and it was sort of dirty. Then they needed to keep me overnight so we went to the main part of Golisano Children’s Hospital and it was AMAZING! There was a playroom and I got a keyboard and stuff to play video games on my tv in my room! It truly was amazing. My PN Dr. Mark Lande was absolutely wonderful! I went back Jan 2024 after I was at Strong West earlier that day for Testicular Torsion. Strong West couldn’t help me because it was so bad. I was transferred to Golisano again. I was in the basement again but this time it was really bad. There was a TON of people who looked homeless just laying all over the hallways on the ground! It was super weird. I needed emergency surgery fast! So I sat in a room with a few Drs and it was really weird and quite. I changed into my gown, they gave me anesthesia and Next thing I knew I was rolling down the hall with Doctors all around me and I got to the surgery room and I was still awake but not for long. They had me laid on a mat that had handles on it and they lifted my with it and put me on the surgery table and I was nocked out. When I woke up I was in EXCRUCIATING pain! But they gave me a slushy in a cool cup. Golisano Children’s Hospital is just a wonderful place and makes you feel a lot better when your in a bad health situation. Thank you Dr. Lande and the Golisano Children’s Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital and U Of R staff!

Tara Schaefer Our daughter recently had a fast spreading infection that landed us in the ED and eventually 8 South. We were blown away at how accommodating every single person we came into contact was. It was like we were at home with the comforts of a hospital- not the other way around! Our 3 year old left feeling that hospitals are cool and fun. While we hope we dont need their services again, I can sleep easy knowing we have such an amazing childrens hospital right in our backyard.

Terry Spak Appalling abuse of position in harassing a local radio host who questions how the pandemic is managed locally; valid questions with thousands of *opposing professional and expert viewpoints* that Mendoza will not even consider based on either/both ego or ignorance. I reference abuse of his "position," and not his "authority" in using local police officers to harass a radio show host at their home. He does not have the authority to do so to begin with, and this could constitute criminal abuse of a position that warrants an investigation and disciplinary action or outright charges. I would encourage the radio host to pursue a civil suit against this man for the trauma he caused to their family. Any respectable doctor will listen to opposing points of view as well as the actual facts and stats proving that different policies from his own can and do work (such as the countless areas that are fully or near-fully open with perhaps rises in infection rates...but NO RISE IN MORTALITY RATES). We are all sick of the "rise in infections" due to *testing* being used as a media tool when the rates of death remain low and in tandem with seasonal flu numbers. Get this man out of this position NOW. He refuses to even answer questions, and he is NOT operating in the best interests of the community. *Tens of thousands of local people are suffering because of this man*.

Sabrina Verbridge Used to be a great practice, I have had numerous problems getting my childrens prescriptions filled, getting health records sent to school, and have even been told that theres nothing wrong with my kids when there clearly is. My son has gone here for 7 years now and we are in the process of changing offices due to all the negative experiences we have had, and theyre not even making that easy! The receptionist told me they would send out my paperwork months ago for this change and the new office still has yet to receive anything. If your child has a development problem or any type of disability, especially ADHD or autism, I would seriously recommend a different office as this one will just ignore your concerns or try to medicate your child without any other steps

Lorenny We couldn’t imagine ourselves in another practice. From the moment you enter the office, the girls at the reception smile at you and help you with everything. We have been with Dr. Liano since the birth of my two little ones, but he also cares for our 9 year old son. The kids love him, they always talk about him at home! We come from a country where the relationship between doctor and patient is extremely close and Dr. Liano has connected in a very empathetic and special way with our family, which makes us feel at home. I have cried in his office, he has shown us sympathy, he has helped us to be parents and when we go it is like a positive therapy always encouraging us and telling us how well we take care of our children. Dr. Liano is part of our family. It is very difficult to see another doctor in the office when he is not there and although they are all very good we do not change the laughter and the good time with Dr. Liano. The nurses team is awesome and they all have a very sweet voice especially Amanda. The are extremely patient with children and they will go beyond expectations to get them vaccinated and tested for anything. I trust them, I have recommended them and I will never change them. Keep it up Unity Pediatrics!

Nichole B I mean everyone has their own experience and views but I have been taking my son here for about a year now. I love his Dr (Liano). From the first moment I took my son it was like an instant Dr/patient connection. He didnt just come in there and start poking around on him. He played with him and in the process was checking things he needed to check while asking me questions and getting things done in a timely manner. You could definitely tell it was something natural and that was awesome because my son was almost 16 months at the time and we had just moved up here so he was a new Dr for us both. The only thing I dont like is the looking waiting room wait and that you cant set an appointment more than 48hrs in advance. I mean we do have single working parents and I hate giving my job last min notices. Other than that its cool

Krissy Vee Im being generous with the one star Ive given them. Worst Dr office experiences Ive ever had. Staff is unprofessional, my childs previous Dr was a weirdo (ask around if youve been there you know who Im talking about) they constantly forget to send notices for next appts and Ive received mail intended for other family members more times than I can count. So if you want to take your child somewhere youll constantly be getting the run around, have a Dr you wouldnt dare leave your kid with unattended for more than even a second, have your personal info sent to other people in your family, and if you never want to get your childs shots done in a timely manner then this is the perfect pediatric for you!

Marilyn Frappolli I have been trying since the second week in January to set up an appointment with Dr. Song. When I call the appointment line they refer me to another number where this person processes new patients. The line never rings; it only has a recording that states because of the high number of calls you need to leave a message. Ok, Ive been doing this about 3 times a week since January. I do get a call back the next day but, unfortunately, I havent been home to receive the call. As soon as I get the message I call back and the scenario goes on and on. I wonder if the doctors in this practice know how difficult it is to get in with them. If I EVER manage to get an appointment, Ill certainly tell them how ridiculous this has been. At the very least, they need another person to process these new calls. Maybe its time to look for someone else if this is any indication of how difficult it is to get an appointment.

Lindsay Dailor It’s crazy to me that this facility does not have more reviews, and positive ones at that. I’ve always had a great experience here. I switched over from my regular doctor managing my thyroid disease to Lorraine Medina and she is the first doctor I have felt like has treated me with respect and listened to what I have to say. She has communicated very well the past several years I’ve been seeing her and I wouldn’t ever want to go back or prefer anyone else. Most recently, my insurance no longer covered my thyroid medication, which sent me into a spiral. Luckily, I was able to connect with Andrianna and she was AMAZING. Stayed in touch with me every step of the way and moved the process along so incredibly quick. She called me prior to the weekend starting to let me know my insurance approved their request and I would be covered for the next year. That is exceptional and above and beyond customer care. I appreciate everyone I talk to at this establishment and feel my care is in great hands. Thank you everyone.

V L The doctor at this location is awesome! Glad my love one is understanding their illness and a doctor who cares. Only rated a 4 because there is one older receptionist who wears a big hat in the office that thinks she can talk to you in a rude, rachet condescending manner and she shouldnt be working at the front desk. I remained composed only because the doctor here is great and wouldnt want her to interfere wirh The care of my loved one. The office manager needs to hold her accountable this not the first time (over the phone) she has sarcastically said slick comments and thinks she is talking to a child, she also walked into the lobby staring me down and gossiping with her coworker unprofessional! Next time I will go higher up but an office manager needs to remind her of the code of ethics in caring for patients people are ill and dont need to be huddled with the likes of this individual. The well being of patients is priority and starts at the front desk!! However, I would like to command the friendly staff at the front who are always kind cant let this one rotten apple take your joy or effect your over all well-being! Thank you to those who always are polite caring and kind!

Carmella Musgrove I really hate how RRH sets up appointments with patients. If you have been seen within 3 years, then you are considered a new patient. Now, I have to wait 4 months out to be seen as a consultation appointment which in 30 minutes and have to wait some more for an actual appointment for and issue that I have already been seen for in the past. In other words, the issue I had before can be taken care of the same way as from one appointment. During my consultation appointment the doctor withh discuss my symptoms, ask my questions, and go over my ultrasound. Only to tell me I have to schedule another appointment for another biopsy. If theres an issue I will have to schedule yet another appointment. CAN WE JUST CUT TO THE CHASE AND MAKE THE CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT COMBINED. I should have made a appointment every year to make sure I kept my patient status current, so that Im never seen as a NEW PATIENT! This is extremely frustrating when you have to keep coming back!

Brooke Cocuzzi I worked with Dr. Li, he is incredibly intelligent and went above and beyond. To date, he is all around the best doctor I’ve ever worked with. Anyone would be lucky to have him on their care team!

Taylor Bloise Theyre pretty phenomenal. My a1c is lowering little by little and they work with my incredibly annoying insurance who didnt want to approve the dexcom g6. I also really like the doctor Mara Schroeder who understands my other conditions directly affect my diabetes and helps work around it. Shes very empathetic but then again, the entire staff is.

Lipson Cancer And Blood Center

Jennifer Helm I went to the one at unity Hospital, the Lipson Cancer Center. The date on my chart said one day and a card I got in the mail said different so I called there and asked which one was my appointment. They told me the one on my chart. I took the day off and went there and told them I was here. they said no your appointments on the date on the card they sent. This is not the first time it’s happened. They are unorganized and unprofessional. People that have to go to a cancer center shouldn’t have added stress in their life. The least you could do is give them the correct day that their appointment is. My mom just found out she has cancer and I told her to stay away from that place.

Joan Troutman I’ve NEVER had a bad experience at Lipson STAFF sometimes may get busy with others , but my experience hasn’t been nothing but good and very friendly . I usually sleep through my treatment. People always want to find the bad in everything all situations are not perfect but the job gets done.

Sara Beth While the doctors and nurses are generous and caring, there is something lacking from the office staff at Lipson. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis to the liver. Immediately, we went into action with Lipson. From the word "go" everything felt disconnected. When my husband was experiencing side effects from chemo we were sent to the ER each time, which is totally understandable. However with each visit we were given multiple tests, including several EKGs, all with good prognosis. Keep in mind there were several visits to the ER. Lipson suggested seeing a cardiologist just to be safe and ceased all treatments until the cardiologist gave the OK. Fair enough, but the thing was not one doctor in Rochester had any appointments for six weeks!! Should this not raise huge red flags at Lipson?? The office did not try help expedite the process, offer solutions or provide us with any other doctors that were not in their "network". They just couldnt think outside of the box, which is stunningly not that hard to do. Meanwhile, scans are showing the cancer spreading in the weeks off of chemo. This not only felt somewhat negligent, but also felt like no one cared. This was a race against time and we were going no where. We were lucky to have a family friend who works for an cardiologist and he was finally seen; everything was OK. The last straw with Lipson was when my husband was in the ER, on a Friday, with pneumonia. He was advised by staff to contact Lipson for IV antibiotics, which he did, at 9:00 am. Lipson advised that he would be contacted by someone on his care team... No one called until Tuesday. The office left my husband with pneumonia, in a state of limbo over an entire weekend, plus a Monday and not one person person on staff could call us back?To say they dropped the ball is an understatement. Ultimately, we decided to go to Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC for a second opinion and we were blown away by the difference, the second we walked in the door. In the five months weve been with Sloan Kettering, theyve successfully removed all the cancer, have a treatment plan, they check on us daily, they have an amazing care team which is absolutely miles above Lipson. All doctors visit are in the same place, not miles apart. Most of all, they dont ignore us. This is our lives, not a hair cut. We felt ignored, confused, scared, angry and no one should feel like this by people who youre trusting with your life. I urge anyone facing cancer to seek second opinions; you dont have to feel stuck.

Melinda Darling I have been taking my dad here for treatment for 6 months. All of the staff are incredible here- from reception to nurses to Dr. Wisa. They are truly caring and professional. Each will take time to answer questions and find info for us. These wonderful people have made a difficult situation easier to manage.

Brooke H This cancer center is certainly the cause of many lives lost. They are unmasked, unsupportive, unprofessional and truly negligent. They also don’t use cold caps so you have to lose your hair. Use someone else if you love your people.

MaKenna Bleier I love this office. I have had some scheduling issues in the past where I showed up and they did not know what I was there for. But besides that, I always get the best care. I never feel rushed. Doctor Gardner and Katherine Licata are amazing and really listen to my concerns. The secretaries are always so helpful and friendly as well.

Panda92 Ive been bringing my daughter to this office since the day she was born. Never have had any kind of complaint towards them. Never have to wait long. All the staff weve encountered has always been so helpful, and kind. Although we now live in the city, and it can be a little bit of a distance, I still wouldnt change her drs for anything.

Tay Paul Not what I was used to. I can’t speak for the whole office but Allison Carrol was not a go for us. As a doctor her bedside wasn’t great. I had read bad reviews about her not being warm, not empathic or keeping the patient at the center of care. It’s true. She was everything that her reviews says that she is. I honestly regret having ever allowed this person into my life as my primary care. Totally not happy and feeling less confident about the quality of my health care.

gary del mastro When our doctor retired two years ago, we had to find another primary care physician. He recommened three doctors, and we chose Dr. Laura Sette. She is wonderful. She takes her time with us, and answers all of our questions. We never have to wait. If we send a message to My Chart, she always answers. Were so grateful to have her for our doctor, after being with our primary doctor for over thirty years.

Dr N Scott Dr. O is a fantastic doctor. He ensures that he takes the time needed to address your needs. He has been my doctor for many years. I have no complaints about his level of care or expertise. Everyone has their own experiences, and I will not downplay anyones feelings. However, for the comments that are overly negative, please be mindful that there is more than one side to those interactions.

Amelie Avery Do not go here. Had a procedure done. He was very rough and I was in excruciating pain. He has been in business many years and does not know what he is doing. I was left in a room after I almost passed out. Whatever you do, do not go there.

Grace L Dr Robbyn Upham provides bias care. She is unwelcoming and demeaning towards patients. She provided minimal assessment regarding very serious concerns that were later diagnosed. Due to Dr Upham’s poor assessment, I suffered significantly, much longer than I should have. Her response to my very serious medical concerns was to “ read a book”.

Stephanie Hare why seek medical care from your doctor when you can tune into the oprah network and get an ad for weight watchers which is what dr lavender is gonna recommend anyway edit: came to talk to dr lavender about concerns i have with my care (she is prescribing me a combo of drugs that arent supposed to be taken together, and in fact told another patient i spoke with that she would NOT prescribe them together bc theyre dangerous)–and instead of addressing ANY of my concerns, she vindictively misgendered me throughout the after visit note. Not sure she should be allowed to claim the "safe space" her little sticker says she is.

JESTERK0RE Receptionists always act like youre bothering them, when you come to pick up paperwork theyll tell you that they dont have it without even looking, or even listening to what you say. Ive been coming here since 2016, and its always been like this with no change. Doctors barely respond to mychart messages, but urge that you use it to contact them. I have been waiting 5 days for a reply regarding medications, no matter how many times I send follow up messages, theyre ignored. Not to mention it always takes 2-4 months to get an appointment, youre better off going to the ER or urgent care. I love my provider; but theres just so many things wrong with this office that they refuse to do much about.

Nikki Mula Dr. Rodrigues is amazing. She is such a calm thorough physician. She always listens to me as a patient and then weeds through each complaint. Sometimes it’s very difficult to get a appointment with her I assume because she’s such a great Dr. But she is awesome at answering her mychart and treating you through Mychart when possible. Connie her nurse is also very pleasant. I have been a patient here for 5 years they are one of the best in town.
