Amy N Always excellent service. The younger male cashier who was working around 1pm on Sunday who cashed us out was so helpful and polite. I think his name was Luke or Lucas perhaps. He was super friendly. Highly recommend this location!

Zilania Alaya This store has a lot more than i had initially thought it would. Big parking lot usually, several locations available, open on holidays for short hours, friendly staff, and their bakery section is superb. I bought a cake, danishes, and cinnamon rolls from there and they turned out really good. The fruit obviously has to be in season, the precut fruit tastes a little weird. But the fresh fruits are great. The prices are a bit steep though, but they do have a rewards program. They got a decent selection of non food items as well. Definitely recommend at least once.

Pam Wheeler I had to give the cashier my saver card 5 or 6 times before it apparently worked. She kept apologizing but it was frustrating to have to keep taking it out. Then I paid $7.99 for the worst pie Ive ever tasted. It said wild berry but it was just a thick jello type filling. Ive been shopping here for years but it may be time to look for a new store. Prices are getting too high, long waits at checkout & now food thats disgusting! On the positive side, cashiers are polite & helpful!

Julie Pierce He doesnt read my chart, doesnt see what kind of insurance I have n tells me I have to see other Drs to get certain orders or prescriptions. He passes the buck to other Drs do they all can get paid. Leaves me to suffer in pain even when my surgeon explains my needs. He doesnt listen n just rushes me in n out so I forget to tell him other things that are going on. I am looking for a Dr that cares n respects me not one that just passes me off. Wont call in my scripts ñ left me manic n withdrawing from my antidepressant and now I am not on anything. Please keep looking if youre looking for a Dr. Its hard to get thru to the office as they leave answering service one when theyre in office. No same day appts either when youre sick. I waited 3 days to get in when I was ill

Jourdan Henry Very disappointed with this establishment. My husband fell ill pretty quickly, did not feel like an ER trip was necessarily needed so drove 35 minutes to QuikMed for my husband to be seen. Now it was already 7:53 at night when it was determined he needed to be seen and the only urgent care that was open in the area was QuikMed. Online it stated they were open until 9pm but I called prior just to be sure that was accurate. There was an automated message that played that shared the establishment was open until 9pm however the last patient would be registered at 8:30. I drove lightening speed to get there before 8:30 so my husband could be seen. We go to walk in at 8:18 to be told they could not see him, stated they already had several patients waiting to be seen and they would already be there past 9pm. I then responded by saying when I called it says 8:30 is when you take the last patient and she said “I know”. Beyond pissed is how I feel. This establishment creates their own rules for when they stop accepting patients and yet they don’t even follow them. Perhaps change your phone service to state you no longer accept patients after 8 or 7:30. Now we drove 30 minutes in the direction we just came from to go to the ER. I’ve never been to this establishment before and I definitely will not be back.

Shelby Brand Unprofessional staff and insane wait times. The waiting area has very loud music playing and is very bright-not conducive to those coming in with light/noise sensitivity. This is my second experience here within the last 2 years (one as a patient and one as a caregiver) and I’m astounded each time regarding the overall lack of care of patients. I feel like after hour 2 of waiting, a little communication about how much longer they anticipate would go a long way. I highly recommend driving outside of town to other emergency rooms.

Leah Evans If I could leave 0 stars I would. I’d like to start off by saying that the girl at the check in desk was excellent and she did her best given the situation. But never in my life have I seen a medical “professional” with such a lack of empathy or understanding. I took my son to the emergency room as a scared mother unable to keep his high fever of 102.8 down below 101. The dr or pa or whatever he was, started off by speaking to me as though I was incompetent because I had informed him that my other child had had the flu the previous week, letting me know that that’s probably what he had in a very condescending tone. (I was fully aware of that, which is why I gave the info) My son, who number 1 had a fever and wasn’t feeling well, and number 2 has very high anxiety especially when it comes to flu or strep tests. As you can imagine, he was having trouble gathering the bravery to have his nose swabbed as this individual had suggested. The dr was noticeably agitated and was speaking to my son who is 8 like he was a drill sergeant being very short and aggressive. He then told us that since he wouldn’t cooperate, that we could go sit in the waiting area and that we were going to get to be there for at least 2 hours because my son was afraid to get his nose swabbed. At that point I informed him that if we were going to be spoken to like that, that we would be going elsewhere to seek help. Samaritan needs to hire those who also understand the “care “ side of medical care. Extremely disappointing.

Ashlie Suarez Their wait time is absolutely ridiculous! You can’t be seen in less than a 6 hour time frame & that’s not including your wait time in the waiting room! I went in for stomach pain & they sent me home & saying it was just gas pain, only to be rushed into emergency surgery the following day to have my gall bladder removed in Syracuse!! Another time I went in with my son who was 10 months old at the time, he had RSV & was having a hard time breathing! (A mother knows best) I brought him in knowing that he wouldn’t make it thru the night if we didn’t get him seen! They ended up discharging us shortly after arriving (in 2020) saying he will be fine, just alternate tylonal & Ibuprofen, give him a steroid & put him in a room with steam to help with the congestion! It was unsettling with me to say the least! Not even 6 hours later I was speeding, called 911 & had them have the nurses meet me at the door, he almost died due to an extremely elevated BP, barely breathing on his own, he was so lethargic, couldn’t wake up & was almost unresponsive! I could have lost my baby boy, he was admitted upon arrival & had to be there for 9 days!!!!! That is not ok, they are so quick to discharge & not care if the patients are truly sick or just looking for a warm bed! I have so many stories but these are just 2 of the more serious issues that went unnoticed & they were life threatening but we were discharged anyways!

She spent a short time in skilled nursing, where she received excellent care. When she was placed in comfort care she not only received the best care but her family did also. They put up with her large family and offered us so much comfort. I want to thank the caring community they are for everything they did for our family. ❤️

Stephanie Hall I would give 0 stars if it let me. This place is the most horrible nursing home I have seen. I am a former CNA with over 4 years experience ina nuring home setting and over 6 of in home care. I cannot believe how badly residents are being treated at The Summit. I cannot not give specific details for fear of even worse treatment to my family member. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!!! If I could, I would move her anywhere but here.

Gail Livingston If you are someone who has their wits about them, can do their own banking, can even take care of their own medications and give it to themselves properly, and also one who likes to ask questions and be informed, this is not the place for you or your loved ones. The people that they want at their facility, are the loved ones that want to just dump their family in a place and have no further contact. Where the resident has no control over anything and they have total control. They dont seem to understand nor will they abide by New York State Law. They handout paperwork that they themselves do not go by what is written on it, nor do they like to go by signed agreements. They dont even allow the Ombudsman to do their job, even when its written in their signed agreement. It doesnt even phase them, when they get citations from the NYS Department of Health. They seem to think that a supervisor from the Ombudsman office is going to keep them safe because they have family staying there. Administration, including the VP of Long-Term Care, will lie to your face and allow threats to be made by the administrator. They are afraid of the truth coming out. They like to put $$$, when private pay is a lot more, $$$$ and they want more on top of that, making it closer to $$$$$. This place is all about the money. They dont seem to care that they have a fast turnout of employees, so not always enough staff to take care of the residents. My suggestion to anyone thinking about this place is there a residence, make sure you have a recording of every conversation you have with administratio and aides and nurses. They also dont seem to care about Hippa laws, and we want to conduct business in public places, or leave your door open so that people outside and any of those that have their doors open can hear whats going on. They may even leave things tape to your door that have very important information on them like your social security number, for anyone to stop and look at. I would also have an attorney on standby and of course the number to the New York State Department Hotline. Have a camera in your room at all times, they have been known to go into your room when youre at a doctors appointment for no good reason. Do not allow them to handle your money, or take the possibility of losing your money. I would seriously look at other places than this one. Beware at All Times.

Raymond valentin If i could give a zero rating i would. I transferred my oldest son from his other pediatricians office to here almost a year ago and he sees a doctor who we absolutely love! We had our second son a few months ago and I made the mistake of letting him go to a different doctor than his brother. The first couple appointments went well no issues, after his 2 month appt we started having issues with this specific doctor not listening to our concerns or completely ignoring anything we try to tell her after being stuck sitting in a room for anywhere from 45 mins to 2 1/2 hours for her to only be in there long enough to do a checkup before rushing out. The most recent incident was yesterday when i called to checkup on a referral for formula that WIC had requested exactly a week prior. Both me and the lady at wic tried multiple times to get in touch to see what was going on only for me to be told multiple different things regarding the referral. Last week i was told the dr was out of office due to weather and that was also the excuse monday as well when i called. I tried calling again yesterday and was told by one of the receptionists that it was denied due to her “not seeing or knowing he had a problem with formula”(there was zero discussion in any prior appts about formula even though i had brought it up multiple times but again she chose to disregard what i was saying and at his last appt immediately went on talking about starting him on purees) and if it did get denied why didnt i get a phone call from the doctor telling me that or at least calling me and asking me whats going on instead of denying it and leaving it at that.So at this point i was getting upset because i had already been calling for days getting absolutely nowhere and they transferred me to a nurse and it happened to be the same nurse i spoke to earlier that day when i called and she tried to tell me the conversation we had was completely different than what it actually was which made me more furious and i was crying on the phone when she decided she was going to put it on speaker and call other people over to listen to me and i could hear her giggling when i started to freak then she hung up on me. I did report the said nurse to the department of health after everything had happened. My fiance called this morning to switch our youngest sons dr to the one our oldest sees and got told he needs the supervisors permission to do that and was transferred over only to leave a voicemail that will probably just be ignored. This is extremely unprofessional and I believe they are now making us jump through hoops to switch doctors because of this situation. When i switched from one office to this one all i needed to do was sign a paper for release of records so i dont understand how i need a supervisors permission to switch to a different doctor thats in the same network/facility. And ill be damned if a lady that doesnt even give my kid the time of day thinks shes gonna tell me what formula my child does better on because the formula he is on is the same one we ended up having to put his oldest brother on. Not to mention this same doctor snatched a balloon glove away from oldest because it was choking hazard then gave him a tongue depressor to shove down his throat. In what world is any of this okay.

Michelle I experienced the worst patient care at North country family health a couple days ago, I had a medical assistant and a nurse practitioner not even knowing how to do a simple EKG machine and laughing as they were trying to figure out how to put the probes on me correctly. Which I came in for left shoulder pain which I definitely needed to rule out a heart attack so doing a proper EKG is something that needs to be done to ensure that youre not having a heart attack. I then call a couple days later to discuss my game plan because nobody did anything for me and clinic besides an EKG and when I went to follow up the same day and find out what theyre going to be doing for me they put in that I declined an x-ray which I did not they also didnt do anything not a referral absolutely nothing told me to follow up with my primary and a couple days because she wasnt in clinic that day she was out sick.. so then I go ahead and call again today to try to find out whats going on they say I have to be seen again but once again my provider is not there so I asked to speak to somebody of a higher up position so I can put a formal complaint in the nurse cut me off I asked her name she gave me attitude I asked her last name she wouldnt give it to me I get back transferred over to the front reception area where I spoke to a lady who also gave me attitude I was very respectful monotone voice did not yell and was just stating my issues and to try to get a better direction of what I need to do to make a complaint. Once they knew I wanted to make a complaint about what happened in clinical couple days ago the woman over the phone kept on giving me attitude cutting me off every time I spoke and then put me on hold without even telling me what she was doing and transferred me to somebody that I had to leave a voicemail. I then called back talk to somebody else and at this time I knew that the front reception area knew that I was calling back to back and I knew that they were all talking about me because of the way she answered the phone, she cut me off immediately like she already knew of the situation and then transferred me out again to a different woman. I have had nothing but issues and unprofessionalism ever since Ive been a patient at North country family health center and Ive been for years the only reason why I havent went to a different primary is because everyone else in this small little town is completely full and are not accepting new patients I am on every waiting list to change providers but I cant. So now Im about to name drop a few the first person who I always have issues is a woman named Roberta she always answers the nurses line that woman should not work there at all I have had so many situations with this person and her attitude over the phone is ridiculous her patient care is not up to par she needs to be fired immediately the other girls names up at the front reception area theres three of them I did not get any of their names but theyre unprofessional as well Selena who is the nurse practitioner there another woman who laughed as she was trying to hook up an EKG machine with another medical assistant in the room who I did not get the name of were both laughing the whole time trying to hook up my EKG machine that nurse practitioner should not be practicing medicine at all. It just seemed as soon as everyone knew I wanted to file a complaint I got attitude and just the rudeness over the phone was astonishing. Patient care should always come first regardless if the patient is making a complaint about the practice ,obviously things arent perfect always but North country family health needs to do better! Now can I please get my call back from higher up so I can formally make my complaint or somebody please point me in the right direction on who I need to speak to about these people because this is absolutely ridiculous!

Nancy My 17 yr old son sustained a concussion during a soccer game in Sept. Each visit we had with Dr. Jayne was extremely thorough and comprehensive. But more importantly we felt cared for and made a priority by the Dr.. Detailed time and care went into each examination, referrals, and established plans for his recovery. Dr. Jayne genuinely cares about her patients and their well-being. Every encounter we have ever had in the past 5 years from the NoCo school based clinic staff, P.A. Shelby Scordo, receptionist, pediatric nurses, and Dr. Jayne has been impeccable. Cant begin to thank everyone at NoCo enough for all they have done for my children over the years.

Bradley Scoggin Not even one star can describe how disappointed I was in the service I received at this medical office. I made an appointment six months ago, showed up at my appointment on time yesterday. While I expect to have to wait some for the doctor to come in, I waited over 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, the doctor never came in, and I had to leave because I had another appointment scheduled. The excuse they gave is that the doctor will take as much time with the patient ahead of me as they need to. While this may seem like a compassionate approach to care, it is not. The nursing staff and even the manager, Sara, seemed to not care or have any respect for other peoples time and effort because they made it seem like I was being unreasonable for not wanting to wait 40+ minutes after my scheduled appointment despite me having showed up on time. They also lost the paperwork that I filled out 6 months ago, so I had to fill all that out again.

Vreatt Tammy One star because I cant give less. The provider I was seeing wouldnt listen, to my complaints. Says I have low iron when the blood work I had done in the emergency room didnt show that. I was supposed to have a referral to neurology & was never given it. I guess the fact that your losing your balance & having other neurological symptoms doesnt matter. I will not be going back here & will be finding a different doctor. I will not be having my records transferred either. I have since found a different doctors office to go to. With much nicer people to deal with. I got an appointment much faster to.

Next day mother in law passed away. This place is HORRIBLE if you truly love your elderly ones DO NOT put them in here, they will go from needing minimal help to a hoyer lift for help before they pass away.

Jamie Cartin I had a so-so experience. I first started as a radiology patient that then was sent to the ER for a potential obstruction. The radiology reception/check in woman was wonderful! Very empathetic and friendly. The ultrasound tech guy was also very kind and friendly. Radiology was great over all! The ER reception/check in woman was also fantastic. She was very kind and explained things well. Another positive was definitely Dr. Wu! He came in and was very empathetic to my pain while trying to understand what was going on. He never made me feel like a burden and was great about doing his part. The guy who did my CT scan was also cool. Unfortunately, I can’t name any of the nurses or anything. No one introduced themselves to me. I think my main nurse was the guy with the beard, because he tried to take my blood at one point (I had already done a blood test that same day) and informed me I needed a pregnancy urine sample prior to getting a CT. I think he forgot about me, because I waited 40 minutes after giving my urine sample before anyone even came back to check on me. The woman who did check my vitals said, “You’re unhooked!” And I informed her I got unhooked 40 mins prior when I went to pee and no one had come back since then. She was cool enough and had a good sense of humor, which deescalated the situation a bit. I also heard her asking the male nurse if he had forgotten about me. When he came in a few minutes later, he claimed the lab was backed up? Which is concerning since it was a simple pregnancy dip while in the ER. I know none of the nurses names. At one point a third nurse came in and handed me medicine. I asked what it was for, because she hadn’t told me. Her name tag was flipped so I couldn’t see her name. It’s true that you can hear everything going on while there. I don’t mind people having fun at work; in fact I encourage it! I’d rather have people enjoying themselves than miserable, but it was a bit surreal hearing nurses talk illy of people and talk about drinking and partying with certain patients they recognized. I felt like a burden, especially when I’d left the room for tests or to urinate and no one looked up from their computers or acknowledged me in any way. Not only this, but there seemed to be no streamlined communication. No one seemed to know if I had been to my CT yet, so I had the doctor come in confused about why I hadn’t even been there yet. Then I had some random nurse tell me I’d be getting an IV and be sent to my CT scan soon, when I had already been there and the doctor had already come back in to read my results and do further checks. I never got that IV, which probably would have helped with my dehydration and headache haha. Overall, it was a mid experience. The worst ER I’ve been to, but I’ve only been to a few so that’s not saying much. Maybe invest in a streamlined communication method and some empathy training?

Tim Hamel This place is a low budget band aid station. Hours in the ER while nurses discuss what they are going to eat for dinner, or on the computer playing Solitaire. The Doctors at best, must have got their degree from an online degree program. If your loved one needs anything above a band aid send them somewhere else. I keep going back like its a place that will change, but they wont. Close the doors and send everyone to Lewis County Hospital or Samaritan.

Trinity Bigness My father and I came into the emergency department, and he’s having shortness of breath, very in and out of consciousness, (has history of illness I will not state for privacy reasons) I had to wheel him in using a wheelchair, we waited in the waiting room for 25 minutes, I noticed people coming in and out so I went up to the intercom and told the nurse what was going on, she was extremely rude, told me there was no room and to go somewhere else. My dad is severely sick and was definitely considered an emergency. Yet they still refused to help. Absolutely disgusting behavior, whatever nurse spoke to me, shouldn’t even be a nurse. Thankfully we went to lowville before he died and they immediately got him in. Carthage Hospital is certainly not the place you want to go if you’re having an emergency or if you want to be treated like a person. My father is severely sick, and Carthage Area hospitals behavior towards him was absolutely inexcusable and disgusting. Called to make a complaint and they didn’t even bother picking up.

Shanna Kilbourn I went to the ER at 915 because 8 fell down my stairs and hurt my neck and shoulder. I sat in the room crying in pain for over and hour before the doctor came back. Never examined me at all. He said hed order and pray. That didnt take long. However I waited almost another hour to get something for pain Crying in agony the entire time. The meds didnt last long and I was back in excruciating pain and crying. Even after I called the nurse to see if she could tell the doctor that the meds wore off no one ever came back. By hour six with no one coming to speak to me about the pain I was in or talk to me about my xray I called for the nurse to take my iv out so I could leave. However the staff had no problem sitting at the station laughing and goofing around. Absolutely disgusted and myself and my family will never go there again.

Lucas Prashaw I came in at 1:00 with my friend who was having very severe tooth pain. It is now 3:35 A.M. and I am still in the waiting room. I suppose it wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t the only person in the waiting room. Awful service, I’d be better off going to Syracuse

Chrissy Marie My granddaughter was taken to the LCGH ER on separate occasions for a rash type of thing on her skin. Drs each time said that it was irritated from something she was sensitive to. It kept getting worse, so they took her to Carthage. Carthage ER immediately sent for the ambulance to take her to Upstate. She was in ICU and had the worst case of impetigo the Drs had ever seen... On her face, neck, torso and arms. Fingers crossed she doesnt have complications from this because it wasnt treated as promptly and as professionally as it should have been by LCGH. Sounds like someone just made an off the cuff diagnosis to me. I myself went there a year ago because the side of my face was very large and swollen. Dr Hodsen barely looked at it, and said my primary had just prescribed the wrong antibiotic for an ear infection.. He was in that room about 3 minutes(if that) and sent me on my way.Turns out I had a parotid tumor. He doesnt take time to order tests that should be done. Hes too quick to make an educated guess and fly with it without needed tests to back up his theories. The ENT couldnt believe the size when he seen my face. The first thing he said was he needed to order a scan. So very unimpressed with a few ER Dr.s. The rest of the staff was great though.

Paige Took a friend to the Emergency Room because she had a seizure and was vomiting uncontrollably for 3 days following. Upon arrival, the waiting room was packed. We waited 45 minutes just to check in, then 7 hours to get a room. Once in the room, we waited another 2 hours to see the doctor, who gave her fluids and a nausea med. Only urine and blood tests were taken, and once they found nothing, sent her home with a prescription nausea med, completely disregarding the unexplained seizure that started it all. We arrived at 6pm, and didn’t leave until 6am the following day. Within our visit I saw nurses goofing off, making small talk, and simply not doing their jobs. In the waiting room during our 7 hour wait, an infant began seizing, due to his condition. Right then and there I lost all respect for this hospital and it’s staff, it’s disgusting that they allowed that poor baby to wait hours! They only care about the paycheck, that’s it. You’re better off going elsewhere if you want timely and reliable care. You could be bleeding out and they’ll tell you to “wait your turn”.

Éireann Simpson I used to love going there especially when Frederick Tontarski was the practitioner and during one of my appts before he retired he introduced me to his replacement Taylor Mustizer whom I thought at first was a nice guy but no more, with Dr.Tontarski he always addressed the current issue I was having at that time then once he was gone I wind up having horrible burning pain in my gut and the current practitioner prescribed pain meds for me and I would be okay until the meds ran out and when I I asked for a reill he told me to go to Samaritan ER and when I did I waited for 7 1/2 hrs in the waiting room and I finally left so I asked again for a refill and again I was told to go to ER and this time I went to Carthage Hospital and they and they put me on pain med IV and had MRI done and they thought it was my pancreas due to I have had a history of inflamed pancreas and a few days went by and the burning was back but this time it extended to my back so again I asked for a refill of pain meds and he told me no that I need to go to ER again so I did and this time they did a more extensive MRI and it turned out it wasnt my pancreas at all but a fatty tissue hernia which was the size of a bratwurst sausage and was informed it could have been fatal had they not done the 2nd MRI and that day I went to surgery so I am glad for my new internist Dr.Kellogg who is as kind and compassionate as Dr.Tontarski

Yalandis Powell Please save your time, do not go here. Believe all of the negative reviews. This place was a waste of my time. I brought my two kids here 6 & 4 due to an ongoing illness. They have fevers and a persistent cough. They swabbed my kids noses and told us that someone will call me the next day with the lab results. I was hoping to receive a call and to get medicine prescribed to my babies. Instead no one called so I called them. I do not know who the PA was because he was different from the one that we saw the day before, but he obviously did not care about my concern for my kids health when I told him what was going on. He got silent and I waited for a response, all he could say was follow up with your primary care doctor. My kids are sick and it’s the weekend, I needed care then. I’ll definitely be reporting this business to get black listed for military because they are no good.

Kendall Woodard Maybe I should’ve read the reviews before I went but the people at the LeRay Medical Center sent me here after telling me they are not an urgent care anymore. I am active duty without a primary care doctor assigned therefore I can’t/don’t need to get a referral before seeing urgent care. Nevertheless the receptionist told me to call the nurse advice line (which they gave me the wrong number for) and get a referral. I was on the phone for an hour before the nurse I got connected with asked me to hand the phone to the receptionist to explain that NO I DID NOT need a referral. However, the manager said that I still needed a referral even though that is literally impossible. So the nurse basically told me hey go to a different urgent care and stop wasting your time here.

Thanks for the disservice and for the horrible bedside manner and absolutely no resolution at all.

Gabrielle Mastin I attempted to be examined and treated here recently with concerns of a clogged milk duct. The doctor would not see me, instead told the receptionist to give me information on what to do and send me on my way. However, I knew something was wrong, I left and went to Carthage Area Hospital. After being there for not even 30 minutes, they notified me that I had an infection and a 103 degree fever. I was given the proper medication and was able to go home within a few hours. I wouldn’t recommend this urgent care for adults unless you’re looking for something as simple as a Covid test; as this was not the first time I had to leave and go elsewhere just to get treatment.

S N I generally like going here but today I went w my son and this PA named Shauna had her dog in the office and was letting it roam around freely. I dont understand why MEDICAL offices think its ok to bring the dirty germ filled animals to places where there is sterile medical equipment ! As we were in our room her dog scratched on the door and my son is terrified of dogs. I really was not pleased. Keep your pets at home where they belong!!

Bridget Nichole This place is the exact reason why veterans kill themselves. Its nothing but run around run around run around until they call you (IF they do) and tell you that your referral was denied. Oh but dont forget to go online and look at your results yourself because they will diagnose you with something that requires monitoring and daily medication BUT NOT CALL AND TELL YOU ABOUT IT OR PRESCRIBE THE MEDICATION. This place is a joke. Dont waste your time.

Adja Diarrassouba This is the worst VA clinic in the world. I had an appointment with my primary care provider in July 2024 and flew to Wateor it. On the day of the appointment, they called me in the morning to cancel because the provider was unavailable. I rescheduled and asked them to providwith a date when I was available, as I needed to return. They respoby with either not having anything available or suggesting a phone appointment. I insisted that I needed to be seen in person for my annual appointment. After that, I received no further communication from them. Finally, on November 26 2024, they called to schedule my apointment, four months later. I told them I would not be coming back to this clinic. This clinic is truly the worst.is Tley really dont care about veterans.

Julian Moreno First time to a VA clinic and though I have heard some horror stories about them, I went in with high hopes. Those hopes were quickly shut down! Went in and theres no clear signs as to what to do when you first walk in. All you see is a glass wall and seats in front of it. After waiting for about 15 mins, I decided to talk to one of the workers who was behind a window. The dude looked annoyed and gave off a bad vibe. Next, one of the providers there came out to talk to me only to pawn me off with some ther VA in Syracuse. This place is of little to NO use! I cant even imagine the rest of these places.

The person is a quiet and reserved individual so they dont say anything that sounds like they are complaining. I will though because if you have to wait an hour to be seen after your appointment time and then youre giving 11 minutes of their time, that is not helping the person at all. Im not even exaggerating. My loved one waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to be seen and then was out within 12 minutes. Something needs to change

Computer Doc Would like to leave a better review but I believe Mary should not be the lead of this place. Trying to get a simple document stating on when you were there in the past is like pulling teeth with her unless you go back to continue paying them more money through insurance. Always heard there was a little corruption going on with Mary with her intakes but didnt believe it until I experienced it myself after not going there for a year just trying to retrieve a simple document. Be careful is all I have to say before going here and watch out for the two sided Mary. I will be putting in multiple complaints and reports towards her right away so other people will not be put in my situation again. Anyone who goes here should have access to anything of when and whomever they see there and is ridiculous to have someone like Mary say no.

Amanda Garcia Absolutely HORRIBLE Office - ZERO instead of a One 1) "No show" fee for an appointment that I didnt make. When I first starting going to this practice, they did not make appointments on my behalf. However, somewhere along the way they started making appointments for me when the doctor had to cancel. I spoke with the staff numerous times and asked, told, even BEGGED them to stop making appointments for me because I canNOT make them. They ignored me every single time. This culminated in December with them changing an appointment and because I wasnt able to check my voice messages (due to several factors including a death in the family), I didnt know the appointment was changed. So, I show up on my appointment date. They tell me they changed the appointment, only left me a voicemail, and now they are CHARGING ME a no show fee for an appointment that I didnt know about, nor did I agree to after specifically BEGGING them to stop making appointments for me. 2) Horrible communication - The office does not have a patient portal, does not send text messages, doesnt mail letters, they ONLY communicate via phone calls. So, if there is an issue with a voicemail, I wont know why they called. The office manager who is refusing to cancel the "no show" fee (for the appointment I didnt know about or agree to) is only there M - Th 8 - 3. I am unable to make calls during those hours because of my job. I cannot make calls until after 330. So, now I dont have ANY way to try to resolve this issue. 3) Constantly Rescheduling Appointments - I was required to make appointments at least 6 months in advance and just about every single appointment was changed because the doctor changed the schedule. So, I never actually knew when my appointments would be and the last time I was there, they told me they were going to cancel me as a patient for changing so many appointments...that the DOCTOR kept changing. 4) The last time I was there (for the appointment that was changed) I saw a paper on the door that said something along the lines of "if patients were disrespectful to office staff, there would be a particular kind of consequence (I dont remember what it was)", and I thought to myself that there must be an issue with people being disrespectful. What I did NOT expect was that the office staff member that I spoke with started the issue with ME, I did not start the problem with her. She got short, snippy, and was flat out disrespectful blaming me for things that the office did. 5) Lengthy wait times - The doctor I saw was late ALL THE TIME. There were so many appointments (even virtual) where I waited 40 minutes or more to be called back or for the doctor to get on the appointment. So, I started making my appointments as early as possible and the doctor STILL couldnt see me on time. Next, Ill be filing complaints with the NYS DOH and Attorney General because of these charges.

Jordan Powell Really Unforgiving of Disabled Veterans who lost rides to their appointments, they released me from their practice after seeing me once. I had rides to a mri appointment because I have Epilepsy caused from an injury related to my service the rides I had ended up not pulling through for me. They won’t refill my seizure medication and I got a rude call back saying that nothing can be done and I’ve missed 4 appointments when only 2 were scheduled with my knowledge(one of the 1 I did show up to) Very unprofessional tone and pompous attitude, if they do not like you they will force you out. I would not recommend this place. there is no chance at appealing their decision. I have tried but they told me to kick rocks.

Yuri Tei The most unprofessional clinic I have ever been to. The worst. It is so unfortunate that military families have to rely on this clinic as the only option out here while stationed in Fort drum. They know that they can continue to get business because they’re the only ones. It’s horrible. I called Thursday, Friday, and Monday to REschedule my Wednesday appointment. Left messages, and never got a call back. I show up for the Wednesday appointment since I couldn’t reschedule, and they had canceled it. The lady even said “well the call wouldn’t go through, so I canceled it” so you didn’t talk to me, but canceled. It was the day that Verizon had a mass outage and we were all on SOS mode. I never requested to cancel my Wednesday appointment. I never said I couldn’t make it. I called to see if a different day was possible. Now they’re telling me to take another day off of work to make a new appointment. It’s unprofessional. It’s inconsiderate. They could have called a different day. They could have tried calling yesterday, they didn’t. I feel bad for families that live here. That this is what they have to deal with. I would give zero stars if I could.

John Fleming Absolutely the most unethical and unprofessional medical practice I have ever encountered. We changed an appointment within the timeframe according to their guidelines and they later accused us of being a "no show." When we tried to change the next appointment, they unilaterally kicked us out of their practice. Before that deadline, they refused to refill an emergency prescription. Will file an official complaint to the NY State Attorney Generals Office and the Better Business Bureau.

Izzy Read I was refered here by my doctor for a neuro nerve test on my arm. The front staff would close the window and throw their paperwork around with attitude like it was annoying trash. I will say they were nice otp and when i checked in but the way they treated other elderly customers who were confused really upset me.I called after a week of hearing nothing about the results and when i called my primary they said that neuro needs to go over the results with me. I called neuro they told me i am not their paitent and if i want to have my test explained to me i have to have my doctor refer me back to them just for that too. I would rather drive an hour to go somewhere else then go back in there again. :(

Syracuse actually seems like a better option. Cant wait to score on Medicare. Fix communications to enhance care

Vreatt Tammy Ive been to Samaritan more than once. Ive had no problems with the people working there. I was there in July of this year, for dehydration. The doctor was very nice & so were the nurses. They also did a CT Scan that night & the tech was great. Thanks to the doctor I saw that night, I got neurology appointment for Syracuse taken care of. I did go by ambulance that night, & had to wait in the waiting room. That was not a problem. I was given IV fluids & sent home. Have not had a problem since. Everyone was very nice. I was seen I the morning hours of Christmas morning 2024. I was treated nicely. Saw a MD for the second time not some PA. They told me they couldn’t find what the problem was but that I needed to see a Neurologist. They also proved that I’m not diabetic. I have no problem going to SMC.

Tasha Hackett I went there because I was struggling with HG. They proceeded to stick me 3 different times trying to draw blood and get an IV going and I told them that I ALWAYS have issues with my veins. They never tried to do a smaller needle aka butterfly until the lab tech, China came in. She was awesome! She only had to come in because it was so hard for them to draw blood and by the time they drew it, they said it was clotting. So altogether I get stuck 4 times. When they thought they had a vein for the IV, (she literally stabbed me in my arm and kept moving the needle around) they started pushing fluids and I told the nurse that it was hurting. She said I had a small bump but it could have been there before so she continued to try to push fluids. I told her again it was hurting and by this time, my whole arm was getting sore. At this point you could see a bubble under my skin where the fluids were just pooling up. She removed the IV and I told her don’t try to stick me again and just give me a dissolvable tab. She responded with “we’re gonna have to stick you again” and I told her can I just try the tab. They gave me the tab and I was doing better after that. It took 3 different people to try to poke me and none of them seemed to know what they were doing and that made me and my spouse very uncomfortable. Thank you, China for all of your help but everyone else outside of intake was a nightmare! Today I went to remove my bandaids that the nurse put on me and it literally ripped a layer of my skin off. It’s like they used the strongest adhesive they could find and put it on such a sensitive part on my body. I will more than likely go to Carthage for any future emergencies. I’ve attached pics and circled where they stuck me and also where the bandaid ripped my skin. That’s also where they tried to continuously push the IV.

Let alone keep any fluids down (im pregnant) which makes my situation even worst. No IV fluids I got rushed out the hospital no prescriptions for antivirals or anything, absolutely no recommendations on natural remedies seeing that my medication options are limited. What are you guys getting paid for rushing people in and out not even making sure that they will make it through the night. I have a severe and aggressive strain of the flu and all I received was 3 Tylenols and a cup of ice that I had to ask for. Great job doc!
