Yesterday I took my car to Goodyear for 2 new tires and a NYS Inspection, and was told that it would cost $2700 to repair. This didnt sound correct to me, as my car was not making any strange noises, driving weird, no indicator lights, etc- so I told the mechanics at Goodyear to take my car off the blocks and not to touch the car any further. The mechanics at Goodyear were not happy about this, and did everything they could to convince me that my entire brake system needed to be rebuilt on both the front and rear brakes of my car. It just didnt feel right to me, and I am so glad I listened to my intuition. A friend of mine recommended taking the car to C&C, and they were able to fit me in the next day. They were incredibly pleasant and professional, and after inspecting the car told me that all I needed were 2 new tires and brake pads and routers for the front. The cost was only $650- over $2000 less than what Goodyear quoted. After reviewing the original quote I received, the mechanics at C&C told me several things I was quoted at Goodyear were completely unnecessary and confirmed my original suspicion that I was being taken advantage of. If you are looking for a quality, honest mechanic in the North Buffalo-Kenmore area, I highly recommend them. My husband and I will use them for all of our future repairs.
