Helen Scully-Nisa I had an amazing experience at Xcellent Hair Plaza in Astoria. I decided to try this salon after having a terrible experience at a very trendy place in Flushing and I’m glad I did! Anthony did everything right: he listened to what I wanted, stopped to check in with me to make sure I was happy with what he was doing, and explained what he was doing and why. There was no point where I was worried or felt ignored, which was important to me given prior experiences at other salons. I got a cut and color balayage and I’m thrilled with my results. Everyone at the salon was incredibly friendly and attentive, the prices are very fair, and the quality of work that’s done is stellar!

Edward Wenglin I made an appointment with Winnie. Thanks for Allysa Dong’s review posted a year ago. Winnie was very friendly and spent one hour on cutting, designing, washing, and styling my hair. She even shared some tips how I could style my hair in the morning before leaving for work. The price was very reasonable, including tips, which was $30. I definitely will go back to this salon.

Hannah Uzzle Zarina is absolutely a miracle worker. I went in with a bad home dye job back in December and she was able to transform my hair in one day! Then my touch up in February. I will continue to be coming back. everyone there is super nice

nicole delapenha Kara did a great job with my curly hair. She’s really sweet and professional. I got highlights and a curly cut on my virgin hair which might take a while of getting used to but nonetheless it was a great experience!

Shytera Rice First time EVER getting my hair cut in she did a amazing job Its my birthday and wanted something new showed her a picture of what I wanted and she delivered exactly what I asked for. Would not get my hair done anywhere else and her prices are extremely affordable! Worth the travel from NJ!

He truly is talented when it comes to hair. I have never met a hairdresser quite like him before. Whether it’s color, cut, blowouts or treatments, Albert will guide you in what’s best for your needs. His staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant to work with. The salon is clean and has a very friendly vibe. Definitely give it a try. You won’t be disappointed !!

Regina Poodoon Priya did an excellent job on my hair today. I made an appointment and she was on time. She asked my hair history, photos of what I wanted, and discussed the health of my hair and what I was willing and unwilling to do. My highlights, haircut and style were great. It cost $250. She is a professional. I recommend her. Make sure you book an appointment, it does get busy. Also wear clothes you might not care about getting product/stains on if you are coloring or bleaching your hair.
