U-Roy Agboli I visited this university today and I was thrilled at the architecture. There’s this inexplicable aura of tranquility and calmness. It’s so serene and I felt so much at home that I almost didn’t want to leave. I wish we had schools like this Africa with so much ambience of love

James M. Flmokellen I’m currently a 2nd year Ph.D. Student in the department of Educational Policy and Leadership. This university has all the characteristics of an R1 institution, the professors are just amazing and supportive! I can recommend anyone who’s in search of quality education to not hesitate to make this university at the top of his scale of preference!

Amy The college of Saint Rose is no longer a college. It is various different offices now.

Idaho Wumbo I feel like one star would be harsh, but three stars would be too nice. My experience with Saint Rose is that it is, like many colleges in this country: overpriced. That is a common complaint with all colleges, but its more than that. I think the value of the education you get there doesnt really match what you are/will be (if you are taking loans) paying for. I feel the education at Saint Rose is not preparing the younger generation to enter the workforce or the real world. The school boasts great academics and dont get me wrong, some classes have been very objective based and informative. However, some classes made me feel like I was still in high school/the public education system. As in, 1) They arent that challenging, 2) They dont teach me skills and knowledge that Ill need in the future and 3) It feels like some of the classes had a larger agenda to them (trying to convince students rather than teach). Besides the academics, the campus is nice. Personally, Albany, NY is not my cup of tea but for someone coming from the NYC area (which theres a lot at SR), it might be nicer to be in a much smaller city. Besides that, I think most adults see college campuses kind of deteriorating in terms of the academics and culture. I dont need to go into details about that. I think many adults and people in the workforce understand what I mean though.

Krystal King My time at BSC were some of the best years of my life. I made a ton of great lifelong friends and connections with amazing teachers, classmates, and other staff. Loved it so much Ive gone back for two more degrees. Everyone here is so open, friendly, and supportive. Teachers get to know you personally and are always ready to help you out.

Cameron Kirkpatrick BSC is a phenomenal school. They work with my schedule and are very understanding of life situations that arise. The instructors take time to make sure you understand the material. The staff is fantastic and are very knowledgeable. If youre looking for a school that gives you a degree and prepares you for the workforce, this is it.

Patrick Phelan I do not regret getting my degree here. The teachers were great the cafeteria was good and their was ample off campus housing. 2 major cons no real athletic program and our school logo is pathetic especially since it is known as a fine arts school.

Mary Grace This has taken me a while but I am finally ready to share my experience in the NP program. Prior to this my experience at SAGE was positive. As a student in the NP program I was spoken about but never spoken to by the department chair. She NEVER offered assistance or suggestions for my potential success instead discussed my potential failure at the door of the classroom with another colleague. Really ladies how unprofessional. I worked extremely hard during my time at Sage, academics were always a challenge. It was not until I was unsuccessful at this juncture that I was diagnosed with dyslexia. So while your professionalism had a very negative impact on my feelings of self-esteem they lead me to a discovery that changed my future. I am happy with the path I chose walking away from the practitioner role. Shame on you. mg

Linda Secrum Complete Chaos there. Administration quits about every 2 to 3 weeks so new people have to come in. They dont inform the students of contact changes, like who our new Dean or advisors are. If you email them, chances are you wont get a reply. while doing the labs, the instructors had no clue what we are doing, the agenda for that day is. When they do notify us of changes, the notifications are to late. example, telling students while they are at work, that today is the last day you can get the newly required covid test for clinicals and wont respond to questions asked by the student.

Tony BLAY III I would give no starts but unfortunately, I have to put something. Long story short this school is all about the $$$$ hiring employees (I wont call them teachers at all) that are at the bottom of the barrel if youre asking my opinion; Im sure there are a few good apples but far few and in between the mismanagement & chaos. Continuing the domino effect due to poor recruiting of individuals to teach future nurses for the second time have terminated teacher(s) 3/4ths the way into my module (semester) and cancelled the class forcing me to take the classes over again!!!!! (This pushed my graduation back 6months). Now for the cherry on the top the school has failed to try to work with the students from cancelled classes and or to reimburse students tuition for those classes even if theyve passes finals with good grades. Students have been told to sign up again for the class in their next module. I repeat DO NOT apply to this school and find other solutions that are more professional and considerate to students and their education in the medical field; This school is not what it used to be years ago which is why I initially applied but now totally regret the decision.

Linda Whitworth I attended Mildred Elley from 2001-2003 and got my medical assistant degree. Overall, my experience at the school was pretty good. The problem was that I was saddled with a huge student loan debt. Then, come to find out many years later, that I could not sit for either the certified medical assistant exam or the registered medical assistant exam for whatever reason. And even if I could, 90% of what would have been on the exam was never covered in the courses. This has limited my employability. I had gotten in touch with them a few years back enquiring about their LPN course and was told that I still owed them money. That is not possible as 100% of my $13,000 tuition was covered by loans & PELL. Plus, you cant graduate if you owe money. I never received a billing statement saying that I did owe anything nor have I received anything since. If I had known then what I know now, I would have made a different choice. Definitely not worth the $13,000 tuition. **Addendum: I was contacted by Mildred Elley today to follow up on my review. They are working hard at changing their image and to become more accommodating to past and current students.

Prosperous Ventures Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ (0 star out of 5) As a former student at this nursing school, I can confidently say that it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The administrative staff, the dean of students, and the teaching staff all seemed completely disinterested in the well-being and success of their students. Heres why this nursing school is the worst: Unresponsive Advisors: One of the most frustrating aspects of attending this school was the complete lack of support from the so-called "advisers." Whenever I reached out for guidance or assistance, I was met with silence and indifference. It was as if they simply did not care about their students concerns or academic progress. Misuse of Student Funds: To add insult to injury, the school appeared to have no problem taking hefty sums of money from students for tuition and fees. However, when it came to providing essential resources or services, they were nowhere to be found. It felt like a complete rip-off, and I couldnt believe how they justified their egregious misuse of student funds. Unprofessional Teaching Staff: The teaching staff lacked competence and professionalism. The lectures were often disorganized and delivered without any passion or enthusiasm. It seemed like they were just going through the motions, not caring if students were grasping the material or not. Lack of Support: When students faced challenges, either academically or personally, there was no support system in place. The dean of students showed no empathy or understanding towards students individual circumstances. Instead, they appeared more interested in brushing off any issues rather than addressing them constructively. Left to Fend for Ourselves: As students, we were left to fend for ourselves throughout the entire educational journey. There was no sense of community or camaraderie among students because the school failed to foster a positive learning environment. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering this nursing school to think twice and explore other options. The lack of professionalism, unresponsive staff, and neglectful attitude towards students needs make this institution an absolute disaster. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and seek a better nursing school that actually cares about its students success and well-being.

Future Nurse 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND What a slap in the face for a student to file a grievance for misrepresentation and be ignored by all administrators. So many red flags about this school that people ignore simply because they accept everyone and give us all the bare minimum! If you go to this school just know that you will have to teach yourself, get a tutor and stay away from administrators because they don’t care. They will still collect their paychecks whether you pass or fail. They will still take a leisurely walk down New Scotland Ave during school hours like students aren’t looking for answers. Good luck to anyone attending this school but I will go to great lengths to make sure I’m not responsible for this $32,000 scam of a nursing school!

Galloway Nathaniel “Aniel” A lovely extension of the SUNY Albany campus, its either a pain for being so far from the rest of the college. Or a welcome break from the main campus close to Washington Park. Either way, I always loved having classes downtown. With the improvements they have made to the buildings and parking lot its now easier to arrive on time and park safely.

Justin T. This school cannot handle the amount of students they have. Students are crowded into lecture halls, where teachers lectures are unregulated therefore often irrelevant to what students should be learning to be powerful in there career. Professors are often unavailable, they are often "very busy". They offer "tutoring" where a bunch of students can fight for the attention of one tutor a couple hours a week.
