X yzzI Big, beautiful campus. I did a self guided tour with my bf and we loved it. Respectful staff, respectful people, awesome environment. Even though its in the Bronx but I still loved it. I want to make another visit... since someone on the phone ruined my day on April 3rd :/ (its not school related I promise) but I still had a good time. I will revisit this amazing Campus again

desmond thesongwriter I attended the Spring Concert of the Lehman College Community Chorus & Symphony Orchestra. I liked the soprano section of the chorus. The rest of the performance was competent. There were some balance issues at the beginning. The orchestra was too loud. The choir sings with way too much vibrato for my taste, even for a romantic composer, Schubert. The soloists were too far back on stage. I celebrate and respect old age but I think if the conductor was more able bodied she would have brought out a more precise, dynamic and expressive performance from the choir and orchestra. Several entries of the choir and or orchestra lacked precision and confidence probably due to feeble conducting. I think it is time for the conductor to pass the baton to someone more able bodied.

Nils Paellmann Beautiful campus (formerly NYU Bronx Campus). The campus contains remarkable modern architecture by Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) and Robert A.M. Stern (born 1939), including Meister Hall, Begrish Hall, Carl Polowczyk Hall, and Colston Hall by Breuer and North Hall and Library by Stern. The famous Hall of Fame is currently closed for renovation.

elalva Bronx Community College located in the University Heights section of the Bronx is the former home of the NYU College of Arts and Sciences as well as its Engineering school. The Hall of Fame for Great Americans is located there. The latter surrounds the historic Gould Library designed by Stanford White. It is a classic double domed and columned building with beautiful bronze doors. (Think Florence) These buildings are worth the visit. Remember the campus is part of City University and you may have to show ID and have packages inspected.

Chrystal Tyler Visited Bronx Community College today for the First time. Living in the area for years and never knew this was here by the trees of the Major Deegan. The campus is exquisite so much history in the architecture. You really can’t comprehend this is in the Bronx. This use to be the old NYU Campus many years ago. It’s like time stops here the chaos around you just stops doesn’t even feel like you’re in the Bronx for a second. I’m so happy my son chose this school for his College. The College feels very safe and that’s very important to me.

Thunder M. I have graduated with the AAS at Hostos, and Im so glad that Ive transferred here. All my professors were very professional, polite, and CARED about my future. I am really proud to tell people that I was a Hostos student. They dont pick up phones and answer emails for shit, even if youre right there dying, but I had a great time there. The only issue is that I never had an advisor, they never gave me one, so I had to do everything by myself, it wasnt that hard actually. If youre going for an AAS in 2D Animation & Design, then this is the right place.

Klaudja Guri I am a current student. The admission process was great. Olga M. “walked” me step by step and she explained everything I needed to know. Will Never forget how nice and helpful she was. The advisor , the Professors are excellent. They give me options each semester for days and hours and the most important they are there for anything I need , anytime. I see people saying that the school is not accredited which is not true. Nursing program is accredited , students sit for the boards right after graduation. DMS program is accredited with ARRT, after ARRT registry, graduate students can sit for ARDMS… I dont see any problem with this, who wants success have to work hard. I have been here 3 semesters and I did learn a lot already. Nobody was unprofessional or rude, the opposite. I am enjoying my “student life” at Monroe and I will Graduate Next year. Update: I graduated in 2023. I got an amazing job and doing my masters degree now with Monroe University.

Izaiah Velez The Campus is beautiful. The dorming experience is okay. Im currently in the nursing program. Taking my prerequisites like anatomy were great. The teacher is had for anatomy, Anthony Esposito is one of the best professors Ive ever had. Now that Im in the nursing program its a whole other story. I wont say all of the teachers are bad but alot of them really dont care. I have Susan Tighe for Med-surge and she is one of the worst professors Ive ever had. She is very unhelpful and makes no effort to help us pass other than to say "study ever day, weeks before tests to have a chance to pass. The majority of the class failed her first exam but no curve, no going over. Not to mention she makes her own tests and makes them much more difficult than the material we learn in class or even the practice questions we have available to us. The nursing program isnt all bad but yes many of the professors clearly dont think theyre there to help you pass

Luis If you’re looking for a PA program, stay far FAR away from this place. They staff teachers who literally aren’t even qualified to teach (this is something teachers have ranted about to students during class) and if you fall behind, they have no interest in catching you up. Many of the classes taught will not prepare you for the field. And if you make mistakes, they notoriously won’t tell you what mistakes you made. Without being told what you did wrong, it’s not possible to fix it for next time. How does that promote growth or ensure that the graduating cohort is properly educated? It’s so disappointing that such an expensive program is being held together with chewing gum and tape.

All of the clinical placement team including Sandra, Jane & Susan are all highly unprofessional. You can’t get in contact with anyone bc they’re all dodging ur emails, sending you your clinical placements late & then rushing you to get paperwork done even though it’s late because they didn’t give it to you. You can get ur nursing degree literally anywhere do not spend 60k+ to do it here!!

Gabriela Bad place for transfer students. They only want freshman right out of high school. I remember calling back in 2022 and the lady on the phone had a baby that was making sooo much noise and I barely heard what she was telling me. I told her what I read in their website that they only favor freshman students over transfer students and that I was a transfer and that they probably wouldnt take my credits. She dismissed me right then and there. She said "oh no youre a transfer? Then no because we prefer highs schoolers who just graduated." I was so disgusted because they do abide by this rule. But you know why? Because we transfer students know how to ask questions and know when the tuition is too high. So they wanna milk the bank accounts of the parents of these newcomers who have NO EXPERIENCE in college. So transfer students stay AWAY. I actually go to a better school in NJ which is very good and way cheaper. The only downside is the commute but I can deal with that. The picture I posted is straight from their website. Also I have a coworker who goes to this school and shes desperate bc she has no support. They fail ppl left to right and even if they miss half a point. She needs help but this college is money hungry and leave their students alone. Too bad. Mercy you need to do better.

Terry Linwe This is my college!! Love all the campuses, plus the professors are super friendly. My list of how awesome Mercy College is, goes on and on! Im writing because I read a comment saying the college is overpriced for a community college level. Lol, 1st off, Mercy is a 4-year nonprofit private college. The financial aid and scholarships offered covered my cost of attendance. Mercy College has opened a door for me to obtain a secondary education for little to no cost.

Thomas Berry When a school withdraws an offer of admission because youre asking too many hard questions, you know something is rotten. Which was an injury added to the insult of being unresponsive and then short to my follow-up inquiries. The end result was either meaningless because I wouldnt have attended anyways or a blessing in disguise - the place seemed sad (if beautiful) and the students unimpressive on my visit - but that doesnt excuse their behavior. Maybe theyve grown used to farming naive young writers to prop up what appears to be an undergrad program bleeding money, and hate it when someone asks difficult questions about how exactly the grad program is designed to facilitate meaningful outcomes. Or maybe the asking of questions is the mark of someone who truly is a bad fit for Sarah Lawrence College (which is to my mind a much more serious indictment of the place). Either way to summarily end a conversation and unilaterally withdraw admission in the middle of an email exchange in which nothing rude or even inappropriate was said is very strange (to say the least) and not the mark of an estimable place of *higher* learning, much less a decent group of human beings.

Emma Wilson I cant even begin to describe all the things I disliked about this school, I ended up transferring out. The positives I can think of are it is a beautiful campus and some of the teachers are decent, The staff for admissions and financial aid were very rude. The "don" system was more irritating then helpful They claim to be a college that puts high emphasis on writing, however I did not learn how to improve my writing in any of my classes. I learned more at my high school. Dont waste sixty thousand (I guess it is more now) dollars on this school. I did for a year and it was a big mistake.

DAHINER SD They do not specify if loans are being taken out towards your tuition. They will have the front desk staff memeber assist your enrollment application and all that good stuff by taking the computer mouse and checking each box on the computer that applies and then hurry you to the next page, while you sit there assuming you are being helped by them. It was my fault for not taking my time and reading through everything, but I also blame the financial advisors and staff for not explaining or specifying whats actually being taken out. I then asked if my financial assistance the only thing I thought I was applying for will cover everything in full and David from the office told me yes. I then arrived back to the office another day because I noticed loan statements in my emails. He then said well this is an expensive school and to not worry because once you graduate youll pay everything off. I took this as a complete insult as if they knew my situation or if Im guaranteed a job after I graduate. For one semester, I am now paying over 7,000 dollars in loans as a low income citizen. This was my first time ever considering going to college and as a new student they should of done a better job in just saying, YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE OUT A LOAN! Very simple right? This school had discouraged me in thinking about applying to any other college. It set me back financially but also taught me the greatest lesson of all. READ EACH AND EVERY WORD NO MATTER HOW LONG. Dont be fooled how nice this place looks. This school will get you for your money if you arent vigilant.$$$$$
