Jamie Hurt Frio Regional Hospital was such a blessing to my family. My dad was admitted to the swingbed program and he was treated with so much kindness and respect. He was thriving when he left there due to the care of the staff. My children have also had a wonderful experience with the nurses in the er. I definitely recommend!!!

Lisa J Went in for severe abdominal pain which turned out to be a rare liver blood clot, gallstones, and sludge. Obviously unexpected. Due to the diagnosis, I was transferred to a hospital with a hemotologist. We just moved to the area and were concerned about emergency medical care in a small town. Let me say with confidence, I wholeheartedly trust Dr. John Fanning and his team. I was made comfortable, checked on frequently, the staff (with the exception of the receptionist was warm and caring). So thankful for the thorough work up and catching this life threatening condition in time. The EMT staff was top notch and as gentle as possible with the hospital transfer given the road conditions and crazy traffic. Truly grateful for the superb care and would highly recommend this hospital for emergency needs!

Ashley Vickers I went to this ER because I had the most intense, painful experience I’ve ever had in my life. Seemingly out of nowhere, I had unbearable pain in my lower abdomen/ovarian area, to the point I started to vomit. My husband took me to the ER and all they did was do blood work before trying to send me home. I asked if the blood work would show any cysts or potential issues in the area I was experiencing pain and they said no. So I INSISTED they do an ultrasound and expressed my confusion as to why that wouldn’t be a first step?
From there, the Dr came in and said there was nothing to be concerned about and sent me home. When I gave my primary care Dr the paper work they gave me (results of the ultrasound sound), she was VERY concerned as there were two large fibroids the ER Dr didn’t even mention, which turned out the be the source of my pain.
They also tried to charge me for a trasvaginal ultrasound in addition to the transabdominal ultrasound, which they never did. Double check your bills and get a second opinion. It was very clear to me the Drs at this hospital could care less about their patients.

Moon Doggies Absolutely worst hospital Ive ever been at. The doctors and nurses are extremely rude. They make you feel stupid. They dont help cancer patients at all. Do not waste your time and money at this place. They will literally keep you in a room for hours just to tell you: "we cant find anything." But if you go to another hospital they will actually do their job and find something. I would not trust this place with cancer patients.
