Jericka Johnson This has been where I’ve gone for most everything I’ve needed through the years health wise. I pay out of pocket, because I’ve struggled to keep or be able to afford health Insurance as an entrepreneur, and the health issues I have make it difficult for me with work as well, but I do the best I can, with what I have, what I can manage, and that’s typically been something I’ve been able to work out with this office. It’s why I’ve continually driven 1-2 hours away, rather than get a new doctor where l actually live. I did the work to come in and be seen and treated, for many years. I fought to get better, and I always felt hopeful and amazing about having the security of somewhere I felt safe to go to, Even if I couldn’t pay out of pocket right away. It’s been a huge struggle getting the treatment I need over the years with no health insurance. It’s so disheartening that I’ll have it so soon, finally… and after the years of struggle, I now have to find a new primary doctor.
I never used to get turned away. I was always treated with so much compassion, and understanding, but then things changed. It doesn’t really feel this way anymore. Each time I’ve called over the past 6 months or so to make an appointment when I really needed it, I’ve felt so put off by the receptionist, her tone, and word choice. The warmth and comfort this office used to hold for me just isn’t there for me anymore. I’ll always be so grateful for this office, the way it used to be, the help, compassion, and support I’ve received over the years, but it makes me so sad to know the security I once had knowing I always had a place to call for help when I needed it, is not the case anymore. I don’t believe it’s the doctors fault, they are pretty incredible. Always have been, but patient experience really matters, especially for people like me, who struggle with what I struggle with. Feeling welcomed, understood, and like your health matters above all else is why I kept coming to this office. I’d still recommend going, you’ll get what you need, but if you struggle with depression/anxiety, or any health issue that stress triggers and makes worse, this might not be the place for you.

Carmen Markert I myself have been going to Dr. Birnbaum since I was about 15. So when it came to my own family, I thought of only her to help me care for my 3 children. They LOVE her! She and her staff make even the most unpleasant vaccine, as easy and painless as possible. If you’re going to trust someone to care for your well-being and that of your family , she’s the one.

jeff h Great service, courteous staff. I have nothing but good experiences there, aside from being sick and actually having to go to a doctor. I highly recommend Dr Birnbaum!
