Rita F Dr Brindley gave me wonderful care. I did have some complications with healing but that was due to my body’s ability to heal. Not only is he a good doctor but he is a very pleasant man. His staff is amazing as well.

Don Land The whole staff at Texas Tech that we interacted with were very professional but very polite and friendly. Their knowledge was top rank. As I have had injections before I found the experience not very pleasant. They understood my anxiety over the procedure and aleved that somewhat. I know I have to start somewhere to aid my recovery from two major surgeries in the last year and a half. I would really like to walk again. Thank you again for caring for me. I was impressed with your staff. May this coming year be better for us all.

JW Jolly This is my second time to be under Dr Grimes care. He is definitely a well qualified, highly intelligent and experienced surgeon. I enjoy talking with him, he has a great bedside manner, but definitely will talk with you about your care, not "to you". I have nothing but praise for him and his staff.

Rhonda Mitchell My experience with Texas Tech, and especially, Dr. Ferguson, my orthopedic doctor, has been the answer to a long awaited prayer. I opted for physical therapy rather than surgery. When dealing with a torn meniscus, this rarely works to repair the damage. Dr. Ferguson assured me that the surgical procedure was minimally invasive, and Id be home the same day as my surgery. His confidence helped me make the best decision! I am 4 days post surgery. A little stiff but very little pain if any! I recommend the team at Texas Tech medical pavilion! Very professional team!

Jeff Huckeby My experience with Dr. Grimes and his team has been practically ideal. My surgery went off without a hitch. I had reconstructive surgery on my left ankle due to a ruptured tendon and a collapsed arch that I had been walking on for years. Dr. Grimes took one look at it and knew exactly what needed to happen. The surgery was a little more intense than I anticipated and the recovery is taking almost twice as long as I anticipated. However, Dr. Grimes and his team has been available to answer any questions I had through the portal. 2 days after the initial cast was put on I had a concern and they brought me in and put a brand new cast on. No questions asked. I know three other people whom Dr. Grimes has worked his magic on. I find that Im no exception. I highly recommend this doctor and his team.

Hope Castillo My son and daughter both had to be taken to the emergency . One was admitted and one was discharged. But due to me being a single mother with no family around. I wasnt able to leave and go get my sons meds that he needed due to the fact that my daughter was admitted to a room . They refused to help him even though his temp was well above 102 and throwing up. They told me I would have to go back to the er and get him seen. And leave my daughter who is 5 among people she dont even know . This is truly upsetting. ...... I just needed Tylenol to hold him over till I could figure something out and they couldnt even do that . . . . .

Marukee 7 Absolutely the poorest treatment by a hospital I have ever received. Waited to even get seen for 6 hours, no food or drink for 9 hours total and ended up having to sign an ama to leave. I was also only brought a ham sandwich when I did request food yet I am Jewish and had made that clear, violations all over.

connie vance I had my first appointment here today and this is a great place,!! Upon entering. I needed a wheelchair and the people were extremely nice and helpful. I also went to the lab and the lady at the checking was very very nice and helpful. The person who took my blood was another exceptional experience.

Matt Ive recently been having several of my appointments at the Health and Wellness Center. Its been nice not having a half mile hike across the parking lot and everyone there is SO nice and helpful. Even the other patients are nice. My last MRI took half the time, being on a newer machine. The more appointments I have there, the better.

jennifer case Wonderful experience. The staff took excellent care of my mother. They listened to us, and helped make a very scary experience much better. The nurses on the acute care unit are incredible, and Dr. Grey and Dr. Reed were great.

Addysen Martinez I went for imaging back in April for a lymph node on my neck that is still enlarged. It was a referral from my PCP, because it had been several years and we just wanted to check it out and make sure everything was still normal. After the ultrasound, the ultrasound tech Maria led me out, and there was still some gel in my hair in that area of my neck. I went to sort of comb it out with my fingers, and she thought I was touching my neck/my lymph node, and rudely told me, "it would go away if you stopped touching it". I just wasnt expecting such a snarky comment, I honestly forget its even there and my PCP is the one who wanted to get an ultrasound done, it made me feel like she thought I was overreacting about something that has been around for almost 3 years. It seems small, but this one experience will keep me from returning to this hospital completely, and if you are getting an ultrasound specifically, I would suggest somewhere else that has more genuine, good-natured professionals working.

No offer to elevate or ibuprofen after paying $250 copay. Very unprofessional and not concerned. Never will be back and dont recommend.

We left feeling grateful that we have this wonderful facility with a professional staff so close and convenient to our home.

Linda R Dr. Weiss and staff are absolutely fantastic. He listens and spends whatever time it takes with you to understand your issues and to help you get to the root cause. Hes the perfect blend of traditional and functional medicine. He has, of course, the traditional background, but also is well-versed in other complementary treatments. Highly, highly recommend!

Shar Merchant Dr. Chris Weiss is awesome. I had not been to the doctor for years until I got a general check up a couple of years ago with Chris. Since then I had a few health concerns pop up and every time Dr. Weiss was able to help out every time. He is genuine and sincere and I truly feel like I am getting great help and building a relationship with him. For someone that did not like to see doctors for a very long time, I actually enjoy visiting with Dr. Weiss. I look forward to him being my source of primary care for many years to come. Thanks Chris!

Melissa M Constant issues with this place, and I can’t even get fully treated here, I have to find a different provider for a basic, common problem. The first nurse prac I saw here was horrible, argued with me about treatments I 1. didn’t need and 2. didn’t want, was condescending, and straight up told me she didn’t know anything about endocrine issues before she then tried to prescribe (incorrectly) and treat them. Thankfully she is gone, but the frustration with the office remain the same. The scheduler is also the worst, I’ve waited over 3 months for a referral that was completed on my NP’s end for 3 months now, and STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REFERRED. I called and was told she’d call me back, and of course she didn’t. I ended up finding a provider on my own. I had an issue with the scheduler before, and so has my mother who goes to this office, with them assigning us appointments and letting us know when they are via mail, rather than calling and asking what works with our schedules. It’s a waste of our time and is so inefficient. Also, calling the office is annoying as well since they hardly answer and it goes to voicemail 90% of the time. I’ve never seen that office busy so I’m not sure why they can’t answer phones. All in all, if you’re looking for primary care, find it elsewhere.
2 /5
Amanda Hartman I didn’t like how the office seems to advertise itself as a “walk-in” clinic, but then seemed initially put off that I wanted a “walk-in” appointment on a Saturday morning, 20 minutes after they opened, with NO PATIENTS in the parking lot. THAT frustrated me. HOWEVER, I was able to get an appointment scheduled for a few hours later; which was convenient, as I live five minutes away from the clinic. Erika, the NP was FABULOUS! I would DEFINITELY recommend her, and I would DEFINITELY see her, again. The clinic was clean and light and bright, and the staff friendly. I will go back, if I have a need that requires such.

Gary Dugger I recently learned about the services that they offer. I have been totally amazed at how caring and dedicated they are. The director came to my house and established a profile of our needs and immediately took action to ensure our family needs were taken care of. The nurse practitioner came to our house within a couple of hours and assessed our family member. Both individuals were so knowledgeable and professional and I’m just extremely grateful to both of them. I just can’t express my gratitude enough, these individuals really care about their patients, more than anyone else I have ever experienced.

peter griffin The providers here are amazing! But the staff in the front are absolutely horrible to deal with. Do not come to this clinic unless you want to be treated as less than. You will wait hours on the phone to get through to anyone but they leave messages threatening to cancel your appointment if you don’t call back. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve waited hours past my appointment time because of the disorganization of this establishment. It is truly disheartening the way I have seen and heard the women In The front speak to people. Especially when the community they serve is mostly at risk. If it wasn’t for the specific providers here I would leave but unfortunately I have no choice but to stay as many others are in this predicament as well. And I feel the reception area knows that and that is why they get away with having no bedside manner.

clover the providers are great. management is terrible. phone calls take 20+ minutes to answer, will put you on hold for extensive periods of time, usually only have appointments available months ahead of time. when you arrive to your appointment, staff are rude and slow, and you will end up waiting over an hour just to be seen. the healthcare itself is great, the staff running the front desk are absolutely terrible.

None of my voice-mail were ever returned, I never get answered, or Im placed on hold for 20 minutes and never checked on. Surgery went great with Dr. D. Homen. Woke in recovery hearing nurse talk about my face bleeding because tape to hold tube down throat in surgery-- female nurse saying I had a mole on face that was pulled off, causing bleeding. I DIDNT have a mole. Plus my face was bruised on both sides of mouth. I am 70 years old. Nurses need to be aware of older-- things skin. 4 days later and still bruised and cut still healing.

Toni Farrell 1 The Hoyer lift was not working as designed during admission. 2 The bed was broken and had to have a trash can to prop up the head of the bed to maintain breathing position 3 Did not follow Dr Scioli’s knee replacement protocol. Main concern was having to get a different CPM machine from the DME due to lack of instruction on how to use the one discharged with 4 Feet turned blue sitting on edge of bed, no assessment of situation 5 No phone call to receiving facility with orders for continuity of care 6 Oxygen, wound drain and urinary catheter tubing tangled together in lap due to incorrect positioning during discharge 7 HIPAA violation RX cream with label left in room after discharge 8 RX cream had not been applied to correct site of body 9 Care Navigator has not returned phone call when left a message 3/3/25 Contacted by the Risk Manager and provided an opportunity to discuss concerns. Since I had 5 previous positive experiences I am now willing to return and speak up about any concerns for prompt resolution.

Tyler Perez Probably the worst ER I’ve ever been in and I been to many in several states. Been in the waiting room for more than 6 hours for an actual emergency. No television or any entertainment to keep you occupied during the visit. There are not enough rooms for the number of patients they receive, so either build a new hospital or shut this bullshit down , the staff are okay but yall gotta have a greater sense of urgency when treating people time is money.

Rhonda Blount My experience with this hospital was horrible— A month ago was great in cancer part BUT this time through the ER was horrible. Let me say though the ER was great they tried to get to bottom what my problem was BUT when went to Hope tower it was horrible. I was admitted under observation. I guess because I had insurance they kept me there 3 1/2 days. But they hardly did anything at all. Because I was dizzy my bed was on for falling. I called and called no one came - I couldn’t wait anymore so I got up. No one called on intercom to see how I was. I went to bathroom and still for many many minutes no one called or came. A relative came into room to see me and asked what the noise was and they finally turned off my bed but still never asked me anything. Once during my visit a bed nearby (my door was closed) went off for 26 minutes. I begged to go home because nothing was getting done. But I guess because I had insurance they just kept me there. I left that hospital with exactly what I entered with. Still dizzy. Do not go there except cancer part or ER.

SKINZ Zamora Parking is a problem. UPDATE 2-27-2025 ER is trash they actually took a man to a room before everyone including myself that had been waiting for hours, just because he knew the ER staff. No he was not the sickest to go before us all. Once admitted to the hospital though,it was so nice. Staff was outstanding and I was so comfortable I didnt want to leave. ER makes the whole hospital look bad but its not.

Lyndie Fallen My daughter went in for a flu and strep test. Both came back negative so they sent her home. The next day she felt worse so she went back to ask if they could give her an antibiotic or something g to make her feel better. They tested her again, even though they had just tested 24 hours earlier, again came back negative. The doctor then gave her a steroid shot without explaining the astronomical cost associated with it. I just got the bill. After insurance paid them $3026.20 for the 4 strep and flu tests which should have only been 2, and a steroid shot they want me to pay an additional $622.80. If this is not the most predatory practice to do to a 19 year old freshman in college I don’t know what is. This system is criminal. WHY do we put up with this???? It has to stop. Insurance companies and the predatory medical establishments that get paid for bogus and unnecessary medical procedures and tests should be punished not the people who already pay outrageous premiums and high deductibles.

Tanya Arreola My son was a patient in their BICU, the nurses and doctors were all so kind and patient when treating him. They had toys set up when we got there, offered him snacks and kept a positive attitude during his care. The wound care team answered all our questions, walked us through his care and assured us he was in great hands when they had to take him away. They provided us a small wagon to take him around the hospital since he grew tired of staying in the room. You can tell everyone truly cares and loves their job, we appreciate everything each member did for our son and our family.

Stephanie Rystrom One of the worst hospital systems that I have ever been to. Needed emergency surgery and while many of the staff members were nice, the level of care is atrocious. I’m new to Lubbock so I’ve only had one experience here but I will go to Covenant next time. They wrote me a prescription for Tylenol 3 after major abdominal surgery. I went to their urgent care for better pain management control next day and was sent to the ER after they said I might have complications that I could die from, after going to the ER was told they would still only prescribe Tylenol. I understand there’s a drug epidemic in this country but for a medical provider to not give proper pain management after a surgery is disgusting. Do better UMC, would give zero stars if I could.

M Gwen (faegwen) MEDICAL care review section: I initially had Prabhu, but I switched to Bennett for two reasons. First, I requested I have three prescriptions common for my transition. Prabhu said she’d continue to only give me one of them and how the other two aren’t necessary. Talking to my trans friends who also see her, she gave them all the three prescriptions on day one. Why would her healthcare be inconsistent and refusing? The second reason, and final straw, was after Prahbu refused to approve a surgery consult for my partner’s surgery and one of her reasons was in case my partner wanted to detransition later in life. That was the second best trans doctor in 300+ miles: ignoring needs of her patients in favor of her own “what ifs”. Does she force cis people to become transgender “in case they want to transition later in life”? No. That would be unethical. And yet she treated us like that. Bennett was better. I walked in with my needs and she listened. She approved my prescriptions and even gave a confused look when I told her Prahbu wasn’t giving me them. Even Bennett looked confused by Prabhu’s treatment. With Bennett, my partner’s surgeries are completed and our peace has grown at home because of it. The surgery and my prescription changes positively changed our lives. Kelly Bennett was a positive force in our lives. It didn’t last. Still a one star. Bennett treated us inhumanly by the end of it all. It will be in the next section. FRONT DESK (reception): For years, their front reception staff misgendered me and my partner (and every trans friend I have who goes there also received same treatment from what they’ve told me). I stood in the check-in lines while staff poked heads around their office corners to stare and then jolt away when I look at them. I had countless interactions where their staff wouldn’t look me in the eye. Some times they’d never even bothered to look at me. It never got better. I called and called over the years asking them to change. Never happened. Apparently they needed me to change too, but they never told me like I told them. I had a first-ever conversation with a different supervisor during which she told me “if you don’t like it, you can leave.” A trans person. Go where? I asked her that. She couldn’t find a an answer for how I could find help anywhere else. Because there isn’t anywhere else to go. They terminated care with me after that conversation. Bennett never once spoke to me at any point through all of this. After the news, it took two days of phone calls with higher-ups to learn that the receptionists had been unhappy with my responses to their mistreatment for a while. They never actually TOLD me so I could adjust and KEEP MY HEALTHCARE. God forbid they put hope in me changing in the same way I put hope in them changing. I called them for years. Many times crying unable to speak while still trying to get them to the base line of dignity and respect. My family suffered through years of constant mistreatment. They WILL treat you the same. Don’t bother with the patient services office. The guy literally gave me a pitch for Plume like he found gold for the first time. Like we aren’t thrown targeted ads for this stuff constantly. This is my literal body and life and you think I’d never heard of Plume?!?! That’s called reduction. My life is lived. He reduced my life to having such little agency and experience that I couldn’t possibly know of one of the most basic service groups. I told him my socio-economic status and asked him how I could afford that service? He had no answer. Worst of all, he thanked me after all of it. He thanked me and my partner for “revealing these needs to us and we will be making changes.” Great… I now have a timer on my prescriptions with no solid hope or direction once the clocks hit zero. Closing remarks: I remember reading an article in which the journalist described Dr. Bennett as “An LGBTQ hero”. Abandons her charges without communicating anything in any way, shape, or form. Some hero.

Hannah Neill Came in here with a friend today that was told by a 24 hour clinic that she was likely suffering from toxic shock syndrome. We waited for 5 hours, and ended up having to leave because she was in too much pain and there was a very slim chance we would have been helped within the next few hours. We saw about 1 patient go in for treatment about every 2 hours. I told them it was ridiculous that my friend had not been helped because toxic shock syndrome can be deadly, and should be considered very severe where she should be treated soon. The staff told me that it was “not his fault” and offered no reassurance that she would be helped soon. When she told them she had to leave, they didn’t even question why or tell her that she should stay, they just watched her walk out. They have a terrible system, and if you’re in a dire emergency I would not recommend coming here.

Francis Ramirez The charge nurse has very unprofessional behavior. He kept repeating that the wait is 24 to 48 hours. Not just one twice, but around 5 times. Horrible bedside manner. Nurses like Chad should not be working in the ER or even with patients as no one deserved thus type of treatment. The he goes on to say to my mom, that she has had more than 15 visits to the ED. It is not his place to say this and treat people like garbage. I hope Covenant reassess his employment or he will end up causing case law or a tort. The board of nurse examiners needs to stop him in his tracks.

Tori Kitten Doctors are suppose to care, health, and help. Not here. You will be ignored, feel neglected, and not have any of your concerns or issues addressed. Ive never felt so hurt, ignored, and totally neglected. I left feeling like there is no hope for me to ever live normally again. Please do not subject anyone to this horrifyingly terrible place! They DO NOT CARE about you, your comfort, or your mental or physical health!
