Amber Gabriel I attended an art conference here and had a wonderful stay. The large complex offered many types of session rooms and formats from expos to seminars. They even covered floors with plastic for the paint and clay workshops. Staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking and elevators.

Sean Butcher This hotel feels like its straight out of the 2000s, and I love that about it! Its an extremely relaxing place with all the creature comforts you expect from a family friendly touristy resort. Theres a nice restaurant with a breakfast buffet, a rooftop steakhouse, gift shop, coffee shop, bar, and of course a pool. Even though the hotel feels a little dated (in a good way in my opinion) the rooms are very nice and clean. Its a nice family getaway for groups going to Moody Gardens or just visiting Galveston in general. My only complaint is that many of the amenities of the hotel are not operating during the "off season", which made the service aspect of the resort feel lacking during my stay. This is a minor issue as the main amenities, like the pool, restaurant, and spa, were still open.

Flip Coin Attended the Festival of Lights. A bit underwhelming with the pageantry of their illumination displays. My neighborhood’s holiday light shows offer much better dynamics and creativity. Definitely Not worth it for $30. Five dollars would be more appropriate. Plenty of parking, and felt safe. The staff are responsive if you ask them.

jerry Jones There was a delay at check in because there was an issue with our room (we checked in at 10 pm). We initially booked a room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa for our family of 4. We ended up with a single king, sleeper sofa, and a roll in bed. We made it work but it was very cramped. A comped breakfast or parking would have gone a long way to match the apologies we kept getting from the front desk. "Sorry for the delays, sorry for the down graded room". We were there for a wedding so it was convenient to stay there, but I probably would not stay there again.

Aimee I was here for the TCTELA convention. Check-in was an easy process. The staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but the rooms are comfortable and clean. Room was a nice size and equipped with a mini fridge and bath amenities. The only problem with the room was the temperature. I visited in February, and my room never got cool. It always felt “stuffy.” The thermostat appeared not to work. Housekeeping had left it turned all the way down but it never cooled. I spoke to 2 other convention attendees who complained of the same issue, so I assume it’s a problem experienced throughout the hotel and not isolated to just one room or floor. The convention center was a great space for our event! The meeting rooms were large and well-equipped. (I loved that they all had tables, not just rows of chairs.) There were plenty of restrooms, and the large ballroom was lovely. The food was some of the best hotel catering I’ve ever had. It was really a great experience. I’d enjoy attending another convention here, but maybe not in summer due to the issue with the hotel room thermostat.

Rhonda Bloomer I found the prices at this establishment to be quite high. When I communicated my preferences to a staff member who appeared to have undergone cosmetic surgery, she maintained that my nails were already shaped as desired and refused to fulfill my request. Consequently, I had to request a nail file in order to make the necessary adjustments myself. Additionally, I was charged an excessive amount for a basic nail set, which totaled $63, despite not opting for shellac or powder, it was the basic of basic. Pedi was $45, which is norm. On a brighter note, the pedicure service was exceptional. However, it was disappointing to notice that the staff seemed engaged in conversation and laughter among themselves while glancing in my direction, which led me to feel as though they might have been speaking negatively about me during my visit.

Blake Swift $70 for this. I will never again go to this salon again. I had also asked for an almond shape and was still given coffin. The left hand is very much barely worked on and half done. I do not suggest going here. As well, near the end of it there was lady’s gathering around giggling and talking about my nails. Never again.

J Gom I’ve honestly tried to give this salon a chance over and over again but the customer service is POOR. Each time I come, I keep having issues with my pedicure and acrylic set. Today for example, my toe nail was clearly chipped and she painted over it without clearly fixing it. If you’re the nail professional, I should not have to stop and ask the nail tech to buff it out, smooth it out or offer an overlay so that it looks neat and professional. When selecting a nail polish, sometimes you don’t get to see how it looks against the toe nail until a few coats. I asked to remove because it required too many coats for it to look good. They wanted to charge me extra to remove and do over when my other foot wasn’t even done. The nickel and diming of everything, including their mistakes is ridiculous. I should not have to pay for every single thing that should be included in service. It’s ridiculous… people spend way too much money for them To keep rushing or having people who can’t even communicate due to language barriers. Basic requests is not understood. It’s annoying and frustrating. They are under new management and they need to get it together. I spend well and tip well but today as I walked out of there, there was zero effort to even provide customer satisfaction. I will NEVER come back and spend my money at this establishment.

Selina Palacios They did pretty good on my nails and I didn’t notice anything wrong until I left a finger is a little crooked and my card was charged more than said on the receipt. Update: they gave me back 10$ of what they owed me but kept 5$ even though I tipped in cash

Noe Lusk DO NOT GO!!! I purchased the $40 pedicure & by the time I got home (which is a 5 minute drive) my feet were dry & my heels look like this. When I called to let them know that there was a problem they acted like they could not hear or understand me. So I told them that I would come back up there and they said ok. When I showed him my heels he said that they could NOT do anything about and that the skin on my heels were too thick & that if they would have filed any more then I would be hurting and bleeding, then he recommended that I put "medicine" on my feet every day after I take a shower & file them & then come back every two weeks for a pedi (for real dude?) When I asked what kind of medicine he tried to SELL me this "medicine" for $20. I couldnt believe it. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY! If I could give this place a BIG FAT ZERO I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD.

Hannah McLellan Oh. My. Gosh. I never do a nail place on a whim, but this was SO worth it after getting a recommendation from a cashier at a local shop. They took me in as a walk in and I was in the chair in under 10 minutes. My technician was AMAZING, though I didn’t get his name. He took such care with my nails, double and triple checking they were the length and shape I wanted. This absolutely made my vacation!!!

Kimberly Beatty Terrible experience and horrible nails. All of my nails are crooked and shaped weird. The service was terrible as the guy seemed pissed off the entire time. He got up once to put pain medication on his wrist. He then complained to me and blamed me for his terrible work saying I didnt relax my hand. I will NEVER go here again and strongly discouraged anyone from going here.

Remarkable Review Came here to get my nails soaked off and then a powder set. This was definitely not the cleanest nail salon. the staff here say hello to you when you enter but theyre not so friendly when theyre working on your nails. The woman that did mine was talking to her co-workers around and not even paying any attention to the work that she was doing to my nails. She filed my thumb nail down so much with the electric filer, that it hurts to the touch. I probably only have a thin layer of nail left on top of it. Not only that but she didnt even complete the nail removal process when she found out I didnt want to get my nails done after that, she hurried up and "finished" to get me out of there. she was in such a hurry that she didnt even get the acrylic and glue off of 5 out of 10 oh my nails. I mentioned that to her and she acted as though she didnt understand. I definitely wont be coming back. I was charged $10 for the soak off and I still paid it but Im definitely not happy that Ive had to go through this.

asia and ashley suayan My favorite place to go, they always so nice when I walk in. Pedicures are amazing and my nails are my favorite part. Every time I go I challenged them and they always achieve. Recommend 100%. They go beyond with nail art. Here are my favorite from the past three months.

Wanda Gutierrez We absolutely love this place. My sister comes into town from Oklahoma and I meet her from Houston to go to this salon—we usually get pedicures but the nieces get manicures and they love them. The salon is quiet, peaceful and the staff is respectful. The treatments are all nice and very well done, polishes are perfect even on my awful nails.

Ricardo Alvarado Let me preface by saying that I get a lot of massages (2 per month with a personal massage therapist and then more at hotels and spas whenever traveling) I also work in the spa industry so I have lots of experience with these types of treatments. I was warmly welcomed and given a tour of the beautiful spa facilities by Marisa. My 80 minute deep tissue therapeutic massage with trigger point therapy with Shalanda was THE BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD. I usually have to tell other therapists at the other places I’ve visited exactly what I want because my intake form gets ignored. The moment Shalanda told me to get started laying on my stomach, I knew that she knew exactly what I wanted and needed without me having to say a word. It was obvious Shalanda took great care to read my intake form which really ensured a complete and totally relaxing experience. Shalandas massage work is heavenly and her pressure incredibly therapeutic. I shed tears of joy/bliss when she was massaging my hand because no massage therapist has ever shown it the attention that she did. I truly wish that I could bring her home with me but I will be back as often as possible to treat my muscles to Shalandas magical hands. To top it off, I was able to finish things with the best steam shower and the nicest body scrub. The only thing that could have made this better would be a 100 minute massage option as I didn’t want to get off the table! Can’t wait to come back.

livvv I’ve been going to this place for almost 3 years. Today I went in and wanted to change my color of my nails. But anyways I’m on a budget cause I just started working again. So I just got plain nails, that should of not been $55 bucks. They should of been $45. All the sudden she wants to charge me extra cause I’m getting my nails taken off. Like I said I’ve been going there for almost 3 years all the sudden she charges me to get my nails taken off when I am getting another set. Who does that?? I will continue to go get my toes done, but other than that I won’t be getting my nails done.

Jayne Carr Very insistent up sale which I didn’t agree to but ended up being charged for. “This looks better.” I don’t care. I didn’t want it!! On top of that she hurt my toe when trimming. I will never be back.

David Roethler Very disappointed with my last visit. Up until now the service has been great. And truth be told they did an excellent job this last time. They just over stepped the boundaries set. I went in with my niece, great niece and friend. I specified pedicures for the four of us. Also manicure for my great niece. My great niece asked for a flower on her toes. I authorized it. My nieces technician started doing her nails. She was told no if it cost more. The tech said dont worry, Ill take care if you. When it was time to pay I was quite shocked at the price. So I asked for an itemized bill. They did all twenty nail tips on the eight year old and expected to get paid the extra amount. When I explained that was not authorized, they said the eight year old said it was ok. They took ten dollars off. Then we got to my friend. She was $56.00. All she wanted was what I had at $31.00. Next was my niece at $78.00. She also wanted the $31.00 dollar pedicure. I guess what the tech meant by taking care if it was to charge me. Sum it it up. Four people with pedicures and the little ones manicure came to $210.00. As I said they took $10 off. Its a shame, I had good service several times before. But I will not be taken advantage of.

Sonji Sonji “JIJI” I went there on a Thursday about 5 minutes before opening. Molly did not open the store until 15 minutes passed time to open. When I finally got in, she just sat in the back office. When I had question(S) she didnt know anything about anything. SHOCKED! I guess I will go back to shopping on-line. The two day wait will be worth it.

MJ Ngo Extremely disrespectful it’s obvious these workers are unhappy with their life to be taking it out on customers. Mock Denise (PINK) Update: My thumb is starting to chip off. Ugh was afraid of this. Definitely needed more curing time under the light. Extremely disappointing after dropping ~$150 for them to obviously not last 2 full days. Not the greatest experience but not the worst. I came in from out of town yesterday and did not have an appointment, called in 5min prior & they welcomed me. The atmosphere was somewhat friendly but overall extremely rushed. The guy doing my nails did a decent job not showing his impatience to me picking out my nail color. (What can I say- let your clients choose b/f getting them sat down & this wouldn’t be a problem) He was a bit rougher than I like catching me a few times with the removal tool, and ultimately my nails came out uneven/crooked in spots & idk what’s going on but the pink has some weird purple water type marks that are coming through today. I’m assuming b/c he was rushing the coats didn’t dry completely. I didn’t like the fact he kept getting onto the pedi lady & turning off my massage chair. The mani could have waited IMO. It made for a miserable experience having to constantly stretch my arm over to him. I ended up trying to juggle the basket of colors on my lap with one hand- knocked over the light, struggled to find a color. Then ultimately once I did they accidentally lost track of it & almost gave me the wrong pink lol Now- The lady doing my toes did EXCELLENT. She verified & actually got the water temp accurate, did a decent job on the service, the paint looks beautiful- same pink- no weird water marks. My only complaint would be the massage portion. She was a bit rough on pulling/popping toes and did it multiple times vs a relaxing massage- however I blame that on the dude getting into her to keep me still. Pricing was about average, noticed the add ons (paraffin wax, shellac, etc) were a bit gaugy but that’s pretty typical nowadays. Ultimately I’d prolly revisit again & request different mani tech to do my hands & have it done completely separate from the pedicure chair.

Sara Willett Worst nail had in my entire life. First she cut my nails at a diagonal - until she cut and they bled. Then I took the clipper to straighten it - she cut me numerous time. And their is nail polish all over my skin and she couldn’t clean up. AWFUL! Never ever ever again. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here…if I could post less then one star I would.

Alexus Marie Honestly, I’m not one to leave a bad review. But me and my sister went here because I needed a refill and she needed a full set. #1 they are SO SO rough with your nails, the establishment is not clean, and the lady I had was SO rude. I’m from a different state which is why I went here instead of my usual place, I’ve never ever broke a nail or chipped my paint. 6 days after doing my nails my paint chipped, and my sister broke a nail. The acrylic on my nail is so thin it’s ridiculous. My nail tech paused 3 times during my refill so she could do eyebrows. Definitely don’t recommend. Their shaping is horrible as well.

Ana Very VERY pleased with the experience and talent!! Henry did an A-maaazing job on my nails!! I showed him a picture of something I wasnt even sure could be done and he got right on it! He asked a couple of questions on color preference and even tweaked it a bit to customize it for me! For all the work he had to do he got it done in a jiffy! Thank you for everything
