Rebecca I just recently called this place and spoke with a lady named Donna or Dawn (I’m not quite sure (so sorry)- so many calls today). I was calling to schedule an appointment. Although my insurance wasn’t accepted there, this lady was so pleasant to speak with. It’s been a rough morning for me with trying to schedule doctors appts and having a difficult time with it, and she was probably the nicest person I have spoke with all morning. It’s little things like this that make such an impression sometimes and make all the difference. This clinic definitely has some valuable staff there. Just wanted to take a second out of my morning to say thank you to her.

Kathryn W My dad has been seeing Dr. Salley as his primary care doctor for a while. My dad is in his 70s and gets blood work done regularly. For the past year, my dad had been telling Salley that he had been having dizzy spells and Salley never ever looked into it. Last week, my dad got severely sick and had also fallen at home. I took him to see Salley and he completely disregarded what my dad was telling him. My dad was clearly not himself and very disoriented. Which Salley should have recognized considering my dad not only sees him on a regular basis, but had just done a check up on my dad the week before. Didn’t test him for anything, didn’t talk about his fall, and sent him on his way with antibiotics. 2 days later, my dad falls at home again and we rushed him to urgent care in San Antonio. My dad tested positive for type A flu and not only that, my dad had sodium levels so low, that he had to be put in the ICU. His blood pressure medication that he had been on is known to cause low sodium levels (that Salley should have known and been monitoring ) and that mixed with my dad having the flu put him days away from dying if we hadn’t taken him to urgent care. Salley failed my dad so miserably. My dad had been telling him for a YEAR about his dizziness which we now know was caused by his blood pressure medication causing him to have low sodium. Salley also didn’t test my dad for the flu which someone in their 70s with other health conditions, needs to know. My dad had OBVIOUS flu symptoms and Salley gave him ANTIBIOTICS because he just assumed without testing. My dad is still in the hospital recovering and will have to spend time in a rehabilitation center before he can return home. My dad will never ever go see Salley again!! My dad would not have been in the condition he was and is currently in if it weren’t for Salleys negligence. STAY AWAY!

Donna Kurz Dr. Sally is a good listener and thorough. He spent time to get all the information and asked questions, did blood work and explained all testing results. Changed a couple of meds as necessary. Highly recommend.

Hana Bobrowski I’ve been a patient here for years. I am young but have a lot of disabling chronic health issues. If you have no issues, there are no issues here but this isn’t a good place if you need actual care from people who care. But I went in for an appt where I was needing help getting off some medications. I really expressed my physical pains and it made me emotional to be open and honest. He took this as me having mental issues and not wanting to deal with me. He gave me a bottle of Benzodiazepines(a highly addictive controlled substance) and told me to come back once I’ve “calmed down”. He also looked at me and said the word “Gross” when I said my condition makes it hard for me to shower. This was highly insulting to me and everyone else in my shoes. Dr. Salley needs to really re-think his bedside manner and how he treats his patients. Upon looking at my medical records they have issues on them I never even discussed, such as diagnosed Insomnia, when I never said I have sleeping issues?! I feel completely invalidated as a patient and human being after dealing with this office for so long.

Logan Ball The moment I walked in, I was greeted with the nicest receptionist named Debbie. She made me feel welcome and had a great sense of humor and seriously was just the biggest sweetheart. I was seen by Dr. Hurst and he was just as welcoming and did thorough checks after describing my symptoms. They really put in the work for their patients. Everyone there was great! I cannot even begin to describe how awesome this place was. Ill be going here from now on because they actually care. Unlike Baptist Neighborhood hospital on Hausman and 1604. Avoid that place like the plague. Those people should be fired. This place is a hidden gem! Everyone needs to come here. Thank you Debbie, Dr. Hurst and the rest of the staff for your service!

Dominic Leone I visited here to get a shard of glass removed from my leg. Everyone who was there was super caring and kind. I got what seemed to me as a minor surgical procedure. Through the entire procedure Dr. Paulson was super gentle and comforting. He was extremely reliable and professional. Well done.

J C Smith Excellent staff, very clean facility. All very proffessional. The doctor told me I would receive an antibiotic before leaving, an Rx for the antibiotic, and a steroid shot. On the way home I realized I didnt receive the shot. I called back, the nurse said it wasnt in the chart. Apparently she didnt check with the doctor. Im now at the pharmacy - the antibiotic shot wasnt written. Im waiting for the clinic to call it in.

Patricia J Stout Two good experiences here in the past year. Took my elderly dad for cough and he was treated promptly and with respect, no problems with out of state insurance and communicating with out of state docs. Went the extra mile. Then I went for urgent care for heat illness in May and Dr Paulson and staff was excellent. They tried to get to the root of my symptoms and brought snacks for my husband while we awaited results. They found a good hospital for me to transfer to on a holiday weekend. I felt very cared for at a scary time. Very clean, not busy when we went.

Valerie Montes January 8, 2025 walked into the ER. Everybody was very very sweet. Very kind. The doctor the nurses I would highly recommend this place. They have the equipment available. You don’t have to go anywhere else for x-rays CT scans. MRIs bloodwork lab work wonderful place. They also had a little bar with coffee water and some snacks. Healthy snack snacks wonderful, everybody was very very polite. Very sweet awesome place.

Emma Wojahn My husband was seen by Ms. Shelby. She was amazing, showed my husband not only empathy but respect. Ms. Shelby showed to be a very knowledgeable PA. Her referral to a specialist was remarkably chosen, he was one of the best in his field. She has kept the line of communication open. Also, the front desk was very professional and answered all questions previous to his appointment. Ms. Ann was also Great, both visits she had a smile on her face. Thank you all..... I am now going to schedule my appointment!

Probin I miss Brandon, best PA ever. PA Shelby talks to me like Im a kindergartener. Im probably 30y older than she is. Sarah in referrals is horrible and untrustworthy, makes everything take weeks instead of days. Office manager still hasnt called back after 2 days.

Randy McGuire Ive been coming here for several years and every time I go, its always something. Long waits, not ordering prescriptions, doctors who only care about putting you on medications and now they screw up my last appointment. I specifically asked for the Helotes location and the lady scheduled me at another clinic across town. Im done with this place! No wonder my blood pressure goes up when I walk in there.

Dwain Markham Absolutely horrible and everyome there is unprofessional. Only cares about getting you in the office so they can overcharge your insurance. Ive been waiting for over 2 weeks now and arguing with them on a daily basis to get my monthly prescription filled that I have been taking for over 15 years amd now being told I have to come into the office for a third time in one month just to get prescriptions filled. Totally unacceptable.

Kaye My son and myself have been seeing Kelcey. Shes a PA at the Bandera location right now and she is nothing short of AMAZING. I had given up on going to doctors for my personal issues but she made me think differently. She is so attentive and genuinely gives the utmost care to her patients. I really could cry talking about how much comfort shes brought me when I figured all hope was lost. She was my last chance (mentally) to get things under control and I am so happy it was her I saw and will continue doing so.

Josh Altman The only reason I would give 1 star over an absolute 0 is because the doctors here are great. Dr. Jaafar is amazing! However, the staff is completely under sub par. They are short, unresponsive, unwilling to help, and oblivious to any concerns the patient may have. In dealing with Mary Kay, she leaves your concerns as "your own problem" and is childish in providing good help or any viable information otherwise! I am glad to have moved far enough away to never return here as my Primary Care facility because in part of their hired staff!

Karen Davis My sons paperwork always seem lost he never sees the same doctors. we have had test done and they never tell me the results then when i ask them for the results they cant seem to find them.I cant stand being judged because of not having money or having 2 kids with different last names. They are over priced and rude. If it werent for covid i would find a different doctor in kerrville. But i will just stay close to home tell thos covid is finially over or vaccines or control starts happening.

Peggy M Horrible staff that try to shift all the blame for lost paperwork, faxes, etc. to the patient. Ive even been blamed for the pharmacy filling the wrong dosage of a medication when the refill request came directly from doctors office; either because they were too lazy to look through the patient file and see where the dosage was changed, or they never bothered to update it in the file in the first place. One of my family members was taken off Cumadin because it had become life threatening to continue to use it and they didnt even have that information in the patient file and they wanted to up his dosage of Cumadin when he next visited them for a routine checkup. They cant communicate a simple message to anyone. They try to cram as many patients into a 15 minute appointment time as possible, so the wait is ALWAYS long. Always blame the pharmacy when they dont have a request for a prescription refill; even when there is proof that the pharmacy DID fax the refill request to them (more than once in most cases). They dont update their patient files with pertinent information. Their standard phrase when talking to them on the phone is "Im not going to argue with you"; when in fact thats all they ever do. Their efficient and cold way of answering the phone is "Bandera Family Practice, please hold"....EVERY time you call. And then of course, you either wait 10-15 minutes or get disconnected while youre holding. 90% of the people I talk to about their experience with this clinic have the exact same opinion of this office and can also say that everyone they know that visits the clinic feels the same too.
