Dee Sellers Exceptional Care in a Small Town Emergency Room
During a recent girls weekend trip to Fredericksburg, I unfortunately had an accident that required a visit to the emergency room. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience and express my gratitude for the exceptional care I received at the emergency room in this small town. From the prompt attention to the knowledgeable and caring staff, my time at the emergency room was nothing short of remarkable.
Upon arriving at the emergency room on Sunday morning, I was relieved to find that the wait time was minimal. The staff efficiently managed the influx of patients, ensuring that I was able to see a doctor fairly quickly. This prompt attention greatly eased my pain and anxiety, setting the tone for the rest of my visit.
One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional care provided by Nurse Wilma. Her friendly demeanor and compassionate approach helped alleviate my fears and made me feel at ease. She was attentive to my needs, ensuring that I was comfortable throughout my time at the emergency room. Nurse Wilmas dedication to her profession is truly commendable.
Dr. Martinez, the attending physician, demonstrated a high level of expertise and genuine concern for my well-being. He took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and explain the diagnosis in a way that was easy for me to understand. Dr. Martinezs professionalism and compassion were evident throughout our interaction, and I felt confident in his abilities as a healthcare provider.
Upon learning that I had broken my Tibia and required surgery, I was introduced to Dr. Ritchie, my surgeon. From the moment I met him, Dr. Ritchie instilled a sense of trust and confidence in me. His expertise and meticulous approach to the surgery were evident, and I knew I was in capable hands. The surgery was a success, and I am grateful for Dr. Ritchies skillful work.
Throughout my overnight stay, every single person involved in my care displayed a remarkable level of knowledge and compassion. From the nurses to the support staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and well-being. Their attentiveness and genuine concern made a significant difference in my overall experience.
In conclusion, my experience at the emergency room in Fredericksburg exceeded all expectations. Despite being a small town, the level of care I received was exceptional. From the prompt service to the compassionate and skilled healthcare professionals, I felt truly fortunate to have received such outstanding care during a difficult time. I am incredibly grateful to the entire team for their dedication and expertise.

Kay Roberts My husband was in extreme pain, could not sit up. Registered with the emergency office and asked for someone to help. We did have a nurse come and ask what the problem was, nothing said about helping him in or a wait time. 15 minutes later another nurse came and told us we could not park there, ambulances are coming in. When I asked when he could be taken in, all I got was excuses. " We only have 11 beds, go sit in the parking lot and we will call you when it is your turn". Very hateful and did not have an ounce of compassion or even caring.She looked and dressed like a nurse, came out of the "Emergency Ambulance Only" doors, but was the parking police.
I recommend to google the next ER and go there. Do not go to the alley way they call "Emergency " at Methodist Hospital in Fredericksburg. If I could, I would have even them negative stars.
By the way, the 45 minutes we sit there not one ambulance came in. We went to Baylor Scott and White, he was in a bed and being treated in less than 8 minutes.

Avilene Avila My husband and I brought our daughter to the emergency department because she was in extreme pain crying. We arrived at 2 pm, many people were waiting she was told that they needed more rooms available so she waited till 7pm almost 8pm. The nurse took everyone but our daughter and more people came and the nurse took those people. We had no choice but to leave with our daughter because the woman at the front when my daughter asked how much longer was told to come back in the morning reason she went to ER is because she needed the care as soon as possible she is still crying in pain. When we called the person in charge of check in they said she was not checked in, she was overlooked and even when she asked the woman that we checked in with she said she couldn’t do anything didn’t even give her a wait time or inform her of how long. So there is a disconnect or someone in this department who is not properly taking in patients according to the severity of the needs that need to be met. It was not remarkable care at all because she wasn’t even seen by a Dr. our daughter is also Hispanic and I’m not sure if it’s because of that but sure felt like she was purposely being skipped because another woman that was not as severe as she was ,was taken back before her and anyone coming in as well was taken back she just kept being pushed back by the nurse. I’m concerned that if I ever need emergency care or my family and if it were a life and death situation that this hospital would not care. If we had the option to another hospital close by I would choose that option. We have never had an issue with this hospital until today, but I was upset along with the others that needed to be seen most of the staff was talking and seemed in no rush to attend to the patients. I was disappointed and felt bad for all the patients that needed to be seen including our daughter this hospital needs more rooms for care. I guess if you want to be seen and not skipped you have to call the ambulance to get the care you need.

Josh Macguirre I went to have a hernia looked at. I informed the desk I was using the VA as my insurance. I waited for around six hours and my blood pressure was taken. I was finally talked to by a man in scrubs who told me they would not treat the hernia. I left. Now, two years later, I have a collection on my credit for over $400. No exchange of goods or services took place, so what am I being billed for? I have asked them multiple times with no answer. Why am I being billed and not the VA?
