Alison Smiley Ramble on is absolutely beautiful and I can’t recommend them highly enough, they are exactly what Bastrop needed! Buffy was immediately warm and welcoming. She gave an amazing shampoo and included some aromatherapy essential oils. She did a perfect blunt bob and was so professional and easy to talk to. Jen is a beautiful person as well, you are in great hands with either of these wonderful women. I am so glad to have such a high quality salon in bastrop and would definitely recommend their services!

Molly Gore-Merck Jen Patton is such a talented stylist and a joy to interact with! She’s given me two of the best cuts I’ve ever had. Most recently she helped me make a big change by removing several inches. She removed a lot of weight and gave me a shape that brings out my natural wavy texture, is easier daily maintenance, and will grow out well too! I prefer to stretch my time between appointments as much as possible and her cuts make it easy to do so. I highly recommend!

Jessica Lane This salon is so great! Buffy is the best at what she does, though beyond that, their salon is so warm and inviting and just makes you feel like you’re sitting in someone’s little living room, bathing in natural light, without all the harsh smells or sights that typically accompany a salon visit. Check Ramble On out next time you want to get a little somethin somethin done to your do! I drive in from Austin just to see Buffy, so that may say something about how highly I regard Buffy and her art + space!

Amy Hanberry Jaime is the best! She’s been doing my hair for 7 years now and when she opened Spill the Tea, I followed. The extra drive from Austin is always worth it. My color and extensions are always top tier. Amazing salon, amazing team of stylist, and amazing owner!

Seda Shirejian I had a great first time experience getting my haircut for my birthday at this salon! I was very excited to come back and sit in their chair. I hope they figure out a better booking system soon - apparently if you book online and select available times, that isn’t accurate to their salon schedule for that day. That is frustrating considering the online booking should be accurate otherwise why use it? I would’ve been happy to find a different time but the owner doesn’t have the most accommodating attitude and came off very condescending. Otherwise, kind stylists and cute interior decor.

In searching for someone new in Bastrop, amongst many other salons, I came across Hairworks. My decision to choose Hairworks was based on the owner attributing her success, on her website, to God. I had the pleasure of Virginia cutting my hair this last Saturday. Being VERY particular about my haircut, I was skeptical of someone new! I was wrong! Virginia is PHENOMENAL! 10 out of 10 stars on the haircut by Virginia! The salon is very cute, very welcoming, and Virginia charges a respectable $25 versus others in town charging $55. Thank you, Virginia! See you in 2 weeks!

Jennifer King I am so glad I was referred here, I had gotten my haircut elsewhere this weekend and they botched a "lob bob" aka graduating bob. I can not remember the girls name but I will definitely go back to them!! She took her time and consulted with her coworker to help giving me a new hairdo!! Now I can go out in public happy !! Shane Blue Juan is absolutely the best barber that Ive ever been to. Juans barbering skills are unmatched, and his hand with a straight razor is expert. A true professional. Juan really caters to his clients with amazing service, and he goes above and beyond to deliver a wonderful experience. The Classic Cuts & Shave team are all very friendly and fun to be around. Its always a pleasure and a treat to go there. I recommend Juan and his team above any barber shop anywhere.

Zachary Conway The is the best classic barbershop experience I’ve ever had. Juan does a great cut, is personable and professional, but what sets him apart is his attention to detail and the amazing beard trim and straight razor shave. He is meticulous around the ears and eyebrows (something I think is missing with most barbers these days). The straight razor shave looks incredible but with the warm towels and shaving cream is also relaxing and refreshing. Best barber I’ve ever been to.

Tim Hunt I travel alot for my business and needed a good hair cut and beard trim. I stumbled onto "Bastrops classic cuts & shaves" on Google. They were not the first few "payed" suggestions but I liked the pics and needed my beard to not look homeless lol. The "shaves" part sold me on trying them. Super glad I did! Really nice atmosphere and Juan was super cool and did a fantastic job on both the hair and beard. Customer service was top notch full treatment without rushing. I highly recommend Juan to be your barber if you dont have one or if you have one switch!! Keep in mind i wore my hat before pic

Laura Renshaw I am so glad I found this salon. I just moved to the area, and hadnt had my hair cut in about a year. I had a baby two years ago and let my hair go to the bottom of my priorities. My hair was a hot mess walking in, and I knew what I wanted (cut & gloss), but didnt do the best job of explaining it. Luckily, I had Melissa! She knew what look I was trying to achieve and she made it happen for me. She was so kind and made my first hair cut in a long time very enjoyable. I kept telling her she made me feel like my own person again, and she really did! I cant say enough good things about her and this place! The salon is also SO gorgeous and the other stylists were friendly and welcoming as well!

Melissa Mack I made a appointment at 2:30 on Wednesday for the first time at this location. They had the best feed back with reviews and now I know why. Leslie did my hair and she did a GREAT job. Listened to exactly how I wanted my hair. I even had a mishap (not dealing with my hair) to where she had to stay a whole hour after her shift. She was very sweet and understanding about it. Definitely would recommend her. The place had a good atmosphere and the whole staff was friendly.

Brent Bushman I am female and hired Megan Tucker in this shop to do a foiled touch up of my roots. My hair is colored a bright blonde. Or was... In the rinse she put some type of rinse on that turned my hair brown. She said it would wash out. I went home and washed my hair 5 times and it did not come out. I called her a day later for a partial refund of the 155.00 I paid and she refused any responsibility and refused any compensation for totally messing my hair up. I now have to pay someone else to fix it.

It is decorated in an ode to Marilyn Monroe and is known for having a Marilyn statue out front at the sidewalk where people often stop to take pictures with Marilyn. (She heads inside during winter and Santa takes her place for holiday picture opportunities. There’s always something to look at while having your hair done!

J Crio11o HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I walked in today to get a haircut. I told the lady I wanted a mid-fade, sub zero on the bottom 3 on top. She said that is something she can do. I went ahead with the service and the outcome was just horrible! She could not blend in the fade because she didn’t have the proper clippers to begin with. Very disappointed on how she left my hair and expected me to feel satisfied. She went ahead and charged me full price at $20. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to get a decent fade.

Victoria Meaker First time taking my son and my husband. Haircuts werent bad at all. But for almost 100$ I was expecting way more. I understand my toddlers hair not being perfect because he didnt stay still. But I wasnt happy with my husbands either. Again, definitely not bad haircuts...But for almost 100$ after tip.
