Dave Parry Comfortable funky little location with good parking. Ray has cut my hair for eight years and has never let me down once. Great haircuts for reasonable prices.

Christina Culbertson My favorite hair place to go to when I’m in town. Maria listens to what you want and masters it every single time! If you’re still looking for a hair salon in town, this is the place! And their prices are very reasonable. $25 for a haircut is a steal! And I love that walk ins are welcome since I hate making appts, always been a last minute person.

Garcia Mary Alice (M.A.) I absolutely love Mrs. Griselda! She did an amazing job! Shes so professional and very friendly. Mind you Shes self-taught. Of course, shes certified but she has amazing raw talent. I feel so runway ready!

Leydjenne Carter Griselda is super skilled at her craft, kind, and speedy! She’s given me the best haircuts I’ve ever had (for my wavy/curly hair). Not only that, but she also prices her services fairly! If youre looking for an excellent hairdresser, visit Razzor’s Edge, you will not regret it!

Summer Goetz This was my first time getting a haircut at a salon and it was a wonderful experience! Griselda is very very sweet and is knowledgeable about hair. She has been in the business for about 20 years and her expertise shows! I felt very welcomed in her salon and enjoyed my experience. Left feeling super great. Her salon is cash only but she accepts Zelle and there is an ATM next door.

Caitlyn Conboy Best haircut Ive ever had. I feel like I can never move again; because Griselda is the only person I ever want to cut my hair. I was growing out a pixie and she cut my hair perfectly to facilitate the process. I almost want to keep it as short as it is because it looks so good. But Im sure when I go in again in a few weeks it will look just as good slightly longer. Shes fantastic and deserves to get tons of customers.

Foster Dutch One of the best pedicures I’ve ever gotten. Very relaxing definitely do the 48 dollar one. It came with a vitamin c thing which was a real lemon which i thought was neat. Just be careful if you shave your legs beforehand. Very welcoming staff. Highly recommend!

Vidade Ava Salon central does every one of my acrylic sets! This is the go2 spot for long, blingy, acrylics for the baddies. It is on the pricier side but they can create custom colors and do basically everything you could ever want. Totally worth it to me. Gems don’t fall off fast, minimal lifting, sets last long, and they have 15% off discount for students.

Crystal Myers Veronica is a very nice person, but I would NOT recommend her for a balayage. The hair treatment she gave me not only looked nothing like the picture I gave her, but it was also very poorly executed. The application style was extremely chunky, uneven, and even worse had "leopard spots" in several areas. The top looked like tiger stripes. When I went to another salon to have it fixed, they said there were areas that were left on too long and others not enough. As you look at the deeper layers of my hair, you can see the bleach was applied in random diagonal lines. Definitely not the quality you expect from any stylist let alone an experienced one. The other salon was able to fix the high stripes but because of the random application of the bleach they had to return it all pretty much to brown and start over. I have to wait 6-8 weeks for my hair to heal before the other salon can give me a new blond balayage. I am getting engaged in a few weeks, which is why I wanted my hair done in the first place, and now I will not have my hair done for day of my engagement. Although she gave me a PARTIAL refund, it did not cover the repair costs and definitely is not going to cover the second good salon visit for a proper balayage. Even if she did give it all back, the additional repairs are going to cost me over $150 more than what I would have paid if it was done right the first time. Again super nice women, but I would NOT recommend her for any hair treatment.

Piper Cornett Had a friend come home sobbing just now after getting dropped off in the Solutions Salon parking lot. What was supposed to be a quick and easy drop off turn into an uncomfortable and awful experience. The owner or employee that worked in Solutions Salon marched out and yelled at my friend even after she said she was gathering her things so she could leave. The woman said that they needed to leave immediately and continued until she was off property. My friend is a kind and caring individual, unlike the woman that worked at Solutions, who wouldn’t cause issues or say mean things just because of a parking spot that was in an almost empty parking lot. I get that parking in San Marcos is scarce, but being mean to college students about one is just sad. We did not receive services from this salon but just wanted to let people know how their employees treat people.

Makayla Today was my first time with Maya and she was absolutely fabulous. I dont trust easily, especially with my hair, but I trusted her ability in what she was doing and that she knew her stuff. She was so friendly and funny. Definitely recommend.

Cathey Holaway I went to Maya. Had a wonderful experience. Got my hair cut a little shorter. I love it. Went back a second time. She did it in curls. Am going back today for. A Bob. She is great. She is From Ukran and is a real sweetheart. Found a great place in San Marcos.!!!!!!

donald tinsley I signed in and was told it could be 10 to 30 minutes. There were two stylists and a girl at the counter. I went to the pawn shop next door and came back 15 minutes later. There were 2 more people there but the female stylist had cleaned her spot and was leaving. After about 15 minutes another girl came in and called me. She didnt listen to what I told her and eventually just gave up and told her it was fine. The cut isnt horrible, but not what I wanted or asked for or explained. There should be an adult in there cutting hair. I cant speak for the guy, but I also never heard him speak. I miss the women at Kyle.

Robert Reid If you are going to take call-in priority over potential customers currently waiting IN YOUR LOCATION, please tell potential customers CURRENTLY WAITING AT YOUR LOCATION that they will have to wait on whomever has called in whenever they show up. Set those expectations! Grandma wrote me an EXTRA Xmas check I was hoping to spend. Now if only I could find a business that will provide me with a good or service when I show up and am ready to pay.

Dayton Martinez I have been coming to this location for many, many years. Every time I go in, Im always looking roughed up. And every time I leave, I always have that big smile on my face, knowing I saved money and also got a bombass haircut. I will continue to bring my business here and here only. Jack D Very nice people that run this place. I go every other week for my haircut. Very cheap priced but not cheap quality. The gentlemen in the first booth is wonderful and knowledgeable on new and old trends/styles. Fast and never busy although I wish they were busy because they deserve more customers!!

Deidre Garcia Do not recommend at all! The lady there gave me the worst straight across bangs (and thats including the time I went scissor crazy and cut my own bangs). And had no idea what an undercut was and shaved me to the skin underneath (which is fine since my hair covers i guess). She even dyed my mothers hair a horrible red, its like she had no knowledge of mixing colors and just threw the red boxed color in with developer. Really disappointed we spent $80 on such terrible service.

jesse merlan I totally recommend this shop, me and my oldest son(8yrs old)have been getting our cuts by Adrian for the past 4 years and recently started taking my youngest son ( 4yrs old ), really excellent with kids. This place may be a small shop, but it packs a punch when it comes to haircuts and customer service. If yall decide to check this place out make sure to make an appointment.

Malisa Sabin This establishment has the best burgers in San Marcos hands down!!! My little brother likes to eat here twice a week and devours their Mexican Vanilla shake. The lobby is clean and the staff is very welcoming and polite. The cashier Trinity and window person Jordan is very friendly . The manager was also very sweet . I would definitely recommend this place to every single person!

Vidade Ava This store is the best beauty supply in town! It only loses one point because their products are not always consistent. They have all the staple supplies but certain brands may come and go from the store. It can be chaotic in the store at times but it’s worth it because of all the stock they have and the family that runs it. This is my go too store for buying braiding hair, wig products, turbans, rubber bands, brushes, heating products, weave, clip in ponytails. They have everything you need to get your hair looking right.

TaJohn Mitchell Owner was very rude. I saw a particular hair color that I needed but wanted to know if they had it in real hair not synthetic. I asked him for help and he would not help me at all. He stayed behind the counter and told me they didnt have anything in the color that I was looking for, even though their is a whole case hanging on the wall. I will not be coming back here again.

Paul Trevino Lola is amazing. She has attention to detail and does not rush to completion. But makes sure that you are pleased with the outcome. A very thorough and professional touch that Always leaves me so happy with my haircut

Brittany Harborth Marianna cut my 2.5 year olds hair for the first time and she did such a good job navigating the fact that he could not sit still lol. She was so patient and giggled at his antics and saved me a piece of hair upon request for his baby book. 10/10, great experience.

Roy Hammonds I have long hair with an undercut in the back. My stylist doesnt use clippers so I came here to just get my undercut cleaned up. The guy that did it confirmed with me a few times before starting that he could see the line where my undercut meets the rest of my hair and confirmed I wanted my undercut brought down to a zero. Five minutes later, hes got me done and out of the chair. He charged me for a full hair cut, but I didnt negotiate pricing ahead of time so I didnt feel right arguing about it. But then I go to get a coffee and I keep feeling random strands falling on my neck and arms. I go to the bathroom and wind up pulling several clumps of hair from the longer bulk. Clearly he overshot the line. Ill have to assess the damage when I get home and hopefully my stylist can help me out, but seriously? $25 for someone to just mess me up?? Learn from my mistakes, do not trust these people with your hair if you care about it at all.

Connie Walker I went to get my hair washed and blow dried and the stylist Malayla provided outstanding service to me. My hair felt so smooth and clean. I ended up buying the same shampoo and conditioner she used on me and I get compliments of how good its smells daily. I would recommend Malayla to style your hair next! The price was amazing for what I received. Friendly customer service and a beautiful outcome.

Giovanna Rivera I called an made an appointment told them we wanted full highlight with money pieces, and a haircut. We were first told to arrive at noon, then was called again to arrive at 1:30pm. We got there at 1:10m, sat down and immediately the stylist seem like she didnt want to do my daughters hair. She said picking at her hair. And didnt seem too thrilled. She then took my daughter to the back to wet her hair to start the cut. She stopped said we need to discuss prices. She takes us to the cash register and is discussing with two other ladies and says Im not gonna have time. My other client doesnt like to wait. Instead of them offering to have someone else do it or work with us. It was Im not gonna have time. So I drove from Buda and wasted gas for someone to say I dont have time. Got my daughter super excited for her first time at salon only to be super disappointed. This was not the experience I wanted my daughter to have. Resolution, I was able to get in at a salon with no issues. Do better Jcpenney Salon in San Marcos!

Billy Oxley You advertise "walk-ins" welcome. Not quite true. I walked in to your location at 118 Barnes Dr. and didnt have my cell phone with me and the women told me she needed my phone number to put me on the list and would not take my name so I could sit in one of your empty 8 or 10 chairs and wait to have my name called and get my hair cut. What you dont advertise is that you have to check in on line first or give your phone number when you walk in the front door. I dont care to be on your" list " nor have my information in your system or share any information about me. WALK-INS ARE NOT WELCOME. Your system sucks. Billy O.

Savannah R First time coming to this location or a Great Clips in a very long time. Usually places like this have a bad rep but I am glad I came in today! jennifer S Every Ulta I’ve been to there has always been a snobby judgmental person working there. These people need to remember that this isn’t high school anymore. Ulta needs to do better when hiring people. We are all going to these stores for the same thing which is beauty products. Obviously they’re working there because they love makeup as much as the person who walks in. So why do they have to act so immature?? It’s so uncomfortable and this is the reason why I shop online.

Luz Ayala Horrible customer service! They gaslight their customers into thinking they are crazy and all that to not honor a price. That behavior is unacceptable and they should be terminated. Customers want to come here and have a blissful experience not to be judged by their employees.

Camila Rivera gaslighting your customers is not a good look for the store. An employee humiliated this customer after agreeing to price adjust after a mistake they committed, but then proceeded to put a sticker on the existing price behind her and gaslight her out loud in front of other guests. Horrible service. Hope the mean girl attitude was worth the low reviews

If you hate your job so much then why bother working if you’re not going to treat others with respect. All I did was be nice, but i get sass for asking for help. Do better!

Right before Thanksgiving so I guess it’s a hat photo this year. Do NOT go here. If they do this to a kids easy haircut imagine the trash job they’d do on an adult. -100 stars.

John Massey First timer at this location. Went in for a cut after work and Ariel gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. Even though it was my first visit, she took her time and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I left feeling confident and looking professional. Will definitely be back again.

Aaron Rayner I dont always have a guy rub his pecker against me, but when I do Im at SportClips.... Usually, I dont have a bad experience with SportClips... but this last time was awful. For whatever reason, a male stylist was there and I took the first available. I have no problem with it, but the cut was just bad: everything seemed rushed, awkward and when working with my the right side of my hair, he kept pressing his hips against my right shoulder — at first I didnt think anything of it, but then after the 3rd, 4th time I was like "seriously???" When the cut was done, there was no offer for a wash, style, any of the up-sales that I ALWAYS do. So I brought it up - that was my mistake: the hot towel was lazily applied and then hastily applied to my face. The wash was pretty bad as well - but when that was finished, the excess water wasnt pressed out of my hair (which is usually what they do), so when I sat up drainage from my hair ran down my neck and back. Great. This was just bad this time... and its hard to determine which part of it was the worst. The next day, I noticed that my cut was worse than I thought: the sides were not faded up to the top of my head, so now I have this odd weightline/wedge that makes up the side of my hair. Not what I asked for - but if were being real: I got more than I wanted and less than what I asked.

Anastacio Gutierrez Stylist Concha gave me by far the worst haircut I’ve received at this location. You probably aren’t expecting quality from this location, but the standards are even lower than you think. I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted. Which was literally just a picture of me coming out of that location a couple months back. And she rushed through the whole process. She yanked chunks out of my hair as she combed through it because of how fast she was going. She made my hair WAY shorter than what I showed her. Super upset and will never come back.
