Gracie Eiland I asked for a refill on a set of blue nails but did let the nail tech know that I was okay with getting a new set if needed. I asked the nail tech multiple times to make my nails thinner and she told me I needed to be “patient”. I’ve attached what I asked for vs what I got. The price was great, I just wish it was worth it! EDIT: i went back and asked for them to be removed. The owner was very kind about it!

leann Loved the pedicure! From the owner of the shop. I don’t know what my nail process is called they were dipped to make them 2 different colors pink and white… I call them 2 powder and when I come back after 2-3 weeks, they are filled with pink and clear polished again. I usually keep them short. The next time I will have them a little longer with more white on the ends. I’m sure I will find the ultimate look that I’m looking for. Thank you Moon

Suzanne Thomas Chose polish color, asked for acrylics, lady did my nails, but never polished. She only used the powder in the color I chose. Problem is, it was transparent, and looked terrible. When asked, she told me it’s supposed to be transparent. Told me it would cost $15 extra to actually use the polish which I picked out in the first place. Pedicure used polish and the color is perfect. Had to pay extra for removing rough skin, and my feet are still rough. No tip for these folks. $80 later and I was most dissatisfied. It was not crowded and I will never Go there again

Cali Garcia The worst!! I didn’t even want to give the 1 Star! I went in for a fill. The lady starts and she gets to my middle finger which I told them was lifting before I sat down. She was taking off the top coat with her nail drill then she says we need to take this nail off and put a new tip. Okay no problem. She starts clipping the nail in chucks and cuts my real nail to the skin to where I am bleeding. I say ouch! She looks up but continues and gets her drill out and I pull away asking if now that I’m bleeding should we continue because I don’t want to get an infection. She doesn’t understand and another lady steps in and looks at my nail and shrugs her shoulders and says something in their language and then says “it should be fine” I ask again in her professional opinion does she really think that’s ok? She then says well if I don’t feel comfortable for me to put a bandage on it and just do the other nails. Annoyed that I’m questioning her. I left there with my nails not done and a bloody finger. First & last time!!

Noemie Gonzalez I asked for gel on my toes . It’s barely been 3 days and my polish is chipped and she did a terrible job polishing regardless it looks all lumpy. I paid $70+ for a terrible polish. The pedicure was great no complains but the polish is horrible and she didn’t even file my nails I had to do it myself after.

It’s always clean and professional. I live over 30 miles away but I prefer to come to Design Nails of Baytown.

Makayla Rash I’ve been here a few times and never had any problems but this last time I went (Friday, June 23rd) I got a full set of acrylics my nail tech was very nice. Although she did seem to be having trouble getting the fake nails to glue down and had to get a different type. And still was having trouble. My nails came out cute even though they weren’t exactly what I wanted nonetheless almost identical. Which wasn’t the problem. The problem is that after only 3 days they’ve started to lift. This has never happened before and i believe it has something to do with her prep and applying. I paid somewhat around $65 i didn’t expect them to only last around 3 days before lifting. Update: Davis was very kind and completely redid my nails, free of charge. He did a wonderful job. I appreciate him taking the time to fix them.

Kenzie Thomas Lisa and Derrick really know how to hook a girl up!! We went in there and got pedicures, dip nails and shellac nails (pictured below), and eyebrow waxing all in under an hour. Lisa did the leg work (trim, shape, file, paint/dip) while Derrick came in and did the design on the nails. They make a great team working together and I highly recommend them on their quality of work as well as their customer service.

They asked and make sure that they know what we exactly need. The guy doing my nails are really helpful, spend time to listen and explained for me so many things that other nail shops never told me, i think his name is Steven. Got my pedicure done at the same time. I have seen a video on their instagram about coffee pedicure so i tried it. Let me tell you, its the best pedi i have ever got. Clara do my toes so gentle and percise. Got shellac with only $15 extra really suprised me cause other places that I tried cost around $20. Cant believe it. She did it so good. Never feel that peace and sastified at nails salon that usually busy and loud. This shop is really quiet and calm. Their price are competitive and reasonable. Have prices and services on reciept really clearlt so no hidden fee. They have been open more than 10 years and I dont even know it, stop wasting your money out theres this is the place for you. I will be back !.

Stephanie Barragan I’ve been coming here since 2016 and yesterday was the last time I will ever go to this horrible place that left my eyebrows bruised and battered. I went in for a simple eyebrow wax which I always do and have been doing for years now but this time I had a person I’ve never had before, I didn’t think it’d turn out to be such a huge issue, if you don’t know how to do it, leave it to the professionals and don’t be money hungry. I was in a lot of pain during my waxing but I thought it was maybe a new wax or different technique, my eyes were extremely watery so when my brows were shown to me I couldn’t tell how they actually looked. I typically get redness from the wax but it goes away after half an hour or so, then I started to realize it didn’t and I was so uncomfortable, my brows were stinging and there’s literal small pieces of skin PLUCKED OUT and they didn’t even get the actual hairs needed, my eyebrows look bad, I have major sensitivity on them now and I’m gonna have scarring now because they did an unprofessional job. I have friends that come here and I’m going to tell them to go elsewhere because nobody should leave a “salon” looking like this. DONT COME HERE

Lizbeth Do not recommend this place at all! My mom got a pedicure here yesterday and the lady cut her toe really bad. We have been treating it but it is now swollen and very painful. The lady didn’t speak English and didn’t understand my mom didn’t want to continue with the service. She was charged full price, no refund or apology. Will not be coming here again.

Andrade Yesenia (Torres) I had a manicure and a pedicure done. Pedicure was acceptable, unfortunately I cannot say the same for the manicure. Apparently they are not good on working on natural short nails. Even after they "fixed" it a couple of times, at the end it still came out bad.

Carolyn Fish So my 1st time in this salon, and definitely my last time in it. I went in and the lady that greeted me was very friendly and said they could do what I wanted which is the 1st picture. She walked me back and had me sit down to start working on my feet, clearly before work ever began her and another lady who was working on someone else started arguing about what I wanted, I should have left then, but I didnt. The lady working on my feet refused to cut my toenails down, my right big toenail grows faster than my other toenails for whatever reason and weird, I told the lady that I wanted it cut down and why, again argued and refused to do what I asked. So another lady is working on my fingernails never asked what shape or length I wanted, she put tips on my nails cut then with scissors any old way never filed or shaped them, she then polished them, cured them under the little light they use, Im thinking shes gonna file and shape them now Nope she gets up and walks off, and never returned, the lady working on my feet didnt no how to do french tip design she had the lady who greeted me do that. You no the old saying if it at broke dont try to fix, stick with what you no, in the last 2 days that has been so very true for me. Next time I will stick with the salon I normally go to. Ive never ever walked out with out tipping before even with bad service and not liking my nails, this time I did first time ever. For a number of reasons Bad customer service, extremely bad work, just rude and over paid and I went to get my nails done for a wedding tomorrow. Lesson learned never ever again will I go to this place!!!!!!!!! Yes I should have said something and I didnt because I can only imagine how that would have went.
