Natassia Smith This upscale salon is conveniently located in an adorable historic home. Everyone is so nice and the stylists are all fantastic. Michelle is the best stylist I’ve ever had and she will listen to you before she cuts and colors. They offer refreshments too. I highly recommend going here. It’s the best!

Thaleia Z This is a long-overdue review. I went to this salon for many years, and even flew from abroad to have my hair done there. It is a very nice, clean and cozy place. I was a very loyal client for many years. Unfortunately, the service of my hairdresser deteriorated little by little, and at some point I stopped going. This was one of the reasons. The other reason was that in the same salon room, there was another hair stylist who would talk constantly and this was not at all relaxing, to say the least. But, overall, this is a very nice place.

Ali Gambell Ronnie has been cutting my hair for years and I am always happy with it. The folks that work their are always friendly. They have been taking the extra steps to keep the shop sanitized and safe. I highly recommend going to see Ronnie or another stylist there to update your locks!!

Jana Ferguson Alane does such a great job, my son in law flew to Austin from Boise, Idaho to get his haircut by her. The Salon was a great overall experience and really clean, we loved the atmosphere of the establishment. We tagged along but my son in law said he would fly back again. Thanks Alane, his hair looks great!

Addisyn Tester When I came to this salon, I did not expect the exceptional service I received. Lydia was kind, compassionate, and it was obvious she enjoys doing this! I got a haircut and the entire experience was absolutely lovely from the shampooing to the cut to the blowout. She was even kind enough to do a quick curl on my hair! For reference, I got a long-layered haircut with curtain bangs and face framing. I paid $85 plus a tip. The price is absolutely worth the service in this case. Everyone else was so kind as well and kept offering to get me drinks and made sure I was satisfied the entire time. I can’t wait to be a returning customer!!!

Lee Lena (Coffeelov3r) Had the master hairstylist Tammy work on my hair! She took time to make sure my haircut was even, discussed her next steps and made sure I was okay with certain recommendations and was very gentle! :) overall positive experience!

Ghadeer A Jamie is absolutely amazing! This is the first time I’ve had a haircut that I genuinely love. She is so kind and takes her time to understand exactly what you want. She never makes you feel rushed and explains everything she’s doing step by step. Her attention to detail and care really make the experience special.

Jeana Rose Mathis If you love to be pampered and leave with a beautiful cut and blow dry, Ruiz is your place! I went to Ruiz for 2 years before moving states and loved the entire staff and experience. Jamie is amazing and such a fun stylist. I loved chatting with her at every appointment and asking her expertise about what looked best with my face shape. I never had a cut I didn’t love from Jamie, and I always asked about her blow dry techniques because she does such a fantastic job. The salon itself is very nice and has a dark, relaxing room for hair washes. They will treat you with some aromatherapy and hair masks during the hair wash and a complimentary hand massage during the end of your appointment. You can also help yourself to tea, coffee, and wine while you’re there. Loved every visit I had a Ruiz!!

Alyssa Digno Adam did a great job! My first time coming here and I was in and out in about an hour and 15 min. The experience was very luxurious and I love the aveda products they use. Adam was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about hair and aveda products. I scheduled my next appointment with him. They offer complimentary tea, water, and wine and also scalp & hand massage.

Loretta Adams Joshua G gave me a long layers cut & style and Im in love! I havent felt hair-euphoria in many years until now. Had amazing care from Josh and his mentors (even the owner). The stylists here are doing the lords work. Thanks to all.

She took her time, made sure I didn’t feel rushed, and the result turned out even better than I imagined! My hair feels fresh and looks fantastic – couldn’t be happier!

minahil rizvi Molly at Culture ATX seriously understood the assignment. I’m super picky about my haircuts, but she listened to every concern without making me feel like I was asking for too much. She broke everything down, offered options to get the look I wanted, and made sure my hair stayed healthy by cutting just the right amount. The attention to detail? 10/10. The vibe? Immaculate. If you’re looking for a stylist who actually gets it, Molly is the one. Definitely coming back!

I was able to schedule a consultation with Jeannette the same day and book with her for the following day. She really took time to understand what I wanted as I was still unsure myself. Brittany Teague I NEVER write google reviews… or yelp or whatever. But I just went to see Ken today for a single process color and cut. My hair is dark brown but I wanted a little bit darker and showed him a photo of what I’ve had in the past. He nailed the color with a single look and cut my hair so fast and strategically, all the while being completely enjoyable and relatable to talk to. While my hair was processing, he had two other patrons come in at different times for their haircuts (2 men’s hair cuts) and let me know he didn’t forget about me on the other side whilst taking care of them. I have (we’ll I guess had) very, very long hair that had not been cut in over a year. Ken got rid of my dead, limp hair while maintaining my desire for long hair. When seeing someone else a while back, they charged me $475 (without tip) for a cut and single process color of the same if not worse quality than what Ken provided. Ken charged me much less than $475 Fantastic value and service. I’m glad I read the google reviews. I will, without a doubt, be back again. Thanks Ken!

Erika Garcia I had the best experience at KaRu Salon! Needed a makeover for my long hair that reached the middle of my back. I was very nervous because I have always had long hair but had a desire for a more updated look. Kari really listened to what I wanted and how long I wanted to spend styling my hair every morning. My color and cut is even better then I imagined. Kari took the time to educate me on how to use styling products to fit my hair care needs and showed me how to style my hair for a casual look and then a dressy look. LOVE my hair and the experience I had. I will be coming back to this salon!!

Jennifer Jones Kari is amazing! She is a full-on artist not only with peoples hair but outside of the hair world as well. You can tell that she lives her life with color.....and she understands exactly what you want and she will make it happen. She has done autumn colors for me which were beautiful to purples and lavenders...she is a specialist in colors. Love, love her!

April Steinmetz I came in to see Kari for a color correction. Karis technique is excellent, and she did a great job on my hair. I wasnt 100% sure what I wanted and was nervous, but Kari took that and listened to me thoroughly and recommended what would be best for my look. America Revere, MD I had my hair done here back in June by Kari. She was very sweet and easy to talk to. To this day, I still get amazing compliments on her work and the color still looks amazing. My hair is still soft and in amazing shape. If I could say anything, I wish she could have made me more blonde but told me it was best to start slowly. It is also a bit expensive but you are dealing with the best. So I say its worth it. I miss this place and still cant wait to go back and become even blonde-ER!!;D

Tim and Laura Fiore I’ve had such a great experience with Alex. She is meticulous when it comes to coloring and cut. She will work with your specific hair needs and while honoring what you would like done. During my consultation, we did strand test to see what my hair could take, and thankfully so because we had to pivot to a new plan. I always leave extremely happy with my results and know I’m in good hands with Alex.

Jason Reever Selena colored my daughters hair for her 16th birthday. We could not have been happier with how it turned out!! My daughter is so happy with the results and the overall experience! We will definitely be returning!!!

Annick P. Maddox I have found my new go to hair salon with Alex as my stylist! I’ve been searching for 5 long years since my previous stylist of 10 years moved out of state. It’s been about a month since I got my hair done and I can confidently say I loved my hair right out of the salon and still love it now that I’ve washed and styled it myself several times. Alex listened to ALL my desires and expectations, provided different options we could move forward with and all the details that came with it. She didn’t make me feel silly for explaining that my hair is part of who I am and how it’s tied to how I feel. In fact, she validated those feelings. She also cut my hair exactly the way I wanted, which when dealing with color can sometimes be overlooked, but Alex is a true expert with the scissors. She is also kind, funny, and genuinely a joy to be around - that’s important when you’re sitting in someone’s chair for a while. Can’t wait to go back!

It felt like a confirmation of everything Ive been personally working through, and it validated so much of what Ive been experiencing. She shared wonderful recommendations and suggestions that Ive incorporated into my journey. Overall, it was an incredibly uplifting and insightful experience. The only suggestion Id like to make is to enhance the sense of privacy, either by conducting sessions in a private room or use dividers for a more private atmosphere. That aside, I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking clarity, healing, or a deeper connection to themselves.

My daughter (6.5) was so excited to go up on stage to have her hair cut and is absolutely thrilled with her cut. Very LGBTQ+ Friendly, I felt safe and welcome. Megan Pierce My stylist Gabriella was fantastic! She did a great job on my hair and provided a lot of helpful hair care tips catered to my hair type that I will definitely be using in the future. The shop itself is super cute, the staff were all very kind, and I have to mention that the hair washing stations are incredibly ergonomic. It was the first time Ive had my hair washed without getting a neck ache. Highly recommend!

krn flores linn has been my absolute go to for my hair! Ive been doing my own hair for a few years now and having them color and cut has been an amazing decision for me! Been super happy with how my hair looks especially since the back of my head matches the rest now!!! 10/10 love them!!!!!

Juliana Beladera I love Salon Wyld! Their new location is great too. The salon is beautiful and modern, but has a cozy and welcoming feel to it. You’ll become BFF’s with the entire team, especially the owner Carly! My stylist is Meghan and she’s awesome! She always does a wonderful job touching up my layers, blowing it out or straightening it. She listens well and gives me exactly what I’m wanting with my hair. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, such a gem of a place!

Houston Taylor Hohfeld Absolutely love Mandy and Salon Wyld. I’ve been seeing Mandy to get my hair colored and cut and couldn’t imagine seeing anyone else! I leave feeling amazing every time and she also makes a delicious latte, can’t beat that. The salon itself is adorable and full of badass women! Dylan Pensabene I love going to see Leah for curly cuts and color! She’s been doing my hair for 7 years and has always done an amazing job, and is so fun and easy to talk to while she works! Over the years she’s done bangs, balayage, highlights and low lights, dye, and I’m sure there’s more. I highly recommend for curly cuts and color that won’t dry out your hair.

Rebeca Estrada Very knowledgeable staff and beautiful, calm environment. Its a little hidden and parking is limited so I recommend getting there a little earlier to get to your appointment on time!

Caren Kelleher Method took me in for a hair emergency after a stylist at another salon in town cut my hair completely crooked. Charlee was amazing and helped me gradually fix it so I didn’t have to chop my hair too short. She now is my go-to stylist! Method has such a cool vibe, great people and a very convenient location for anyone downtown. Highly recommend!

Niharika Kulkarni This is the second time I got my hair cut by Charlee. I came in with a bunch of random ideas and just knew I could trust her to do her magic. T Witel Ayesha Cobb is a gosh darn miracle worker. I came to her on recommendation of a friend after I absolutely FRIED my hair from a bad perm. She basically saved my hair from a pile of straw and helped it grow out as healthily as possible due to all the damage. Since then weve gone red, pink (color depositing shampoos), and then back to og blonde (highlights that were a whole transformation)! I feel like a diva every time I leave the salon. Ayesha takes her time and is so detail-oriented. Never had a better haircut/process in my life and worth every penny. The salon itself is also really cool and clean, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is good. But Ayesha is the hero of my hair saga! (The last 2 photos are my hair pre-Ayesha/perm damage and then what it looked like after seeing her twice)

Lynn Quinones I’ve been coming to Method Hair for a while it’s a very welcoming modern space. The vibe is amazing and so is the staff. Charlie is amazing when it comes to my blowouts and root touch ups she always has me feeling and leaving like Ms. New, making the experience enjoyable and comfortable. Alejandra is also amazing and so sweet, she takes her time leaving my hair feeling beautifully after a blow out.

Kellsey B Charlee is the best!! I recently moved to Austin and found this salon and am so glad I did! I don’t dye my hair and need someone who is a cut specialist and finding that can be challenging, but charlee gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. She’s also so fun/awesome to talk to! Kati Taylor Anna gave me the best haircut of my life. I had described what I wanted and she asked for a picture – picture and description were slightly different. She cut my hair exactly like the picture which was longer than my description. Then she said, “would you still want it shorter” I debated a little bit and decided I definitely still wanted more length taken off. She continued my haircut with the same thoughtfulness as the first iteration. Ultimately the cut was exactly what I envisioned. This had never before happened in my life. Anna has a calming presence, is precise and thoughtfully thorough.

jennifer mojica I have been coming to Red Stella for almost 2 years and they have helped out in my hair journey immensely. I went in with really damaged, frizzy, curly hair and Caily did an awesome haircut that transformed me into a regular. I slowly started adding services, and got a whole new look! Special shoutout to Zella & J for helping me in my red journey. From red, I transitioned back to brown/balayage with the help of Annika. I have been working with her to the point where she just knows what my hair needs. She always brings my vision to reality, YAY!!

Izzy Perez I get my hair cut by Bre every time. She never lets me down. I always leave feeling confident and hot- I went from long curly hair to a sexy medium length 80s curly shag and boy did she eat that up. She always sets me up for long term growth cause life is busy and my hair looks better and better every day. Next cut went from 80s era to 70s shag mullet and she got that gorgeous decade difference. Trust in her and she will never disappoint!!! (She cuts curls like a dream)

Sahar Chmais Mechelle was attentive and gives such great attention to detail. I came in with a half-baked vision and she really helped me figure out what cut would best suit my face and color for my complexion. She made sure she gave my hair type the right treatment and she was a lovely person to hang out with for the few hours I was there!

Zeynep I had an amazing experience at Red Stella with my stylist Zoe! I wanted to go from black box dye to a cherry red color and she was able to make it happen! They also have cancelled on me the day of, but when I had terrible food poisoning (to the point of almost going to the hospital), they had no compassion. I was told they would send me a bill. So, I said I would still go with a throw up bag and was denied. Ive worked tirelessly when sick to resolve this, yet to no avail. I always am very generous with tipping as well. One stylist is very talented, but she is only there every other weekend now. I will never go back to this salon for so many reasons. Their time is valuable, but they dont believe mine is. Watch out for this place.

Hailey Johnson Nastasia is such an amazing stylist, I cannot stress enough how much I love getting my hair done by her. She’s so cool and so talented. She cuts my hair and did my wedding style— it was such a fun updo and it held outside during a crazy storm. Literally so grateful that I found her. This entire salon is super fun and super cute, I love going there.

Jenny Thatcher This review is for Michael Rosario at Salon West. Michael actually cut my hair in Austin over 20 years ago, and I reconnected with him in 2017. When he left Austin I went from stylist to stylist, but was thrilled when I found him again. His haircuts and his skill are always on point. I walk out with a perfect haircut, color and highlights every time. Michael is very talented and I highly recommend him. He always rechecks my cut before I get out of the chair, which is a testament to how particular he is when he is cutting your hair. Also, he has very flexible hours and will work to accommodate your schedule. If you are looking for a new stylist, and you want great results give Michael a try! You will not be disappointed! The salon has a very nice atmosphere as well and is easy to get to.

Mark Miller If you need a trim or an entirely new style, go to Thomas Saverio Salon. My personal favorite there is my man Beto. Hes been cutting my hair for about 15 years & has never once disappointed.

Courtney Kizer Laurent and Virginie are the dream team of hair! I have now had a couple of experiences and can say without a doubt that I am hooked and will be a long term client of these true professionals. Laurent is the stylist and Virginie is the colorist and each is a whiz at their specialty. I also love how they consult one another to come up with the perfect solution for my unique hair. I get so many compliments after a visit with them! I really cant say enough about them and the gorgeous, understated, clean and light filled Salon West.

RG 3423 I was very comfortable in the salon. It is a bright, happy space. On the day I visited, the other stylists were excitedly setting up a new products display. They all chat happily with one another. I had a really nice experience with Elisa at the Anderson Mill Salon Vibe. I scheduled a haircut and style with deep conditioning. Elisa included a comforting scalp massage with the shampoo and conditioning. I found it very relaxing waiting for the deep conditioner to sit. Elisa asked me questions about how I wanted my hair cut. I’m not very adept at describing that so she asked several clarifying questions to get a better understanding of my expectations. She did a great job on the cut and tweaked a little when I requested. I will definitely be back in 6-8 weeks for a trim!

Kiki Brock I was referred to Tanya for extensions and color and I was thoroughly impressed. I first scheduled a consult since I had a lot of breakage and wanted extensions for my son’s wedding but had no idea what it involved. The consultation was so I helpful and we came up with a plan for getting my hair healthy and selecting extensions in anticipation of the wedding. I was amazed at the transformation in my hair. It’s been almost 3 months since I had the extensions put in. I love my hair and the styles I’m now able to do. My hair has started to grow and the adjustment appointment was so easy. I’ve had no issues with breakage and will be keeping the extensions at least for now. Tanya and her staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend.

Candace Luther My appointment was with Cara - she is so talented you can really tell her dedication to mastering her craft. I’m a natural blonde and didn’t come to my appt with any inspo other than “more blonde”. Cara walked me through a couple of options based on her recommendations and as you can tell from the pictures, she did an amazing job!! I will be back to Cara for sure! As far as the salon - it is so clean and bright and open. All of the girls are very nice and welcoming and seem to really care about each other - they were giving compliments to my stylists work and my hair the whole time! Great experience!

Gayle Garcia Tara did an amazing job and truly cares about her clients. I had my very first appointment with her, and she listened to my vision and then thoroughly goes over what she is going to do before beginning. She is very knowledgeable, sweet, kind, and made me feel comfortable in her chair. As she was highlighting my hair she was walking me through everything she was doing. When she finished, I was so impressed by what she did and how my hair came out. I couldnt be happier! She did an amazing job, and I left the salon feeling great! Rose Anne Mulligan Ryan has been cutting my hair for many years now. He’s a master at delivering what you ask for. He listens intently and collaborates with you to create the best cut. Always happy with my cut! It grow out wonderfully- a sign of definite skill. Thanks for the gorgeous locks!

Brennah K I am obsessed with my haircut! After leaving the salon I realized I wanted my hair a lot shorter, & Nora was happy to have me back & took extra time to create the haircut I wanted. I have super long thick hair & I just told her I wanted it shorter, thinned out, & layered—the result is a truly adorable slay! My hair is so cute & flouncy & much more manageable just like I wanted! Also the scalp massage at the wash bowl was the best. My recommendation is to use a picture of the haircut you want & tell the stylist exactly what you want & at what lengths, & you won’t be disappointed with the execution!

Cassie Baker Ill follow Robin wherever she goes because shes amazing. She knows what shes doing and always asks plenty of questions so you feel confident about what youre getting. Not to mention shes just one of the best humans ever. I got a cut with some new fringe and some balayage she did at another salon toned and I am SO happy with it! I felt amazing and enjoyed my time there. The only drawback is the shop could use some better lighting, I had a hard time seeing what it really looked like until I was outside. But seriously GO SEE ROBIN! She rocks.

Shannen Slater I had probably the best experience I’ve ever had in a salon when it came to getting my hair done at Path Salon. I had the pleasure of having Robin do my hair. She was super inviting and walks you through each part of the process of what she’s doing. She’s very creative yet technical about hair. I’ve also been in salons where you feel the pressure of having to be in and out of a chair by a certain time and didn’t feel like that here. But at the same time was in and out in a reasonable time. It’s a bright beautiful space. It was my first time having my hair done by her and let’s be honest the majority get nervous with a new stylist. Not her, she’s super kind and I felt like I even gained a new friend from the experience. I’d be happy to go back to her. The blend she did on my hair was insane and almost made it neon. Which I love lol. Definitely recommend and will be going back to Robin!

Lisa Park I chose Path Salon based on their location and reviews and was VERY happy with my experience! Peyton did my cut and color. She is amazing!! I loved how she listened but also made recommendations while taking her time with both my color and shaping my cut (my hair is very thick and curly). I would have expected to pay twice what I did so not only will you get great service and results but you won’t break the bank in the process! I noticed the client next to me looked great after her cut was finished...her stylist was Miranda. They are both talented. I can only really speak for Peyton but the entire staff here is top notch and very reasonably priced. I am a loyal client now!
