Eddie Diaz Adlemi was amazing! She went above and beyond and gave me really good advice regarding some products. She totally made my trip worth it to Ulta today and I hope she’s there every time I visit!

Mariah There was such a helpful worker named Lyra there! And when I tell you, this is exactly what anyone who does not know make up would appreciate when stepping into the world of makeup-I mean it ! She helped me with everything, and I was very intimidated and embarrassed at my lack of knowledge, and she noticed me being overwhelmed by all of the different makeups and she led the way and helped me out and I will be eternally grateful to this beauty. Thank you so much, Lyra. this is the type of customer service that I would expect and want to find at a beauty store making this ulta my now go to place.

M G Carter I went in for help as I am not big on make up and felt rushed. I ended up returning two items because they were too white for my olive skin complexion. I think they need a little more training in Customer Service. Cashiers were non verbal…no hello nor thank you, even when I said thank you and have a nice day…Nothing

Chloe Moreno I love coming here buttt this recent experience wasnt at all good..Did not get her name but she did not allow me too use my points! Usually they ask me once there done scanning but she did not i handed her my gift card and then i said may you use my points please? and she said nope sorry i already put the gift card info.. i asked if she still could , she then mentioned too me in a rudely manner id have too restart the system and i felt the attitude so i just paid. I will not be coming here again. Felt un-welcomed.

Julissa Almaguer My brother in law went to this place to get a haircut for his interview. However, he speaks no Spanish, so he tried his best to tell them what he wanted. When he arrived home, his edges were messed up, and they ended up cutting his side burns when he didnt want them cut. When calling to complain about this issue, they ended hanging up with no word . I will never recommend this place ever again. Extremely Unprofessional.

Had to take him to another shop further away from home. They said haircuts are $8, then barber lady with a horrible attitude decides to charge $20!

Paula Soto Took my 9 year old daughter for a haircut. We had been at the just a cut in Brownsville and were very pleased over there. Here in this Edinburg location, the wait was long. There was one person cutting hair and then another person came in. The woman who cut my daughter’s hair did not seen like she had experience and my daughter’s hair looked worse after the haircut. I paid and left because I was afraid it would get worse if I said to fix it. I do not recommend this place.

Oscar Espinosa They are the worst stylist ever. They dont know what a fade is, much less what a straight line looks like. They messed up both my sons hair and still charged me even though they knew they messed up their hair. Please do your kids a favor and take them somewhere else.

Kimberly Quintanilla If I could put zero I would! The lady murdered my sons hair and left him all scratched! He was livid and I can say I’m never going back! $30 down the drain! I kept asking her to stop and she wouldn’t listen! I hate giving bad reviews but damn shouldn’t you listen to your client if only just a bit! We asked for half and inch off she cut off 4in!

Jessica Rodriguez I had not cut my hair in probably like a good two years or more if I’m honest. Because the last time I went to another haircut place, the lady really messed up my hair and was not wanting to do my haircut as requested. Well my bf finally convinced me to come here and Norma G did amazing. She kept asking me if the length was good, had a good conversation, and really met the expectations. She even recommended products to me that I’m excited to try. Thank you for being so kind and nice. But also thank you for cutting my hair the way I wanted and had been wanting for a while and no one was willing to do. Both her and the manager Dani were so sweet and good customer service. Definitely coming back to her.

Leo Figueroa Dani gives an amazing haircut! If you want a fresh looking fade I highly suggest you ask for her. She takes her time and is very professional. But all the employees who work there are very friendly and skilled. You will definitely have a positive experience with anyone.

Crystal Tan My son and I came here for 2 different services. I just had a hair treatment, while my son, had a perm. I was nervous about my son’s perm because: 1) It is his first perm and 2) It may not turn out the way he wants it.Hair perm can be a bit tricky, and my son just wants that big curls to give his hair some body and bounce because his hair is so flat and straight (which is my dream hair). Both my stylists and his stylist are not just knowledgeable but skilled; meaning they can execute, and execute it well. If you want you hair done, you have to try JC Penny, and look for either Hana or Mariela.

Crystal Salinas I have been going with Joseph for many years and love every time he treats and colors my hair! He is so patient and knows what he is doing. He will leave my hair looking so natural and feeling so good. Joseph does a very wonderful job every time , and he is the reason I continue going to the jcpenny salon! All the workers are very polite and nice every time I go. Awesome job to all of them!

Laura Reyes I went in to see Mingo! I wanted to cover my grays and he did an amazing job. I love how my hair came out. He is friendly and it did take longer than usual since I have a lot of hair but he was very patient and did not rush me. Go see Mingo!!

AngelMine345 TLDR: My hair was cut unevenly, and I had a bad overall experience with the hairdressers I had during this time. I hadnt had this happen before, its not something I expect of this salon. I had Mariela for my appointment. I wanted a shorter hairstyle, so Mariela referred me instead to Natalie, who took over. My sister loved Mariela, she got her hair cut by her, so no hate to her. (Or anyone else, just venting my situation.) Natalie proceeded to cut my hair, which I had initially been okay with. (Now, I want you to keep in mind that I cant see without my glasses - like AT ALL - and I took them off during the session to make sure she could cut the sides correctly.) When it was all said and done, I put my glasses back on to see my hair one inch longer on one side and short on the other. I asked for an even cut with no layers, with a side part. She blamed the unevenness on my glasses, on my hair thickness, and side part, but I asked my mom, sister, and people around to assess the hair. They all insisted it was uneven, but the girl said it was not until we all told her it was. Natalie cut my hair more and more, but still it was uneven and now my hair was much shorter than I had wanted. I started to become distressed and asked her to stop cutting. A woman came by the name of Maritza/Missy, and she insisted it was all in the balance of my hair. Now, while she didnt claim that anyone made a mistake at that time, she did say she could fix my hair at no cost (which was kind, yes). She said I could come early in the morning the next day since I declined to have anyone else cut my hair that day. I came in early with my mother, but it was another 15 minutes before she let us in and she claimed she was busy. During my cut, she did claim a mistake was made, but kept making offhand comments about how she knew a lot about hair and that mistakes can happen to others. That it was all in the balance of the hair, and it doesnt matter if it seemed unbalanced, because she checked and said it was. I left still slightly uneven and in a fouler mood than when it had began. As kind as the action was to offer to fix my hair, the way it happened didnt feel good. I admit I was anxious and distressed, but I think my distress was fair for the most part. I had never had issues with this salon prior to this experience. I put my full trust into these people because I thought they would do a good job. I was wrong.

Cyndie Barnes Joseph has been my stylist as well as my daughter for over 2 years. I never have to wait for my appointment. Services for my color or highlights or any cuts to styling are exceptionally fabulous with every visit. Thank you Joseph for always being available to fit me in with my hectic schedule.

VIntage Marcelino On everything, I experienced my worst haircut ever. I got there and asked for a low fade but the guy said i can do a mid drop instead and i let him do it. “mid drop” more like a high drop. He basically cut the whole sides and back of my head all around with the same clip or blade.Cut with scissors on top which was very average at best. One side of the edge up wasn’t straight.Above my ear as well you can still see a line where he started to go with the razer. He didn’t. now what he was doing and he was in hurry because he was constantly checking his watch.Charged me 20$ by the way for a mid drop fade with the edge up. TERRIBLE. Wouldnt recommend for guys or girls to come here and get any type of fade.

Hugo Velazquez 15$ As a male, the barbers aways do a good job with my hair. Great place BUT I wont give 5 stars because 1.the prices went from 12, to 13, to 15. Its pricy. 2. Some staff, a few bad apples, are distracted on the phone and prolong the haircut. But for the most part, the staff is friendly an excellent. To get the best experience possible, make an appointment with a barber you know does a good job. Overall, great place.

Jorge Sanchez I have been going to this location for 26 years and took all 5 of my sons there too. The atmosphere is inviting and service is amazing. Highly recommend

John Jimenez Honestly, I gave this Salon a one for many reasons, but I also will give one good reason. For starters, when I entered the building it was awkward, they just looked at me as if telling me "what do you want?" (rudely) So one star off, not a friendly place. Second, a young guy is cutting my hair but makes no conversation (serious, unhappy, and no passion) and is rough with my head by pressing down on it. I am not one to complain about a little pressure on my head, but I would prefer not to have it if possible. Second star down. Next, my hairstylist asks me if I wanted just a little trim off the top of my hair, and I said yes, but started just cutting all over the place and instead section by section. Some how I feel that its wrong. He puts a product on my hair, and it looks good but when I go home and shower my hair was so uneven! The front of my hair looked like Texas, no kidding. Third star down. Lastly, last star down, the guy knew he had messed up and covered it by putting a lot of product, which In my opinion is ripping one off!(did not clean me off and I left with hair still on my face and shirt). Also, I paid $20 for hair and beard ($15=hair cut, $5=beard). I would prefer for the guy to tell me the truth and either give me 50% off, free or at least just charge the beard. Now, for the one good star, real clean edge cut on the back of my head only and shook my hand at the end which was the only actual interaction with the customer. I hope this helps both the business and customer that want to know services before they attend.

Abby Arriaga Don’t go here! I went in for a simple haircut and asked the stylist for curtain bangs and to reduce some volume, something very straightforward. Instead, she cut my hair with a straight blade, and I thought she would finish or do something else with scissors, but that was it. The cut isn’t even, and she completely botched my hair. It was the worst experience ever. To make matters worse, they charged me incorrectly, which meant I had to go through a refund process and pay again. Please see the images. Don’t waste your money or time, and if you value your hair like I do, stay away from this place. No layers, no shape. The first photo shows how my haircut should always look and how it should have turned out.

Cipriano Flores These prices keep going up! To expensive and bad customer service. Rude barbers and beauticians, save some money go else where. There are more economical places that do a way better job than here. This is why I have not come to this place in a year but it was the closest to me at the time. If you do go stay away from the ones on the far left! Don’t have faith in their work that’s for sure. As for me I’ll stick to my regular barber and leave this junk overpriced barbershop behind.

Juan Robles If there would be a zero star option, best believe that would be it. Estella needs to go back and get her license checked out or revoked. Her customer service skills is horrible. She took it offensive that I didn’t like the way it came out. Mr. Albert’s in San Juan is 1000000% better than this one. Whoever gave Estella her license should be fired.

Lizbeth Torres HORRIBLE PLACE. WORSE customer service! Lady cut my little brothers hair completely off before seeing what my mom was wanting her to do. She then proceeded to take pictures of my mom because SHE THOUGHT my mom was not going to pay her, when my mom was OBVIOUSLY getting the money to pay her. BEST BELIEVE THIS IS THE FIRST & LAST TIME AT THIS PLACE!!

Alexa Terrible haircut and choppy layers i asked her to trim my bangs below my eyebrows and she decides to trim exactly there on WET hair even i know that you’re always supposed to trim a bit below cause once it dries the hair gets shorter i have no idea how they have a license

Brendalee Flores Margarita was EXTREMELY rude and completely RUINED my hair. She said the haircut did not look good on me, like it did on the picture I showed her, because the woman in the picture was a model and I wasn’t. She refused to give me a full refund , she didn’t even want to give me HALF. The owner had to tell her to refund me AT LEAST half. Unacceptable. NEVER coming here again.

Luz Gon They will do unnecessary things to your hair without asking and charge you extra. Also are so unbelievably rough with your hair and snooty about their practice. Hair turned out decent but not worth their attitude and extra price.

Very proud and satisfied with my new haircut and style for I can play with it with different styles everyday. She has the hands to do magical work and I truly recommend seeing her for any haircut or styling. Love My Hair! :) And she is very sweet and patient too!!!

Jon Zapata My wife went here and got her haircut with a Margarita, first of all the lady is super rude and can’t take criticism. My wife show her a picture and it wasn’t done the way she like so she called to tell them she didn’t like the hair and if she can get her money back. Well Margarita told my wife that she shouldn’t be calling complaining about the haircut because she did it “right” my wife than told her it doesn’t look like the picture, so Margarita had the nerve to tell my wife “ well it looks good on her because she’s a model and you are you” if this is how your employees talk to their customers you’ll soon be outta business. Never going here again!!!

I asked for curtain bangs and this lady that cut my hair literally gave me above the eyebrow bangs and I have curly hair… I showed her a picture of a girl with curly hair that had long curtain bangs and she still proceeded to cut my hair over my eyebrows. She then proceeds to say everything has a solution and wanted to cut my bangs even shorter than what they already were. I normally come and they charge me $15 and she charged me $20 for a service that wasn’t even good. I’ve cut my hair at my house and they’ve come out better than this, never coming here again. I’m not the person to leave reviews but this was so bad.

Vivian Gutierrez Becareful because they overcharge you when paying with card without telling you. Service was good, I was told that my haircut would cost $18 and when I asked if they accepted debit card all they said was yes with no warning. Never mentioned there would be a $4 fee until I was charged me $22 and ALL THEY SAID was “now you know for next time”, there will definitely never be a next time.

Paula Soto Not thrilled with my daughter’s haircut. I asked for 3 inches off and layers. The lady did not seem very experienced. Also the wait was long with only one person there when I arrived and 3 others already sitting. My daughter’s hair does not look like it has layers and the sides are not even. I did not ask for her to fix it because if she can’t tell that it does not look nice, I was worried that she might make it worse. I will not go back. I do not recommend this location on McColl in Edinburg.

aurora garcia NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN, worst place ever to go! I asked to get layers done at my sons long hair and she ended up cutting the entire freaking hair SHORT!!!! Lesson learn not to go to a cheap place and where they dont listen to customer needs!!!

Orenda Yvette and Marisela have a bad atmosphere about the place. This is the 3rd time they gave a customer a hard time for their hair styles they pick and Yvette likes to laugh when Marisela makes fun of a customer. I personally had 2 issues with Yvette as I would show a photo of what I want and she would ask for specifics and if u say like the photo she will give you a hard time and try to rush the haircut. These aren’t good ppl and not every justacut is like this but this one has very poor customer service and rude. Some higher up needs to visit and see camera footage how they treat the ppl here. I rly wish I recorded it so I can show in here

Isaias Pedraza Hello I live near the justacut location at 2801 W University Dr #4, Edinburg, TX 78541. I came here 3 times because it’s the closet place to me and every time I have issues with Yvette. It’s like she always wants to leave early and argue with any hair change you would like. If you look at the google reviews I’d be one of the many. I would like this problem addressed so I can tell you the full story. I saw a man angrily walk out bc they kept laughing at him for his hair style Yvette and Marisela. This happen to me as well before from Yvette. I’m not sure why it’s such a toxic atmosphere but I personally saw Yvette give 2 customers a hard time for their hair choices and would complain every time they wanted something done after the cut. It’s like she likes making the customer feel silly for their choices, they could ask please do my hair like this photo and she would say “okay what number u want ur sides?” They would say like the photo. She then would complain and say she needs specific as she can’t understand basic concepts of a picture of the hair you want. She need reported and I will contact corporate this is the 3rd time dealing with her

Daniela Castro Just went with my husband to cut his hair. He showed them a picture of how he wanted it and the lady did something totally different. She kept stalling and kept going over the same spot with the clippers. She never faded in the hair and left it too long on top. If she didnt know how to do the haircut she should of said so. That would of been better than her messing up his hair. Never again.

Iris Garcia All signs said open, but the door was locked, and there was no answer. I havent tried the service itself yet. But it is a false advertisement leaving the open sign on. May change my rating next time when I get a chance to try the service.
