SUGAR 2THRROWED I had a terrible experience at a barbershop that allows unlicensed individuals to practice cutting hair. During my visit, not one but two people worked on my haircut, which turned out completely messed up. The lack of skill and professionalism was obvious, leaving me highly dissatisfied. When I called to request a refund, they flat-out refused, showing no accountability for their poor service. Overall, it was an unprofessional and frustrating experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Marla Toledo Years ago I had gone to get my hair done. But the stylist back then told me she would not touch my hair because it would damage it. So I respected what she said. So I went elsewhere and I was told my hair wouldn’t be damaged, that the person who told me that, just didn’t want to do my hair. Before it wasn’t a problem and I did not understand why the sudden change not to do my hair.
Since years passed, I went by yesterday to talk to her about my hair again, she gave me price and hours available in front of the owner Reyna. She was acting little off towards me and I did not understand why. I even mentioned to her that a family member brought my daughter to her for a quote. But when I left, I get a call from that family member and she told me that the stylist text her and asked her if she could talk. So they talked and she told her that she didn’t feel comfortable doing my hair nor my daughters.
So why couldn’t she tell me that when I went personally? Because she didn’t want to say anything in front of the owner.
Turns out, she had a grudge against me because back then I had her on Facebook and I had unfriended her. But it wasn’t just her, it was the whole staff because we didn’t have any contact via social media , so I kept it professional that way. So she chose to tell my family member that she didn’t want to do my hair because she thinks I deleted her because she wouldn’t do my hair yrs ago and she felt like I was mad at her. I was upset at first because she could’ve done my hair yrs ago , just chose not to and said it would damage my hair. My hair was just fine and was able to get what I wanted elsewhere.
But since this was yrs ago, I was over it and decided why not try again. Because she’s good at it. I’m not the one with a grudge nor am I upset anymore of what happened yrs ago. But what really makes me mad is that she could’ve asked my family member for my number to talk so she can tell me why. Instead of telling them she doesn’t feel comfortable doing my hair cause she thinks I’m still mad and because I took her off Facebook. If I was still mad, why would I go by or even let my daughter get a quote from her. Now my 16 yr old daughter is upset because she feels she’s taking it out on her. Well, she’s going to lose customers being this way and the business will lose money too. So I hope Reyna sees my review on what her stylist Adriana did. She also should not take it out on my family member if she sees this review. Because she’s the one that called her directly to relay the message to me that she doesn’t feel comfortable doing my hair and I have a right like anyone else to post my own review.
