annika Michael’s instagram looked promising which is why I booked. Unfortunately my haircut turned out bad. He was stopping to check his phone often and completely messed up the top of my hair. As you can see it is not all one length, very choppy, and left a bit of hair behind my ears. Really disappointed

Kaneisha Bowles This is the best shop I have been to in my life!! All the barbers have great energy and it’s always laughter. Reginald is my main stylist he always do a phenomenal job with my hair making me feel confident. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Emmanuel Strother $55 for a regular temp fade is crazy I don’t care if I’m a walk in that’s crazy and it wasn’t a 55 dollar haircut if you know you charging that much you need to have us agree on a price before hand because I would’ve went somewhere else. Would never recommend going in there they trynna finesse you your money better off somewhere else.

Roseann Bakhrebah I got my bikini wax done with Kya. She was exceptional. Articulate, friendly, and made me instantly feel comfortable. She was also extremely sanitary and educated on the services she provides. An overall great experience and I can’t wait to go back. Kya answered all my questions and even told me some things I probably wouldn’t have thought to ask. Highly recommend. YazzyWay Hair Studio is like a breath of fresh air.

Stephanie Vazquez I went to get a Brazilian wax with Kya The Purple Spider. The experience was very smooth. Her interaction was calming and comforting. I was nervous but she made me feel at ease as she explained as she went along. The process itself was fast and efficient. She was professional and kind. I also loved the ambiance. The entire YazzyWay Studio staff are very warm and inviting. I plan on going back to each section to get my services done! And the fact they are veteran run business owners is admirable! My new favorite one stop shop in Killeen/Fort Hood area!! Thank you guys for your business! We needed something like this in town!

My lace was so MELTED you would have thought it was naturally coming out my scalp. The salon was very clean and the lash tech even got me in the same day. I loved my experience with Yazzy Way Salon.

Ashontee Cook I recently took a wig making class with Yazzy and it was nothing short of amazing! She is so professional and took her time with teaching. Her shop is super clean with a home like feel and a pretty pink color. She bought everything I needed for my class so I felt like I got all my money worth, she is really worth every penny. She’s so patient and sweet, she gives real life advice, teaching for how to perfect your business, photos, and so much more. It was also food provided for my class as well. I can’t wait till I can take my next one.

Donzaleigh Rice I attended a look a learn class on how to apply lace wigs seamlessly. The class was very intricate and detailed, and I enjoyed it. Yazz answered all our questions and showed us step by step on how to achieve the look. I appreciate her for having this class now I have something to add to my tool box as a Stylist Thank you

Amy McKnight The women there were very unfriendly. Door clearly says walk-ins welcome. Both ladies said they didnt have time, no offer to schedule to come back or anything. My daughter is biracial and we have found it very hard to find someone to cut her hair. Figured an ethnic beauty shop was the way to go. Wont be going back in that place though!! They looked at us like we were aliens walking in there.

Toni Hopkins Brown Ms. Gay has anointed hands. She takes her job very seriously. If you have damaged hair and want it to grow take her advice. Shes very quiet but all about her business.

Tyrone Dixon Mrs. Gay is one of the best beautician in the world. She doesnt just treat you as a person of the street trying to get your hair done. She ensures you all are one big happy family.

Michelle Clayton Definitely the best stylist I’ve seen in Killeen. Between me and my girls we leave satisfied every time. She took my hair from dry and damaged to silky and moisturized. My girls don’t even let me touch their heads anymore. Family friendly and very understanding. Don’t walk run and experience her great customer service and growing hands.

stephanie haley Char is so knowledgeable and did a great a job on my silk press. She walked me through every step and it only took about an hour to complete. She is AMAZING at what she does and really knows natural hair. I HIGHLY recommend her! 10/10

Destiny McDaniel I got to sit in her chair almost a week ago and I’m very glad I made this last minute decision. I was in denial and thought I had the healthiest hair and she was so polite and educated me that I really had ways to go. She has very gentle hands and the service was so quick which I appreciated. Very pleased with my results and I will be back soon to get another treatment.

S Thomas I have been on the hunt for a while now in search of a good stylist. The reviews I read online said Emily was a great stylist so I called and set up an appointment with her. I was definitely not disappointed. Not only did she do a great job but she actually cares for the health of her costumers hair. I wanted some color but she was honest with me and instead of just taking my $ she advised me to wait. She told me I needed to get it healthier first or it would really damage it. I really appreciated that honesty! Emily is now in my contacts as my new stylist.

Linda Morado Hair cut. Long fine limp hair. High and low lights. Cut just like i asked. Kelly was my stylist and I absolutely love her and her work! Will definitely recommend and for sure going back. 100+

Andrea McDonald I have mixed feelings about my experience here. My stylist was Emily. On the plus side she was prompt and friendly in person and I don’t believe she intentionally messed up my hair. I requested to have my hair dyed completely light copper red. She mentioned in the text that it might take two sessions but when I arrived she believed it might be one instead. We were working from what I believed to be virgin hair because I hadn’t dyed it in a few years and when I did it was black. At the time my hair was brown with light browns ends that had a copper ish undertone. When she evaluated my hair she seemed confident that she could achieve my desired look but seemed to want to add highlights. I wasn’t really looking for that but at her insistence I reluctantly agreed as long as most of my hair was the color I requested. I showed her a picture, which I felt would clear up any ambiguity. After a soap cap (I think that’s what it is called I’m not very knowledgeable in this field) and foiling a few chunks of hair up top, my hair was multiple colors. It wasn’t terrible but it really wasn’t what I asked for, and very little of it came out anything near the desired color. Now my hair is slightly lighter in the back, somewhat copper near the front 1/3 top, and has two blond streaks right at the front of my head. I do think she attempted to do what I asked but it’s not what we got. She seemed very pleased with her work, even asking me to walk back and show another stylist. I wasn’t very happy with the result but paid the 250.00 and an additional 50.00 tip because she was very friendly and I know she put a lot of work into what she did do. I messaged her after the fact expressing my displeasure, but was only met with a somewhat argumentative response stating that she told me in the beginning that it might take two sessions. She didn’t express that in person, and if she had only apologized that we couldn’t get the look and informed me during the visit that she would try again, that would’ve been okay. She made no offer to try and fix it. She just stopped messaging. She never even offered an apology and I feel very disappointed. I even communicated that it may have been my misunderstanding because even though she had mentioned it might take more than one session she made it sound like it would only be one after she saw my hair. So I actually apologized to her more than once for my ignorance in the matter hoping to prompt her to do the same for the inadequate work. Unfortunately, no apology was given and no offer to remedy the situation was offered either. The two stars are for her professionalism during the session, the work she did do, and prompt scheduling. The rest was a negative experience that cost 250.00 (not counting the tip, I was just raised to always tip when someone works for you). The first pic is my hair three days after the appt, the second is what I asked for and sent her a picture of.

Chloe Alford I went in asking for a highlights and a trim on my bob and on my long layers, I even showed a previous picture of my hair that showed the length and color I wanted. The color turned out ok, some streaks of orange but after the catastrophe of the cut I didn’t even care about the color. I left with choppy layers with the shortest layer being more than half way shorter than my longest length. My “face framing” consisted of the hair in front of my ears being completely chopped to nose length. It was like what I said I wanted went in one ear of the the stylist and right out the other ear. It made me leave in tears and have an entire breakdown once I got to my car. The salon seemed nice and the lady that did my hair had 15+ years experience so I thought I was in good hands but it looked like a 6 year old took scissors to my hair and went crazy on it. I was so upset it didn’t even cross my mind to get a refund, just to get the heck out of there. The pictures show my original asking length (which would’ve been about an inch being cut off) and then how I left the salon. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

B Spivey Older does not mean better customer service or experience. Had to leave after the wash bc they do not value your time. When your over booking interferes with my time it’s a problem. I’m not a friend I’m a paying customer and that’s it. I’d drive back to Austin to get my hair done before I pay to be treated as anything less than a valued customer. They are just as ghetto and unprofessional as they come. And I have no problem walking out with my pocket full of cash and my hair wet. Thank you for blessing me on the way out ladies.

And for the price you cant beat it its only a couple more dollars than great clips and they shampoo your hair and take much more care Into what you want!

Ashley Stewart Stephanie W. Did my silk press & hair cut from really bad hair loss state and damage. She accepted me as a walk in , super last minute and did WONDERFUL. I literally loved my hair. They also are sister company with “M” beauty Co. The only negative I would say would be the 49$ to book. I feel that is a little pricey and unheard of, but it does go towards your total on the bright side.

Keandra On a busy Friday, I knew it would be hard to find an open chair for a keratin treatment. Thankfully I called M Salon and was able to be worked in with Holley. I could go into detail with how amazing she is, but the work speaks for itself. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my style and cut; I will definitely be back when I’m in town.

Tatianna Harris Very friendly environment. They do what they need to do for sure. (First silk press) Went for another press , different stylist, it ain’t hit the same. It wasn’t as straight as it could be and the trim wasn’t precise(had a lot of straggler hairs). Also Charged me more than what I should’ve been 113 for a silk press is crazy. Didn’t even bump the ends… since I’m already complaining she was rough as hell too. If I come back it’ll be w a different stylist.. no offense.

Karen Kinyua Stephanie took me in within a days notice after my stylist canceled for a family emergency. She executed the style even better than I expected. Everyone was super friendly and the environment is very comfortable. So many wonderful things to say about my experience. Ill definitely become a regular. I even got lashes installed that I had not booked for but the graciously squeezed me in. So happy for a business thats doing right by their customers.

Natasha Rogers Even though their online system did not work and my appt did not go through on the online portal I was greeted by the ladies inside politely and they were very apologetic. I was STILL able to get my hair done and I appreciated the atmosphere of positivity.

Lewis Pat (Pal) Miss Lil does a great. I highly recommend Lil’s Touch of Class to get your hair done. She’s very knowledgeable about the chemistry of hair.

Tyishia Stewart Very disappointed… I was supposed to get my hair done at 2:00pm my hair dresser was doing someone else hair, doing her hair was dying. Very disappointed will not come back.

Andrew Anderson Scheduled an appointment early in the week for Saturday at 830am. Was sent confirmation emails and reminders. Showed up, rang door bell, and called the number for 20 minutes. No one answered. Very unprofessional service. I will not be attempting to reschedule.

Jackie Henson Went to get Hot hair fusions done by Chantelle and the job she performed was very unprofessional and not done correctly as she stated to me I was the first African-American with natural hair she did hair fusions on. Hair fusions came out horrible and now I have to get them removed from another hairstylist. I did ask for a refund which was $675 to be given back which she refused after her bad service performed on my hair. I would not recommend anyone to go there to get hair Fusions as your money will be taken and you will not be happy with the results. Also make sure you ask for hair Invoice and receipt as apparently she doesn’t give them out either. I was also charge for hair that I did not use as she ordered too much and I ended up paying for that as well. There are other salons out there that will treat you a lot better than ruining your hair and taking your money but I will never go back there again.

Jess Ayala Tebbe I stumble upon this hair salon. The hair dresser that worked in my hair was Lala and OMG she is amazing, she did a magnificent job. Very professional, amazing work done on my hair. I will definitely be coming here again. Im glad I found her. I highly recommend her.

Deveria Hampton I’m so blessed to have found Chantel! She’s been my hair stylist for almost 2 years now. Her studio is clean, lavishly designed and her work is always on point. I’m natural as well as my daughter and she does both of our hair. My daughter gets treatments in between getting her hair braided. Chantel’s treatments have helped her hair grow and flourish.

Jalynn Jones As soon as i came in, i felt welcome. The ladies there were so nice to me. They work very fast, and even stayed after business hours to make sure my hair was perfect. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO! Very quiet, clean, and PROFESSIONAL environment. My box braids turned out exactly how i wanted them and they are so NEAT. If youre looking for your some amazing braids stop by and make an appointment you wont regret it!

Iris Hale I got my hair done by this establishment around half a month ago. I was booked as a 3:00 p.m client and I waited for over an hour until they began my hair. When calling to make a reservation, they didnt take my name, so there was confusion when I arrived and they didnt know who I was. It turns out that I did not bring enough hair, and I was willing to run out and grab some more. But they substituted with some of the hair they had to fill in the patches. Or so I thought. They failed to tell me that even with the extra hair, there was still a patch of uncovered hair. Two weeks later, the hair I got crocheted in began to fall out. The ends of the cornrow of my real hair are now exposed, and I have to keep tucking them back in. The braider was sick when doing my hair, and coughed multiple times behind me, along with blowing her nose then not sanitizing before touching my hair again. All in all, they were very nice people, but I will not be going back to this place due to the lack of communication and professionalism.

Freda Dorime Somewhat hard to understand but they did beautiful work. Really made me feel comfortable and I actually got into the shows she played while braiding! Easy to schedule and prices are similar all around. Not heavy handed but braids are super tight so try not to style until head isnt tender. Lasted way longer than I thought they would. Will be returning again soon. Would be 5 stars if same people were available everytime. I think the stylist rotate, and for me, I like using the same person because they know what I like.

Susan Brett With great trepidation and a huge amount of nervous anxiety, I knew that I needed to seek a professional stylist to sort out my hair. I have had so many bad experiences in the past, so I put a message out on social media for recommendations. After being given this salons name as a great place, I contacted them, explained what I needed and was put in touch with Steffany, their senior stylist. Oh my goodness. She LISTENED ..actually listened, offered advice, and spent a good amount of time with me . She put in some beautiful highlights and gave me a new style which is stunning. LaShawnda Franklin I was recommended to this shop after going to the same braider for 10 years and they are amazing. The shop is clean and peaceful. They work quickly and neatly. I even came to get my braids taken down for a great price. This shop will be where I come for the next 10 years!!

sereta smith The salon was nice and clean, prompt service and I was happy when I left. The same night, I lost a curl (goddes braids) but assumed it was 1 stray hair. Nope! It hasnt been 2 weeks and I have lost a massive amount of curls. I took a photo but Im not sure how to add it here. Its obvious she did not braid them down far enough before leaving the pieces loose. I did notice that she was asking questions to the older braider next to us in her native language and she would look over at my hair and respond. Im assuming she has not done this style very many times before. I would be okay with her practicing but not while being charged full price. I would probably give 1 star but its not fair to the entire salon when only 1 person did my hair but Im not sure of her name.

albert elmore THIER service is horrible, I went there and they do not know how to communicate to the customer. They were very loud and rude, the service I received was awful. They couldn’t do a straight braid in my head . I left there and went to another braiding shop and they were surprised by the sloppy work they had done. After talking my braids down they re did my head to perfection. The place I went to and received professional and courteous service was MAMA AFRICAN HAIR 1705 S FT HOOD ST.

Teri Cabrera NATURALS BEWARE!!!! I went here in December 2017 for a basic wash, trim, and flat iron. Two weeks later when I when I attempt to revert my hair back to my 3b texture.... It doesn’t revert. Yvette heat damaged my hair...My tresses are ruined. I rarely ever straighten my hair and I have never had any time damage done to my hair. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone.

Nicholas Absolutely BOTCHED a medium skin fade haircut. Was only faded about an inch up and left the rest. Made the front uneven. Had an arch in the line on the back. Then they slapped gel or product in it, cleaned it up so it looks fine until I showered and realized how bad it looked. It took 45 minutes for them to do a half done, terrible fade job. DO NOT GO TO THIS BARBERSHOP. $25 (+ Tip) down the drain.

Joseph Engle Worst haircut I’ve ever had while living in Killeen! You can see lines on the top of my head from the guard because the guy only went over it once, one way. I didn’t realize it until I got home, or I would’ve never given him a $25 tip. I was also never told a price, so when I handed him $40, he just stood there. So I said keep the rest. I’ll never come back and I will never recommend anyone coming here. I highly recommend anyone looking for a good haircut to go elsewhere. I have to cut my hair on my own to fix it.

heather lynch If I could leave 0 stars I would. They butchered my sons hair. If you, as a professional, can’t do the cut requested, say so, don’t continue to cut his hair. After this barber cut my sons cowlick down to an 8 guard (in the front)and left the rest of his hair long, I almost cried. We asked for some length to be taken off all over and have it trimmed around his ears and neck. We left and went to another place and there they tried their best to save my sons hair.

Melissa McGahee Both my son and husband get their hair cut by Miss Jess who never disappoints. I recently got starter locs by Miss D. She was patient, kind, and gave me the style I desired. I like that there wasnt an outrageous wait time that Ive experienced at other salons, the atmosphere was easy and comfortable.

ann mitchel they will choose on how much to tip them, and you wouldnt find out so be careful. and haircut with every thing they charge 70 so ask first on how much for service since its hard for them to speak english.and never do walk in with them

I have moved to South Carolina and I travel seventeen hours just to get my hair done with her. I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. If you show a picture of what hair style or color you want she pulls it off as you can see in my pictures! I will always recommend Young’s to everyone because I know she does amazing work!

Hikiko2 Mori Didnt give me the color I want. Asked for a trim and not only did she take off an inch and a half she also gave me a super choppy cut. One of my back layers. On top of that she also gave me a poorly done fringe. Went on and on how this and that would be faster than what I asked for yet I spent three hours there. Three hours for nothing I wanted. I will at least concede that the color she ended up giving me was nice. However I deeply regret going there. I will not be returning.

Atoya R Natural hair, Protective hair styles, curly or straight, Ruth has more then 20 years experience and it shows! I have been going to her since 2012. She cares about your hair, your style and more. She uses a variety of different products and innovative approaches to tailor styles to what the customer wants and needs. The atmosphere is super quiet so you get one on one attention at times and other times its filled with laughter and music. She has a tremendously professional demeanor, wonderful spirit. You will leave there feeling like a new person. Go see for yourself!
