I started going to her when she was a stylist working at Tangles, and I have continued to follow her after she took over ownership at Tangles and after her move to Sugar Land as well. She has witnessed me grow up, get married, become a nurse, and have children. She is not just my hair stylist but a part of my family now. Martha Gardner Annie was recommend by a friend. Went by today to ask her about an inverted bob cut. Lucky fir me she had an available opening. I have long, very fine, thin, straight hair. She listened to my concerns. I showed her a picture of what I hoped my hair would look like and we talked about the cut. Annie nailed it. Best haircut ever!!! She even took extra time to show me how to style it and let me practice while I was there so I could ask her questions. Professional, friendly, and Annie is excellent at her craft. I highly recommend Annie at Hair International.

Megan Rose Went it today for my first time. Got a cut, shampoo, style, and full color. Not only was my stylist finished in half the time it normally takes, but I had the best shampoo of my life, the color turned out perfect, and it cost $100 for everything!! EVERYTHING!! I’ve never paid that little for my hair!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

She got my hair lightening and got the extensions in. Came back for 2 more rows and this hair is my favorite so many compliments. She is a magic. Service was good but we will NOT be going back!

Mike Pappas The perm My mom was supposed to be 75.00 but they charged me 120.00, when I asked them why,they said I depends on the person getting the perm I said so you decide what prices pay,she then told me they raised there prices,but up on there board it said 75.00, if you ask me they are #1 racist and #2 they lied about it and rip people off,stay away from this place at all cost,unless you dont mind getting ripped off.

Kathaleen Bailey I have been going to Strands for a few years now and it is the only place I trust with my hair. Everyone is nice, and it is usually pretty quiet in the salon. Complimentary cold drinks. I go for a wash, cut, and blow dry and my visit comes out to $75+tip. I get my haircut by Helen, who is super sweet and easy to talk to. My hair always feels so silky afterwards that I’ve started using the products that she uses too. I have used Danny before and he is also very nice!

Dana DeBuck I have been going to Strands Salon for many years now. Staff is always courteous and welcoming from start to finish. I followed my hair stylist, Yolanda, when she started working at Strands. Yolanda has always provided me great cuts, color, & stylings. She does a wonderful blow out that last so long, and per my request, she doesnt use a flat iron on my hair. I have a lot of thick curly hair so I give her a work out! Love Yolanda and highly recommend this salon.

Heather Ingram Stylists were professional, timely, and courteous. Options were discussed prior to service and I couldnt have asked for better service! Ms. Ashley runs a tight ship and her student Erin did a fabulous tag team job on my color. I will only come here moving forward for any form of service for my hair!

Michael-Angelo Remorca Jay was very precise and attentive to what I wanted. He also taught me how to style my hair and walked me through how he was going to cut my hair and what products I should use, without trying to force sell his products as others do. Ayra Ali I was really hesitant to leave a bad review here because Ive had good experiences here twice before. I got my virgin hair done here and then again with another stylist. I booked with Avery and Kaelyn and referred many friends and family. But the third time I went to get my hair done, I got nothing like what I wanted. I wanted more solid COOLER blonde. I have naturally dark hair and wanted to go very light. I understand this isnt always possible, but promising false positives and ruining/botching my hair weeks before senior photos and prom is so upsetting. My hair turned completely orange. I made it very clear that I do not like warm tones, and if my hair wouldnt look like my inspo photos, and how I didnt want WARM tones which I made extremely clear. After 7+ hours finishing my whole head was orange, we quickly put a new toner on so I could go home. I came back soon to fix the damage, but it did almost nothing. Within less than a week, my hair was once again yellow and orange. I can attach photos below. I texted the stylist, and for even more money, it would be fixed. Which I would be willingly to do but after my results I couldn’t trust this salon again to give more money and let her touch my hair again. Now my hair is over-processed and way too damaged to be fixed by another salon. I figured out the horrible job done here after I visited blonde/color correctional specialists. If you have dark hair and want to go light, I say stay away from this place. They have completely ruined my hair and my excitement for my senior year! I feel awful every time I look in the mirror(while I’m patiently waiting for my hair to get healthier to be fixed) even after getting it fixed elsewhere. The damage done here can only be fixed so much due to bleach damage/over processed hair. I had highlights before and got a partial, but the back split of my hair was all black and looked disgusting. My whole head is orange and yellow, and the placement is nothing like my photos. The first photo below is my hair a few days before getting it done, the second is my inspo photo, and the third and fourth are how I looked after we were done pre-fixing. After “fixing,” the fourth photo shows all yellow and orange again, nothing better. The fixing we did was a wet balayage and new toner, but my hair went back to orange and yellow in less than a week or two, and the black split showing through did practically nothing. Im so upset and will be telling everyone I referred to stay away, leaving this review for all my dark-haired girls trying to go blonde. Genuinely so upset and wishing everyone a better experience!

A Vatta Excellent service. I got the highlights done from this location. Alexis asked if i had any questions before getting the highlights. I said i don’t have much knowledge about hair treatments and wanted to know more whether which colour would suit on me. No doubt!!! She helped me find a colour that’d suit on me and did her best. The only problem i found was there not a much difference from the highlights i already had and the one they did. I needed something different but turned out to be almost the same that i had before. There should be more clarification or at-least pictures to show to clients for reference about how their hair colour will look like after treatment. Especially, for the clients who have little to no knowledge about hair treatments.

Emily Wheeler I recommend this place above all others! I went here solely due to reviews and was not disappointed. I got my hair botched at another salon, and they took me the next day and fixed it! I asked for a super ashy blonde and they delivered! I was there all day due to it being a color correction plus other services, but they always made me feel comfortable and welcome the entire time. Seriously, they’re amazing. So thankful for Alexis and Rachel! Plus everyone else who stepped in to make this happen after my horrible experience elsewhere.

yaz Price is reasonable!!! But i have thick hair and after trim i feel she thinned my hair out by brushing it so roughly and aggressively and pulled out a good amount of my hair. Never let them brush your hair after wash. Ridiculous.

William Cao This place have to be the worst barber place I have ever seen, show them the picture of the hair cut and told not to cut the back of my hair yet they proceed to cut it extra short. The lady was also having a nasty attitude. Barber here has no clue how to cut hair. Yet having a nasty attitude is even worst. Save yourself some headache and go somewhere else. I wish I could rated 0 but google doesn’t allow writing a review without the rating.

Jason Lawson Do NOT buy hair from this company! The hair is so bottom of the barrel that you can find better hair from Amazon. I spent almost $500 for 3 bundles, thinking I was getting GOOD hair and omg, the hair I got was complete TRASH! I was advised that I should try to get the hair professionally washed, however nothing worked. I then mailed the hair back after texting the owner multiple times, sending pics, etc…. I just came to the realization that the hair was completely worthless. I then advised my bank that I was scammed because I didn’t purchase what was advertised, which was quality hair and I let them know the hair was returned. The owner is so hard up for a coin, that she disputed my request for a refund even though she got her chop shop hair back. I guess that was just another donation I was forced to make, to the less fortunate, because not only did she got her cheap chop shop hair back, but she also got $500 of my money. Please BEWARE before buying any hair from this place!!!!

T Landry Joy, I did NOT damage your hair, the hair was of horrible quality when brought!!!!! Let’s be honest, you continued to offer remedies on how to salvage the hair when this shouldn’t have had to be done!!!! When the hair is good, the hair is good! I brought RAW hair directly from a vendor, for the same price that you charged and I haven’t had one problem!!! It’s AMAZING quality! The hair has been bleached and everything and the it is still AMAZING!!! So kill it with the excuse of someone damaged your hair!!! Furthermore, I blocked YOU (JOY) because instead of saying what a reputable company would say, which is please return the hair and let me make this right….you continued to come up with remedies to repair the hair! Like who does that? And you know damn well you didn’t refund my money!!! So please STOP lying to the internet! You received your hair back and you kept my money!!!

Mohamed Kamara visited Houston for the week and needed last minute cornrows. the shop had a lovely set up and the staff was very warm and helpful. the cornrows came out wonderfully and I received the best service i’ve ever had at a salon. definitely coming back!

Shauna Caine The establishment was nice and clean. You can tell Joyce truly cares about the quality of work which leaves the salon. China Clutch was my stylist and she also received some assistance from another awesome stylist, Lexi. They both were very knowledgeable and confident in themselves or their ability to ensure a satisfied customer most importantly. I received a sew in from the salon’s Treasure Box special. It is relatively comfortable. I haven’t experienced any tugging of any sorts on my edges nor nape (back hairline) area. I will definitely be a returning customer!! I have not had any issues with any of my threads coming loose, still no tugging of any sorts and today I went in for a shampoo and closure maintenance with Chyna!! As before, she was amazing but yall, when I say she out did herself with this closure…..SHE DID EXACTLY THAT!!! My curls have dropped a bit on this humid day so I’m only uploading a photo of the closure for now!

Elizabeth Doriety My husband has his barber here and spoke with Mary to find someone for me when we moved here to Sugar Land last year. I finally saw her today and she did such an amazing job. azardokht kaymanesh It was worth place to work Not clean at all when you ask for repairs somethings was bad they always said ( you have to pay is not our responsibility) A week that was frizzing last winter no one could be at work for a week but they charged people when we complain they said (is what it is) So I was there for a year it was nightmare When I go there I had 3 friends and family that we went there almost the same time but they moved even before a year When I told them I am going to move They said we are going to send you all your deposit everything is clean and good in your room but after two weeks I called and ask for my deposit they said no we cannot Bc you have to told us 30 day before I told them but when I told you you said ok But I am happy to leave Right now I am in lakeside salon at 1945 lakeside plaza Dr sugarland Is so beautiful clean friendly with too many service free coffee shops free laundry Thanks god

Flawless by Fe I absolutely love salons by JC in Sugarland! I not only get serviced there but I am also a tenant. I have been a tenant there for 4 years and I love it and the property managers are amazing. Margarita and Daisha are so professional. They greet you upon entrance and really understand the ins and outs of the building.

Never coming here again. told her i was not satisfied and the employee started working on her hair like literally she started washing her hair and im standing right there! i got so upset that i went to talk to the owner and she came and took a pic of my car and told me to shut up! im a regular and owner knows me and my sisters. sameeha I went for a hair wash not even five minutes ago. I have pretty long hair so I suppose it could have been a bit overwhelming for the lady, but we paid extra so I don’t think it’s an excuse for what happened. After she washed and “rinsed” my hair we went to the chair to brush it. I notice my hair was super soapy so I squeezed it and saw millions of soap particles all over my hair that hadn’t been rinsed out. I had to go back to the hair wash station and ask her to rinse it again. She denied her mistake at first but I convinced her. I may be overreacting but I believe she rushed and took just as much time on my long hair as she would for a bob. I wish she had payed closer attention while rinsing since I paid her extra. However I believe it depends on the lady because my sister had an amazing experience with her hair wash.

Hamna Ahmedd Pathetic experience!! I have been a loyal customer for years even after relocating to Katy area i came back to this place because of good services but im disappointed by the horrible attitude of the salon lady. She was rude and was badmouthing me. This was my last visit here. She was even taking pictures without consent, very very unprofessional of them! Also very poor customer service.

Chase Walling Had to find a new place to get my hair cut at since my long time stylist left the place I had been going to for years. Needless to say, finding someone you trust and that does exactly what you want is very stressful. I booked with Stephanie and couldn’t be happier. She’s very friendly and knowledgeable when it come to bald fades. Couldn’t recommend her enough. Bought the bald fade membership and will be coming back weekly.

C Knott Ms. Gertrude and the ladies are wonderful. They installed my micro locs and I love my hair. Itll be 1 year next month and my hair has grown so much. The atmosphere is family orientated.

Tjay B This is the most clean and efficient hair braiding salon that I have ever gone to!!! I went in on Wednesday to set up my appointment. My hair stylist that I was paired with was Zara. I showed her the crochet style that I wanted. We set up an appointment for Friday afternoon, even though I could have gotten in same day. My appointment day came and Zara was communicative via text when she thought she might have a delay, but it ended up being that she didn’t. I went to my Friday appointment and sat in the chair right at my appointment time and I was out in an hour and 15 minutes!!!!! Zara did my cornrows and then she and another lady whipped my crochet hair in at lightning speed!! Let me note that I am super tender headed and nothing hurt while she was braiding or is hurting next day. I’m not itching in my scalp either. I’m allergic to coconut oil and this shop doesn’t use it, thank goodness for me!! Zara is wonderful!!! This shop is awesome!!! I will definitely be back!

M Guidry-Jones Exceptional group of professional ladies with awesome skills! I had my hair braided with goddess crochet braids then installed. I highly recommend Family Braiding. In addition, the shop is spacious and exceptionally clean!

Amanda Davis Biggest hair money scam I’ve even endured. They don’t care about the quality of hair just money. Do not go to them for microlocs with extensions. They can’t show you anyone long term and my daughter’s hair looks terrible one year later. The extensions and hair don’t match, the locs are very stiff and dry. They sold us a false dream. To do repairs they charge an astronomical amount of money. They are only about money and how fast they can work to get to the next customer for payment. I would not recommend them to anyone. Lesson learned. Now we will have to take down my daughter’s locs, lose out on all that money we paid to start them off, and start over with true professionals. I have microlocs myself and they are very well done. My loctician is the real deal but this place is not.

Bela Latif Sandra cut my hair, she did exactly as I told her in the picture and recommended me according to my face shape. She was extremely attentive to hearing my thoughts on what haircut I wanted. Throughout cutting my hair she asked me if the length was good and if I liked the shape. She explain to me what kind of length would suit me. She got another appointment while I was there; still she didn’t rush my haircut and assured the other person she would take care of him. I was worried she would rush it and cut it wrong but she took her time to satisfy me. I would go back to her. Haircut and blow dry was $65 as I had long hair.

It was my first time visiting this salon and based on others’ reviews I decided to make an appointment with Adriana and that was the best decision. I asked for curtain bangs with long layers and she delivered it just how I wanted it. If you are looking for a cut, give her a try and you will not regret.

aashna dolls n guys is such a great local hair salon! great staff and amazingly professional service. i’ve been coming for haircuts with Nadya for around 10 years now and i always leave the salon feeling confident. she cuts hair so well you can tell she’s an expect at what she does. the hair cuts i get here are always so easy to manage and style on my own too! thank you, Nadya for being my go to hairstylist for a decade now!

Shima Azimi Mina did such a wonderful job with my hair color and Brazilian Blowout. She literally has transformed my hair and made my life SO much easier by giving me manageable hair. I literally only blow dry my hair for 10 minutes and brush it out and Im good to go. I highly recommend you go see her for all your hairstyling needs! Disclaimer: Not all hairstyles/textures will respond the same to a Brazilian Blowout, and its longevity is totally dependent on how much you wash your hair and if you use Sulfate-free and Keratin infused products in between treatments. You can expect a Brazilian Blowout to last anywhere from 4-12 weeks.

Rakhi Chaturvedi I am a regular customer at BI and deeply disappointed with recent experience of inflating the bill when my aesthetician gave the note with the breakup of services and total amount to be charged, still the receptionist decided to charge me extra for a service that I did not take and when I pointed out, she took it out, with no apology whatsoever. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to all the clients to check the breakup of their services during checkout as this is not the first time that this has happened.

Ashley R DO NOT COME HERE! The worst hair experience of my life. I went in for a blonde balayage and came out with raccoon streaks & string cheese like hair. At my consultation the stylist said she could do what I wanted (I had black hair and was wanting a blonde balayage) but at my actual appointment she told me (in a rude way) theres no way she can lighten my hair and the pictures I showed her are of models with money .. as if Im not pretty or rich enough to have good hair. After minutes of going back and forth, I trusted her opinion and settled for a honey balayage. My appointment was at 3pm and I was there until after they closed. I knew something bad had happened when she removed the foil from my hair and didnt let me see when I asked. My hair was all behind my shoulders, every time I asked her how it looked or if I could see she said Im still working on it or hold on something happened 3 other stylists came over with Oh no faces and asked her if she needed help. She denied help. She finally told me my hair had a chemical reaction she had never seen before and blamed me for not telling her I had something in my hair (I HAD VIRGIN HAIR!!) she couldnt brush my hair because balls of hair would fall off every time it was touched so she sent me home with wet and un brushed hair. I still had to pay full price and she told me to go home and put vinegar in my hair & it will look better. She did not apologize once for ruining my hair which she and the others still in the salon after it closed knew was damaged. Turns out, vinegar only dried it and made it worse. I went back the next day, my hair was still so ugly, the stylist was not there but the manager over heard me telling the receptionist what happened and came over. She remembered me from the night before, the manager saw what her stylist did to my hair and allowed a client leave her salon with wet unbrushed hair. Showing no empathy, she immediately offered a refund - but couldnt refund me the tip I left. I didnt care about the money, I just wanted to look normal. After me practically begging if they could fix my hair, she sent me to another stylist that was the best however, he asked rudely what am I supposed to do with this? This is all damaged. I cant work with this Of course I started to cry because they ruined my hair and could not fix it. They showed no empathy at all and somehow blamed me for my hair being damaged. I cried for two weeks straight. I couldnt brush or style my hair for weeks and was scared to even wash it because it kept falling out. A total of about 7 inches of my hair is what ended up falling out because of this. Good thing is, I went to another salon and they were able to fix what this salon said was un-workable. Here is a picture of what I asked and what I got. Embarrassing. Oh! Apparently, I was with the best balayage stylist here LOL

Dig Vsdeg Everyone there is very professional. Ive got my hair cut by 3 different hair stylists and everyone has done a great job. My wife even came to get a trim and they did a great job. The price is very reasonable and in a good location. The place has always been clean when Ive gone. It appears there has been recent hacking on some of these reviews. Businesses can be ruthless.

Bakhtawar sohail Lilly done my hair .she is fantastic person she gave my hair a life .I love the color and her service .Definitely recommended. And other lady I Dont know her name but she is a great person too she done my daughters hair cut and blow dry .I like you all Definitely come again .

Phil Horrible service. Doesnt know how to cut hair or speak english. Poking me with scissors constantly, and cut an extra 2 inches off what i wanted. Come here if you want them to mess your hair up
