I am so happy with my new cut. Everyone there was super nice. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming with a side of happy. It’s a terrific salon and I highly recommend them.

Charlotte Herridge I love Mimas. My hair stylist is Denice, and she does a terrific job. My hair has never looked better. The best thing about Denice is that she listens to me and cuts and styles my hair exactly the way I want it.

Ramsey Rodriguez All of the ladies here are excellent and friendly. The owner, Lupita, cut my hair last time I stopped in and was finished quick and did a real good job. Barber and beauty shop. They also sell jewelry.

Refia Celik This is the worst possible experience I’ve had in a hair salon. I wanted to get some highlights done (first time ever) and I brought a picture with me. I showed the stylist the picture and he said that he’d do his best to get as close as possible to the picture. When he was done, my hair looked great. Imagine my surprise when days later I wash my hair and the highlights washed off and started to stick out—they looked horrible! I reached out to the stylist who, instead of trying his best to accommodate me considering he was the one who had messed up my hair kept telling me he didn’t have time, and that he’d give me an appointment 2 days later. I drove to the salon and got the same answer. He was super rude and didn’t seem to understand how bad the terrible job that he did made me feel. Finally, when I was supposed to get an appointment so that he could finally fix it, he gave the spot to someone else and kept pushing back my appointment. I’m so disappointed not only at the terrible job that he did with my hair, but at the horrible way I was treated afterwards. We go to salons and we paid good money so that we can look our best. When I told him that, he insisted that he had given me a discount—as if that changed anything—because I was a referral from his friend. I still paid close to $200. The fact that he didn’t see the urgency in fixing my hair let me see how little clients are appreciated at that salon. And, by the way, we all know that when we bring a picture to a salon, our hair won’t look exactly like the one in the picture. Still, the hair should look good, not like mine did after one wash.

Liza Vega So I went there as a recommendation from a friend and they did not disappoint. I had the best experience there and well worth the price. Desiree was my stylist and she will be the one i go to from now on. The staff was super friendly and they not only compliment the customer but their staff for their work. Something I admire about family owned businesses. I cant wait to go nack for my color!!

She completed my hair in less than two hours, which usually takes me 5-6 hours – absolutely amazing! The cost was unbeatable for the quality of service. Starla is truly a wizard at her craft. The salon is clean and welcoming, and the entire staff is friendly and warm. Highly recommend!

danyela linebrink If I could give no stars I would!! I have very thin hair and I went to them for my wedding hair style. I went to my consultation and they made me feel like I we gonna have a nice style. I showed them the 1930s finger wave style I wanted. The girl who was still a student was given to me I was not aware of that till one of the employees told me as I was leaving and had payed my deposit. I figured she was good even though she was not yet licensed I mean they gave her my appointment for muWEDDING DAY!! The girl sent me a pic of a mannequin head that she had done the style on. It was not what I wanted I told the girl I don’t have enough hair for the pin curl style. She didn’t reply. I showed up the day of my wedding the girl absolutely messed my hair up!! The pin curls were sticking off my head with so much hair spay it made my hair flaky. The owner Starla was annoyed because she had girls in there getting prom hair done and I was crying over the hair I got done. She had the girl wash my hair. Starla said she could do the style no problem. She played with my hair for 5 minutes said well your not happy I guess so don’t pay even though they still had my deposit never got that back. So I had to go to my wedding and call a friend to please come do something anything with my hair. She did and I looked better then they two people’s attempts in a what is supposed to be a professional salon. I will never suggest anyone go here based on my experience. Your wedding day is stressful enough to deal with that leave with nothing and loose $50 in the process. Now I hear they are messing up piercings and tattoos too!!

Micaela Luna This was my first time there and I loved it. Everyone is friendly and they all help each other which I love. You don’t see the kind of work relationships that I saw here too often. I was doing a lot to my hair and I was there all day and not once did I hear anyone complaining about work or coworkers. My stylist was Priscilla and I definitely will be going back to her. From the beginning she went over everything I wanted to do and advise me on what was best for my hair. They do the pricing up front and let you know the amount for extra product so you can make a wise decision before hand. Priscilla knows how to work with long thick hair and that is hard to come by. I loved the end result. I highly recommend you go see her and visit the Salon.

Addison Hollen I had a referral to this place for Denise. Though this place is about 1/3 more expensive than the salons I normally go to, its for a good reason. I struggle with the grey hair that grows in splotches on my sides but then is just sprinkled around the rest of my head. I always end up having gray hair here and there no matter where I go to get my hair dyed. Denise was the expert here and used two different levels for different areas in my hair and I left without a single grey hair. She also was spot on with the hair cut I asked for even though Im always lenient on judgement on this. As long as its in the ballpark Im good. Since they keep my specific hair coloring recipe on file, Ill be back when I need a touch up for sure. The little drink cabinet and snacks were a nice little feature too.

Jennifer Calderone Priscilla did a great job on my hair! I do wish it went a little light since it was my natural hair, but they said that wasn’t possible. But it felt very unorganized. They called 26 mins before my appointment to tell me the stylist called in sick. Put me with a different stylist @ 9:45 (totally fine) and then said assistants would be helping her because she has other clients. When I expressed I was nervous about that on the phone, I got there and they made me sign a form that “everyone signs” basically saying I can’t complain if I don’t like my hair. 3 different girls worked on my hair. I got there @ 9:40 and didn’t get sat until 10. Didn’t get out of the salon until about 1:30 in the afternoon. I usually love getting my hair done here because the girl I normally go to always does a good job. I like my hair but the whole process was annoying and frustrating:( love my hair but disappointed in the customer service.

Melodie Rawson Sidney did such an amazing job on my hair! My ends were horrible, but I didnt want to compromise my entire length. She came up with the best long style for my thin/fine hair. The whole time she let me know exactly what she was doing and how much she was cutting. We opted for blended layers to give me more volume. Im not one do any high maintenance styles or color. She gave me the perfect service!

Jeannie Morrow Shae did a phenomenal job on my hair. I am new to the area and needed a new stylist in a bad way. Shae lifted my color 4 shades, blended it beautifully, put a treatment mask on, trimmed me up, and had me in stitches the entire time I was there. While my mask was sitting, I watched Shae transform another client simply by cutting her hair. It was beautiful. I listened as she talked to an older woman who is struggling with arthritis and was concerned she wasn’t washing her hair well enough. Not only did Shae put her at ease, she gave her good advice to help her in the future. I have definitely found my forever stylist and 10/10 recommend her to anyone who needs a little self care or pampering.

Paisley Lopez I never leave reviews but this girl def deserves one. I was so nervous due to the fact of having so many bad hair jobs & experiences in the past. However, Shae made me feel very comfortable & explained everything in great detail. Shes so down to earth & fun to talk to & her little cottage is so cute & relaxing. This is proably the 1st time Ive ever had my hair done that I actually get what I was trying to achieve. Im beyond happy with it & her services. Also want to mention her prices are definitely fair & affordable. I didnt even pay half the price of what someone else was trying to quote me. She also does facials which Im stoked about cause I struggle with breakouts. So ill def be back not only for my hair but also to see if she can work some magic on my face like she did with my hair. Miriam Leavell I had a wonderful experience at Shaes. I had horrible hair but she made me feel comfortable and welcome and did a great job. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, great with colors and highlights. She transformed my thin dry hair and made it look pretty! We may have to reconsider how to manage her hair because she is on a fixed income, shes retired and cant afford for price increases. They do excellent work, its just no longer affordable for us, thank you so much for yalls great work these past few years.

Got my hair done for my mom’s wedding and we came from San Antonio and had never been to MaryAnn’s before, but now I want to drive to Corpus just to get my hair done by her!! James Yates Well this is a hidden gem. Maryann is great! If you want an old school cut(real barber shop experience) thats the spot. They can do anything and everything. I got a nice trim and shave. Yes shave! They will edge you up with a straight razor and Im telling yall you wont get that at any chain haircut place or salon place. They do take care of the ladies as well. Point being if you want someone that knows how to do hair and really take care of you thats the spot to go. Check it out I bet you go back.

Adrianna Escamilla Amazing colorists thrive here. If you need to revive your hair color or try new blonde on this is the place to go!! The adjoined coffee shop also serves really tasty food in case you get hungry too. The glam team also did my wedding makeup my hair and they SERVED!!! On top of all this, the pricing is very fair and the vibes are immaculate.

Ashley Pena I had set an appointment for my sister at 2pm Which she was there before the time. They had her waiting 30 min and nobody helped her and finally when my mother asked when they were going to begin and they said they will have to wait 35-45 min. What is the point of scheduling an appointment and not having enough staff. The receptionist is very rude and Jessica who is suppose to do her hair was laughing and not caring. It is prom day there is no reason why they should be making difficult to get a hairstyle after scheduling in advance. Maria and Jessica all they were doing is laughing and looking around like lost puppies & your business phone keeps ringing off the hook and making more appointments when they are so behind because they won’t do their job because they are talking! Poor ladies who were just sitting down with bleach in their hair looking around to see when someone was going to finish their hair. Horrible customer service! Thank God another local hair salon was able to take her right now to do her updo!

Joy Puumala Since Salon Modesty opened, it has been the only place I go to get my hair cut, styled, or colored. Angela is a blonde-colorist guru and she always makes my visions a reality. Sometimes I walk in not sure and by the time I walk out I feel like a million bucks! Today, I just got a cut and style. But I’ve also gotten my hair colored here (lowlights and highlights), my eyebrows waxed and tinted, and bought their superior hair care products by Milkshake. Plus, the atmosphere, kids’ space, and coffee bar makes me feel like family. I LOVE SALON MODESTY!

Nicholl Leigh Love LOVE the kids area they have!! I brought my kids in with me not expecting it & it helped keep them occupied most of the time. The girls there also played with my kids to help distract them & gave them snacks!! I loved how patient everyone there was with the kiddos. Sabrina did my hair & at first it didn’t turn out exactly how I hoped but she fit me in the next day to redo it & now I’m obsessed!! Everyone there was just SOOO sweet. I recommend coming here 100%!!

Yessenia My husband and I couldn’t have been more thorough and specific with Maria about the type of haircut I wanted. It was explained well in detail. Even showed her pictures. I was well assured that she was more than capable to do it. Only to fall short to say the least. I would expect someone to be honest about their capabilities. It felt like it was rushed and that is why mistakes were made. To where I was also nicked with the scissors. I’m highly disappointed although she was pleasant she was not honest about her experience. I would not recommend unless you want to walk out with more than half your hair chopped off.

I left the Salon feeling very satisfied and much improved on, They were both super friendly, efficient and professional. The only down side was the extremely cold Aircon which understandably keeps the stylists comfortable, but I unfortunately got a little sick, the next day.

Marcy Kirtland I cannot say enough great things about this salon and the women who work here. Ive been coming here since 2019 shortly after they opened and I dont plan on ever stopping! Ill admit I went in with A LOT of particularities that I wanted to stick to...I had only ever had one other person cut my hair my WHOLE life and since I dont live in that city any more I had to branch out. And the coloring services are unparalleled, they work hard to create a custom color that fits your vision and your hair/skin tone perfectly. Beside that they have all organic products that only help strengthen the health and life of your hair?! What more could you ask for?! Steely Franklin I don’t think I could ever go to a different salon after going here! Everything is earth friendly and Amber is AMAZING! The past few times I’ve highlighted my hair (at a different salon) it has been completely damaged after so I decided to try this place and boy let me tell you. I got highlights here about two weeks and my hair has never felt so repaired and soft. The highlights look great but I cannot get over the fact about how incredibly soft my hair is. If you’re thinking about going to this salon, just do it.
