Sooners Doc Laura Nicole hit it OUT OF THE PARK today. I can’t say enough with how my hair turned out. She color corrected back to my natural color while disguising the gray. Very professional and courteous. Took her time to diligently create a fantastic finished product. I highly recommend her and I WILL BE NACK!

Crissinda Havens Lady was nice enough, but, I prefer more communication. Hair Stylists that communicate with their customers tend to create a better repor than others, makes us feel like we can trust him.

Siena I box dyed my hair in early March, today I finally went in to get it fixed and Im so happy with it. She is kind; funny; and knowledgeable!!! She did an amazing job, and all for a great price. She even threw in a free micro trim!!! She uses great products, that do not do extensive damage. Went from a dark strawberry to a light cool toned blonde, so that required a ton of bleaching but my hair feels so good, and not at all like its just waiting to completely fall out, which is definitely a risk with bleaching! This girl has some serious talent gifted to her! Yall will seriously love her!!!!!!! (Having trouble uploading images right now, so I will try to share later)

Susan Hood Laura does a fantastic job cutting my curly hair! She is very meticulous and helps my thinning spots not be so obvious. I highly recommend her to curly cuties!

Maureen Laroche I called specifically to ask if they cut curly hair, they told me yes and gave me the price. I showed up to the appointment with my hair untied. They sat me on the chair just to tell me immediately they dont cut this type of hair. One one hand, I appreciate that they didnt cut my hair anyway, but why did they lie on the phone? They could clearly see my hair when I got in. They sat me down anyway and embarrassed me... they couldnt be bothered to learn to cut various type of hair... Terrible experience.

Charlie Glen NOT FO MEN! I made an appointment the day before. When I set down I asked Diana to cut the hairline to the skin and taper to the existing length of the top. She replied, "I dont do special cuts. I am not a barber. I am a hairdresser indicating that I should leave. So I did.

Sarah Leonard The fabulous Nanette cut, dyed and styled my hair for over 9 years until I permanently moved off the Island. Although I have moved around the country several times, I have yet to find a hairstylist that cuts my deceptively thick hair as well as Nanette. Recently, while home for Thanksgiving, I had the pleasure of having Nanette cut and highlight my hair again. L G Best haircut I have ever gotten on this island! I wish that more of the women actually worked instead of sitting around talking to each other. Walk-ins are never accepted that I can tell and they have ants on and by the one couch they have. They need more seating if they are going to make people wait so long, too.

Walking Brown The Isle This is the best salon in Galveston hands down! Kim, Jocelyn, Laura and our truly missed Sophia are the most talented and professional group of ladies I’ve ever been to! Everyone there is always so kind and speaks to you. The salon is spotless and remains clean through out appointments. I never feel rushed and it always feels like hanging out with my best girl friends. They use the best quality products, give great advice on maintenance and how to maintain healthy hair but also giving you the perfect style you desire. I can not say enough good things about this salon. I know if I was a stylist I would definitely want to be apart of this team of ladies.

Claudia Bautista I don’t recommend Laura, I was very excited to book two appointments with her, especially because she was refer. I kept giving her dates and times to schedule she just kept telling me she couldn’t those days never gave me an availability so I can work around her. She would leave me on read for more than a day, I’ll have to resend the message to get another “I can’t that day”.Because this is all I was getting I message her back letting her know that I still haven’t gotten an availability to set an appointment and still wondering if she Is doing the appointments if not so I can look elsewhere. She message me back telling me she couldn’t do the two appointments together, she just assume & never ask I wanted the appointment together I never told her that. I told her they didn’t have to be together whatever she had I’ll just work with it but I need to know availability in order to work around it and better communication on all you need to be able to complete an appointment. She answer back with she has been busy at work & I probably won’t get a response. That she has kids and is human and gets tired too. I let her know her response was unprofessional and there was no need for an attitude, I let her know again all I needed was information to schedule an appointment instead of very vague answers. She didn’t address the attitude or the unprofessionalism all she said “more than welcome to find someone else”.

Donna Fraley I brought my grand girls to The Salon Group to have their haircut with Carrie. She was beyond wonderful!! She was so kind, patient and skilled. She paid great attention to detail and the girls (and me), just LOVED their adorable haircuts! We will definitely be back!

Paige Weimer I’ve been taking my sons (3 & 9 y/o) here for awhile now. Jose took us as a walk in and we’ve been seeing him ever since. The atmosphere is family friendly, the staff is always polite and engaging if you’re a social person. Generally it seems like the barbers always have someone in their chair so I suggest booking in advance if you’re in a rush. The prices are very reasonable and I haven’t had any issues or complaints.

J D These guys are the real deal. Attention to detail is job one. Not pretentious, just better barber skills and a work ethic that shows in the result. V2... Been getting haircuts here for a few years now, and its consistently good. Leo and Haley are killers. No drama, just good people doing a badass job cutting hair and trimming beards. New to the team is Cole, so now you have no excuses. Appointments are recommended, but walk in if you have that golden opportunity. Autumn Evans Hailey did a fantastic job cutting my 3 year old son’s hair! She was friendly and is great with kiddos. I would highly recommend her and the rest of the barbers took their time and were also very precise.

Casa de Salazar A great place for a haircut. If you are going on a cruise, need a touch-up while on vacation or just the usual beard trim this is the place.

Melonie Smith Mr. Torres and his family owned barber beauty salon are AMAZING!!! Every time we come to Galveston, we have to stop by. They are wonderful with children of all ages.

Tonn Cao, Ph.D. Neighborhood Gem: I recently moved to Galveston and was looking for a place to cut my hair. I found this place just a few blocks down from my home in the East End. Its family owned and everyone is super friendly. Its very easy to get an appointment. Angelica does my hair and it always comes out modern and exactly the way I want it. Her skills are comparable to those in fancy big city salons. I would highly recommend this place for a mens cut.

I made an appointment for a hair cut and style--would be $35 and I would tip $5. Well, for some reason, she said she would not be washing my hair. She then cut it --spent a short time doing that, not like my previous appointment. She did not offer to style it, using a curling iron or flat iron. She was done and told me that would be $30! I went home with dirty hair and no style. I am not happy with this hair cut. She knew I was here for the winter so I would guess she knew I would not be returning so she didnt really care--so disappointing and now I will have to go to another hair stylist to correct this mess...Ugh! I tipped her because that is what I do, but I was foolish to do that!! She was undeserving...

Lauren Webb We discovered Mrs. Ana sometime before 2022 and have been going to her ever since! She does such a fabulous job every single time for the entire family! She’s the only person we trust with my son’s unruly curly hair and she does a wonderful job with my hip length hair. She’s always pleasant and accommodating. She’s patient, helpful, responsive, laid back, and friendly. She is a great listener and highly skilled at her craft.. you won’t be disappointed!

Rey M Virginia is very nice and talented. I mentioned to her that I don’t style my hair often so she was able to cut my hair where it looks styled even when I let my hair dry naturally. usually_unusual I’ve been working on my hair for a long time getting it to the style I wanted getting it permed, and I’ve been so happy with it, but overtime I needed a trim. I figured I’d go to cheaper salon since i was sure they could handle a simple trim. I went in with long curls that I loved to death, and came out with a straight bowl cut super short above my eye brows. All I asked for was a 2.5 inch off trim. When I asked how much 2.5 inches off would be instead of showing me with her hands, she got a shaver and shaved it TO A 2.5, I should’ve ran out from there when I had the chance.

Holly Yandle Matthew is very thorough. He took the time to color match to skin tone and eye color. He also showed my husband how to feather my toddlers bangs when cutting them.

Vann V Fabiola is extremely patient and very friendly. the salon is also very clean. I bleached my hair in the front (2 foils) and it came out perfect. ❤️Even though there was 2 people waiting after me she did not rush like most salons would do. Excellent service!!!

Diana Villalobos I’ve been going there for a while but it seems like she raised the prices up. I went to get my hair straightened she charged me $45 supposedly because of how long our hair is. I mean my hair isn’t that long and it seemed to pricey for me. She used to charge me $35. Maybe is because I don’t go to her often I don’t know.

Cheri Wood Linda is amazing. Always works to get my hair just like I want it. If I think something isnt quite right, shell fix it. She is a super nice person. One of the first people who was friendly to me when I moved here. She does amazing coloring and has very reasonable prices.

April Servin I dont advise anyone to go here I wanted a chocolate Brown cause that was the color of my bottom half of my hair the lady said that my bottom half was a mocha color and that I had highlights in my hair which I clearly did not. I told her I wanted my hair all one color and I wanted her to put hair dye on all of my hair. she only touched up the top half of my hair and the top half looked so much lighter than the bottom half. my roots came out looking orange and while she was doing my hair she got about 4 phone calls and she stopped working on my hair each time she got a phone call, so she could talk I mean yea each phone call was probably like 2 minutes top, but I mean come on either your gonna do my hair or talk on the phone. I also did not like how she was supposed to be doing my hair and she kept stopping in between to do other cIients hair I had an appointment for a certain time and I thought that was so rude of her to keep me waiting like that I had horrible service, I didnt get the color I wanted, and I had to drive 30 minutes to get there it was just a complete waste of my time. I dont advise anyone to go here. Im not trying to be rude but this was just flat out ridiculous.

Aimee Stephens Diana is a miracle worker! I cut my own bangs (I know!) and she was able to fit me in and make me look less crazy - I have teens and a pre-schooler so I am always a little cuckoo looking, but my bangs and hair are lit as the kids say. She also gave me practical tips so I can style at home. My 4 year-old hates having her hair touched and Dianas gentle and patient Spirit has charmed my baby girl to where Caroline now asks to go to Diana for a haircut. Dont be fooled by the exterior; there is pure magic inside.

Suzanne Chesner I moved to Galveston 2 years ago and have been a grateful regular customer of Lindas Mirror Images ever since. Amazing work, FAST, economical! I get my hair cut, the roots colored and then highlights, I have lived in big cities, but this is the best.

Justin Meredith My haircut is simple. I only go once every 4-6 weeks mainly because my neck looks bad. I went to Island Retreat on 61. Pretty chill place. Music was good. I asked how much and one lady said $18. Got into see Savanna with no wait ( 3:00 Monday). I biked there so was a little hot and sweaty, not drenched. I said “ sorry I’m a little sweaty, maybe you want to do a shampoo first?” She said “ so what are we doing with your hair today!” Completely ignoring my concern. I guess it didn’t bother her. She wasn’t very talkative which I’m usually ok with, but new to the island I could have used a LITTLE more chitchat. She seemed a little subdued. When I asked her how her day was going she said “ can’t complain “. I told her keep it long on top and shorter on the sides and back. I said sometimes I do a #2, but longer and blended is good too. I like that she did the fade with the special scissor and not just clipping the whole thing. She was done in like 10 minutes. Kind of unusual that she didn’t touch the top AT ALL! I said “ looks good, but can you just trim up the dead ends on top?” She did trim it nice, not too much. Check out was $20, and I didn’t ask about the $18. Tip $5, should have been like 3, but I work service industry. In and out no frills and reasonable prices. Oh and her booth was decorated nice!

Linda Hazen Ive been here several times for a haircut. Mandy have me an emergency repair cut in December. She did a great job. I was there again last week for a trim and was also pleased. Great location, clean shop and the wait was reasonable. They do not take appointments, only walk-ins. That works for me.

Shelby G. Scarbrough Savannah was great!! And years ago, I had another person cut my hair, and I recall being pleased with her as well. The price is very reasonable too! The reason for the low rating is the unprofessional behavior of Katelyn, who I presume is the owner, or manager. I walked in, asked about availability, and she asked me to sign in. At that point, I noticed the door didn’t close, so I went over to close it and slid on the mat, falling on the ground and out the door. She asked if I was ok, and said that had never happened before and quickly resumed tending to her client’s hair. Thankfully, a concerned patron tended to me. After my cut, I turned to Katelyn and asked if there was any paperwork to fill out, in case I have issues in the next couple of days after my fall. Her response was, I’ve had that mat for 12 years. Well, there’s ALWAYS a first time. Against my better judgement to file an incident/ injury report, I decided to leave because it was evident she was not taking ownership, despite witnessing the event. Say what you must, the mat slid, and I fell. The other client saw it and I lived it - no need to see a video. Bottom line, I’m not trying to get anything from you, merely to point out your unprofessional behavior and poor response to someone getting hurt in your salon.

All of us almost fell asleep during the massage portion of the pedicure. They care about cleanliness, comfort and safety of their guests.

Zahra S I didnt have a working cell phone plan since I was visiting the US so I was driving from salon to salon to find someone last minute to do my hair for a wedding that day. I was so lucky that one of the stylists had a cancellation and was able to squeeze me in. Unfortunately I forgot her name, but shes Lulus daughter; she was excellent. She had been doing hair her whole life and I could tell that she was very knowledgeable. She styled my hair perfectly and gave me tips on how to keep it healthy. They were also very well priced and customer service was excellent. 10/10 would recommend.

May I was very nervous and skeptical going for a haircut but it was my best experience here. Nurse M I made an appointment online for my husband . He is in Galveston for work and needed haircut . Appointment was with Patrick when we walked in , he was still working w client before us. He asked if it’s ok to let other barber do my husband hair cut and we said sure ! I’m not sure other Barber’s name but let me tell you , he did an awesome haircut and beard trim . My husband said this was the best haircut he ever had . We have been traveled all over the world and this is the best hair cut he ever had ! I recommended make an appointment online and go try !
